✮{...ENEMIES ON A MISSION...}✮
"Prepare the chains. I’ll deal with my wife myself"
___
Aurora walked into the mansion, not sparing a glance at the man sitting quietly in the center of the living room as she made for the stairs.
Matteo.
He sat there cross-legged on the couch, dressed in black, a glass of untouched whiskey resting on his knee. His eyes followed her like a predator in wait. He didn’t speak not at first.
Aurora placed her foot on the first step of the staircase.
His voice broke the silence like a blade.
"Where were you?"
She stopped mid-step.
Her back straightened, her fingers curling at her side as she turned slowly, meeting his unreadable gaze.
"Enzo’s place," she replied flatly, chin high. "And I don't care if you got a problem with that"
He just stared at her with a gaze cold enough to curdle blood, his fingers tightening ever so slightly around the glass.
And still Aurora held his gaze.
Matteo chuckled lowly, the sound dark and dripping with mockery as he rose from the couch.
"You got nerves now?" he asked, voice smooth and lethal. He began walking slowly toward her, glass still in hand. "Don’t be surprised if you see his dead body very soon"
That stopped her heart for a second and then set it ablaze.
Aurora’s face twisted in fury as she stepped down from the stair, standing her ground.
"Don’t you dare, Matteo. Don’t you fucking dare," she snapped, her voice shaking with rage. "You have no right! He’s my friend. He helped me when no one else did. You don’t get to come into my life and dictate who I can and can’t see!"
He kept walking, looking calm and unbothered.
A slow predator closing in on prey.
And when he reached her, barely inches apart, he tilted his head, his expression unreadable but his eyes burning with something far more dangerous than anger.
"Well..." he said softly, eyes roaming over her body with deliberate hunger. "Let’s ditch that discussion for now"
He leaned closer, his breath warm against her cheek.
"You’re looking like sin tonight"
Before she could retort or move away, Matteo's hand slid down with shameless confidence grabbing her as$ and yanking her flush against him.
She gasped, hands instantly rising to push at his chest.
"Matteo, don't—"
But her protest died in her throat the second his lips crashed on hers.
Fierce and possessive.
Her fists pressed against his chest in resistance, but her voice was muffled into the rough heat of his mouth. His grip was firm, unyielding, as if punishing her for every word she'd said earlier.
As if claiming back dominance with every second his lips devoured hers.
And for a second, just a second, Aurora’s body betrayed her.
Because damn it, he still tasted like obsession.
Matteo gripped her jaw, tilting her head just the way he wanted, devouring her lips like he owned every inch of her. Aurora’s breath hitched, her body caught in the whirlwind of desire and fury. She didn’t respond but she didn’t fight him either.
He slid one hand beneath her thighs and, without warning, lifted her and cradling her in his arms like a bride. Aurora tensed but said nothing.
His steps were steady as he walked up the grand staircase, their shadows long against the walls.
He pushed open the bedroom door with his foot and stepped inside.
The door shut with a loud, echoing thud behind them.
Aurora was still silent, her gaze locked on his, her breathing shallow.
And Matteo… he smirked darkly.
"Now we talk, wife"
He didn't bother turning on more lights, the dim glow from the hall lamps bleeding through the high windows was enough.
He walked straight to the center of the room, then, with a controlled movement, lowered Aurora on the bed. She landed softly on the silk comforter, her bare legs swinging briefly before she tucked them under her.
She pushed herself back slightly, putting a sliver of distance between them, her gaze still locked on his.
Matteo remained standing, towering over her. He slowly unbuttoned the cuffs of his shirt, his eyes never leaving hers.
He pulled his shirt free from his trousers, the dark fabric rustling.
He moved fully to the bed, crawling towards her. Aurora instinctively scrambled back, until her shoulders hit the headboard. Matteo stopped just inches from her.
Her clothes that was a barrier, were torn away with a single, ruthless rip, the sound a sharp tear in the quiet room. Cold air touched her skin for a fleeting moment before his body was against hers again, pressing her deep into the mattress.
Aurora gasped, her eyes wide, but the protest died on her lips as he thrust into her.
Her breath caught in her throat.
This time, it wasn't the pain that made her tremble, it was the overwhelming wave of heat crashing through her.
Aurora arched beneath him, her fingers digging into the sheets as her head tipped back against the headboard, a breathy moan slipping past her lips before she could stop it.
Matteo's eyes darkened.
He heard it.
He felt her legs wrap around him on instinct, her hips lifting to meet him halfway. He smirked, low and wicked, thrusting again, slower this time... deeper.
Her body reacted before her mind could process it.
A choked cry spilled from her lips.
"F-F+k..."
The sound of her own voice, raw and wrecked, made her snap her eyes open but his gaze was already there, drinking her in.
She looked beautiful... flushed, lips parted, chest rising and falling in uneven gasps.
