As they arrived at the movie center, they stepped out of the car and headed inside. Nathan went to buy the movie tickets while Alex stayed with the ladies. Unbeknownst to him, a group of ladies couldn't help but admire him, secretly snapping photos. Alex was engrossed in his phone, oblivious to the attention.
Naomi and Mia subtly distanced themselves from him, not wanting to be in the way. However, Alex quickly grabbed Naomi's hand, pulling her closer. She was taken aback, her face flushing as she tried to hide from the admiring glances. Alex, on the other hand, seemed unfazed, while Mia watched with amusement.
When Nathan returned with the tickets, he noticed the commotion and swiftly intervened. He approached the ladies taking photos and, with the help of some security personnel, urged them to delete the images. The ladies looked disappointed but complied, deleting the photos. Nathan thanked them and the security team before turning to his group.
"Let's go, I got the tickets," Nathan said, leading the way.
"I'll get some snacks," Alex said, walking off and dragging Naomi along with him.
Mia and Nathan watched them go, exchanging a knowing glance.
A short while later, Alex and Naomi returned with snacks in hand. They joined Nathan and Mia, and together they climbed the lift to the cinema hall. Nathan held Mia's hand as they ascended, while some onlookers continued to snap photos, making the ladies feel uneasy. Their men, however, seemed unbothered.
Upon entering the theater room, they found a secluded area designated for VIPs, thanks to the premium tickets Nathan had purchased. As they settled into their seats, the ladies couldn't help but marvel at the luxurious setup.
The lights in the hall dimmed, plunging the room into darkness, until the screen lit up, illuminating the faces of the audience. The movie began, and everyone's attention was riveted to the screen, including Naomi and Mia, who munched on their popcorn, their eyes glued to the action unfolding before them.
Meanwhile, at home, Elora was growing increasingly worried. He had tried calling Alex's phone multiple times, but it went unanswered. It seemed Alex had left for the movie night without mentioning it to anyone at home.
"Is he still not answering?" Queen Lala asked, emerging from her room to join Elora in the living room.
"No, Mom, it's already past 7 pm," Elora replied.
"I left before him, and he said he was going out with Nathan," Diva chimed in. "I'm sure that's why he's not back yet."
"I'm not comfortable with his constant hanging out with Nathan. It's been so long, and we haven't even hung out."
"Don't worry, just wait for him. He'll return." Queen Lala said and they sighed.
Back at the cinema, the movie played on, captivating the audience. Alex and Nathan watched their partners, enjoying their reactions and laughter. As the credits rolled, the audience began to file out, but Alex and his friends remained seated, waiting for the crowd to disperse.
"Did you enjoy the movie?" Nathan asked Mia, his eyes sparkling with interest.
"It was amazing! I wish I could watch it over and over again."
"I can make that happen. We can watch it again tomorrow."
"Um, no, you don't have to. I'm okay."
Nathan took her hand, helping her up. "Let's go," he said.
"We'll meet you two outside," Alex called out to Nathan.
As Nathan and Mia departed, Alex turned to Naomi.
"You want to go somewhere with me?" he asked, his eyes locked onto hers.
"Where?" She asked.
"It's fireworks tonight at the bridge," he replied. "It's been a long time since I attended one. You want to come with me?" Naomi nodded, and Alex's face lit up with a smile. "Okay, let's go," he said, taking her hand as they stood up and walked away.
As they stepped outside, Nathan revealed that he had already arranged for a car to pick him up. He handed the keys to one of his trusted guards, who had brought the vehicle over and he booked a ride for him to him home.
"Are we going on separate cars?" Mia asked.
"Yes, dear," Nathan replied. "I have somewhere to take you."
"Naomi and I are going to see the fireworks. We'll see each other soon."Alex chimed in.
The two women shared a warm goodbye, embracing each other tightly.
"Stay safe," Naomi whispered.
"You too," Mia replied, pulling away from the hug.
As they parted ways, Alex opened the front door of his car for Naomi, while Nathan did the same for Mia. They bid each other farewell before driving off in different directions.
Some minutes later, Alex and Naomi arrived at the bridge. They parked the car and strolled hand in hand, taking in the breathtaking view. The bridge was dotted with couples and groups of people, all gathered to witness the fireworks display.
"Did we make it on time?" Naomi asked, her eyes scanning the sky.
"Yes, it will begin in the next thirty minutes," Alex replied, smiling.
"This place is so amazing."she said, as she took in the scenery.
"I'm glad you like the view,"
"I love it," She replied, her smile radiant as they gazed up at the stars.
Just then, a shooting star streaked across the sky, and Naomi quickly made a wish. Alex watched her, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he smiled.
"What did you wish for?" he asked.
"I wish for a moment like this with you never to be a dream but a blessed memory."she turned to him, her eyes shining with emotion.
Alex's heart skipped a beat as he absorbed her words, feeling a deep connection to her. He looked at her, his gaze filled with admiration and affection.
"I want that too," he said, his voice filled with emotion as he took her hands firmly, their eyes locking in a deep gaze. "I wish to be by your side forever and never let go."
"Alex, that can't happen. You're engaged to be married soon." She said as tears filled their eyes.
"That's the mistake I made for going against what my heart wants... it's always been you, Naomi. My heart always yearns for you."
"I feel the same way too. I was scared to get involved with you because I didn't want to get in the way between you and your betrothed. I'm just a poor girl trying to abstain from trouble."
"I want you, Naomi. I tried so hard to control it, but it won't stop." He leaned in, his forehead resting against hers, their hearts beating as one. "I love you," he whispered.
Just then, the fireworks erupted into the sky, illuminating the night with vibrant colors and patterns, making the moment of confession unforgettable for both of them.
"Alex..."her voice trembled as she whispered,
"I've always loved you since the very first day I set my eyes on you," he said, his gaze piercing hers. His eyes burned with intensity as he pulled back slightly, cupping her face in his hand.
"Alex..." she sniffed, feeling his hand on her cheek.
"Do you love me too?" he asked.
"I do... I love you, I..." Her voice trailed off as she felt his lips silencing hers.
The kiss was electrifying, sending shivers down her spine. Alex's lips were warm, gentle, yet demanding. He grabbed her waist, pulling her closer as he deepened the kiss. Naomi's response was instinctive, her hands holding firmly to his shirt as she melted into the kiss.
The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them, lost in the intensity of their emotions. The fireworks exploded in the sky, casting a kaleidoscope of colors over the bridge, but their eyes were closed, their focus solely on the kiss, their hearts pounding in unison.
As they kissed, the world seemed to stand still, time freezing in a moment of pure passion. Naomi felt like she was home, like she was exactly where she was meant to be. Alex's lips were like a flame, igniting a fire that had been simmering beneath the surface for so long.
The kiss was a perfect symphony of emotions, a harmonious blend of love, desire, and passion. It was a kiss that spoke volumes, a kiss that said everything without needing words. And as they finally broke apart for air, their lips lingered, reluctant to let go of the moment.
