Alex and Naomi cuddled each other on the bed in one of Alex's hidden houses at the beach, the sound of the waves gently crashing outside creating a soothing melody. Alex hugged her tight from behind, his warm breath whispering against her neck.
"I'm sorry," he said, his voice laced with sadness and regret. Naomi sighed deeply, her shoulders rising and falling with the motion.
"Was that the reason why you didn't want to see me? You kept hiding away from me," she asked, her voice tinged with a mix of concern and understanding. Alex's grip on her tightened, his fingers intertwining with hers.
"I just didn't know how to face you," he admitted.
Naomi turned to face him, their faces mere inches apart. Her eyes, filled with empathy and love, locked onto his.
"I'm so sorry," he whispered, her breath caressing her skin.
"Stop apologizing," she said, his voice filled with emotion. "I don't hate you for what happened. Everyone knows it's not your fault," Naomi reassured him, her smile gentle and reassuring.
As they smiled at each other, the tension between them began to dissipate.
"I love you, Naomi," Alex said, his voice filled with sincerity. "I love you so much, and the last thing I want to do is hurt you." Naomi's smile grew wider, her eyes shining with love.
"I love you more," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "You didn't hurt me. Everyone makes mistakes. I won't judge you for what happened because no one is perfect."Her words were like a balm to Alex's soul, soothing his guilt and regret. "I was once in a similar situation before, but you helped me out," she continued. "I can also do that for you, to help you forget what happened."
Alex sighed, his emotions swirling. Just as he was about to speak, Naomi shut him up with a soft kiss on the lips.
The world around them melted away as they lost themselves in the kiss. Alex's lips moved in perfect sync with Naomi's, As they pulled away, their eyes interlocked in a lovely gaze, the love and adoration shining between them like a beacon of hope.
"I will always be here if you need me".She said and they smiled at each other before hugging tightly.
Nathan drove Mia to his house for dinner, the atmosphere filled with excitement and anticipation. As they arrived, his father and siblings were happy to see Mia again, welcoming her warmly. However, Nathan's mother seemed distant.
As they sat down to eat, Nathan cleared his throat to get everyone's attention.
"Okay, everyone, I have an announcement to make," he said, breaking the moment.
Everyone turned to him, curious about what he had to say.
"What's it, son?" Mr. Adam asked
Nathan entwined his hand with Mia's, his smile radiant.
"Mia and I are engaged, and I'm making her my wife," he announced, his voice filled with joy.
The room fell silent for a moment, and then erupted into cheers and congratulations.
"Wow, bro, you did it!" Josh exclaimed,
"Congratulations!" Anna chimed in,
"I'm so happy for you, you made a great choice. Welcome to the family, Mia."
Mia blushed, her face glowing with happiness. However, Mrs. Adams didn't share the same enthusiasm. She excused herself rudely, leaving the dining table without a word. The others stared after her, surprised by her reaction, but they continued to celebrate the happy news.
After the mouthwatering meal, Nathan and Mia returned to the bedroom, the soft glow of the lamp casting a warm ambiance. Mia sat down on the bed, looking pale and concerned.
"It seems your Mom is not happy with the news," she said, "She is the only person in this family that still hates me." Her eyes dropped, and Nathan could sense the insecurity in her voice.
Nathan moved to sit next to her, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her close.
"You don't have to worry about that," he said reassuringly. "She will come around. Just give her time."
"I am scared of what she might do," she admitted.
Nathan's grip on her tightened, and he buried his face in her neck.
"She won't do anything," he said firmly, his breath warm against her skin. "I am always here to protect you from her. You're safe with me."
"I just wish she gives me a chance," she said. "I want her to see that I love you and that I'm good for you."
Nathan turned her to face him, cupping her face in his hand.
"Mia, let me worry about this," he said softly, his eyes locked on hers. " You don't have to worry about my Mom, we have Dad, Anna and Josh who support our relationship".
"I know".She said." But your mother's support is still necessary".
"Mia, let me worry about this ". He repeated,"I want to have this moment with you, please let's not let my Mom ruin it." He placed a soft kiss on her forehead, and she nodded. "Good," he smiled, pulling her into a warm hug.
As they hugged, Nathan began caressing her body, his hands tracing gentle patterns on her skin. He placed soft kisses on her neck, making her shiver.
"Nathan," she called quietly, trying to make him stop, but her voice was laced with desire, and Nathan knew she wasn't really trying to stop him.
Nathan's caresses intensified, his hands working on her shirt as his kisses trailed from her neck to her cheek. He claimed her lips softly, yet possessively, and Mia felt herself losing control. He swept her up in his arms, and she wrapped her legs around him as they made their way to the bed. He laid her down gently, and their romance deepened.
As the intensity grew, Nathan suddenly stopped and pulled away, a smile on his face.
"I think we should stop here," he said. Mia was taken aback.
"Why?" she asked,
"Because it's been a stressful day for you, and I don't want to add to it," he explained, his eyes locked on hers.
"I'm not stressed," she protested, "Besides, I'm not complaining." She spoke shyly, and Nathan's smile grew wider as he caressed her face.
"I think we should wait," he said gently. "Maybe not today." He got up from the bed, sat down, and began taking off his clothes. Mia sat up, covering herself with the blanket.
"Did I do something wrong?" she asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty. Nathan turned to her, seeing the mix of sadness and disappointment on her face.
"No, why would you think that?" he asked, and Mia sighed, her eyes dropping.
"It's just that since the first time we... we haven't done it again. Even when the mood seemed right, you always... " She trailed off, "It's okay," she said quickly, standing up to head to the bathroom. "Never mind." She shut the bathroom door behind him.
"Mia, wait—" he called out, but she was already gone. He sighed, feeling a pang of regret for not understanding her better.
Nathan's gaze was fixed on the bathroom door, waiting patiently for Mia to emerge. After what felt like an eternity, the door finally opened, and Mia stepped out, looking refreshed with her hair smelling of shampoo and her fragrance filling the room. Nathan stood up, but Mia subtly pulled away, moving towards the bed to grab her pillow.
"I'll sleep in Anna's room," she said, her voice firm, before turning to leave. Nathan quickly grasped her hand, his eyes pleading.
"Can we talk about this?" he asked, and Mia forced a smile, her eyes not meeting his.
"Good night, Nathan," she said, her tone dismissive, as she withdrew her hand from his grasp, and she left the room, leaving Nathan feeling frustrated.
He sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair, and sat down on the bed, wondering what he could have done differently.
