Alex was getting some things in the shopping mall when Mrs. Elena approached him from behind.
"We meet again, Your Highness," she said, her voice friendly.
Alex turned to her direction, surprised to see her. "Mrs. Elena," he said, smiling.
"It's so nice you know my name. I thought you wouldn't remember," Mrs. Elena said, and they both chuckled.
"I'm not one to forget faces," Alex replied.
"That's good to know. Are you here to shop for your fiancée as usual?"
"Not really, this is for myself. What about you?"
"I own this place," Mrs. Elena said, and Alex's eyes widened in surprise.
"Wow, I had no idea about that," he said, impressed.
"It's okay," Mrs. Elena replied. "Do you have a few minutes? I'd like to have tea with you."
"Sure," Alex said, and they walked away, chatting.
Some hours later, Alex arrived home, holding a small shopping bag. He entered the living room to see his family at the dining table.
"Son, you're back," King Luke said, looking up from his meal.
"Yes, Dad," Alex replied, glancing at them briefly before turning to leave. His mother called out to him.
"Son.".He stopped without looking at her. "Can you come and have lunch with us?" Queen Lala asked, her voice firm.
"No thanks," Alex said, his tone polite but distant, and he climbed the stairs to his room.
Queen Lala sighed sadly, and Diva placed a consoling hand on her shoulder.
"Don't think too much about it, Mom. He'll come around," Diva said.
"Make amends and accept his choice," King Luke added.
"Naomi is not the choice I want for my son. It's just so hard to accept it,"
"That's your choice. Our son loves her, and there's nothing we can do about it," King Luke said, his tone matter-of-fact.
"Dad, can you please—"Diva tried to intervene. But King Luke ignored her and continued eating.
Some minutes later, Alex was at his balcony, working on his laptop, when someone knocked on the door.
"Who is it?" he asked from the balcony.
"Open, son, it's me," Queen Lala said from outside, and Alex sighed.
"What do you want?" he asked, his tone unfriendly.
"Son, open up. I just need to have a word with you, please," Queen Lala said, her voice soft and pleading.
"Sorry, I'm busy," Alex replied, trying to brush her off.
"Please, son, just listen to what I have to say. Please," Queen Lala persisted, and Alex hesitated before getting up to open the door. He returned to the balcony, his laptop still open.
"Say what you want to say. I don't have much time," Alex said, his tone still unfriendly, without looking at her.
"Son, when will you stop being mad at me? How many times will I tell you I had no idea what they did to Naomi?"
"Can we not bring up the past? What do you want?" He asked, his patience wearing thin.
"I came to make amends," Queen Lala said. "I've decided to accept your choice if that will change your mind about forgiving me."
"What did you just say?"
"I'll accept Naomi,"
"Just like that?" Alex asked, his tone skeptical. "What's your deal? I know you hardly have a chance of heart for something."
"I know I was too hard on you. Your happiness is my concern too. I'll respect your decision. Just stop being mad at me," she said, her eyes pleading with Alex.
Alex stared at her suspiciously, unsure of what to make of her sudden change of heart.

Naomi and Mia were having lunch with their father when someone knocked on the door. Naomi got up to answer it, and her eyes widened in recognition as she saw Mrs. Adma standing there.
"Who is it?" Mr. Daniel asked.
Mrs. Adma pushed her way into the house, her eyes scanning the room before landing on Mia. Mia stood up, looking surprised.
"So, this is where you stay," Mrs. Adma said, her voice dripping with disdain as she stared at the place.
"Um, good day, ma'am," Mia sputtered nervously.
"Who is she?" Mr. Daniel asked, his brow furrowed in confusion.
"I guess you don't know me. I am Nathan's mother," she said, her eyes locked on Mia.
"Oh, now I can see the resemblance. Please, have a seat," Mr. Daniel said politely.
"I'm not here to sit, but to make a warning," Mrs. Adma said, her gaze hardening as she moved closer to Mia.
"How much?" she asked, her voice cold and calculating.
The room fell silent, confusion etched on their end.
"What are you talking about?" Mr. Daniel asked.
