Alex drove Naomi home, where she was already fast asleep. He smiled lovingly at her and gently caressed her face, making her stir awake.

"We're home already?" she asked, her voice sleepy.

"Yeah," he nodded. "let me walk you inside."

He came out of the car and moved to the other side to help her out. They stood facing each other in the quiet night, the only sound being the distant hum of crickets.

"I had fun today, thank you," Naomi said, her eyes shining with gratitude.

"I had fun too. I'll see you tomorrow. Have a good night's rest."Alex caressed her face and kissed her lightly on the lips.

"You too," she replied, and they shared a warm hug before pulling away.

She watched as him got into his car and drove off, a smile still on her face. She went inside, locking the door behind her.

As she entered her room, she saw Mia sitting on the bed, hugging a pillow with a sad look on her face.

"Mia," Naomi rushed to her,  "What's wrong?"

"I'm such a fool," she said, feeling guilty.

 "What happened?" she asked softly.

Mia began to recount her evening with Nathan. They went to the amusement park, where they had a wonderful time. The park was warm and cozy, filled with lights and laughter. They  joined in the fun, and after having an amazing time, they  found a shaded spot to sit down.

"It was fun," Nathan said, smiling.

"You seem like you've never had any childhood fun," Mia teased.

"No, my childhood wasn't fun at all."

"Why not?"

"That will be a story for another day."

They sat in comfortable silence for a long while, the only sound being the distant laughter and chatter of people around them.

"Thank you," Mia said, breaking the silence.

"For what?" He asked, his eyes refocusing on her.

"For tonight," she replied, her cheeks flushing. "I haven't had this much fun in a while."

 "Well, I'm glad," he said.

They chuckled together, and Nathan took her hand, his touch sending a spark of electricity through her body. "I want it to continue like this with you," he said, his eyes locked onto hers.

"Don't you think that won't happen when you're engaged to someone else?" she asked, trying to sound casual despite the turmoil in her mind.

"I'm not fully engaged to her," he said. "It's fake."

 "Fake?" she repeated. Surprisedly.

Nathan nodded and began to explain how the arrangement had come about, his words painting a picture of a complicated situation that left Mia's mind racing with questions and emotions.

"So, everything was just an arrangement, after six months it will be over," Nathan said, his words leaving Mia surprised.

"I actually thought you were engaged to her," she said, avoiding his piercing gaze. "You two make a lovely couple."

"I don't think so. We're not compatible," he said, turning her face to his. "You're my perfect match. It's you my heart yearns for."

Mia's heart skipped a beat as their eyes locked. Nathan's words sent shivers down her spine.

"I want you to be mine, Mia," he said, "Give me a chance, and I will never hurt you." He caressed her face, his touch sending waves of emotion through her body. "Will you be my perfect match?"

Mia's eyes widened in surprise, and she was dumbfounded. She couldn't say anything as Nathan waited for her response. Just as she was about to speak, she remembered her conversation with his mother, and it struck her deeply. She quickly pushed away from him and stood up.

"I'm sorry, I can't," she said, her face bowed to the ground. "I don't think I can do it."

"Why not? All I need is a chance."

"I'm sorry, Nat. I... I don't feel the same way."

Nathan was taken aback by her words, and his face reflected his disappointment.

"I'm not the perfect match you picture me to be," she said, sadly. "I'm sorry."

With that, she turned and ran off quickly, leaving Nathan heartbroken. He fell back into his chair, his face bowed to the ground, feeling a deep sense of sadness and rejection.

Back in reality, Naomi sighed tiredly after hearing Mia's story.

"Did I do the right thing?" Mia asked, feeling guilty.

"I won't judge you based on that. You rejected him because you're scared of his mother, but sometimes we just have to face our fears once and for all. I know he really loves you."

"Should I let out my true feelings for him?"

"Yes, you've seen it's not one-sided love. He loves you too. Now that you know he's in a fake engagement with Diva, you don't have too much of a problem with that, unlike me."

 "What do you mean?"

"Alex and I are official now. We confessed to each other, and we're giving each other a chance."

