Warning: Stay clear from this book

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

Queen Lala dragged Alexander to his room, her grip on his arm tight. Diva followed closely behind, a smug look on her face.

As soon as they entered the room, Queen Lala slammed the door shut and turned to him, her eyes blazing with anger.

"What do you think you are doing? When did you start mingling with commoners?" she yelled.

Alexander sat down on the bed, his face scrunched up in a frown.

"She's not a commoner, Mom. Her name is Naomi, and she's my friend."

"Your friend? Don't you know people like them are beneath us? They're not worthy of our company."

"But why not? Naomi is very nice."

"I have made myself clear: if I ever see her here again, I won't be this nice. Stay away from her."

Her warning hung in the air, and Alexander felt a shiver run down his spine. He knew his mother was not a person to be trifled with.

Queen Lala turned to leave, Diva following closely behind. Alexander sighed tiredly, feeling confused and torn. He didn't know what to do, but he knew he couldn't just abandon Naomi.

Later that evening, the royal family gathered at the dining table. King Luke, who had just returned from a meeting with other kings from neighboring kingdoms, noticed that Alexander looked troubled.

"Alexander, what's wrong? Why do you have that look on your face?" King Luke asked.

"It's Mom. She chased Naomi out of the house."

"Why did you do that?" he asked Queen Lala.

"So, you know our son was mingling with commoners?"

"I was the one who asked her to come play with Alex here. What's wrong with that?"

"Everything! I don't want that girl here ever again."

"Mom, you can't stop her from coming here. She's my friend, and Father approved of her."

King Luke nodded in agreement. "Let her be, she means no harm."

"Not on my watch! That girl will never step foot here again."

"I agree with Mom. You should focus on Elora now. She's not only your betrothed but also your friend." Diva said.

"Exactly, son. She'll be here tomorrow, and you two can play together."

Alexander ignored them, focusing instead on his food.

Meanwhile, Naomi was seated with her father in the security post, looking moody. Her father, Mr. Daniels, was trying to cheer her up, but she was still reeling from the earlier encounter with Queen Lala.

Just then, Mrs. Ruth appeared, accompanied by her daughter, Mia. She was carrying a food flask, which she had brought to deliver to Mr. Daniels and his assistant.

"Good day, Mr. Daniels," Mrs. Ruth greeted, smiling warmly.

Mr. Daniels smiled back at her, his eyes crinkling at the corners.

Naomi met eyes with Mia, and they shared a warm smile. Mia's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she took in Naomi's appearance.

Mrs. Ruth handed the food flask to Mr. Daniels, who thanked her again. "You're welcome," she replied. "Is this your daughter?" she asked, her gaze landing on Naomi.

 "Yes."Mr. Daniels nodded.

Mia moved closer to Naomi, her eyes shining with excitement. "What's your name?" she asked.

"I'm Naomi," she replied.

"I'm Mia,"

Their parents smiled at each other, happy to see their daughters getting along.

"Do you stay here too?" Mia asked Naomi.

 "No."She shook her head.

"Oh, I live here with my mom. Do you mind if I come to play with you?"

Naomi smiled, feeling a sense of friendship blossoming. "Okay."

Mia turned to her mother, who nodded in agreement. "Mom, can I?" She asked.

 "Sure, dear."Her mother smiled.

Naomi and Mia smiled at each other, already looking forward to their next playdate.

The next day, Naomi and Mia were playing in the security post, laughing and chatting like old friends.

"So, you're friends with the prince?" Mia asked.

"Yes, we were... but not anymore."

"But why? Did you two have a fight?"

"No... his mother chased me out and warned me never to come close to him again. You needed to see the anger in her eyes."

"You're lucky you met the prince, I only met the princess and her friend in a bad situation."

"Was she mean to you?" Naomi asked.

Mia nodded

Just then, Naomi heard someone calling out her name quietly from the gate. She turned to see Alexander, his eyes scanning the area nervously.. she stood up and rushed to him.

"Alex, what are you doing here?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Mia followed close behind, her eyes wide with curiosity.

"I'm sorry, Naomi. Are you alright?" he asked, his voice low and urgent.

"Yes, I'm fine," Naomi replied, her eyes scanning the area nervously. "What are you doing here? What if your mom sees you?"

Alex shrugged. "It's okay, my mom is not around. She went out."

Mia's eyes widened as she whispered to Naomi, "Is he the prince?" Naomi nodded, and Mia's face lit up with excitement. "So, you're the prince," She said, smiling at Alex.

"Yes, but you can call me Alex."Alex smiled back.

"Nice to meet you, I've always wished to meet you."

Alex chuckled. "Um, thanks. Who are you? Do your parents work here?"

"Yes, my mom is the cook here."

 "Oh, you're Nanny's daughter."

"Yes, you can call me Mia."

"Nice to meet you, Mia."Alex smiled back.

 "Me too."Mia grinned.

Alex turned to Naomi. "Don't worry, Naomi. I'll talk to my father to help convince my mom to let you stay in the palace."

"Okay."

"Alright, see you tomorrow in school. Bye."He smiled.

He waved at them, and they waved back as he left.

"Wait, you two attend the same school?" Mia asked as they returned to the post.

Naomi nodded. "Yes, but not in the same building."

 "Wow, you're so lucky."

Naomi smiled, and they shared a warm moment.

"Finally, my dream of meeting the royals has come true," Mia said, excitedly

Naomi smiled at her, happy to have shared the experience with her new friend.

Later, Elora came, and they all moved to the veranda, chatting and laughing together. Alexander joined them, but he seemed uninterested in their conversation.

"I'll be traveling back to the state tomorrow," Elora announced.

"Really? So soon?" Diva asked, her voice tinged with disappointment.

Elora nodded. "Yes, my school is resuming next week."

"Oh, I'll miss you. When will you be back again?"Diva pouted.

Elora thought for a moment. "Probably the next holiday."

"How I wish I could come with you."

"You can ask your parents. They'll want you to round up your studies over there. Believe me, there're the best schools and universities."Elora said smiling.

Diva turned to Alexander. "Of course, I would love to. Right, Alex?"

But Alexander shook his head. "I'm not going. I like it here."

 "Why not, Alex?"Elora asked

Alexander shrugged. "It's what I want."

Diva rolled her eyes. "Don't listen to him. He'll change his mind sooner or later."

Alexander scoffed, his face unyielding.
