Lapping on every slope with his tongue, nipping at every heat with his teeth, stroking the heaviness with his tip, soothing with the coldness of his saliva. Ryker was insatiable the moment he began the suck.
It got crazier when she m+aned his name. The breeze carried it around, echoing it in his ears as if trying to remind him how gentle and tempting the name sounded on her tongue.
His hand on her back moved up slowly, fingers tracing the mark wound which healed immediately.
Her facial cuts disappeared, too. Her spotless beauty returned.
He pulled at her n+pples teasingly, still tasting the tang of the sweetness under the curves of his tongue.
He applied more gentility as he closed his palms on her br+àsts, rolling the n+pples between his cold fingers. His mouth moved to her neck, his sinful tongue licking her.
Her skin memorized the bold maps he's leaving behind on every pulse.
A shower of stars lined behind her closed lids, her fingers fiddling with his hair. The bandana fell off already.
She was hanging between the handlebars as his lips moved to her neck, not leaving any line unkissed till he arrived at her ears.
He licked her shells and pulled at the softness of the lobes.
His hold on her br+àsts turned a little more firm, thumbs flicking her puckered buds and tracing her dark big are0las.
"Ohh. . .I like that." She trembled under him, her hands nearly slipping from his biceps as her fingers had a hard time holding them. It filled them up completely.
"You do?" He muffled into her skin, kissing her eyes and rubbing his nose sensually on hers.
"Yes...very much..." She responded, shaking and unstable.
Her breaths were stolen again when his lips crashed back on hers.
"Hmm" she m+aned slowly, her hands going still on him as she focused on the kiss.
He snaked his hand down her tummy, into her jean p+nts.
It kept going down, beyond her p+nties, and her eyes opened. She broke the kiss.
Her doubtful eyes are so beautiful to behold, lips a pale shade of pink like her n1ps, and breaths very runny.
"You're soaked, again..." Ryker whispered, kissing her lips shortly after saying that.
His fingers stayed unmoved on her cl1t, and she stayed still too, for him.
"Even before we left the tower, it has been like this." she replied in a smaller whisper, and he smiled at the attractive boldness.
She inched up a little, kissing his two deep dimples.
"I love them" she said, eyes never shaking away from his own.
His longest finger entered her...slow, too slow and never stopping till it settled deep.
He saw the crease and breach on her face throughout. He studied them like a project, and he made sure she felt comfortable and soft.
"Still feel good?" He asked..
She nodded, and he frowned.
"Yes...yes. I still feel good." She quickly corrected herself, voice so expectant and slightly trembly.
"Are you scared?" He asked, kissing her n+pples softly.
"No. I'm just...it's a first time thingy." She replied, backing that up with a plain smile.
There's no single light in the corner they're in. It's all darkness, and the power bike felt like something was holding it cos it didn't shake at all.
The breeze accompanied them, their heavy breathing stayed consistent, their bodies exchanging heat and iciness, a give and take which dominated their opposite minds.
Ryker's finger moved finally, f(ckin her slowly, in and out without hitching, claiming her all the way and leaving his soul signature there, painting the mark that anyone else who touches her this way will die.
"More. . . please. More. . .ahh!!" Shayla's m+ans lifted into the night when another finger entered, filling her up, occupying her.
She held on to his back, her eyes smiling at him as pleasure robbed her of her breaths again.
She was breathing with her mouth as she received the finger thrusts, her walls clenching around his digits and hips buckling for him.
Her earring fell, and her hair tangled with the handlebars. Her hard n+pples pointed to the sky. Sweat went from her face to her neck, hitting the bike.
Her mouth stayed open, her eyes boring into his own that's hovering above her, and she couldn't even blink as his dark aura undid her, his fingers plowing her fast.
Her knees went stiff, neck dropping low on the bike as her eyes shed warm pleasure tears.
"It's. . .mmm. . I'm going to. ."