 "Really?"

"Yes, I know there are big challenges ahead, but I just have to fight for what's rightfully mine. It's a risk to take. It's time to face my fears."

"That's good." Naomi pulled Mia into a warm hug. "Maybe it's time to fix mine with Nathan. I really want to be with him."

"That's a good decision," She said, holding Mia tightly. "We'll get through this."

Unbeknownst to them, Mr. Daniels had been listening from the doorway. He smiled, feeling happy for the young women, and quietly retreated to his room.

The next morning, Alex sat at the breakfast table with his family, beaming with a smile. His father, King Luke, noticed his radiant expression and shook his head in amusement.

"Alex," Elora called out, trying to get his attention, but Alex was lost in his own little world.

"Son," Queen Lala chimed in, making him jolt out of his daydreaming. "You seem happy. What's the mood for? Want to share?"

"I'm just happy," he said, his eyes sparkling.

"Is it about the investor in the company?" Diva asked.

"Or is it about our upcoming wedding that's fast approaching?"Elora chimed in.

Alex rolled his eyes good-naturedly. King Luke, however, seemed to understand his son's happiness.

"Let him be. He's happy because he's finally at peace with his heart," he said, his words causing the others to turn to him in confusion. Alex smiled knowingly at his father.

Good"What do you mean?" Queen Lala asked.

"Mom, let it be," Alex said, deflecting the question. He turned to Elora. "Invite your family to dinner tomorrow. I have an announcement to make." With that, he stood up. "I have to take my leave." He walked away, leaving his family to speculate about his happiness.

"I guess he's going to fix the date of our wedding," Elora said, feeling happy.

"I guess so. Alex can be full of surprises." Queen Lala said.

The women shared their excitement, while King Luke watched them with a knowing gaze, shaking his head in amusement.

Meanwhile, Mia stepped into the elevator, her heart racing with anticipation as she headed to Nathan's office to express her true feelings for him. As the elevator doors slid open, she rushed out, her eyes fixed on the secretary's desk.

"Um, good day," Mia said, trying to sound composed. "Please, I want to see the boss."

"He's not in right now." The secretary looked up from her work.

"Okay, when will he be back?"

 "I don't know. He's out for a business meeting, so I don't know when he'll be back."

"Oh, okay. Can I wait for him in his office?"

"I'm sorry, I don't think that would be appropriate."

"Okay, thank you."She forced a smile. She turned to leave, but her eyes widened in surprise as she saw Nathan emerging from the elevator. Their eyes met, and Mia's heart skipped a beat.

"Boss," the secretary called out, standing up.

"Um, I ....." She got interrupted.

"Let's talk in my office," he said, his voice low and husky. He took her hand, and they walked away, leaving the secretary staring after them in surprise.

They arrived at the office, and Nathan let go of her hand. Mia turned to him, feeling nervous.

"I...I..." she gulped, her words trailing off as she quickly leaned in and pecked his lips. Nathan was caught off guard, and Mia pushed back a little, looking away nervously.

"What was that?" he asked, smiling at her.

"It's..." Her words trailed off again as Nathan grabbed her waist, pulling her close to himself.

"Why do you want to see me so badly? Is it because you miss me already?" he teased, his eyes sparkling with amusement. Mia's face flushed with embarrassment.

"I came to repair the damages that I might have caused you," she said.

"What damages?" Nathan asked, his eyes locked onto hers.

"This," she said, placing her hand on his heart. "I'm sorry for rejecting you. I'm sorry for hiding how I truly feel about you." Their eyes interlocked. "Can I get another chance, or am I too late?" Mia asked, and  he smiled lovely at her, caressing her face.

"My heart is not fragile. No one can replace you in my heart. It's you it yearns for, and it will never stop beating faster for you."

"I love you, Nathan. I've always loved you since the day I bumped into you at the palace." She said feeling emotional.

"I've loved you long before we were destined to meet again. I love you, Mia."

They chuckled, resting their heads on each other as they pulled each other into a tight hug, their hearts filled with love and happiness.
