Scarlett bites her lips angrily holding the urge to slap that mouth of his , since when did she become his coffee girl...
She bows and leaves ignoring indigo's shocked gaze on her .
" Sir are you angry with me , if yes I'm sorry " indigo said not understanding why he threw her coffee away and demanded another one from a different person
His cold eyes landed on hers and she shifted back in fear , his gaze was digging deep into her skin .
" Sorry sir " she mutters and hurries out
In the coffee room , Scarlett selected his favorite coffee from the dispenser.... Back then he always cling to her whenever she is making coffee for herself, not being able to ignore the cute face she also makes for him just the way he like it
" Has his taste in coffee changed or he still enjoys the one I make " she mutters twirling the coffee spoon lost in thought
Indigo storms in fuming " er excuses me , did you tell the CEO any bad thing about me "
" I hardly know you so it's silly spoiling your name in his front " Scarlett replied
She scoffs " I'm indigo brooks, secretary to the most successful CEO in the world so you can't take my position "
Scarlett looks at her amused " I've no intention of taking your position miss , being close to the CEO is the last thing I want buy unfortunately I don't have a choice "
She smiles wearily and walks out leaving indigo fuming.
Back at the office Scarlett keeps the coffee on his table and watches him hoping the aroma will bring the sweet memories they shared together but he totally ignores her , typing on his laptop with concentration .
She sighs sadly and goes back to her seat °what was I thinking, all the memories we shared are now void to him°
" Okay start your work and stop sulking Scarlett" she mutters inwardly and starts filling the insights report file .
Rylan enters but pauses midway, the tension between these two people can choke someone to death .
° Things won't be the same anymore ° he thought giving Scarlett a simple nod and walks to Liam
" Hey workaholic, the Amazon business summit is by 2:00 pm remember you accepted their invitation"
Liam sighs leaning back on his chair " great , another stupid summit "
" That you agreed to attend"
" Shut up " Liam said glaring at him
He grins " I'll inform indigo to get ready "
Normally on every business summit the PA and secretary always accompany the CEO
" No" Liam said deadpanned
" She will come with us instead " he adds shifting his gaze to Scarlett
Liam stands up heading to the door " miss blackwood you will accompany me to the business summit, Rylan will tell you everything you need to know about it and we will leave 2:00pm on the dot "
Rylan looks at him surprised, the is literally the first time this is happening and it's new to him
" Wow " he mutters watching his retreating figure
Rylan sighs and walks to her " okay miss blackwood there's nothing much in a business summit, just represent the company well and avoid getting into fights "
She nods listening to what he is saying.....
Few minutes later indigo walked go the CEO's office smiling, of course she knows about the business summit and she is always the one representing the company.
She adjusts her skirt and was about to knock when the door opens the Rylan followed by Liam and Scarlett steps out .
" Sir I'm ready for the summit should I give you updates about the event" she said not noticing Scarlett near him
Liam looks at Rylan bored telling him silently to handle it and walks away , Scarlett follows him from behind.
" Err miss brooks , you're presence is no longer needed in this summit , miss blackwood is already representing us " he said
Indigo looks at him shock , is today a bad day for her or what ... Nothing is going the way she planned it
" Pls what's going on ,this is my duty "
Rylan sighs " I've relayed his message to you so pls don't make things difficult for us "
He walks out on her
" Argh " she screams biting in her nails angrily, this newbie is making things different for her and it must not continue like this , her dislike for Scarlett increasing each moment...
NIGHTINGALE COMPANY
They are preparing well for the summit as of their life depends on it .
The summit is once in a year and famous, rich business men come together to share knowledge and collaborate with one another. Only top companies get invited and this time around their company was invited.
" Sir impossible guests have started arriving, so the summit will start now " Cedric said going through his tablet
His secretary 'Gisel ' packed the files on the table hurriedly
This summit is an important event for them , they will have 100% chance of signing a deal with top billonares .
At R.E company a red Porsche car stops I'm front of the company, Camilla steps out looking exotic and hot in her white jumpsuit and heeled boots , her aura was screaming boss lady .
She catwalks inside like she owned the place and yeah she do owns this place.... Employees stops what they were doing and bows greeting in unison
" Welcome young miss"
Camilla nods smiling and heads to the VIP elevator but indigo stops her.
" Hello young miss , I'm indigo brooks the secretary"
She looks at her adjusting her sun glasses " oh right my fiancee is around right "
Indigo bites her lips trying to hold a smile , she can use this opportunity and kill two birds with one stone .
" Errr ma'am I don't know where he went to with miss blackwood" she said looking down

Camilla looks at her surprised, she folds her fist angrily... "You are reading from www.mhiztaemy.com.ng" These two are already coming close to each other , it won't be a surprise if he falls for her again and she must stop that from happening.

TECHNOLOGY SUMMIT
Repoters surrounded Liam and the rest as they stepped inside, asking one question to another, the hall was filled with top business men and women....
Liam and Rylan was ushered into the VIP seat while Scarlett was lead to the representative seat .
Few minutes later , the host started welcoming guests when Caspian walks in surrounded by bodyguards and reporters gaining attention from everyone.
Caspian smirks enjoying the feeling of having all eyes on him , he gaze shifts to Liam who was pressing his phone and he scoffs.
" Pretender , I know he's wishing to be in my spot "
He was lead to his own VIP seat that was few meters away from Liam's own
° this is my time to shine, and there's nothing you can do about it °
Scarlett was pale and folding her skirt nervously, since the moment she sat here , her mind hasn't been at rest especially when Caspian came in.
" I hope he does not remember me " she thought covering her face
One hour later the host called Caspian out to give a speech on e - commerce which was the project he was working on.
He comes out and climbs the podium , all cameras was focused on him as he gave his speech, his English was very clean and fluent .
Within 20 seconds he was done and of course everyone expect Liam applauded him .
Caspian heads back to his seat smiling, he has certainly put his company into the spot light .
The host gave the guests vote of thanks and requested Liam to give the closing speech about AI.
Liam rolls his eyes already expecting something like this to happen so he is never caught off guard
He walks to the podium majestically looking hot in every camera angle ...

" And now I'll like my representative to end this speech for me " he said stepping aside
The crowd murmurs confused
Scarlett heart stopped beating at that moment, she felt sick as the spotlight landed on her ... Liam won't stop at anything to get his revenge.
She drags herself up trying to ignore the numerous eyes on her and focus on her trembling legs ...
Caspian looks at her in shock as she climbs the podium , why does everything he wants always with that bastard...
He reads the info about her on his tablet, Cedric sent it go him since but he was very busy " why does she have to work in his company uh "
Scarlett smiles wearily and almost snatches the mic from smirking Liam .
°i hate you ° she thought..
He smirks enjoying the show ... Waiting for her to break down in tears or collapses
She takes a deep breath and let her instincts lead

The audience clap liking the way she rounded everything up
She smirks at Liam who was looking surprised, he had not expected her to handle this .
Caspian stands up from his seat and walks towards them , they were surrounded by people the moment they came down from the podium.
He smiles and drags her close to him " you surprised me plane girl "
Scarlett eye widens in surprise and she tries to step back but he tightens his grip on her hand
" Hey come on I won't bite , remember you owe me one " he said leading her away from the crowd surrounding Liam
Liam's sharp gaze sees them especially Caspian's hand on hers , something in him roared angrily
With two steps he catches up with them and drags Scarlett back to him, dangerously close to his body
Scarlett almost died of heart attack, she had never been so shocked in her life ... Her heart thumped loudly in her chest as she was in Liam's protective or should I say possessive arms
" Get your filthy hands away from my property" he adds almost growling
