Just you wait and watch, Angelo, Emily's gonna be mine, no matter what and you won't have a say in it. Wait for me, baby girl, I'm coming to get you".

Angelo stepped out of the car and Carlos parked his car behind Angelo's own and stepped out too, his hands in his pockets.

"Any news?". Angelo asked when they started walking inside, Carlos was beside him scanning through some documents. Angelo was busy on his phone.

"No, no suspicious activity from Callum, no records of him either, it's like he just disappeared into thin air". Carlos said.

Angelo stopped for a minute, then continued walking.

"Bruno will be coming today, the queen mother didn't disagree, seems like she doesn't care about him". Carlos continued.

The staff around greeted them and many of them gushed silently but dared not raise their heads.

When they got to the elevator, Rachel came rushing in.

"I'm sorry sir, i had an emergency to take care of". She bowed. Carlos narrowed his eyes but didn't say anything else, Angelo went back to whatever he was doing on his phone.

Rachel kept stealing glances at Angelo every now and then.

As soon as Angelo opened his office door, he found Simon lying down comfortably on the sofa, he was asleep but opened his eyes when Angelo came in.

"Took you long enough". Simon rolled his eyes and sat up.

"You may go". Carlos told Rachel and she sighed but nodded anyways.

"What are you doing here?". He asked.

"My brothers are out on a mission, apparently it's too 'risky' for me". Simon scoffed.

He turned to Angelo. He was standing by the window side and just viewing the city.

"You don't talk much". 

"I have nothing to say to you". Angelo said, not looking back.

"Asshole". Simon mumbled.

Angelo looked at him, his face expressionless but only one thing ran through his mind.

"Simon is just like Zade, when he was younger".

Angelo and Carlos' phone chimed at the same time.

📱 Emily didn't come to work today, personal problem but she's okay.

"I'll check it out". Carlos spoke up after he and Angelo glanced at each other. Angelo nodded.

"What's going on?". Simon asked.

"Mind your business". Both of them said at the same time and simon scoffed.

Carlos left.

"You're just like Levi". Simon started.

"Shut up". Angelo said.

"I'm an adult, I have the right to speak when I want". He retorted.

"How old are you?".

"18....". Angelo raised his brow. "In a few months". Simon muttered.

ADAMS MANSION*

Emily stayed in her room like her father said but refused to eat anything, she wasn't talking to anyone, even Ava.

They had all come in turns but she wasn't responding.

Bryan was in her house and she knew, he had been there for the past twenty minutes and when Emily stretched her ears to listen, she heard something along the lines of 'getting engaged today'.

That alone had her shrinking to the wall as if it'd save her.

After a while, she stood up and walked towards the window and that's when she noticed someone there.

Brad smiled happily at the thought of securing Emily's future and keeping her away from the 'Raging bastard'. Laura looked a little lost sometimes but would still smile.

"Are you with the engagement rings?". Brad asked and Bryan smiled widely.

"Yes sir, i bought the most beautiful and expensive ones i could find". He said.

Ava sat at a corner, not knowing what to feel.

"You two don't need to get married now, just get engaged first, then after a while, you can convince her to marry you". Brad said.

Bryan nodded, all too eagerly.

"Honey?". Brad looked at Laura and she nodded, standing up. Ava trailed behind her.

Emily took a deep breath, Carlos had come out of hiding and she'd told him what was happening, he insisted on coming inside but his temper couldn't be trusted, just like Angelo's so she would jump. 

Luckily, it's not that high and Carlos will catch her when she jumps. The window has been broken already.

"In three". Emily muttered, taking in a deep breath.

"Two".

"O..

The door knob twisted and Emily jumped without thinking.

"Em?". Laura called.

"Emily". Ava repeated, shaking frantically.

"Brad!!!!!, Emily has gone missing". Laura yelled, full on sobbing.

Emily braced herself for the impact but it never came coz Carlos swung into action and caught her before she fell.

"Thank you". She breathed out.

"I really don't want Angelo to kill me". Carlos chuckled and Emily hit his arm.

"Come on". 

Soon Carlos was driving, Emily sat in the passenger seat with her head on the window. Carlos set the car to automatic driving and brought out his phone.

"Where are we going?". Emily asked after almost an hour of driving and Angelo texting on his phone.

"Here". The car pulled up and Emily blinked. They were in front of Angelo's office.

Carlos came down first.

"Come on". He urged and she nodded before stepping out, too. 

Emily looked at her dress, it was only a green floral dress that stopped just before her knee.

"What's wrong?". 

"My dress.....

"It looks okay to me and besides it's Angelo's favorite colour". He whispered the last part.

"Can we go now?".

Emily nodded and followed him.

On their way in, Alyssa was on her way out and she locked eyes with Carlos.

"Use the elevator, the tenth floor, that's Angelo's office". Carlos said, then he glanced at Alyssa who had gone outside but was still waiting for him.

"You two don't talk?".

Emily shrugged.

"Oh and one more thing".

"What?".

Carlos removed her hair band and strode out immediately.

"What....?". Emily mumbled and watched Carlos open the car door for Alyssa. "Tenth floor". She repeated and started walking.

The office was huge and there were a lot of workers who wouldn't stop staring at her.

🗣️Who is she, a new employee?. 

🗣️ I've never seen her around before

🗣️ She's pretty....too bad she looks poor.

Emily bit her lips and walked to the elevator.

In Angelo's office, he was sitting in his chair, legs crossed against each other. He had been busy for a while now,  but even for an expert hacker like him, he still hadn't cracked the Russian mafia's database code.

He'd tried various passwords but none was working.

At the same time, he still had the company related problems to handle.

..

Ding.