"Do it. Don't hold back. C+m, Firefly." He gave her the s+xiest deep whisper ever, and that was her last push.
She broke on his fingers, wetting them with hot sin.
Her chest felt constricted as it's beating too fast, too much.
Her stomach clenched on nothing, following as his fingers came out of her, slick with her juices.
He made sure she was staring at him as he brought them to his lips, licking them off with his tongue.
The hammering in her chest turned more insane as she watched that display, red hue heated her cheeks.
Ryker adjusted her p+nty and shifted her jean trousers back up.
Next, he put her br@ cups in place, strapping it with her top singlet.
"What's that called?" She asked as he shifted her on the bike.
"I just f+ngered you. A little something to calm your pheromones." He explained simply, untangling her hair from the handlebars.
He picked her fallen earring.
"It isn't considered s+x?" She said out of nowhere, and his eyes met hers, a sardonic smirk adorning his lips.
"Just how naive and unlearned are you, your highness?"
Shayla turned her face away, but he pulled it back, holding her chin with peak fragility.
"If I f+cked you, we'd be far from done by now, and I wouldn't f+ck you in a dark corner, I prefer doing it on a bed—my bed, and again, if I f+cked you... you'd be bleeding there." He explained, glancing at the middle of her legs which she immediately moved together.
"Have you done it with someone else before?" She asked, and he touched her lip, caressingly.
"Why?" He smirked again. "Jealous of whoever took my first?"
"No...why would I possibly be jealous? I'm a mere partner, not a... girlfriend. I'm just...curious." She replied, and he saw how she gulped, obviously.
She lied.
"You know what a girlfriend is?" He let go of her lip.
"Xena once told me. Girlfriend and boyfriend are like lovers." She replied, voice gentle again, so gentle he felt at peace.
Her voice just does it for him.
He brushed her hair back.
"I was still with Ma when she gave birth to Kade, and I'm aware that only breastfeeding mothers produce br+ast milk." She said worriedly.
"You're a goddess, Shayla. Of course your body works different from the ordinary. Your body was due for my touches, and it became too much to hold down, so it pushed irregularities to your glands." He replied, putting the earring back in her ear.
"Oh...now I get." She nodded.
He carried her down from the bike, then he climbed back up and placed her in front of him again.
He was about to kick it to life when his Channeler Shell glittered in his pocket.
"One minute." He told Shayla, holding her head to his chest as he brought the shell out.
"Yeah." She replied, feeling like sleeping in his arms.
"Yes?" He spoke into the shell.
"The second Granny is here. Apparently, she arrived since morning, but she has been resting in her chambers. She only just stepped out this night, and she's already showing what she's capable of."
"Things like?" Ryker sighed.
"Killing a guard because he was too fat. She went to the slaves hall and killed ten slaves, Note; they did nothing to her—she drowned them in the face-eating well. Also, she poured hot water on your fath...i mean, Old Chef. She poured hot water on his hands because he served her cold tea." Sage listed the atrocities.
"And?" Ryker sounded.
"She's currently eating dinner with every member of the family at the royal dinning." Sage said.
"She was meant to come play her part. Let her be, I heard a lot about her psychopathia, and I'd love to witness more. Bring Xena to the tower." Ryker replied and kept the shell away.
His eyes went back to Shayla's head on his chest.
She's already asleep, but that won't stop him from taking her where he has in mind, so he brought the bike back to life again.
Even in her sleep, her arms instinctively wrapped on him.
She held tight till he arrived at his destination.

[East Palace, Castle Dinning]
The dinning is silent, not even the sound of cutleries on plates can be heard. Everyone ate in silence, not daring to make any pauperism sound like Granny Tara had tagged it.
Everyone's here, including Lilith who sees herself as an additional member of the family, thanks to Azura.
Granny Tara sat at the head of the table, looking as dark as ever. Her snake is on the table in front of her, and the serpent is eating with her on the same plate.
