★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

Shayla's eyes went wide with a big bulge, almost pushing the balls out of their sockets.

Instantly, a slim line of sweat fell from her temple, rolling down her chin before dropping on her chest.

Her ears went red.

Ryker's lips didn't move, it sat there softly on hers, as if waiting for her approval.

Her eyes kept fluttering—they refused to close. Her body went paused, she couldn't move, but she could already taste him on her tongue.

Ryker's eyes are open, too. He could feel the lusciousness of her lips already, and It only made his hunger worse.

His right hand went to hold her face, angling it up properly.

She gasped into his mouth, her mouth opened in the process. He deepened the kiss, capturing her whole lips and stealing her breaths.

Her right hand grabbed his suit jacket, fisting it as shaky breaths escaped her nostrils.

Her eyes went shut before she knew it, and Ryker took that as a sign. He began moving, eating her lips hard.

He didn't use the tongue though, considering the fact that she doesn't even know how to kiss yet.

He just ate her, licked and sucked on the two parts, parting her mouth and sighing inside, eating her gasps and stealing all of her softness away.

Her tenderness and innocence are so sweet that he couldn't even get enough no matter how hard he ate.

He only got hungrier, and his groans got heavier, his pace snapped.

He spiralled.

Her hold on his suit tightened to a knot, and her breaths stopped coming as she tried to respond as sweetly as possible, but despite his intentional slowness, she still wasn't able to match up.

Also, the heat in the middle of her n+ked legs is getting worse. She's aching so bad. It's beating like an heart, and she began feeling the need to pee again.

It was wilder than the ones she felt in school, she couldn't control it this time. She felt it crawling out of her opening, and she gently pushed his chest with her second hand.

Despite his desperate need to satisfy his mad hunger, Ryker was attentive.

He pulled away from her when he felt the push. He broke the kiss, her pink lips looking pale as their eyes met again.

She looks embarrassed, and scared.

"I think... maybe I peed on myself." She said, blinking her eyes away from him.

He caught her chin, making sure she's staring at his eyes.

"I told you, it's not pee. You're simply wet. It's the pheromones." He whispered.

"Is that why you kissed me too? The pheromones?" She asked, searching his eyes for answers as tension soared between them.

Ryker didn't talk, but his expression is too dark to read.

"And...what does wetness mean?" She asked, causing his brows to twitch.

She doesn't even know that?

She has been too sheltered away from this cruel world, lived all her life in a cage, so it's understandable.

"Come here." he pulled her to the bed, pushing her to sit down on it.

He went on a knee in front of her, then he held her laps, trying to spread her legs, but she held back.

His eyes rode up to hers, and he saw a lot of doubt in there.

"What are you going to do to me?" She asked, slightly shaky.

"Do you trust me?" He asked in a hush.

She nodded once.

"Words, Firefly." He reminded.

"I do" she corrected.

"Spread your legs, let me take a look at the situation down there." He said.

Shayla rested her palms on the mattress, fisting the bedsheets tight, then slowly...she opened her thighs.

It took an extra minute after she did it before Ryker shifted his eyes there

Just like he expected, she's freshly soaked, and it's not the normal kind.

It's much.

She needs touches. Deep, sensual strokes. She needs them.

The sweet scent of her coochie made the darkness in his eyes intensify, his mind went numb together with everything pulsing inside him.

It's like time stopped, he couldn't control the influence.

His fingers started going there, crawling towards her wet entrance, riding on her thighs and drawing invisible s+x lines on her skin.

The jewel rings on his fingers went deadly cold against her skin, and Shayla held her breaths, her toes shaking on the ground.

She grabbed the bedspread again.

The closer his hand got to her entrance, the more breathless she became.

His finger was just an inch away from her pink clî+oris when his phone rang in his suit pocket, and that shattered the ice building in the moment. It shattered the tension.

His hand stopped, and Shayla's breaths came back.