The elevator doors opened and Emily came out, only to come face to face with Rachel.

"Oh...".

"It's you again". Rachel scoffed. "You still won't stop clinging to Angelo like some desperate bitch, now, you're in his office, why?". 

"Excuse me?". Emily frowned.

"Oh you're very excused". Rachel rolled her eyes and walked past her, getting into the elevator.

Emily stood there for a moment, then shook her head and went to Angelo's office. She almost didn't knock but regained herself and did.

No answer.

She knocked again and still no answer.

She decided to open the door and Angelo was actually in his office, he glanced at her when she came in and continued with his work.

ADAMS' HOUSE

Bryan roughed his hair and sighed again.

Where could Emily have gone?

"I'm sure that wicked man took my daughter again. When can we be able to live in peace again, like before?". Laura wailed.

"What if mil left on her own?". Ava chipped in.

"That's impossible. Emily will never do that". Laura snapped.

Brad just zoned them out and remained quiet. He just wished he could kill Angelo with his bare hands.

"That's it. I'm calling the cops". Bryan said. "And I'll get a restraining order against Angelo". 

"That's not even possible, that man doesn't care about the rules". Ava countered.

"But....

"We'll look for Emily ourselves and get her married to Bryan as soon as possible". Brad finally spoke up.

"But you said....

"That doesn't matter anymore, i can't let him have my precious daughter no matter what". He said to Laura.

Brad smiled.

"I think I know someone who can track him down". He said.

"You're already acting like a son in law". Brad smiled weakly.

THE MAFIA HEADQUARTERS

Carlos and Alyssa had come an hour ago to pick up Bruno and he was all too eager to leave. 

Kate sat in the poolside, just dipping her leg in the pool gently.

"How long will you avoid me?". Hades' voice snapped her out of her thoughts and she looked at him, then diverted her eyes just as quickly.

"I'm not avoiding you". She muttered.

"Just?".

"Just what?". Kate blinked.

"You're not avoiding me..just what..?". Hades rephrased.

"I can't do this to Kathy and blade, they don't deserve this, it'll break him too much and Katherine will never forgive me". Kate said.

"Don't you think you're wronging him already, you don't have feelings for him, you're only leading him on". Hades shook his head.

"I thought I liked him, I really did, i don't know what's happening....and you have Katherine, you love her Hades and she loves you, you're gonna breaking her heart". 

"Then tell me to stay away from you and I will". Hades uttered.

"What are you saying?". Kate asked.

"Exactly what I said. Tell me to stay away from you Katy and I will, I'll never even glance in your direction". Hades repeated.

"I can't....

"I'll talk to Katherine and I'll go with you to talk to blade, Katy i love you, i really do, i just never realized it and i hate it when blade calls you kitty when i had the idea first". Hades confessed, stooping beside her.

"But you told Katherine that you loved her....on that mission...".

"What's going on here?". Katherine asked and Kate immediately scooted away from Hades.

"We....

"Are just talking". Kate cut Hades off and he sighed.

"Whatever, Hades i need your help in picking out some weapons". Katherine said.

"I'm...

"Just go please". Kate mouthed to him and he sighed again and stood up.

....

Angelo looked at Emily's sleeping form, she had been asleep for three hours now and she looks so freaking adorable. Then he stood up and stood at the window side and just stared at the outskirts of the city.

Five minutes later, Emily woke up, rubbing her eyes childishly, she blinked severally to remember where she was.

"Time to go". Angelo said, not looking back at her, then started walking out of the office without waiting for an answer. That's the first word he has said to her today.

Emily immediately stood up and followed him.

As soon as they got out of the elevator, eyes turned towards them, gasps filled everywhere.

All these were said low-key though so Angelo wouldn't hear it.

Emily bent her head to avoid all the stares but it wasn't working. From upstairs, Rachel watched them with her fists tightly clenched, so much that her nails dug into her flesh.

Emily struggled to keep up with Angelo's pace but he refused to slow down or stop until they reached the gates. Emily blinked because his car was parked inside the premises.

Finn and Benjamin immediately bowed when they saw Angelo standing in front of them with Emily behind him. Then he looked at her.

"You don't expect me to tell you what to do to anyone who disrespects you". He said and Emily's eyes widened.

How did he know?

Jasper had shown Angelo the video he made of them that day when he pushed Emily to the ground.

Emily's eyes locked with Angelo's and he was dead serious. She gulped and walked towards Finn who had a horrid expression on his face. 

And then she slapped him!

Finn's head tilted to the side a bit due to the impact. Benjamin gulped fearfully, he was thanking his stars that he didn't say anything to Emily that day.

Emily stepped back and looked at Angelo but he wasn't impressed at all.

"Weak". He sneered, his hands in his pockets.

She bit the insides of her cheeks and swallowed nothing. She made to walk towards him but his next words stopped her.

"Don't make me do it for you. I hate repeating myself". 

"But I've hit him already". Emily complained and if looks could kill, she would be six feet under already.

Taking a deep breath, she turned to Finn again.

"Get a life slut". His words echoed in her head and she raised her hand, slapping him as hard as she could.

"I am not a slut!". Emily uttered. Finn's head snapped to the side and his lower lip burst, her fingerprint was imprinted on his face.

Benjamin's eyes widened ten fractions wider and Emily looked at Angelo.

She almost couldn't believe her eyes.... Angelo..... smiling?

He had a proud smile on his face and straightened up.

"You're fired. Both of you. Now take a careful look at her, you dare not ever mess with her, you feel me?". Angelo said.

Finn literally peed on himself and fell to Emily's feet, she immediately shifted back.

"I'm sorry ma'am, i swear it will never repeat itself, I've learnt my mistake, please, i don't have another job".