"How much do you want for you to leave my son alone?" Mrs. Adma asked, her voice rising. "I have come with a cool mind to beg you to prevent this from going on, but you still go ahead in seducing my son."
"That's not true," Mia said, her voice shaking. "Nathan and I love each other."
"Well, I don't approve," Mrs. Adma snapped. "He is getting married to Diva, the woman meant for him. If you don't want me to make you and your wretched family disappear from the surface of the earth, end your relationship with my son. You are not welcome in his life. I won't accept you as my daughter-in-law."
"You're taking this in the wrong way," Mr. Daniel said calmly. "They did nothing wrong in loving each other. The only thing they need is our support."
"Support my foot!" Mrs. Adma exclaimed. "She can never be with my son, not while I'm still alive. If you don't end it, I'll end you," she warned, her eyes blazing with anger.
"Does your son know that you're here?" Naomi asked, her voice steady. "Do you think he'll be happy with you if he finds out you came here to pay off his girlfriend?"
"I can see you're not exempted as well," Mrs. Adma sneered. "I also heard you stole the crown prince from his betrothed. What a family."she said and Naomi rolled her eyes.
"You don't decide for your son. He went for what his heart truly belongs to. If you don't want to lose him, it will be..." But before she could finish, Mrs. Adma slapped her across the face.
"Don't you dare hit my sister like that!" Mia exclaimed, rushing to Naomi's side. "I won't leave Nathan no matter what you do," Mia said, her voice firm. "We love each other, and there's nothing you can do about it."
"Oh, we'll see about that," she said before turning to leave with the guards who had accompanied her.
"Why are these women against the choice of their son?" Mr. Daniels asked tiredly, shaking his head.
Naomi and Mia hugged each other warmly, finding comfort in each other's company.

Some hours later, Nathan was having dinner with his family when the doorbell rang. One of the maids rushed to answer it, and Mia stood at the door, exchanging pleasantries with the maid before coming inside.
"Hey everyone," Mia said, her voice cheerful, and everyone turned to her direction, looking surprised. Mrs. Adams' face darkened at the sight of her.
"Mia," Nathan called out, rushing to her and pulling her into a warm hug. After a long while, they pulled away from each other.
"What a surprise," Nathan said, smiling. "Why didn't you tell me you were coming?"
"Um, it wouldn't have been a surprise if I told you," Mia replied, smiling back. "But anyways, I won't be staying long."
"Why?" Nathan asked.
"I just came to tell you in front of your family that I love you so much, and no matter what anyone says, I won't stay away from you," Mia said, her voice filled with emotion, indirectly addressing his mother.
"Aww," Anna cooed, her eyes sparkling with amusement.
"What are you saying?" Nathan asked, looking confused.
"I love you, Nathan," Mia said, her voice filled with passion. "I love you so much, and I don't mind dying to show how much I love you," she said emotionally, their eyes locking in a deep gaze.
"What are you talking about dying?" Nathan asked, panic creeping into his voice. "Are you planning on leaving me?"
"I don't know what the future might hold for us when someone is against our relationship," Mia said, sighing. "Your mom came over to my house and tried to pay me off to stay away from you," Mia explained. "I turned her down, and she made threats against me and my family. So, I came to prove her wrong – no matter what, I won't leave you," she said, her voice firm.
Everyone was surprised, turning to Mrs. Adams with a mixture of shock and disapproval.
"You went to her house?" Mr. Adams asked, his voice stern.
"But, Mom," Josh protested.
"You have the nerve to come into my house after my warning?" Mrs. Adams said to Mia, her anger boiling over.
"I just did what is right, ma'am," Mia replied calmly. "The earlier you accept that I love your son and will do anything to have him, the better for you."
"How dare you!" Mrs. Adams exclaimed, her face red with rage.
"Mom!" Nathan yelled.
"I will never allow this nitwit into our lives!" Mrs. Adams retorted, her voice venomous.
"It's too late, ma'am," Mia said, standing her ground. "I am already in your son's life."
"Let's see how long it lasts," Mrs. Adams snapped before storming out of the dining room, leaving an uncomfortable silence behind her.