He withdrew his hand and pulled out the stupid ringing phone.

'Sage' flashed on the screen.

With a unsatisfied sigh, he swiped green, standing up.

"Boss, you said five minutes but it's ten minutes already. The gateway you created is starting to close. Also, the ice is starting to melt without you here." Sage reported.

"My ice?" Ryker frowned, getting serious.

"Yes, you froze the staffs but they're starting to melt even without you." Sage replied.

Ryker hung up immediately, he turned around to see Shayla is already standing behind him.

He took her underwear out of his pocket, then he took her palm and placed it there.

Another look into her eyes, he was already walking out of the bedroom.

But she quickly held the tip of his suit jacket with two fingers, and that was enough to stop him.

He turned to her again.

"I feel better, strangely. Is it because of the kiss?" She asked.

"Obviously?" He replied.

Her smile widened.

"I like it though...the kiss. I like it so much." She shyly said, taking her bottom lip into her mouth.

Ryker felt his throat moving again.

Darn, this shouldn't be happening when he has so much to settle in the human world right now.

"I'll send Cheyenne to take care of you. Rest here and prepare for your maze party." He said.

"Are you going somewhere?"

"To the human world, I've got too much to settle." He answered.

"Oh..." She quickly let go of his suit. "You should go quickly then, but can I have another pill?"

"I conjured the pill power from my FrostOrb, and you're fire, Shayla. If you take too much ice energy, you'll suffer backlash." He explained.

"Right...I didn't know." She muttered.

His eyes caught something on the floor, and he bent slightly to pick it up. It's her left earring.

"It must have fallen" she said.

Ryker brushed her hair behind her ear, giving him access to her ear. He wore it back for her.

"You're not comfortable with the long hair, I'll have it cut to shoulder level soon." He said.

"No no! You used your power to make it as long as this, so don't cut it. I like it, and I've grown comfortable with it." She quickly said.

"And the heels?" He asked.

"I'm still trying to adjust to that, for now." she replied sincerely.

"Wear flats to the party, and don't drink alcohol. Not even a drop." He said, rubbing her earlobe.

"Yes, My Lord." She smiled brightly.

He responded with a light smile which made her eyes gleam.

He's got dimples? They're beautiful!

But before she could comment about them, he has already teleported out of the room, leaving her to herself.

She sat back on the king-sized bed, peering at the underwear on her palm. He really gave it back to her in his bedroom.

She looked around his huge bedroom, taking in the smell of his petals and his godly aura.

But everything flashed from her memory when she remembered Xena.

"Xena!" She stood from the bed, rushing out of the room.

She bumped into Cheyenne by the door, and Cheyenne held her before she could fall.

"Why the run, Tiny?"

"Xena. I left her in school. Soren came to get her before I went to the cafeteria alone, so—"

"She's fine." Cheyenne cut her off.

"How are you so sure?" Shayla asked in confusion.

"Before Lord Ryker sent you both to the school, he made plans, so if she wasn't fine, he would have known, and would have gone to the school to get her himself." Cheyenne explained.

"Oh..." Shayla sounded, frowning and giving her lip a slight bite when she felt the subtle feeling in the middle of her back again.

"You good?" Cheyenne asked.

"The middle of my back, I've been feeling odd." Shayla replied.

Cheyenne's lids went up."Did you just say the middle of your back?"

She went behind Shayla, pulled her blouse up to view her back.

There's still no mark, but the middle has a red line, and it's hotter than the rest of her skin.

Cheyenne gasped.

"I think your mark is preparing to show. I think so. You're getting your fire soon."

"Seriously?" Shayla turned to her, eyes wide.

"Trust me." Cheyenne replied.

[Black Swan Ballet School]

The party starts by 8, and it's still only 6pm, so there's still time to laze around and chat about the happenings from two hours ago.

It's all-over the lumi web and every other small tabloids in the city, both magical and ordinary.