Matteo gripped her hips harder, driving into her again, and Aurora whimpered soft, needy sounds she couldn’t hold back anymore. Her hands fisted in the sheets, then rose to claw at his shoulders.
She didn’t care if she left marks.
He wanted them there.
Her moans filled the room now, one after the other, rising in pitch, matching his pace. Her legs trembled around his waist, her back arching off the mattress as he slammed into her again, harder.
"Matteo," she breathed this time not in anger, but in something dangerously close to pleasure-laced surrender.
He leaned down, his mouth brushing her ear.
"That’s it," he murmured, voice gravelly. "Let them hear who you belong to"
She moaned again, louder this time and Matteo kissed it straight from her mouth, swallowing her cries as he drove her over the edge.
Aurora didn’t try to resist anymore.
Her nails sank into his back as her body bucked and shattered beneath him.
Matteo suddenly moved away from her, left the room without saying anything.
He left her lying there, breathless and silent in the dark.

TWO DAYS LATER, MISSION NIGHT*
The suite was split in two, literally.
A black line of duct tape ran down the center of the marble floor.
Vixen’s side sparkled with scattered diamonds, perfume bottles, and a red gown laid out like a weapon.
Viper’s side? Sterile. Dark leathers, matte lipstick, and knives hidden in plain sight.
Neither spoke.
They hadn’t since morning.
Vixen sat before the vanity, curling her lashes with lazy precision, red lips already perfected. Her thigh strap gleamed beneath the slit of her silk dress.
Viper stood by the window, loading her bracelet with micro poison darts, her expression blank.
"You’re in my mirror" Viper said, not looking.
"You’re breathing my air" Vixen replied.
The tension crackled like static.
Then the door slammed open.
"God, you two are still doing the evil twin routine?" Blade strolled in, chewing gum and twirling his butterfly knife. "It’s like watching a cat and a cobra share a litterbox"
Viper turned, deadly calm. "Leave"
Blade grinned. "You wound me. I brought gifts"
He tossed a slim velvet box on the bed.
Vixen raised a brow before opening it.
Inside, a diamond choker… lined with a hidden wire blade.
"Boss’ orders. In case things get tight"
Vixen smirked. "Pretty"
Blade winked. "Just like you"
Viper snatched the second item he tossed toward her which contact lenses, tinted ice-blue.
"Vecchio likes blondes with cold eyes," Blade explained, stepping back. "Play the fantasy. Kill the man"
Then he mock-saluted and strolled out.
"Acting like the boss he's not" Viper murmured.
The silence returned.
Vixen stood, smoothing her dress. "Try not to get blood on me"
Viper checked her hidden heel knife. "Stay out of my way"
Both turned toward the door at the same time.
Same stride, same steel.
Sworn enemies, perfect partners.
The hunt had begun.

✧VILLA ROSETTA, SICILY✧
Silhouetted beneath the towering marble arches of Villa Rosetta, luxury dripped from every corner, crystal chandeliers, men in tuxedos, women in backless gowns, laughter veiling dangerous alliances.
Vixen stepped out of the vintage Rolls, the slit in her emerald silk dress slicing up her thigh like sin. A smile ghosted her glossed lips as she adjusted her diamond bracelet, a camera hidden in its gem.
Behind her, Viper emerged in all black leather corset, knee-high stilettos, her walk lethal. If Vixen was temptation, Viper was the storm after.
They didn't speak to each other.
Inside, waiters served wine, but the eyes watching weren’t just thirsty, they were hunting.
Giovanni Vecchio stood near the bar with champagne glass in hand, expensive and smug.
Vixen smiled.
Showtime.
She moved first, weaving through the crowd, her eyes trained on her target.
"Giovanni Vecchio?" she purred.
He turned, surprised but intrigued. "And you are?"
'Someone worth your time" Her fingers brushed his sleeve.
Vixen leaned closer to Giovanni, laughing at something unfunny, her earpiece barely visible.
Viper stood in the shadows of the upper ballroom corridor, watching.
Watching her.
Viper’s jaw tightened.
She was supposed to be in control. She was supposed to lead this mission. And yet again… Vixen was center stage.
The little bi+ch.
She turned sharply down a hallway, away from the ballroom and the fake glittering peace. Her earpiece crackled.
You are reading from www.mhiztaemy.com.ng
VIXEN: Keep watch, darling. I’ve got him talking now…
Viper didn’t reply.
Her boots clicked quietly as she stalked toward the east wing, the one reserved for high-tier guests and guarded doors.
She wasn’t going to let Vixen have all the glory.
She was going to prove she didn’t need a silk dress and a fake giggle to break a man.
Viper picked the lock easily.
She slipped past a security checkpoint and into Vecchio’s private lounge, all mahogany walls and golden framed screens. She pulled a slim drive from her thigh strap and inserted it into the main server.
