Olivia's POV

Riccardo finally ended the call and put his phone back in his pocket. His usual signature irresistible smile spread across his face as he waved his hand at me, signaling for me to come to him. "Sunshine, come. Let me show you around."

I turned my head away from him for a second, realizing that I had been staring at him the whole time he was on the call. I swallowed hard, tucking my hair behind my ear and stood up from the sofa.

My legs wobbled slightly and my heart thumped against my chest. A shiver ran down my spine as his rough yet gentle fingers slipped between my small fingers. Compared to his, mine felt even smaller.

"What happened?" His concern and worry always caught me off guard. "Baby, look at me."

I blinked, staring down at our intertwined fingers and tilting my head, confused as to why I hadn't tried to pull away, and more importantly, why they fit perfectly together.

Wait.

Did he just call me 'baby'?

Riccardo pinched my jaw with his thumb and index finger, lifting my head so our gazes met. "Are you okay?"

I nodded, unable to find my voice. The accelerated beating of my heart intensified with the single brush of his fingers on my face.

"You wanted me to show you around?" My voice finally cooperated and came out normally. He nodded. "Let's go then."

I watched as his black, dark orbs dilated in mine, as if he was searching for something within them. His brows furrowed momentarily, but before I could ask him what was wrong, his gaze dropped to my legs. He lowered himself to my feet, causing me to subconsciously take a step back, unsure of his next action.

"I'm not going to bite you," he said, looking up at me. It took just one second for a sinister smirk to appear on his lips. "Yet."

My mouth dropped open and my heart skipped a beat as I watched his fingers tie my boot laces. When he stood back up, he laced our fingers back together and I remained silent.

"How many bedrooms does the house have?" I asked.

"Twelve," he replied.

I nodded as I let my eyes roam every corner, taking in every single detail.

The vase, the painting, everything was just like I had always dreamt of. My dream home.

"How many hours drive is it to the nearest gym?" I asked.

"A five-minute walk. The gym is upstairs," he answered.

"Really?"

"Yeah."

After he showed me around the house, he mentioned that he had something to show me outside. Now, we were walking towards wherever he wanted to take me. I couldn't help but look around, observing and taking in the surroundings. The grass beneath my feet looked soft and green, the breeze gently brushed against my face, and the air smelled like nature.

As I continued to stare around, my gaze fell upon something that resembled a stable. With a few more steps, I was finally able to see it clearly - it was indeed a stable.

"You have a stable?!" I exclaimed, spinning around so fast that I almost lost my balance. But Riccardo, ever fast on his feet, caught me and steadied me to the ground. The overwhelming happiness and excitement washed over me, making me ignore the slight pàin in my ankle.

"We have a stable," he confirmed.

"I love horses!"

"I know," he said.

"That's creépy."

"Not really."

I gave him a look before practically running to the stable. Luckily, it was unlocked. I pushed open the door and went inside, finding two horses - one white and one brown. The latter immediately caught my eye, and I rushed over to it.

The horse neighed as I approached, but when I slowly stroked its face, it calmed down. It was the most majestic thing I had ever seen in my life.

"Hi. My name is Olivia. What's yours?" I whispered to the horse.

"She doesn't have a name yet," Riccardo answered.

I hummed softly, nodding my head as I tried to think of a name for her. "What do you think of Dahlia?"

"Dahlia is good," he replied.

"I wasn't asking you,"

"Ouch."

"What's your name?" I moved to the other horse and started stroking its face. It took about a minute for it to relax under my touch.

"His name is Storm," Riccardo announced, coming over to brush his palm over the horse's neck.

I turned to him, shocked and confused by the absurd choice of name as he continued brushing the horse's neck. "Why Storm?"

"I love storms," he simply replied.

"What? No one loves storms," I said. "They're destructivé and dangérous."

He just hummed and shrugged his shoulders, choosing not to respond to me.

"I hàte storms and rain."

"Why?" His question was demanding.

I shook my head stubbornly. "No reason. Do I have to have a reason?"

"No."

"Good."

I looked back at Storm and Dahlia, and then at Riccardo. "Why did you get them?"

"I already had Storm for a year now. I got Dahlia a week ago for you."

"Why?"

"Because you love them."

"I don't, especially if you're the one who got them."

"Why not?"

"Simple. I hàte you."

A frown stretched across his face and his brows arched in anger. "Don't say that again."

"Say what?" I teasingly shrugged my shoulders, a smirk tugging at the corner of my lips. "That I hàte you?"

"Olivia," his voice came out strained and repressed, like he was forcing himself to stay in control.

"Riccardo."

"One day, your pretty little mouth will learn to keep quiet."

"And if it doesn't?"

"It will. When it's wrapped around my côck and filled with my cum, then it will definitely be quiet."

And just like that, my confidence level dropped in a flash, goosebumps rising on my flesh. My heart may or may not have skipped a beat or two. My tongue seemed to have lost the ability to talk.

"See?" His thumb brushed harshly against my lips, and slowly they parted on their own. I watched as his eyes dropped to my lips and a mischievous smirk spread across his own. "Just like this."

                              ✷✷✷✷

I sat quietly in the car as Riccardo drove back to my house. The atmosphere between us had been tense ever since his words kept repeating in my head.

Why did he say something like that?

How could he say something like that?

A sigh escaped me as I rested my head backwards. I darted my tongue out to wet my lips and glanced at him. Riccardo had a smirk on his ridiculously good-looking face.

"You should see your face right now," he chuckled.

"Wow. I'm glad you're having fun."