Kade King, son of Liza King.

Mercury Vega, daughter of Esme Vega.

Sadie Millions, Grand Princess of the East Palace.

The three important ballerinas got thrashed and wounded brutally by Shayla, a slave from the East Palace.

The three of them have been taken to the Haven for alchemists treatment, but according to the reports flying around, their wounds are refusing to heal.

Faye and Blaise sat in a corner at the graffiti hall, both laughing as they checked out their phones, going to every web to read the hashtags.

"Someone said that was the first time they saw Sadie's tears." Blaise said.

"So that witch can actually cry? Oh heavens, I love Shayla for this." Faye replied.

"I still don't know what is Kade's problem with her though." Blaise wondered loudly.

"Isn't he your best friend? Ask him." Faye shrugged.

"And who do you think came for her?" Blaise wondered again.

"Are you retarded? Of course it's the demigod. Do you know how many dancers went blind cos of the cold wind? He once saved you, I believe you should have recognized his aura by now." Faye rolled eyes.

"But...what's the source of Shayla's sudden power? She's fire, so of it was her power, we should see fire." Blaise spoke again.

"Now I'm getting really tired of your questions. She's the demigod's partner, of course he knows how to keep his partner safe. He probably injected her with some magic potion." Faye rolled eyes again.

"Be kind with your words, and stop rolling eyes at me." Blaise said, and Faye scoffed.

"Wait...what are you feeling like? Just because I'm here talking to you doesn't mean we're close, so you have no right to chose how I talk to you. You're the same person who named your late dog by my name." She stood, grabbing her juice cup.

"You hate my mother Kasia, I hate your father Astor too, that's enough reason to make me mad." Blaise stood in defense.

"Wrong," Faye flashed a finger across his face. "I hated your mother, but not anymore. I've decided to reason with her, she's a good woman who's trying to get her place back in this city, and I'll do all I can to help her cos...my father really loves her."

She grabbed her bag and gave him a fake smile.

"I'm gonna go dress up for the maze party, maybe the distant prince might notice me." She said, and walked out.

Blaise sat back with a humph.

He took his own cup of juice, but it's emoty, just ice.

In frustration, he poured the ice in his mouth and chewed, getting his phone to go back to the web.

"Tommorow is the dark room auction for this month? Last slave auction was two months ago, and that was Shayla. The auction didn't hold last month cos the slave committed suicide." He read, scrolling up.

"Prince of Eclypseria—the second most populated non-human city, will be coming to Luminaria to chose a bride for himself." He read.

"Wait..." He looked up. "Is he the same Prince Dyke who'll be coming here tonight to chose a bride? Is he even handsome?" He scoffed.

He clicked on his picture, nodding.

"I'll give him a seven over ten for the looks. Let's see what tonight is going to look like." He sighed, chewing on the ice again before standing.

He left the hall.

At the back of that same hall, Soren and Xena are sitting.

There's a closed compartment which can only be accessed by exclusive dancers, and Soren occupied the compartment with her.

He's sitting on a table, and she's sitting on a chair opposite him.

He's with his qin, not playing it, but he has been admiring it for long. It's obvious he adores that instrument.

His earpods are in his ears, but he's not listening to any music.

Xena has asked why they are here close to ten times, but he hasn't replied at all.

It's like he's not hearing her, and it's becoming too unbearable.

Shayla said Ryker gave her some power pill, so she'd be safe from the bullies, but still... she's worried.

"You...haven't told me why we're here?" She spoke up again, and this time, Soren looked up, loosening the cufflinks on his shirt sleeves before adjusting on the table. His belt moved up his waist slightly.

"Do you need a kick?" He talked back.

"I don't mean to disrespect, but that kick would be preferable right now. Just kick me and let me go. I'm worried about Shay." She stood.

"Sit down." He replied.

"Kick me." She came closer.

"Sit down!" He growled.