Despite Sadie's overbearing cranky personality, she's trying her best to keep herself together on the table for the sake of her favorite Granny.
Jude looks like he's in-between. Not happy not sad about this visit.
Soren looks obviously unpleased. He didn't even try to hide it.
Pearl looks just as intrigued as Sadie. She's even smiling as she ate.
Lilith looks invisible on her seat as she had to stretch her spoon to reach the table. She's more focused on the food than the new granny.
She checked her phone when it made a low buzz, and she beamed with satisfaction when she saw it's from the family store.
Her wedding dress is done, ready for the wedding in two days time.
She dropped the phone and focused back on her food.
Zeke is the happiest on this table. He's chuckling from time to time, ignoring the discomfort on Azura's face.
Azura has always disliked Granny Tara, and Tara dislikes her too.
"Isn't tonight the dark room auction?" Granny Tara's voice cracked in the room, breaking the silence.
"I sent some money to the committee pocket. We'll get the additional slave tomorrow morning." Zeke replied, and the old woman nodded.
"And why is your mother not on this table, Azura?" She faced her.
Azura looked up from her meal.
"I heard she's in this palace too, is she avoiding me?" Tara scoffed, giving her snake some water.
"She's in coma, for now." Azura replied.
Tara nodded. "That's what your family is known for—comatose, powerlessness, and blindness."
Azura's hand tightened on the spoon she's holding, and Pearl laughed before she knew it.
"Oh... it's the once upon a blind girl." Granny Tara looked her way.
"Yes, Granny. But I'm not a useless one. Granny Jojo passed down her powers to mother before she could see, but me? I was born to be great, and that's why I regained my sight on my own." Pearl replied proudly.
"Good. What exactly are you?" Tara gave her more attention.
"Not meant to be disclosed for now, but I'm sure it'd shock everyone when the time comes." Pearl smiled.
Tara moved her eyes to Sadie.
"You don't have to ask how I'm doing, I'm apparently not doing well. I'm still feeling the heat of the bastard and his partner in this palace." Sadie rolled eyes spitefully.
"You've always been like this, my favorite grandchild. Your hatred is what I love most about you, makes you more beautiful. You'll get a tip for that." Tara smiled.
Sadie smiled back.
"And about the partner and the demigod, it's part of why I came for the Feast. Your father has plans in place, just trust him." Tara continued.
She faced Jude next.
"I have nothing to say to you, Granny. Not when your snake is on this same table." He hissed.
The snake faced him, Jude shifted back on his chair.
"Oh...my snake hates when there's a better hisser around, careful." Tara warned. "Heard you're harboring dirty feelings for the partner. You have potential, use it for the family instead of lusting uselessly."
"Like I said..." Jude dropped his spoon too, relaxing. "I'm not talking to you."
"Hello, the new family member." Tara faced Lilith who immediately bowed.
"A banshee? One of it's kind? Better make yourself usefull when I'm still here, else I'll kill you myself."
"Of course." Lilith smiled.
Tara's eyes went to Soren next, and her smile turned bigger.
"I faced you last cos we have a lot to talk about. Sadie reported you to me, your slackness is lessening the bond between the two of you, and it's dangerous." She said.
Soren didn't reply, he just drank some water and relaxed.
"Your Granny is talking to you, Soren!" Zeke said.
Soren stayed still like he's deaf.
"Soren Millions." Tara called his full name, but he stayed unmoved.
Sadie folded her fists angrily.
Azura smiled, resuming her meal.
At the same time, Xena entered the dinning to deliver more soup cos Zeke ordered it.
"And who said you could enter at this time? Who said that!" Tara stood angrily, throwing her snake at her.
Xena's eyes widened, and as the snake neared her, she tried changing it's direction by communicating with it, but the snake is Tara's soul pet, so her ability didn't work on it at all.
The snake was almost at her face when Soren stood, hitting it away.