"Fun is an understatement, sunshine."

I scoffed and rolled my eyes, flipping my hair behind me. "Congratulations."

After another few minutes of silence, he pulled the car to a halt. I looked outside to make sure he had really dropped me off at home, since I hadn't been paying attention, and he had.

"I won't be able to see you tomorrow, but I'll be picking you up at 7:00am on our wedding day."

I faced him and snapped, "Don't say that."

"Say what?" Riccardo cocked his head to the side, teasingly, with that annoying grin on his face. "Our wedding day?"

Oh, I know what he's doing.

He's playing my game.

"I hàte you."

Immediately, the obnoxious grin was wiped off his face and replaced with a frown. "What did I tell you about that?"

"About what?"

"Olivia, do not do that."

"Or else what?"

"Stop it, Olivia." My name coming from his mouth sounded so strange, so foreign to my ears.

With just one glance at him, I saw the seriousness in his black orbs and recoiled in my seat. I let out a single breath before getting out of the car.

Is he always this... imposing?

                             ✯✯✯✯

The Uber stopped right in front of my aunt, Delaney's house. I paid the driver and got out, using it as an excuse to waste time. After a couple of minutes of lingering outside, I walked up the pathway to the front door and pressed my finger against the doorbell.

A few seconds passed before the door opened, revealing my aunt. She beamed a welcoming smile at me, pulling me into her arms.

"So, tell me. Is what I'm hearing and seeing true?" DeeDee inquired, leading me to the living room.

"It depends," I pretended like I didn't know where the conversation was heading. "What are you hearing and seeing?"

She gave me a scolding look, lowering herself onto the sofa and dragging me along with her. "C'mon, Lili. What's happening in your life?"

"You should already know. I'm famous now. My name is trending on every single social media platform."

"You're not wrong," she said. "Tell me. What's going on?"

"I'm getting married!" I exclaimed cheerily, and she just raised an eyebrow, looking confused and annoyed.

"And I'm getting màd," she said in the exact same tone I used.

I pulled my knees up to my chin, hugging them loosely, and tilted my head towards her. "D, I really love Riccardo and I want to marry him."

"I love Henry Cavill, but do you see me marrying him?"

As hard as I tried to hold it in, a giggle escaped from my mouth. "Aunt DeeDee, I'm serious."

"Do I look like I'm joking?"

Actually, she did.

"Why the héck do you think you can keep this from me? How long has this been going on? How is Riccardo treating you? Where did you meet him? When did you two start dating? How long have you been dating? Are you pregnant?"

"What?! No. No, I'm not pregnant. Jeez, why would you think that?"

"Yeah, it's not like you're giving me any reason to think that," she muttered under her breath, her sarcasm louder than her actual voice.

"I know I should have told you, but I-I just, I don't know, I just thought it would be better if we kept the relationship to ourselves in case it didn't work out according to plan, and luckily, it did."

Her facial expression faltered, her eyes glassing. "Y-you didn't even want to tell me?"

"D, it's not like that. I swear, I wanted to tell you, but..."

"It's fine," DeeDee cut me off. "It's not like I'm your mom that you tell everything to."

My mouth quivered, tears pricking my eyes and my grip on my legs loosening. "I-- w-what...I am sorry. You know it's not like that."

She scoffed, the anger very evident in every move she made. "Really? You have been dating this guy for God knows how long and thought, 'hey, it is way better not to tell the person who loves me so much,' right?"

I stood up suddenly and stumbled a bit. "Aunt, I'm sorry. I was just scared that the relationship wouldn't work and I would be heartbroken."

"Even so! If it didn't work out or if he broke up with you, I would have gone there and given him a piece of my mind." DeeDee said, her palms resting on either side of my face. "I love you, Lia. I really, really love you and want to be involved in every aspect of your life. I know I'm not your mom and I'll never be her, but I do love you very much and that won't change for anything."

"I know that and I'm..."

"Don't be sorry, darling. It's alright. I was just a little hurt. I might have overreacted." She brushed her fingers over my hair and offered me a little smile. "Sorry, Lili."

I opened my mouth to say something but she shook her head, refusing any word from me and pulled me into another hug - a comforting one this time.

"Why don't you stay over tonight and tomorrow we'll talk about this very well, huh?"

I nod my head once, swallowing my saliva before murmuring. "Sure."

"How about I prepare the spiciest ramen noodles for dinner, would that make you smile?"

"I'll try. Where's Devin?"

"Work."

"Helena?"

"School. Go freshen up."

                             ☆☆☆☆

It was exactly 11:53pm and I was in my room, staring blankly into the starless night.

Sleep was far from my eyes and yet I was exhausted, completely worn out. My head felt heavy, an headache setting in.

I swept my hair into a loose bun and laid down on the bed, yawning tiredly. From the corner of my eye, I could see my phone light up the dark room and I closed my eyes, turning to the opposite side.

A sigh and groan mixed in one left my mouth as I turned back to check whatever it was. A message notification was on the screen, and when I tapped it, it showed me Riccardo's name.

PSYÇH RUNAWAY: Goodnight, sunshine.

I exhaled deeply, staring at the message and reading it over and over again in my head. I had no idea what came over me, but I found myself replying, 'goodnight, cràzy.'

My fingers worked fast on the screen to delete it, but it was too late. He saw it.

Riccardo saw my message.

PSYÇH RUNAWAY: Woah, I totally wasn't expecting you to reply. I'll sleep well tonight.

Argh!

Ugh!

Jeez!

I will never hear the end of this.
