Nathan trudged into the living room, exhaustion etched on his face after ensuring Mia was on the mend before leaving her at home. His family sat frozen, their faces pale as they stared at their phones.

 "Son, you're back," Mrs. Adam said.

 "What's going on? Why the long faces?" 

"Have you seen the news trending online?"Josh spoke up, 

 "What news?"

"It's about Prince Alex ditching his betrothed for another woman. Everyone's pointing fingers at the lady, saying she seduced him." Anna said and Nathan scoffed, unimpressed.

 "And so? You believe it?"

"You knew about this?" 

 "I know Alex ended his engagement to be with the woman he truly loves. No one was seduced; those stories are fabricated.

"You're supporting what your friend did? Elora was betrothed to him since childhood!" 

 "Mom, it's best you don't interfere. I support the truth. Alex did the right thing by following his heart, just as I did."

 "I will never support that, You two are bringing doom upon yourselves by letting those...snitches into your lives." Nathan rolled his eyes and turned to leave. 

"Where's Dad?"  

"He's at a business meeting." Josh replied and Nathan nodded and headed to his room.

 "Mom, what's wrong isn't good, big bro is old enough to know what's right." Anna said

"He doesn't know anything. They're blinded by lust, not love. They'll soon come back to their senses."Mrs. Adam's retort was swift.

    Alex stormed into the living room, his anger evident as he confronted Diva in front of their parents. 

"Diva, what you did was unacceptable. You don't fight with employees." King Luke said.

"Are you taking her side? Why is no one listening to my side of the story?" she demanded.

 "Naomi did nothing to you. You're just bitter towards her. Let this be the first and last time you pull that stunt." He warned.

 "Alex, are you listening to yourself? Diva is your sister, for heaven's sake!"

 "And Naomi is my fiancée." His voice was firm, brooking no argument.

 "I chose the truth, Diva's behavior needs to stop. She's been obsessed with her hatred towards Naomi, and it must end." Alex said.

 "He is right, Diva, you will have to stop working in the company, effective immediately." King Luke said.

 "What? Dad!" she exclaimed.her face falling in shock.

 "Exactly! You are fired." Alex said 

 "That will not happen. Why should Diva leave the company for that...wretched thing?" Queen Lala intervened.

"Do I remind you mother, that your precious daughter does nothing in the company except order people around to do the work meant for her." Alex said, sarcastically.

"She stays because it's her right."

"My words are final." King Luke said as He stood up and walked away, leaving the others in stunned silence.

   

    "Mom". Diva turned to her mother, her eyes pleading.

"Alex, what's gotten into you?" Queen Lala demanded. "Are you aware of the news trending right now?"

 "Do I look like I care, Mother?" He turned and walked away, leaving Diva and Queen Lala behind.

Diva slumped back into her chair, her face a picture of anger and resentment. Queen Lala sighed, her face a mixture of worry and frustration.

    *Mr.Daniels house*

   Naomi and Mia chatted excitedly in their room about their new phone and then the new tending online.

 "But who do you think made that post of you and Alex?" Mia asked, curiosity etched on her face.

"I have no idea, but I'm not bothered. As long as I'm not guilty of it," Naomi replied, shrugging it off. They both sighed in unison. "Are you feeling better now?" She asked.

"Yeah," Mia replied, her voice weak but reassuring.

"Maybe you should stay home tomorrow,".

"Nah, I'm fine now," Mia said, waving her hand dismissively. Naomi felt her forehead, her touch gentle. 

"You're still burning up."

"I'll be fine by tomorrow morning. Besides, the medication is working perfectly well," she said, snuggling into the bed and covering herself with the blanket.

"Are you sure you'll be fine?"she asked, Mia nodded, her eyes heavy with sleep. "Alright, if you say so. Let me go turn off the lights in the kitchen," she said, standing up and leaving the room.

In the kitchen, Naomi busied herself turning off the lights and closing the window. Suddenly, she was attacked from behind. A white handkerchief covered her nose, and she felt herself drifting into unconsciousness. She was carried out through the kitchen exit door, unaware of her surroundings.

Back in the bedroom, After some minutes, Mia waited for Naomi's return, but she didn't come. she stood up weakly and managed to step out of the room. She stumbled into the kitchen, only to find the lights on and the door open. Wondering where Naomi had gone, Mia's eyes scanned the empty space, a growing sense of unease settling in her stomach.

  "Sis," Mia called out, her voice laced with concern. Mr. Daniels emerged from his room.