The snake gave him a bite on the wrist before returning to the table, but he kept the bite secret like it was nothing, like he was ok.
"It was...Grand Supreme. Grand Supreme told me to bring the soup." Xena stuttered.
"Get out!" Soren barked at her, and she walked backwards, nearly stumbling before she rushed out of the dinning room.
"Did Soren just defend someone?" Zeke and Jude said at the same time.
"I didn't defend anyone! I defended no one! I just hate when humans and animals stay together in one space. If you're going to talk to me, keep that foolish snake away!" Soren spat and left the dinning.
"I agree with my son on this" Azura stood, rolling eyes at Tara before leaving too.
Sadie kept sitting, thinking of brutal things to do to Xena.
Should she just cut her n+pples away and wear them as earrings?
She stabbed her steak angrily with her fork before leaving the dinning too.
Jude and Pearl left the dinning together too, and Lilith left with her own plate of food.
"I noticed a strange energy around him, that was the real reason I spoke to him last." Tara said, sitting back.
"What strange energy?" Zeke asked.
Tara faced him.
"That child is our major weapon in the future, Zeke. He's going to be what we need most, so we can't let anything come close. E.g, the Old Chef's daughter." She said.
"Anything you say shall be done. You're my only confidant apart from Esme." Zeke smiled.
"Oh... you'll take me to see that woman tomorrow. I need something beautiful to look at after Azura ruined my mood with her baked face. I wonder why you married her in the first place." Tara said, and Zeke laughed.
"I'll take you to see Esmeralda tomorrow."
"And tomorrow morning, gather everyone at the field for power trainings, including the banshee." Tara proceeded.
"Very well." Zeke nodded.
"Why am I not feeling the demigod's aura in the palace?" Tara asked.
"He's probably not in. That bastard needs no one's permission to enter of exit anywhere." Zeke sighed.
"He wiped off 12 generations, and he's the same person who wiped off a whole city?" Tara laughed.
"The more I get to know about him, the more impressed I am. I can't wait to see what his so-called partner looks like."

[Granny Jojo's Chamber]
Azura came in with a kitchen knife, her steps widening till she got to Granny Jojo's bedside.
She cut her finger with the knife, and once it bled, she brought it to Jojo's lips. She almost dropped her blood in her mouth when Zeke entered.
He pushed her away from the bed, stopping her.
"You're going to wake her from coma with your blood? Are you crazy?"
"Why not? She passed down her powers to me anyways so fragments of her energy is in me which is capable of waking her up once she tastes my blood! You have your mother by your side, and she's acting all tall and mighty, talking down on my family. I need my mother beside me too!" Azura snapped.
She went closer again, but Zeke held her, tight.
She broke free and slapped him in the face, shocking him.
"You sat there when she called my family powerless, and Pearl was laughing, but you said nothing, and now you're here to what? Stop me? I should wake mother up and apologize to her cos she's my only aide!" Azura yelled.
"Mother has this controlling energy inside her, you should have gotten used to it already! Even I can't stand near her tongue!" Zeke yelled too.
"I don't care! I just want my mother conscious, so scram!" Azura pushed him away and forcefully shoved her bleeding finger into Jojo's mouth.
"Mother, mother wake up." She shook her, vigorously.
Zeke inserted his hands into his regalia pockets behind, smiling knowingly.
Jojo's eyes peered open, and Azura gasped happily.
"Mother? Mother... welcome back"

[Servants Quarters]
Old Chef is in his bed, sleeping after suffering endlessly from the burns on his hands.
Xena is sitting at a corner in the room, holding her wrist and imagining the snake bite on it.
She clearly saw the snake biting Soren earlier, and now she's wondering if he's ok.
He's strong, but not without his sister, and right now he doesn't seem to be in a good mood with his sister, so she's greatly worried.
She looked at the cigarette in her palm, the one he threw at her this morning, and she sighed.
