TAG: Love and betrayal.

Ji-soo and Ha-yoon strolled into the garden together, the weight of Ji-soo's shocking announcement still lingering. Ha-yoon's eyes searched.

"Ji-soo, are you certain about this?"

"Yes, Granny. It's what I need. The past few months have been a nightmare, and I need to get away, find some peace of mind."

"Where will you go? What about his child?"

"I have a someone outside the state, a close friend of my mom's. I've confided in her, and she's urged me to come. As for the child, Min-soo shouldn't worry. I'll carry the pregnancy to term, and he can take responsibility for the baby when the time comes."

"But Ji-soo, Min-soo will be devastated if you leave. And Ji-mi too. Can't you see he's trying to connect with you?"

"Granny, this is what I need. I'll return with the baby. I'm not running away from my responsibilities; I just need some time for myself."

Just as their conversation was getting deeper, Min-soo appeared.

"Granny, can you give us a minute?" Ha-yoon nodded understandingly and walked away, leaving Ji-soo and Min-soo alone.

"Listen, I am..." Ji-soo began, but Min-soo interrupted her.

"You don't have to; I totally understand your decision, and I will respect that. I just hope one day you will open your heart."

Their eyes locked in a poignant moment, as Ha-yoon and Ji-mi watched from a corner, smiling.

"Granny, will Nanny accept marrying my Dad?" Ji-mi asked, her eyes shining with hope. Ha-yoon's response was tinged with longing.

"That's my wish, dear. I just hope she'll open her heart to him."

They continued to observe the tender moment unfolding before them.

A year later, life had returned to a sense of normalcy. Two months after Ji-soo's departure, her uncle and his family were released from prison, courtesy of Min-soo's leniency, which Ji-soo had requested. However, they vowed to sever all ties with Ji-soo and her family.

In contrast, the big pot-bellied man and his accomplices received a hefty sentence , 30 years in prison  for their crimes, which included money laundering and sexually assaulting young women by luring them with pills.

Meanwhile, Ji-soo found solace in a different state, under the care of her mother's friend. Min-soo remained a constant presence in her life, regularly calling to check on her and the baby. Ji-mi and Ha-yoon were overjoyed, eagerly counting down the days until Ji-soo's return.

The day finally arrived when Ji-soo was coming back to Min-soo with his son. Ha-yoon and Min-soo worked tirelessly to make sure everything was set to welcome them. Min-soo had ordered his driver to pick her up from the airport while preparations for her arrival continued.

Min-soo was overjoyed at the prospect of reuniting with his son after a year of longing. Ji-mi couldn't hide her excitement either, and Ha-yoon was beaming with happiness. A mouthwatering meal was prepared and lavishly spread on the dinner table with the help of some cooks Ha-yoon had hired.

Everything was set. Ha-yoon helped Ji-mi dress up in her perfect dress while Min-soo did the same in his room, looking handsome in his well-fitted tailored suit, looking dashing. After some moments, they came out of their rooms, waiting for her arrival. Min-soo's driver had already called to say they were close.

"Wow, Dad, you look handsome," Ji-mi compliment him.

"Really? Do you think she will like it?" he asked.

"Yes, I believe she will fall for you at first sight," she said, and they shared a laugh.

"Thank you, princess. I will hold on to that," he said.

Just then, they heard a car horn.

"They are here!" Ji-mi exclaimed, her voice trembling with excitement.

Together,  they rushed out to welcome ji-soo and their little bundle of joy.

As they all stepped out, they were met with amazement to see Ji-soo stepping out of the car holding a baby carry cot car seat where her baby slept peacefully. She was dressed gorgeously, her beauty radiating, and her long hair fell curly on her shoulders. They were too anxious to speak.

"Nanny!" Ji-mi screamed out her name as she ran towards her for a hug. Ji-soo let out a smile as she gently put the baby carrier on the ground and squatted down, opening her arms widely to receive the hug.

Their bodies collided as Ji-soo held Ji-mi tight, kissing and caressing her hair.

"I miss you so much," Ji-soo said.