"Kick me" she came closer again.

Without warning, he stood from the table, and she quickly moved back, losing all boldness till her back fell on the compartment wall.

He stopped right in front of her, his boot pressing the front of her heels.

She swallowed, looking out of the small window.

"Aren't you older than me?" He asked rhetorically.

"So what? You're more powerful." She replied anyways.

"Not without my sister. You could kill me here right now with you animal summoning ability, I won't be able to fight back." He said, and she finally looked at him, the space between them so congested.

"Why are you doing this?" She breathed frustratedly.

"I erased their memories the last time during the break-in. Why do you think they didn't remember the bees you summoned?" He replied dryly, and her eyes widened a bit.

"You did?"

Soren stepped back, checking out his qin obsessively again.

"Why? Why would you do that?" Xena came to him.

"Why should I tell you?" He snickered.

"Then why did you bring me here?" She asked, frustratedly.

"To stay away from the outside world for a bit. I needed company, and I chose you." He replied without expression, swinging the door open.

He walked out of the compartment.

"Such a weirdo" Xena muttered, staring at the door.

"He erased the memory of his twin sister? Why?" She asked herself.

Someone else entered the compartment, and she jumped, thinking he came back, but she relaxed when she saw Cheyenne.

"Cheyenne?"

"Tiny is back at the tower, I'm taking you to prepare for the party with her." Cheyenne said.

[School Treatment Haven]

Sadie, Kade and Mercury are on different beds, but recuperation is far from them.

They're not healing.

Sadie is worse since she received the largest hits. She has bandages all-over her body, arms and around her head. She looks like a ghost.

Kade only has bandages on his face and chest, but Mercury's wounds are minimal. She's only wounded on the forehead, just a little plaster.

Director Esme is beside her.

She's the only available parent apart from the alchemists.

Kade is still cussing on his seat, but Sadie can't even talk. She just lay in bed, thinking of Soren.

She mind-linked with him earlier, and she was sure he's in the school premises cos she felt him, but he didn't show up.

He left her at the mercy of the lowly slave, and now she became a laughingstock for everybody.

Sadie never cries, but that slave made her cry, and that's something she's going to make her pay for.

"Are you ok?" Esme asked Mercury who's sitting up in her bed.

"Yeah, just slight pain on my temples. I need to go though." Mercury stood.

"Go where?" Esme stood too.

"Told you I have a soul shift to do. I'll be at the party after I'm done with it." Mercury replied, wearing a face cap to keep her face away.

She left the Haven.

Almost immediately, Liza came in, and Blaise entered, too.

"Kade!" Liza rushed over to Kade's bedside.

"Buddy, your face got ruined again."  Blaise commented mockingly.

Kade grinded his jaws.

"Your daughter did this to me, and she's going to pay. I dunno what entered that bîtch, but I'm going to make her regret it." He threatened silently, making sure only Liza heard.

"Can you just calm?" Liza rubbed his shoulders.

Her eyes went up, and she smirked when she saw Esme. The hate between them is obvious cos Esme gave her a bitter look too.

"Sadie?" Zeke walked majestically into the Haven. Everyone stood.

"Greetings, Grand Supreme!" They bowed to his royalty.

He didn't even have time to reply, he walked to Sadie's side, shocked to see her condition.

"How did this happen! How!!" He faced Esme.

"The slave girl brought by Ryker." Esme replied.

"Shayla? How come?" Zeke straightened.

"I believe Ryker himself was here too, some students went blind." Esme replied, and Zeke huffed.

"Let's talk in your office."

Esme followed him out, and Sadie started trying to stand from the bed, but the alchemists stopped her.

"Don't overexert yourself, it's dangerous for the wounds."

"Don't touch me!" She pushed them off, standing on her own.

Blood soaked her Haven gown from her body wounds.

"Bring Soren to me, find him even if he has entered the low ground. Bring him to my face, now!!!" She yelled, holding her head crazily.