"Mia, what are you doing?" he asked.

"Dad, I can't find Sis. She said she was coming to turn off the lights, and now I can't find her," Mia explained, her voice trembling.

"Where did she go if she's not here?" Mr. Daniels wondered aloud.

 "I don't know, let me look around," she replied, already starting to search.

"No, let me go. You know you're not feeling well," 

"Let's go together then," Mia insisted, and they began searching the house for Naomi. After minutes of fruitless searching, they panicked.

"Where did she go?"

"Dad, I'm scared. Hope it's not what I'm thinking," she said, her eyes wide with worry. She rushed back to the room, her heart racing.

As she entered the room, she saw Naomi's cell phone ringing on the bed. The caller ID displayed Alex's name. Mia tried to pick it up, but her hands were shaking, and the phone fell to the floor.

Meanwhile, Alex was pacing around his room, trying to reach Naomi.

 "Why isn't she picking up? Is she sleeping already? But why am I so restless?" he muttered to himself. He dialed her number again, but this time, it was switched off. "Now it's switched off?" he wondered, sighing in frustration.

Mia noticed the phone had gone blank and tried to turn it on, but it wouldn't respond. Mr. Daniels approached her in the room.

 "Dad, Alex was just calling her, but the phone fell out of my hands when I tried to answer it," Mia said, her voice shaking.

"Come on, Mia, calm down. Let's wait till morning. Maybe she went somewhere,"

"Are you sure?" 

"Yes," Mr. Daniels replied, feeling her forehead. "Your temperature is going high. Try to get some sleep," he advised, helping her lie down and covering her with a blanket. 

He turned off the lights before leaving the room, his face etched with worry. As he walked back to his room, he silently prayed for his daughter's safety.

The next morning, Naomi's absence continued to weigh heavily on Mia and her father. As they waited anxiously for any sign of her, Mia finally managed to turn Naomi's phone back on. With trembling hands, she quickly dialed Alex's number.

"Naomi, what happened? I was trying to reach you. Are you okay?" Alex asked, his voice filled with concern. However, Mia's sobbing voice pierced through the phone, and Alex's expression darkened as he listened to her frantic account of Naomi's disappearance.

Without wasting another moment, Alex rushed down from his room, yelling out for his mother. He stormed into the dining room, where his family was gathered, including Elora, who had arrived the previous night.

"Alex, what is it?" Queen Lala asked, her voice calm but laced with a hint of curiosity.

"Mom, where is she?" Alex demanded, his eyes burning with anger.  

"Son, what's going on?"King Luke looked up from his breakfast, confused

"Dad, ask Mom where she kept my fiancée,"

"What are you talking about? This is your fiancée here," she said, gesturing to Elora.

"Don't play dumb with me, Mother! I'm asking you where you kept Naomi," Alex snapped, his patience wearing thin. 

 "Son, is she missing?" King Luke asked.

"Yes, Mia called to say they couldn't find her from last night until this morning," Alex replied, his anger simmering just below the surface. 

 "What do you expect? She probably went to one of her numerous boyfriends to spend their night with," ,Diva chimed in, her voice dripping with malice.

Alex's face twisted in anger. "Just shut up if you don't have anything reasonable to say," he yelled, his patience wearing thin.

 "Alex, calm down. I'm sure Diva is right." Elora said 

"You, stay out of this!," Alex retorted, his eyes flashing with warning. 

     "Lala, is it true? Did you hide the girl?" King Luke asked, But his wife ignored him.

"Mom, I won't ask again," Alex said,  He quickly grabbed a knife from the table, and everyone flinched in fear as he held it, pointing it at his stomach.

"Alex, put that down," Queen Lala said.

"If you don't tell me where you kept her, I'll kill myself, and you'll regret this for the rest of your life!" He yelled.

 "Son, put that down." But Alex refused, 

 "No, Dad. Let her tell me where she kept my Naomi. I know she was the one who took her." he said , his voice cracking with emotion.

"Alex, please, calm down and let's talk about this." Diva said trying to calm him down.

 "What's wrong with you, Alex? Can't you see you're being manipulated by her?"Elora said 

Before anyone could say another word, Alex's anger boiled over.

 "Tell me where she is!" he retorted, raising the knife. The room erupted into chaos as everyone panicked.

"Oh, ok,I will tell you".Queen Lala's expression changed, and she quickly took her phone, dialing a number. After a brief moment, someone picked up on the other end. "Bring her over," she said, her voice cold and calculating. With that, she hung up, her eyes locked on Alex.