The download began.
3%, 4%...
Then a click behind her and she froze.
It was a guard.
"You’re not supposed to be here" he said in thick-accented English.
Viper turned slowly, eyes narrowing. "Then don’t watch"
She made to launch on him but he was faster or maybe she was too angry to notice his taser until it slammed into her ribs. Her body jerked violently and the world tilted.
Back at the ballroom.
Vixen tilted her head as Giovanni’s phone buzzed.
He glanced at the screen and frowned. "Excuse me, mia cara. Business"
She gave him her best sultry smile. "Don’t take too long"
He disappeared into the crowd, leaving her alone.
Vixen tapped her earpiece.
"Viper? Viper, respond"
Silence.
Faint static.
She tried again. Nothing.
"Something is wrong" Her smile faded.
She slid quietly through the guests, tracking Giovanni at a distance. Through ornate doors. Past curtains. Down a long hallway guarded by a single man who, curiously, nodded and let Vecchio pass.
She waited until the guard turned his head, then followed silently, hugging the wall.
The path ended at a side chamber and what she saw made her heart slam.
Viper lay crumpled on the ground. Unmoving. A bruise already forming on her cheek. Her leather suit torn slightly at the shoulder.
Above her stood the same guard who caught her, flipping Viper’s weapon in his hand like a trophy.
Giovanni chuckled as he stepped further into the room, oblivious to the silent threat creeping behind him.
"Amateurs" he muttered.
That’s when Vixen appeared behind him like a ghost in heels.
Vixen’s footsteps were silent.
"Amateurs?" she said.
Giovanni turned but too late.
She slammed her heel into the back of his knee.
He buckled with a grunt, hitting the floor.
The guard spun, lunging at her.
Vixen ducked, grabbed a crystal decanter from the nearby table, and shattered it against his temple. Blood splattered like red ink across her silk.
The guard fell, twitching.
Her eyes darted to Viper still on the floor, breathing but dazed.
"Get up" Vixen snapped, rushing to the server.
The download bar blinked: 89%
She yanked out the drive and slipped it into her bodice just as Viper groaned.
"Move, damn you"
Viper sat up slowly, rage flaring behind her dazed expression. "I had it handled"
"Yeah? Looked like a nap to me"
The taunt landed.
Viper rose to her feet, blood dripping from a cut on her lip, eyes burning like frostfire. "You ruined the timing. The fallback route was—"
"Compromised" Vixen tossed a glance at the now unconscious guard. "You're welcome"
Suddenly — BOOM!
An explosion rocked the far side of the villa.
Alarms screamed.
Red lights bathed the hallway.
"We've got three minutes before this place is crawling with armed men" Vixen said and then she glared at Vixen. "This is your fault"
"Save the marriage counseling for later," Viper hissed. "We’re not dead yet"
They both turned, Giovanni was gone.
Just blood, and an empty floor.
"F+k" they said in unison.
For a moment, they stared at each other.
Then they ran.
Through fire-lit hallways, smoke coiling like curses around them, bullets beginning to echo from the west wing.
The explosion rattled the very bones of Villa Rosetta.
Alarms screamed to life.
Chaos erupted, guests running, guards shouting, fire eating at the silk-draped corridors like it was hungry for vengeance.
Vixen sprinted down the hall, her heels long discarded, the stolen drive burning against her chest. Viper was at her side.
They didn't look at each other.
They were trained for chaos.
They lived for it.
Gunfire cracked behind them, too close. One bullet shattered a crystal vase above their heads, raining glass as they dove for cover behind a marble pillar.
"Exit’s ahead!" Vixen yelled, blood trickling down her arm from a scrape.
Viper grunted, scanning the corner. "Five guards. Maybe six"
"Distraction?"
Viper’s eyes glittered. "Obviously"
She stepped out, raised both hands like a ghost rising from smoke... one shot, two shots, three.
Three bodies dropped.
Vixen moved in, her dress soaked with sweat and smoke, aiming for the backdoor—
CRACK.
A shot tore through the air.
Vixen’s body jerked.
Her gasp was small but the blood blooming across her side was not.
She collapsed to one knee, hand flying to the wound.
Viper turned, stared.
The hallway was still swaying from heat and smoke.
Vixen met her eyes.
"Help me" she said, but Viper didn’t move.
She just… looked, then took a step back.
"No," Viper said coldly, "This is where you slow me down"
Vixen’s eyes widened, fury and betrayal slicing through her faster than the bullet had.
"You bi+ch!"
Viper turned on her heel and ran without looking back.
Vixen’s trembling fingers curled around the blood-slick tiles, her breath ragged.
Behind her, the fire roared louder. Guards were coming. She could hear their boots fast approaching.
She lay there helplessly, losing blood. Viper had already escaped.
