Nathan and Mia walked hand in hand into the living room, where the family was gathered watching the latest news. They were surprised to see Mia, except for Anna, who smiled warmly.

"Hello, everyone," Nathan said, beaming with Mia by his side.

Mrs. Adams looked surprised, her eyes darting between Nathan and Mia. "Son, when did she get here?" she asked,

"She came in last night."Anna chimed in,

"Son, why didn't you bring her to the dining room for breakfast?" He asked.

"Sorry, Dad, I just wanted to have a little privacy with her." His father nodded understandingly.

"How are you doing, dear?"Mr. Adams turned to Mia.

 "I'm fine, sir."Mia replied politely,
Mr. Adams quickly dispelled the formality.

"You don't have to be formal; from now on, you can call me Dad. You're part of this family now." Mia's face lit up with pleasure.

"Excuse me," she said as she stood up and walked away angrily, leaving the others staring after her in surprise.

"Mom's still pissed off," Josh commented.

"She'll get used to it soon."  Anna reassured them,

"Um, we'll be on our way now," Nathan said.

"Okay, have fun," Mr. Adams said as they waved goodbye.

As they watched Nathan and Mia leave,

"When will Mom realize Brother really loves this woman?"Josh wondered aloud,

"She'll get used to it eventually." He said.

Back at the palace, Alex cuddled Naomi on the bed with his arms wrapped around her from behind.

"I am sorry," he said sadly, his voice filled with regret. Naomi turned to him, caressing his face gently.

"Can you not be sorry anymore? It's not your fault," she said, smiling to ease the guilt.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" he asked, their eyes interlocking in a deep gaze.

"Yes," she replied softly.

"Tell me, anything, and I will do it,"

"Stop feeling guilty for what happened; I'm at ease now that I told you about it," She said, her words bringing a sigh of relief from him.

As they stared into each other's eyes, Alex leaned closer, his lips colliding softly with hers. Their lips moved in sync as he pulled her closer, caressing her body. The kiss became more intense as they stood up from the bed, their lips never leaving each other. Alex pulled away slowly, scooped her into his arms, and they left for the bathroom.

Under the warm glow of the bathroom lights, they stood in the shower, their eyes never leaving each other. Alex's arms pulled her closer as he turned on the shower, the water enveloping them in a soothing cascade.

"Let me replace the bad memory with good ones," he whispered in her ear, "let my kisses and touches be the only memory you will have." His words sent shivers down her spine.

He started kissing her cheek, his lips grazing her skin, leaving a trail of fire as he made his way down to the sensitive spot on her neck. His hands explored her body, caressing her curves and pulling her closer. The water heightened the intimacy, and Naomi's breath caught in her throat as Alex's lips claimed hers again. Their kiss deepened, and their bodies molded together under the gentle stream of water.

The water cascaded around them, heightening the intimacy as Alex's lips trailed down Naomi's neck. His hands roamed over her body, caressing her curves, and pulling her closer. Naomi's fingers tangled in his hair, her nails lightly scratching his scalp as she deepened the kiss.

As the water poured down, it created a sense of isolation, a world of their own. Alex's touch ignited a fire within Naomi, melting away the pain of her past. His kisses were like a balm, soothing her soul and awakening her senses.

With every touch, she felt herself letting go of the guilt and shame. Alex's love and acceptance washed over her, cleansing her of the painful memories. In his arms, she found solace, comfort, and a sense of belonging.

As they stood under the shower, the water washing away their worries, hi's hands explored her body, his fingers tracing the contours of her skin. Her hands roamed over his chest, feeling the rhythm of his heartbeat.

Their lips met again, the kiss deepening as they lost themselves in the moment. The world outside melted away, leaving only the two of them, wrapped in each other's arms.

Days after their intimate moment, everything went back to normal for Alex and Naomi. However, the dynamics at the palace changed significantly for Queen Lala. Since Alex had stopped talking to her and avoided her gaze, the queen's demeanor shifted. She became more withdrawn, almost idol-like in her stillness.

He no longer joined them for meals in the dining hall, opting instead to eat in the solitude of his room. Whenever he returned from the office, he would head straight to his quarters, deliberately avoiding any interaction with his mother.

Naomi was engrossed in her work when a knock came in. She absently called out, "Come in," without looking up from her desk. Alex entered, a bouquet of white roses in hand, a charming smile spreading across his face. He approached her quietly, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he took in her focused look

As he leaned in to kiss her cheek, Naomi finally noticed him, her eyes snapping up to meet his.

"Alex!" she exclaimed, a hint of surprise coloring her voice. Alex pulled back.

"I remember I'm the boss, and it seems my fiancée works harder than me," he teased, his voice  playful.

"I'm sorry about that, I just need to get this done."

Alex's gaze lingered on her face before he leaned in closer, his lips brushing against her skin.

"That can wait, besides I'm going to sign it," he whispered. "But right now, I need my fiancée's attention." He said leaning closer and kissing her face.

"Alex, stop, you're distracting me."She giggled, trying to push him away.

Alex merely chuckled and continued his gentle assault on her senses.

"If you want me to stop, go out with me for my lunch,"

"Okay, fine, I will," she said, trying to sound resigned. Alex's face lit up with a triumphant smile as he straightened up.

"Meet me in my office in the next ten minutes. If you come a second late, you'll be punished," he said.

He turned and left, leaving Naomi smiling and shaking her head. She watched him go, a warmth spreading through her chest.

Some moments later, Naomi stood in front of the elevator, files clutched in her hands, waiting for the doors to open. As they slid apart, she was met with the gazes of several staff members already inside. Their eyes lingered on her, their expressions indifferent, and Naomi forced a smile before stepping in and turning her back to them. The doors closed behind her, and she felt a wave of relief wash over her.

However, her relief was short-lived. The staff members began to whisper among themselves, their voices barely above a murmur.

"She is the one that is secretly dating the boss," one of them said.

"Yeah, I heard she stole the boss from his betrothed, how cunning can she be," another staff member jested.

"If I were her, I will hide my face from the world," another one chimed in.

"I am very much sure, she succeeded in seducing the boss, so shameless," the gossip continued.

"Never in my life will I take another man from his woman, the guilt will hunt me down forever," someone added.

"I wonder what the boss sees in her to leave a wealthy beautiful lady to be with her, she is not that classic and her skin color, is the worst," another staff member snickered.

Naomi's heart sank as she listened to their harsh words. She tried to pretend she hadn't heard them, but the pain lingered. She felt a stinging sensation in her eyes, and she blinked rapidly to hold back tears.

Just as she thought she couldn't bear it any longer, the elevator doors opened, and Naomi's gaze landed on Alex, standing in front of the elevator as if waiting for her. The staff members behind her quickly composed themselves, and Alex noticed the sad look on Naomi's face, despite her attempts to hide it with a smile.

She stepped out of the elevator and was about to speak when suddenly Alex pulled her into a warm hug, making the staff behind her caught off guard.

"Don't ever think you can hide that pain away from me," he said, his voice low and soothing.

Naomi felt a wave of relaxation wash over her as she wrapped her arms around him, letting his warmth envelop her. After what felt like a minute, he gently pulled away from her and kissed her forehead. His PA approached them, and Alex's face turned cold.

"Get me their names," he said, his voice firm and commanding. He gave the staff a dead look.

The staff members were taken aback by his words, and fear overwhelmed them as they realized they had been overheard. Alex took Naomi's hand, and they walked off together, leaving the staff members frozen in anxiety.

As they walked hand in hand, Naomi felt a sense of comfort and protection in Alex's presence, but she couldn't help but wonder what would happen to the staff members who had spoken ill of her.