Two alchemists ran out.

--

[Director's Office]

"Does this mean her mark is showing already?" Esme asked.

She entered first, and Zeke marched behind her.

"Nope, that can't be it. If it was her fire, she'd burn them. Ryker must have fed her something." He replied.

Esme turned to face him. "Are you going to let him continue his deeds? He's like a tyrant at this rate."

"Don't you trust me?" Zeke came closer.

She rested her body on her desk.

"To everybody, I'm weaker than Azura, but if only they know...if only they know who I am." He smiled.

Esme smiled, pulling him closer with the neckline of his regalia.

"And where is that foolish wife of yours?" She asked.

"I gave her something to keep her busy in the palace." He held her waist

"Does she even know she's just a side character? Does she know I'm the real Madame of the palace? Is she aware that we're getting rid of her soon?" She smirked.

"She's not meant to know yet" Zeke laughed, and Esme joined him.

"I agreed to invite Prince Dyke from Eclipseria cos of you, I dunno the deal you had with his father, but I hope it's fruitful." She said.

"He wants a bride as a signature of the friendship between I and his father, and this school is where the most good-looking people from this city is, so this party is just the right place." He explained.

"Well...I missed you, sweetheart." Esme dragged her arms around him.

"I love you." Zeke replied, and their lips met tightly, the lights in the office went off.

--

[East Palace, Bamboo Groove]

Azura didn't have to do much, dragging Old Chef here was easy.

She easily binded him with ropes and pulled him like an animal.

She pushed him down face-first beside the cold pure pool, his neck stayed over the wall, suspending his face inside.

Azura held up a kitchen knife, brandishing it with the moonlight with leaked in through the tiny spaces between the bamboo leaves.

The sight of it made Old Chef shiver beneath, his body went rigid when she squatted beside him.

"Where was your wife buried anyways? Or was her body burned?" She asked in a low whisper.

"She was...was... burned." Old Chef stuttered, feeling the blade of the knife flattening against his neck vein.

"So...do you want your son's body to be burned or buried when he dies?" Azura asked, smiling diabolically.

"What do you mean bury?" Old Chef struggled suddenly, slowly getting what's going on.

"Cos your son's dying soon, and you'll be behind it." Azura replied, stabbing the knife into his neck vein.

The vein split into two.

His blood stained the edges of the pool, and tears automatically ran out of his wretched eyes.

"Good. Don't worry, you won't die yet. You'll be healed. You only have to cry." Azura whispered, pushing his face closer to the pool.

Drip. Drip.

Two teardrops fell inside.

[Human World, Frost H2O]

It's 5am in the morning, and the meeting is just ending.

The staffs are trooping out of the hall, looking stressed and tired.

The new jewelry designs are still on the show glasses in the middle of the round table, dazzling as the practical lights hit them.

Though, Ryker's eyes are on the glasses, he's not really here.

His ice was already melting from the staffs when he returned earlier, and it's only because of Shayla.

He has lived for years without her fire, but now that she's here, he needs that fire to keep functioning well, but Rumi ruined things by hiding it.

The heavens did the most by not giving him power over her mark, so there's nothing he could do but wait for Rumi to take the bait, or rather grow a love thread for Shayla which he's seeing as impossible.

Him?

How would he ever grow one when all he thinks about always is blood, killings and revenge?

He's too ruined for that.

He pulled himself out of his thoughts by relaxing on his swivel.

By now, every member of staff left the hall except one of them.

He sat across Ryker on the table, hair evenly white with a tricky smile on his mischievous face.

"Meeting over, what are you still waiting for?" Sage questioned.

"Waiting for this hot-tempered god to recognize who I am." The man chuckled.

In another minute, Ryker teleported from his seat to the man, grabbing him by the neck and bringing his back to the table, hard.

"Urgh!! That's more like you!" He groaned.

"Eternus." Ryker muttered.