"I miss you too," Ji-mi replied, sniffing. They pulled away from each other, smiling.

Then the rest came over to welcome them. Ha-yoon picked up the baby carrier, and they stared lovingly at the baby, who stirred in the cot.

"He's got his father's look," Ha-yoon said.

"He kept getting bigger and cute every day," Ji-mi added.

"Exactly, just like you. Now you have a little brother to play with," Min-soo said.

"Exactly!" Ji-soo said, smiling.

"Can I carry him?" Ji-mi asked, as she reached for the cot with all her strength and walked away. Ha-yoon followed guardedly behind her.

Min-soo and Ji-soo watched with joy, and he turned to her, stretching out his hand.

"Shall we?" he said.

She took his hand without hesitation, and they went inside to continue with the celebration.

The dining room was filled with laughter as they ate and celebrated. Little Min-jun lay beside his father in his cot, his tiny eyes open as he played. Min-soo couldn't help but feel joy as he gazed adoringly at his son.

After some minutes, Ha-yoon and Ji-mi were seated in the living room, playing with Baby Min-jun. Min-soo sat watching, a warm smile on his face. Meanwhile, Ji-soo had stepped outside to the veranda to answer a phone call.

"Yes, Aunt, everything is fine over here," she said into the phone, chatting with her mother's friend. "He's excited to be home, he's been laughing with everyone since we got here, and that makes me happy." She smiled and waited for her aunt's response.

"Okay, thank you so much for everything. We promise to come visit when we can. I can't thank you enough for your help," she said gratefully. "Alright, thanks. Talk to you later." She hung up and turned to leave, only to find Min-soo standing in front of her.

"Hey," he said softly.

"Er, hey. Sorry, I didn't know you were here," Ji-soo replied, slightly startled.

"I just came out not too long ago. Hope I didn't interrupt," Min-soo said.

"No, that was my aunt. She just asked if we were home already," Ji-soo explained.

"Oh, that's nice of her. How is she?"

 "Fine, she sent her regards,"

"Accepted," Min-soo said with a smile, and they shared a laugh. For a moment, they stood in comfortable silence.

"Thank you for bringing back our son home. It really means a lot to me," he added, his voice filled with emotion.

"You are welcome. I'm happy we're back home. Besides, he misses his home and..."

Min-soo's eyes locked onto hers as he leaned closer.

"And I miss you." Ji-soo's heart skipped a beat as she gulped nervously. "Did I still get a chance with you?" He asked.

 "I...."

Min-soo cut in again, his voice filled with emotion.

"I don't think I can keep holding on. I want you and our son to make a complete family. Please give me the chance to be with you."

"Stop asking for a chance when you already have it." She said softly and Min-soo's face lit up with hope.

"You have me already, and..." Her words trailed off as he cut in again.

"I love you," he whispered, his fingers caressing her face. Ji-soo's heart melted at his touch, and she smiled.

"I love you too," she replied. They laughed, trying to control their tears.

Min-soo's lips brushed against her forehead, then her cheek, and finally, he claimed her full lips in a tender kiss. She responded in kind, her heart overflowing with emotion.

Ha-yoon and Ji-mi, who had been watching the romantic moment, quickly covered Ji-mi's eyes, not wanting to witness the intimate kiss.

The romantic kiss finally came to an end, and Ha-yoon uncovered Ji-mi's eyes. She let out a squeal of excitement.

"Yeah! I'm having a mom!" Ji-mi exclaimed, her face beaming with joy.

The adults turned to her, and she rushed over to hug them tightly.

Min-soo scooped Ji-mi up in his arms, and they leaned in for a tender moment, kissing her cheek before pulling into a warm group hug. Ha-yoon joined in, cradling the baby in her arms as she moved closer to the group.

Min-soo used his other hand to gently hold his son, and they all smiled, gazing lovingly at each other. The joy and love outside the varenda were visible, filling the air with laughter and excitement.

In this moment, they were a happy family, reunited and full of love for each other. The warmth and happiness radiated from their little group, a beautiful sight to behold.
