MY DAUGHTER'S NANNY
TAG: Love and betrayal.
Ji-soo walked alongside Ji-mi along the road near her father's house, unaware that a car was discreetly following them. As they approached the gate, Ji-soo instructed Ji-mi to enter.
"Aren't you coming with me, Nanny?" She asked, turning to Ji-soo.
"No, I need to hurry back home and get my things prepared for my trip," Ji-soo replied, and Ji-mi's eyes widened in surprise.
"You're traveling?" she asked, her voice trembling.
Ji-soo nodded, her hand instinctively touching her tummy.
"Yes, Princess. I want to go far away and start a new life with my baby."
"I thought you said you wouldn't leave me."her eyes filled with tears as she sniffed,
She gently wiped away Ji-mi's tears, her own eyes brimming with emotion.
"I won't, I'll come back once I have my baby. I promise."
"Are you sure? How long should I wait?"
"It will take long, but I promise to be back,"
Ji-mi threw her arms around Ji-soo's neck, tears streaming down her face.
"Please don't forget your promise and come back for me."
"I won't, I love you so much." She smiled, caressing her face.
"I love you too, Nanny." Ji-mi pulled back, smiling weakly.
They waved at each other as Ji-mi entered the gate while ji-soo watched her go, a bittersweet smile on her face.
As Ji-mi turned back to look for Ji-soo, she noticed she was gone. Tears pricked at her eyes once more, and she rushed back to the gate, hoping to catch a glimpse of her beloved nanny. Instead, she was met with a horrific scene: Ji-soo being held by two men and dragged into a van. Fear gripped Ji-mi's heart as their eyes met, and she tried to scream, but her voice was muffled as the men overpowered ji-soo and sped away in the van.
"Dad!" Ji-mi's voice pierced the air as she screamed,
Her tiny feet pounded the floor as she ran towards the mansion, her breath coming in ragged gasps. Min-soo's conversation with the police officers was interrupted by his daughter's frantic cry. He sprang to his feet, his eyes locking onto Ji-mi as she sprinted towards him.
"Ji-mi!" he called out, rushing to meet her halfway. The police officers followed close behind, their faces etched with concern. Min-soo's eyes widened as he took in his daughter's terrified expression. She was running as if her life depended on it, her small body shaking with fear.
As Min-soo enveloped Ji-mi in a tight hug, she buried her face in his chest, sobbing uncontrollably.
"My princess," he whispered, his voice trembling with worry. Ji-mi's body shook in his arms, her tiny fists clenched in his shirt.
When Min-soo pulled back, Ji-mi's face was red and puffy from crying.
"D...Dad, they took her," she stammered, her words barely intelligible.
Min-soo's expression softened as he tried to make sense of her words.
"What are you saying?" he asked gently. "Are you okay? Where have you been? You've left me worried sick. Stop crying and talk to me."
"Nanny...they took her". Ji-mi's words tumbled out in a rush.
Eun-seo and Ha-yoon moved closer.
"Did your nanny kidnap you? Was she the one?" Eun-seo asked, but Ji-mi shook her head emphatically.
"No, she brought me here, Dad. I saw her being dragged into the van. They kidnapped her. You have to save her, Dad. Please!"
Min-soo pulled her closer, his hand stroking her hair in a soothing motion.
"I will, baby. I'll do everything to save her. Just calm down. I'm happy you're home safe."
Ji-mi's sobs slowly subsided as she clung to her father, her eyes pleading with him to rescue her beloved nanny.
Ji-soo was dragged into the old mansion, her captors roughly pushing her towards the room where her uncle awaited. As the door swung open, they shoved her inside, and she stumbled, falling to the floor with a groan. Her uncle's eyes widened in surprise as he called out her name.
"Ji-soo!" He rushed towards her, helping her up. "Are you okay?"
Ji-soo's gaze darted towards them, her eyes locking onto their concerned faces. For a moment, she wondered how they had ended up here, but the memories of their past actions came flooding back, and she recoiled, pulling away from them.