"I knew he'd recognize me." Eternus laughed again, and Ryker's hand left his neck.

He sat up on the table.

"Thanks to you, my soul entered this young human body, and luckily, it's not as weak as I expected." He said.

"And you decided to perch on my company?" Ryker walked away from him as he talked.

"Of course, it's safer." Eternus cleared his throat, jumping down from the table.

"Eternus?" Sage came closer, sounding and looking shocked as he stared at him.

"Your boss stabbed me with his deathbite dagger when I took him to Eclipseria, he killed my former old body." Eternus narrated.

"Oh...Epic." Sage smiled.

"You're starting to feel it, right? The pheromones that'd drive you both crazy till you grow your own personal feelings." Eternus said.

Ryker faced him.

"And you're starting to feel the decrease in your power grip, meaning you have to be faster. Grow a love thread and make the mark appear, or make Rumi come faster and lift the mark cover." Eternus continued, getting serious.

"She must get it out before the Feast, I'm sure you know both East and West Palace have plans for it, so be fast. She'd probably be feeling pains on her back by now...the mark doesn't like staying hidden for long."

"Pains?" Ryker frowned, remembering how Shayla mentioned feeling weird in the middle of her back earlier.

"Yeah, pains that's enough to make her mad." Eternus replied.

Cheyenne bursted into the hall suddenly. She looks impatient.

"How the hell are you here?" Ryker glared, looking pissed already.

"Her mark might be coming out soon, the middle of her back is red." Cheyenne announced.

"Oh...that's the hidden mark pain starting. The pain becomes highly unbearable if there's burning fire around her." Eternus said.

"Mark pain?" Cheyenne said in confusion.

"I clearly told you to stay there with her!" Ryker snapped.

"I thought she'd be ok. I thought you gave her another pill, so I dropped her and Xena at the maze and came here. I had called to inform you of my coming, but you weren't picking." Cheyenne explained.

Ryker tried opening another wall gateway to travel back to Luminaria immediately, but it won't open.

"You know there's a limit to how many times you can travel to Luminaria within twenty hours, right? You might have exceeded your limit. You'll have to wait till the sun goes down." Eternus said behind.

Ryker faced him, eyes burning like cold balls of fire.

"I'm going back, even if I have to force the gateway open. She can't suffer alone. I'm not allowing that." He replied, slamming the doors close with his mind.

The skies rumbled outside, and ice started raining aggressively only inside that hall.

He started conjuring the wall gate, forcefully. His palm slashed in the middle, and his blood dropped on the ice, strengthening the force.

"Boss, it's dangerous!" Sage tried to go closer, but Eternus pulled him back.

"Too late."

[Luminaria, Mount Zhitomir]

Mercury is here with her clients already.

Pearl and Lilith.

The place smells of rotten blood from the slaughter last month, and Mercury was smiling as she inhaled.

A metal bowl is in front of her, sitting on a stone. Inside the bowl, there's a lotta blood—pig blood.

Pearl is sitting on a wooden chair already, her blind eyes are folded with a black piece of cloth.

Lilith is behind them.

On top of the blood, there's a conjure bell, hanging on a black rope.

"Why must it be pig blood though?" Lilith asked, and Mercury faced her.

"Cos it's easier to work with. I'm exchanging her soul for her sight, she needs something dark, full of impurities like a pig to support the switch." She explained.

"Fine, shall we?" Lilith replied.

"Ready?" Mercury asked Pearl who has been silent on the chair.

"Yeah." Pearl replied, and Mercury took a deep breath.

She started by releasing the bell from the black rope, and it fell loudly into the bowl of blood.

--

[Mirror Maze Party]

Shayla has never attended a party all her life, and this one being the first, she has plans to make the most of it, except that she won't drink.

Cheyenne had picked out clothes for her and Xena. Hers is a beautiful robe which covered her body well, and she likes it.