A knock sounded at the door, causing her to stand.
She was thinking it's one of the cleaning maids till she got to the door and say Cheyenne and Sage.
"We're to get your out of here, move into the tower. Tara is here, and it's not safe for you." Sage said.
"I'm not moving to the tower without father. Ryker hates father, and I hate father too, but it's not enough for me to leave him here alone. He was almost burnt to death today, so imagine what's going to happen without me?" Xena replied.
"What did I tell you? I said she'd never after without her useless father." Cheyenne rolled eyes.
"He's not useless, he just made a mistake." Xena said.
"A mistake which made you lose your mother! You and Rumi your silly twin were already three year olds before it happened, you both enjoyed mother's warmth for three years, but think about his lordship. He was just born when your father had to do his arse spanking rubbish! Your mother was killed when she was still covered with the blood of his lordship's birth! At the same day, your twin went missing and is still not found till now. If you keep defending your father this night, Xena, I'm going to slap you!" Cheyenne said angrily.
"Cheyenne no" Sage pulled her back.
"Yunno this would be the third time his lordship would be trying to get your out of this quarters to the tower, and you kept saying no. From now on, whatever happens to you is your problem to solve!" Cheyenne broke free, storming away.
Sage left too, and Xena shut the door, sitting behind it and burying her teary face in her thighs.

[City, King's Mansion]
Since Faye mentioned the thing about Kade acting odd in school, she has been determined to dig it out, so she came here under the cover of the night, wearing a nose mask and a beanie cap to conceal her identity.
Thanks to her snaking ability, she was able to slither into the mansion, and she climbed up the wall, staying behind Liza's room and waiting for anything to go wrong or odd.
She didn't wait long. Just five minutes later, Liza entered the room with her phone to her ear.
She's speaking to someone.
"Rumi, I respect you a lot as the demigod's sister, I respect you cos your spells are strong, but you're starting to make me think you're unworthy of that respect. What was that letter? You're going to stop working with me and unveil the mark cover anytime you want? I paid you!!" Liza shouted.
"Maybe if you pay more?" Rumi replied from the other end.
"I've been paying you for close to 23 years now, and I'm saying no. I won't give you more money for your drugs addiction you junkie! You do not mess with me!" Liza threatened.
"Should I ring it that you're her mother then? Kade hates her, so the moment it gets out that she's his half-sister, he'd hate you more than you can handle. Should I shake the tables and raise the stakes?" Rumi laughed.
"Why are you doing this? The Feast is almost here so why are you hell-bent on ruining my plans." Liza huffed.
"Lumi park tomorrow, 10pm. Bring me another bag of cash to renew the zip on my mouth, or else I'll find a way to make Shayla go back in time to lift the mark cover!" Rumi threatened and hung up.
"Rumi? Rumi!" Liza threw the phone away, stomping frustratingly.
"I'm going to kill her, I'm going to kill her...I'm going to... really kill Rumi."
Faye slithered back down the wall, crawling out to where she scaled out at. She changed back to human form and dressed back up, smiling as she rushed down the silent road.

[West Palace]
"Finally, the fake FrostOrb is done." Winona said as she joined the others at the lobby.
She's holding the fake orb wrapped in a clothe, and she placed it in the center table, removing her glasses from her eyes.
"That was faster than I thought" Kasia stood, joining her.
"Told ya, it'd only take a while." Winona shrugged.
"Let's take a look at it then" Astor joined them, and Winona removed the cover clothe from the orb.
The blue shine from it nearly blinded them. They all had to web their eyes with their fingers.
The shine went beyond the lobby, going up the towers and bursting out of the windows.
It's too bright.
"I should reward you for this, definitely. This is huge." Kasia said, satisfied.
"I know, right? I did a good job. At least I'm functioning for this family." Winona cracked her neck and fingers.
"Now that the orb is done, what next? Lifting the midnight curse?" Astor said, looking as impressed as Kasia.