"Ji-soo, we're sorry. We know you hate us for what we did to you, and I know it's too late to apologize." Her uncle's words echoed hers, his voice cracking with emotion. "please forgive us. Please."
As they begged, Ji-soo pushed herself further away, her arms wrapped tightly around her knees as she sobbed. Her uncle and Hye-ji dared not approach her, instead keeping their distance as they continued to plead for forgiveness.
"You have every right to hate us," her uncle admitted, tears streaming down his face. "We don't deserve your forgiveness, but please, find a place in your heart to forgive us." Hye-ji's sobs mingled with Ji-soo's as they begged for absolution, but Ji-soo remained silent, her pain and anguish palpable as she continued to cry.
"What do you want from me?" Ji-soo asked, as she finally spoke.
"We want your apologize, Ji-soo," her uncle said. "We know we hurt you deeply, and we're truly sorry."
"Sorry?" Ji-soo's laughter was bitter. "You think a simple apology can make up for everything you've done to me?"
Hye-ji stepped forward, tears streaming down her face.
"We know it's not enough, Ji-soo. We don't expect you to forgive us easily. But please, find it in your heart to forgive us."
"Forgive you? You think I'm just going to forgive you after everything you've put me through? You've ruined my life, and now you expect me to forgive you?"
"We understand if you can't forgive us right away. But please, don't shut us out completely. We're willing to do whatever it takes to make things right." Her uncle said.
"You'll do whatever it takes? That's rich coming from you. You've never done anything for me except hurt me. Why should I believe you'll suddenly change now?"
As they continued to talk, Ji-soo's emotions poured out, and her uncle and Hye-ji listened, their faces etched with regret. Despite Ji-soo's anger and hurt, they continued to plead for forgiveness, hoping that one day she might find it in her heart to pardon them.
*Min-soo mansion*
Min-soo emerged from the room, dressed to leave after putting his daughter to sleep. Eun-seo was seated in the living room, while Ha-yoon was in the kitchen.
"Granny," he called out, and Ha-yoon rushed to answer him. "I'll leave Ji-mi in your care," he said. "I might be away for while. When she wakes up, tell her I went to fulfill her request." Ha-yoon nodded, understanding what he meant.
"Please be safe," she said.
Min-soo nodded and turned to leave, but Eun-seo stopped him.
"Where are you going?" she asked.
"I'm going to bring my daughter's nanny back to where she belongs," Min-soo replied.
"Why? What's your deal with her? She's just a nanny, nothing more."
"Don't tell me what to do. You're not anywhere better than her. I'm bringing her back here, and there's nothing you can do about it."
"I am your fiancée! I have every right to say no!"She spat
Min-soo scoffed.
"You don't know, do you? Your father and our agreement ended two months ago. He didn't tell you that we're no longer together. That I won't keep up with a cheat and a liar."
"What did you say?" she repeated, shocked.
"You heard me," Min-soo said firmly. "If I come back, I don't want to see you in my house. I only kept quiet because your father begged me not to, to protect his reputation."
"Min-soo...." Eun-seo tried to touch him, but Min-soo shot her a hard gaze, making her reel backward in fear.
"To avoid unnecessary conflict, you're advised to leave my house before I return. Otherwise, it will be hell for you."
"You can't do this. I'm sorry, it won't happen again. You can choose that gold digger over me."Eun-seo's voice trembled.
"I already have. I made a big mistake, and it's time to fix it."
"What do you mean by that?"
Min-soo's words dropped like a bombshell.
"I'm bringing my child back here. This is its home."
"Your child?" Eun-seo repeated, stunned.
"Exactly," he confirmed. "The child Ji-soo is carrying is mine."
With that, Min-soo walked away, leaving Eun-seo reeling from the shock. Ha-yoon's eyes were wide with surprise, and Eun-seo collapsed onto the couch, her world turned upside down.