She has always wondered how Ryker feels in those black robes of his, and finally she got to feel it tonight, though her own robe is pink.

She's skipping her feet on her white sneakers, the decorative jewels on her hair dancing with her moves as they entered the mirror maze.

Music pounded the grounds and walls, fellow ballerinas from the school milled everywhere.

Noises even went above the trap music at a point.

It's full, and one could see their own multiple reflections on the irregularly mirrored walls.

"Whoa, it's ai beautiful in here..." Shayla turned around when they entered the inner part of the maze which is less crowded.

Her reflection on the mirror is like ten, and she chuckled.

"You look extra happy, apart from beating the bullies, what else happened?" Xena asked beside her.

She's wearing heels, so she's taller. Even naturally, she's taller, she looks like a real older sister.

"Yeah... something else really happened." Shayla smiled.

"What happened?" Xena came closer curiously.

Shayla looked around to make sure there's no one close, then she leaned in to Xena's ear.

"He kissed me" she whispered.

"Wait, what!" Xena gasped.

Shayla quickly covered her mouth. "Don't be too loud."

Xena nodded, and Shayla took her hand away.

"He did? Ryker?" Xena said, batting her lids in disbelief.

She brought out cookies from her belt bag, giving Shayla one pack since they've been warned never to eat or drink anything here.

"Hmm! Smells good!" Shayla inhaled the cookies, closing her eyes in over-exaggeration.

"You're so cute" Xena laughed. "You like the kiss that much?"

"Yeah" Shayla blushed, and Xena pulled her cheeks fondly.

"Hey, heroine!" Faye appeared, butting into their conversation.

Xena quickly pushed Shayla behind herself protectively.

"You're from the West Palace." She said, and Faye smiled.

"Yeah, chill. I don't bite. I'm Faye, and i want to thank Shayla for giving us a show today. Mhua!" She blew kisses, and Xena made faces.

"Thank you..." Shayla said behind.

"Yeah, by the way be careful. Prince Dyke from Eclipseria is here, and I heard he doesn't show his face to just anyone. He's only gonna appear to anyone he chooses, and no one has the right to decline him. Anyone he chooses, goes to Eclipseria with him." Faye explained.

"Like kidnapping?" Shayla asked.

"If you put it that way, have fun! The game starts in ten minutes." Faye waved and left.

"That sounds like a problem already, Prince Dyke?" Xena muttered.

Shayla came out behind her.

"He'd probably chose girls from wealthy families with connections to royalty. We're safe, let's go deeper and check out the maze well before the game starts." Shayla said.

"Sure" Xena replied, but just as they were about to move, she got a slithering feel.

She stopped, turning around sharply.

Her twin bond is flaring up. She could feel it in her core.

Rumi is close.

She's here somewhere.

She rushed down that lane, turning left and right, but it's empty. No one.

Did she feel wrong?

She squinted, looking left and right again. Still nothing.

She blew it off and turned back, but Shayla is nowhere to be found anymore.

"Shay?"

"Shay!" She ran forward.

--

The maze must be a magically planted one, cos one minute, Shayla was following Xena, and in another minute, she found herself in another part of the maze.

She turned around, her robe flowing with her, but instead of Xena, her head knocked into a hard chest.

The scent of strong smoke that hit her immediately was thick and sleep-inducing.

Her eyes went drowsy.

She closed it and opened it, trying to fight the sleep, but it won anyways.

Her cookie nylon fell from her as her arms went down weakly, and the cookies pieces scattered around the mirrored ground.

Her eyes closed, and her head fell against the hard chest.

Two of the decorative gold and crystals in her hair fell off, and her lips opened slightly.

"Moy...Vladika." She muttered before the sleep went deeper.

She slept off completely.

The long veiny hand of the person curved around her slim waist, and the second hand came up to her face, his big thumb pressing her lips.

"Found the one." His gravelly voice said, belonging to the distant prince.
