The next morning, a wave of relief washed over everyone as the doctor delivered the news that Naomi was out of danger, although she had fallen into a coma. The royal family and some guards arrived at the hospital after Nathan's call, and everyone waited patiently for Alex to wake up. Finally, Alex regained consciousness, his eyes fluttering open weakly.

"Alex," King Luke called out, rushing to his side with the others.

Alex groaned softly and sat up in bed with the help of Nathan and his mother.

"Son, are you okay?" Queen Lala asked.

"Should we call the doctor?" Diva asked, already moving towards the door.

But Alex's response was unexpected.

 "Naomi," he murmured.

"What did you say?" Nathan asked, leaning in closer. Alex's face contorted with worry as he grabbed Nathan's hand.

"Naomi, where is Naomi?" he asked, his eyes pleading weakly.

Before anyone could respond, Alex quickly removed the drip from his hand and pushed everyone aside, rushing out of the room weakly.

"Alex!" Diva called out, as they all followed him.

Alex stumbled along the corridor, holding onto the wall for support, his eyes fixed on some unknown point ahead.

"Naomi," he kept murmuring, his voice filled with longing.

Mrs. Ruth emerged from one of the rooms and spotted Alex. She rushed to him, and his family gathered around.

"Where is Naomi?" Alex asked, his voice firm despite his weakness.

"I'll take you to her," Mrs. Ruth said softly, and Nathan supported Alex as they made their way to the room.

As they entered the room, Alex rushed to Naomi's side, where she lay surrounded by ICU machines. He lay down next to her, wrapping his arms around her, his face etched with pain.

Everyone stared sadly at the scene, witnessing the depth of Alex's love and concern for Naomi.

"Let's give them a moment alone," King Luke said gently, and they all left the room, leaving Alex and Naomi in quiet solitude.

Outside the corridor, an awkward silence hung between Elena and Queen Lala. Nathan sat down next to Mia, cuddling her into his arms, while Diva watched with a fierce look in her eyes.

"How are you doing, Elena? It's been a while," King Luke said, breaking the awkward moment. They turned to him, confused, wondering how he knew Elena.

"I'm fine, Luke... I mean, Your Majesty," Elena replied with a forced smile.

"That's good to know," King Luke said, his expression warm. "I must confess, I didn't know Naomi was your daughter."

Elena smiled again, and they continued chatting like old friends. Queen Lala couldn't bear the familiarity between them; she turned and left angrily, followed by Diva, Elora, and some guards.

After a few minutes of conversation, King Luke bid Elena farewell and left with his guards. Mr. Daniels and the others turned to Elena.

"You know His Royal Majesty?" Mr. Daniels asked, surprise evident in his voice.

"Yes," Elena sighed,  "We were course mates from school back in the day," she revealed.

"Wow," Nathan exclaimed.

"Seriously, who could have thought of that?" Mia added, her eyes wide with wonder.

"Well, that's all in the past now," Elena said, her face turning somber.

The group fell silent for a moment until Mr. Daniels spoke up again.

"Were you seriously not going to tell me about your health issues? If our daughter hadn't gotten into an accident, none of us would have known you had health issues."

Elena sighed sadly, regret etched on her face.

"I am sorry," Elena said, her voice laced with regret. "I was just trying to make amends for my mistakes. All I'm doing is for my daughter to forgive me."

"Can I ask you a question?" Mia said calmly, though anger simmered beneath her voice. "Why did you abandon her when you knew she needed you the most?"

Elena's eyes dropped, and she shook her head. "I have no reason for my actions. I just wish I could turn back time."

"Naomi won't be happy if she finds out you're in this condition," Mr. Daniels said, his voice firm but concerned.

"Yes, you just have to make her understand," Mrs. Ruth said, her eyes fixed on Elena.

"I will, I still have to thank you for looking after my daughter, for taking her as yours," Elena said, gratitude in her voice. Mrs. Ruth smiled and pulled Elena into a warm hug.

"It's okay, Naomi is my daughter, even though I didn't birth her," she said, her voice filled with love.

They pulled away from each other, and Elena smiled weakly. "Thank you," she said.

"You're welcome," Mrs. Ruth replied, smiling back at her.

Just then, a tall, attractive man with a familiar resemblance to Mr. Daniels appeared from behind. His presence commanded attention, and everyone wondered who he was, except for Elena, who smiled warmly.

"Mom?" he called out, his deep voice resonating through the corridor.

They all turned to him, taking in his chiseled features and broad shoulders. He rushed to Elena, enveloping her in a warm hug.

"Thank goodness you're okay," he said, relief evident in his voice. As they pulled away, he caressed her face, gently wiping away her tears. "How is she doing? Is she okay?" he asked, his concern for Naomi visible.

"Not yet," Elena replied. "She's still in a coma, but the doctor reassured us that she'll be fine."

"That's good," he said, his voice filled with optimism. "It's a good start. You don't have to worry; she'll be fine." He hugged Elena again, his tall frame towering over her.

"He is your son?" Mr. Daniels asked, cutting through the moment, and they pulled away from each other.

The guy locked eyes with Mr. Daniels for a while, then leaned toward his mother.

"Mom, is he the one?" he asked in a whisper, and she nodded, whispering back,

 "Go say hi to him."

He pulled away from her and moved closer to Mr. Daniels, a warm smile on his face. Mr. Daniels looked confused, but before he could react, the young man hugged him warmly.

"It's so good to finally meet you, Dad," he said, his voice filled with emotion.

The group's confusion deepened, and Mia's eyes widened in surprise.

"Dad?" she repeated.

Mr. Daniels was shocked, and they pulled away from each other.

"What's going on?" he asked, his voice laced with confusion and a hint of tension.

The atmosphere was thick with unspoken words, and everyone waited with bated breath for an explanation.

Meanwhile, back at the palace, Queen Lala stormed into the bedroom, her husband following closely behind. She turned to him, her eyes blazing with anger.

"What was that you did at the hospital?" she demanded.

"What did I do?" King Luke asked, his look calm.

"Are you seriously asking me?" Her voice rose. "I saw the way you were looking at her when you two were talking."

"What's going on, Lala? How did I look at her? Is it a crime to greet an old friend?" King Luke's voice remained even.

"Old friend my foot! You see your ex and flirt with them like that?"

"Listen, Lala, I'm not in the mood for your nonsense. If you'll excuse me, I need to freshen up and take a nap before going to see our son in the hospital." He walked toward the bathroom, but Queen Lala's nagging followed him.

"This won't end, Luke! You must explain to me why you were flirting with her!...Damn you, Elena!" She muttered under her breath, her anger simmering.

In another part of the palace, Elora and Diva chatted in hushed tones.

"So, that lady is Naomi's mother," Elora said, her voice filled with surprise.

"Yeah, the resemblance is there," Diva replied.

"I know her husband is one of the richest businessmen," Elora said. "She owns the biggest mall, and it turns out her late husband willed all his property to her and her children."

"Yeah, but I still don't care. My worry is how Dad knows her, and the familiarity between them was surprising."

"Yeah, I wonder too," she said, and they both sighed deeply, their minds racing with questions.
