Later in the day, Naomi and Mia were in their room, preparing to go to bed.
"He's inviting you for his family dinner this weekend?" she asked, Mia nodded, her eyes fixed on the floor. "What was your response?"
"I tried to decline, he refused,"
"But his family doesn't seem bad," Naomi said, trying to sound optimistic.
"I know, but his mother warned me,"
"Expect that," she added.
They both sighed, understanding the complexities of the situation.

The next day, Mr. Daniels was alone in the house when someone knocked on the door. He walked slowly to open it and was surprised to see the queen with her guards standing in front of the door.
"Your Majesty," he said, surprised and a bit intimidated. Queen Lala gave him a hard gaze.
"Listen, I'm not here for a silly chat with you, but to tell you to warn your whore of a daughter to stay away from my son," she said, her voice cold and menacing. "I know you're aware that she's charmed my son into having an affair with her."
"Your Majesty, I'm sorry about that..." He tried to apologize, but Queen Lala cut him off.
"Sorry for your stupid self! If she doesn't stay away, I'll make her life more miserable. She's not the woman I want for my son, and she never will be. She shouldn't dare me. I won't repeat myself again," she hissed,
With that, she turned and left with her guards, leaving Mr. Daniels feeling defeated and worried. He sighed sadly as he closed the door and went back inside, wondering how he would handle the situation.
Meanwhile, in the office, Naomi came out of Diva's office after she summoned her. She looked angry after their confrontation, which didn't go well as usual. She was holding some files as she was about to enter the elevator when she bumped into Ben, making her drop her files.
"Oops, I'm sorry," Ben said as he bent to assist her in picking up the files from the ground.
"It's okay," Naomi replied, trying to hide her frustration.
"It seems you have a lot of work to do," Ben observed, noticing the stack of files.
"Yeah," Naomi replied tiredly, and they both stood up.
"Thank you," she said, taking the files from Ben.
"You're welcome," Ben replied with a smile. "You know, I was thinking... will you be busy next week?"
"I don't know, why?"
"It's my birthday next week, and I'm celebrating it. I'd love to invite you,"
"Oh, that's nice. Remind me when it's time,"
"Okay, I will. Thank you," Ben said, relieved.
"You're welcome," Naomi replied.
"Alright, see you later," he said, smiling and walking away while Naomi enter the elevator.
Later that day, at the dinner table, Mr. Daniels wore a moody face, and his daughters noticed.
"Dad, are you okay?" Mia asked, jolting him out of his thoughts.
"Yes," he replied, forcing a smile.
"You don't seem happy. Did something happen?" Naomi asked.
"Actually, the queen was here earlier today," Mr. Daniels said, They were surprised.
"What? Did she do something to you?" Mia asked curiously
"No, but just to make a sound warning," Mr. Daniels explained, looking at Naomi. "She's really angry that you're going out with her son. She's aware of it, which means you have to be very careful,"
Naomi and Mia exchanged a knowing glance, both of them sighing in unison.

During the weekend, Mrs. Adam was busy preparing for the dinner, her family wondering why she was so happy about the special guest Nathan was bringing over. Different meals were prepared, and the dining table was lavishly set.
Meanwhile, Naomi and Mia were in the room, seated on the bed. Naomi was anxious about her date with Alex tonight. She had tried to come up with an excuse to turn it down, considering the queen's warning, but she couldn't.
"You have a few more minutes, he'll be here soon," Mia said, trying to reassure her.
"What if it goes wrong? I don't want to get into his mother's nerves," she said, Mia placed a consoling hand on her shoulder.
"Don't think too much. This date means a lot more to him. It's your first date. Make a memory of it. Let's go get dressed. Soon, Nathan will be here too," she said, trying to distract Naomi from her worries.
Naomi sighed, still looking uncertain.
At the palace, Alex came out of his room, dressed in a suit and looking handsome as always. He entered the living room to see his dad watching TV.
"Hey, son, going out?" his dad asked, smiling.
"Yes, Dad... how do I look?" He asked, striking a pose.
"Handsome as always," his dad replied, chuckling.
Just then, Queen Lala interrupted them from the staircase.
"Alex, where are you going?"
"I'm going out, Mom," Alex replied.
"With who?" Queen Lala asked, her voice stern.
"Why are you asking him? He's a grown-up man. Let him go," King Luke said, intervening.
"Stop taking sides with him. Your son is cheating with his betrothed, and you're supporting him," Queen Lala said.
. "Mom, can you please stop? Elora and I are not together anymore,"he sighed tiredly, trying to reason with her.
"You lied! Over my dead body will I allow you to bring that wretched thing into this house," she said, her voice rising.
"I'm not ready for this right now," he said, turning to leave. But his mother's voice stormed the room.
"Close that door!" she ordered the guards at the door, and they obeyed by locking the door.
Alex and his father were surprised. Queen Lala moved to the guard, took the keys from them, and placed them on her breast.
"Mom, what are you doing? I'm late," Alex said, frustration creeping into his voice.
"You're not leaving this house,"
"Lala, what has come over you?" King Luke asked, but she ignored him and walked away.
"Is she really serious right now?" Alex asked, feeling trapped.
"Don't worry, I'll get the keys back," King Luke said, walking away to intervene.
Alex sighed in frustration, feeling like his plans were being derailed by his mother's interference.
King Luke entered the room to see his wife seated on the couch, operating her phone.
"Let me have the keys," he said, his voice calm but firm. She ignored him, her focus on her phone. "Lala, do you think keeping him indoors will change his mind? For goodness' sake, can't you just be supportive of him?" He asked, trying to reason with her.
"I will never support what will bring doom to this kingdom. Alex is bringing shame to us, and I will never let that happen, not on my watch," Queen Lala snapped.
"What shame are you talking about? Is it the same as ending his engagement with the woman we chose for him or him going after what his heart truly wants?".
"My no still stands," she said, her voice firm, as she continued operating her phone.
King Luke sighed and moved to her, quickly dipping his hand inside her dress and taking the keys forcefully.
"In case you don't know, I am your husband. Hiding those keys there won't stop me," he said, his eyes locked on hers.
She tried to grab the keys from him, but King Luke was too quick.
"You are not doing this!" she exclaimed.
"I will," King Luke said, grabbing her hand and pushing her slightly onto the bed. "Don't think I don't have the strength to put you in your place. I might be getting old, but the old strength still remains. I won't let you stand in the way of our son's happiness," he said, his voice firm. With that, he rushed out and locked the door from the outside.
"Luke!" Queen Lala yelled, rushing to open the door, but it was locked. She started banging on it angrily.
King Luke came out to see his son pacing around the living room.
"Here you go, son," he said, handing over the keys to Alex.
"Thanks, Dad. But how did you get the keys?"
"I've been with your mother for twenty-eight years, and I know how to handle her grumpy attitude," King Luke said, smiling.
"Thank you, Dad," Alex said, hugging his father.
"Go on now. You don't want to keep her waiting," he said, smiling at his son.
Alex rushed to open the door and came out, and King Luke smiled after him, feeling a sense of satisfaction.