"How do we receive forgiveness for what our ancestors did? I don't follow." Winona said.
"Simple, we find the grave of the snake woman and offer rituals to appease her soul and lessen her resentment." Astor said.
"Fine, how do we find her grave?" Winona said.
"Leave that to me, I'll take care of it tomorrow." Kasia sat back.
"Are you guys seeing what I'm seeing? The eccentric granny is back to the East Palace as the new Matriarch." Blaise announced, rushing downstairs with his phone and a cup of orange juice.
"You mean Granny Tara, Grand Supreme's mother?" Winona said.
"Exactly, and according to lumi web, she's already displaying her psychopathia." Blaise chuckled.
"Heard she doesn't like Azura, so Azura must be going through a lot right now." Kasia grinned.
"That apart, where is Faye?" Astor asked, and Blaise frowned.
"She's not here? She left me upstairs since...an hour ago?"
"An hour ago?" Astor and Kasia chorused with wide eyes.
"She's somewhere causing trouble again, that's it." Winona nodded.
"You mean gathering information?" Faye replied, coming inside with wild bounces on her sneakers.
She took Blaise's juice cup and downed it all at once.
"Where did you go?" Astor asked.
"I suspected Kade was keeping a secret, so I slithered into his house to figure out what it's about. I found out the secret, but I also found out another secret! Y'all have to start worshiping me in this family, I'm your good luck." Faye winked.
"Make it clear" Blaise replied.
"So apparently, Liza is Shayla's mother." Faye started.
"Liza the fashion diva? Kade's mother?" Winona blinked.
"Of course,who else?" Faye shrugged.
"What!" Blaise and Astor gasped together.
"Also, Shayla's mark isn't coming out yet because it's covered by someone called Rumi, and to lift the cover, Shayla has to—"
A gunshot sliced through the air, interrupting the peace and quiet.
The bullet came directly for Faye, and she quickly jumped out of the way, landing on the nearest couch where the second gunshot sounded at.
Faye tumbled, escaping that one too, and when she landed back on her feet, she landed beside Blaise who immediately covered her.
All mouths are wide, especially the parents and Winona.
Faye was panting, and at the same time, they all looked up at the railings where the shooter stood like the devil's vice.
Rumi.
She leaned her elbows on the railings, staring down at everyone with a sick smile on her face which looks exactly like Xena's.
Except that her own hair is bright blonde.
A cartridge gun sat in her right hand, and her manicured fingernails are tapping the trigger carelessly.
The smell of gunpowder is still in the air, thickly.
"I missed two times...I must admit you're fast, Faye." She said, voice velvety and high.
"I put spells around the house of my clients, so I get alerted anytime there's a gecko glitch. You really didn't think you'd open the secret I've been keeping for years, did you?" She grinned, raising her legs to climb the sharp edge of the railings.
She stood there with her heels.
"X..ena?" Blaise muttered.
"Nice try, it's Rumi." Rumi winked.

[A Flower Island]
Shayla didn't expect anything less from the god of ice and treasures, but at the same time, she didn't expect something this splendour.
The moment she opened her eyes earlier and came down from the bike with Ryker, she was shocked to see their location changed completely.
They're in a flower island which she hasn't heard about before, and there are every flower you could think of, covering the grounds, slopes and valleys. Also, there's a flowing river beneath the island, surface clustered with flower varieties like the main island itself.
There are snacks, fruits and there are playthings too, a fake gun and a real arrow, cartridges.
"Wow! This is beautiful!" She gushed, skipping her legs down the island in a small dance.
She nearly stumbled into Ryker's legs, so he had to stop and let her do her silly dance away.
Her hair was jumping with her as she leapt, and she finally fell when her boot git stuck in one of the flower stems.
"Shayla!" Ryker went down to pick her up, and she smiled brightly at him.
"I'm just too thrilled to see this, what's the name of this place?" She asked, rubbing his fingers.
"No name yet, I created it when you were asleep in the afternoon." He replied, and she looked back at the island with a blink.
"Really? No name yet? Can I name it then?"
"As you wish" he walked to the table to sit on it, and she immediately stood between his legs.
"Pink Island?" She suggested.
"Childish." He replied.
"But pink flowers are so many here...is pink your favorite color?" She asked, hanging her arms on his neck slowly.
"I don't have a favorite color, but pink is yours." He replied, looking up at her with a smile.
"Gosh...I love when you smile." She touched his dimples fondly, and that made him laugh.
"When you laugh too." She added, and he held her waist.
"Do you love flowers?" She asked.
"I prefer roses, but you love flowers." He replied.
"How did you know?" She blinked.
"Should there be a how?" He moved his head, and she took her bottom lip in, blinking.
"Cute" he touched her nose before picking the fake gun from the table.
He threw it to her, and she caught.
"It's heavy!" She gasped.
"Of course, death is heavy." He replied, getting behind her to raise the gun with her.
Together, their fingers slid under the trigger, and he dragged it with her.
Instead of bullet, fireworks exploded from the barrel, cracking in a loop across across the moonlit sky.
"Not a gun? Whoa..." Her mouth and eyes widened in awe as she beheld the supernova beauty.
"Of course it's not, you'd probably faint here of it was a gun." He replied.
"Gun is scary, of course I'd be scared" she stated.
"Scared of guns when you have a FireStone burning inside you? Peak." He said, placing his chin on her hair and inhaling the scent of her shampoo as they watched the still cracking fireworks together.
Occasionally, he peeked at her happy face, the sight making him calm.
"Will I become ruthless like you when I get my mark?" She suddenly said, not pulling her eyes away from the skies.
"You don't want to?" He fingered her hair gently.
"I want to remain a soft girl forever and only bite back when necessary. I just want softness only." She replied sincerely.
"We'll see about that when the mark appears soon." He set his hand on her tummy, pressing the skin.
Shayla picked a strawberry from the table, taking a huge bite then offering him to take a bite too.
"Not interested." He frowned, slightly pushing it away.
"Oh...sorry." She said.
Her expression fell flat, but she tried to hide it which failed.
She was about to lower her hand when he took it suddenly, and she gasped out.
He brought her hand, to his mouth to take a small bite from the strawberry.
"Happy now?" He asked, chewing slowly.
Shayla smiled with two fast nods, watching him chew with intrigue.
The breeze turned colder, suddenly feeling like it's going to rain, but it's not rain. The weather is probably respecting Ryker's cold aura.
Shayla moved to the other side of the table, check-in out the rest of the food with glee.
"Hmm! Osmanthus candy!" She picked it up, unwrapping one into her mouth.
She picked the small plate of cake and sniffed it close to her nose, her expression funny as she looked at Ryker across the table.
Ryker's smile was small as she took a huge bite from the cake, eating...
"Delicious..." She shook her head slowly, closing her eyes to savor.
She dropped the plate and came to him, jumping on him suddenly.
Ryker quickly held her laps, keeping her safe as her face rested on his neck where she chewed the rest of her cake.
"You smell so good, it's addictive. Can't even name the scent but I like it." She said, sniffing his neck.
"You're a simp." He chuckled smugly, placing her butt on the table.
"What's a simp?" She asked.
"Won't tell" he said.
"I see it through your eyes, it's something bad." She replied.
"And?" He inched closer.
"I...." She smiled. "I don't know."
She was only able to say that much before he pressed his lips tightly on hers, devouring her face.
She has no idea why her chest kept slamming, but she held his face, her thumb rubbing his ears, and his hand flattened at the back of her head.
The kissed him back with sweet softness, their pointed noses rubbing which she has come to like a lot.
Suddenly, something foreign surged inside Ryker, shaking him.
His eyes opened, and his lips separated from hers.
