After lunch, Mia and Naomi went into Naomi's room. Mia was amazed by the different portraits on every wall.

"Wow, just a month I haven't been here, and you've turned your room into a gallery," Mia teased.

"You know drawing is part of me. I draw what's in my head."

"They're beautiful. I love them." She said as she admired the artwork.

Her eyes landed on a big board covered with a white cloth. "What's that?" she asked, moving towards the board.

Before Naomi could answer, Mia removed the cloth, revealing a portrait of Alex. Mia's eyes widened in surprise.

   "Mia, let me...".

"You drew a picture of Alex!" Mia exclaimed.

 "Yeah." She said nervously.

"Oh my, this is beautiful! Why haven't you given it to him?"She picked up the portrait, amazed.

"I didn't draw it to give him. I just did it because it helps me pour out my feelings for him."

"This is amazing! He's going to love it."

"I don't know... I just can't give it to him.".She  sighed, sadness in her eyes.

"You can give it to him as a birthday gift. I heard his birthday is coming soon."

"I still can't." She said sadly and Mia sat down next to her on the bed.

"Are you going to keep it here forever? What if he sees it? Remember, he brought you home when you were drunk."

"I don't think so," Naomi sighed. "I just wish there was a way out of this."

"Me too," Mia agreed, and they both fell quiet for a moment.

"Do you want me to draw a portrait of Nathan for you?"

"Really?" she asked excitedly.

"Yes."

"Okay, I'd love it," She said, and they smiled at each other.

*********★

At Nathan's company, some workers stood in front of the elevator, waiting for it to open so they could head to their offices. The elevator doors slid open, revealing Nathan alone and looking handsome as always.

The workers were surprised to see him so early at work and hesitated to enter. Before anyone could say a word, Mia appeared, lost in thought and looking moody. She stepped into the elevator without noticing Nathan or anyone else.

The doors closed behind her, leaving her alone with Nathan. He stood behind her, intrigued by her distant look and wondering what was wrong.

Just as Nathan was about to speak, Mia's cell phone rang. She pulled it out and saw her mother's name on the screen.

"Hello, Mom," she said, answering the call.

She listened for a moment before responding, "I'm fine, Mom. I just arrived at the company."

There was another pause as her mother spoke. "Yes, everyone is fine. I'll be coming later after work to get more of my things. I think I might be staying with Naomi for a month. I just want everything to be calm permanently before coming back."

She listened again, her expression serious.

"Are you okay? Is she still angry?" her mother's voice was faintly audible through the phone. "Okay, Mom."

The elevator doors opened, and Mia stepped out, still engaged in the conversation.

As she disappeared from view, the elevator doors closed again, leaving Nathan to wonder what she was talking about and what had happened.

Nathan arrived at his office and quickly dialed Alex's number. The phone rang for a while before Alex picked up.

"Hey, bro," Alex's voice came through the phone.

Nathan got straight to the point. "Alex, did something happen between Diva and Mia in the palace two days ago?"

"Um, nothing serious, just some misunderstanding. It's fine now." He responded causally.

 "What happened?"

"You should know my sister by now. She always has the wrong impression about people. She misunderstood Mia having something to do with you when she saw her in your house." He explained,

Nathan sighed, piecing together the events.

"It's nothing to worry about, bro. It's been settled."

He nodded, even though Alex couldn't see him.

"Okay, thanks for letting me know. Talk to you later." He hung up the phone and let out a deep sigh.

Mia was still engrossed in a serious conversation with her mother, her mind preoccupied with worry. There wasn't much work on her desk, and her attention was focused on the phone call.

"Please, Mia, don't come close to the palace for now. Princess Diva has warned never to see you in the palace. Please, my child, for my sake, don't try to get close to her fiancé. I don't want anything to happen to you. Even the queen is not happy," Mrs. Ruth said on the phone.

"Mom, what do I do? I don't have anything with her fiancé. It was a misunderstanding."

"I believe you, I just want you to be careful," her mother reassured her.

"I've heard you, Mom. I'll be careful. Be safe there."

"I will, talk to you later," her mother said, and they hung up.

"What do I do now? Why is this happening to me?" she thought to herself. She let out a frustrated sigh.

Just then, her secretary knocked and entered.

"Ma'am, there is a call for you on number two," she said.

"Okay, thank you."Her eyes flicked to the phone.

Her secretary left, and Mia pressed the number two button, answering the call.

"Hello, this is Mia speaking."

"Come to my office," Nathan's voice came through the phone, making her flinch.

"Y-yes, sir," she replied nervously, her heart racing.

The call dropped, and she was left standing there, wondering why Nathan wanted to see her. She sighed, feeling a mix of confusion and apprehension.

"His office? Why is he calling me to his office? I don't want to see him. What do I do now?" she thought, feeling anxious.

After a moment's hesitation, she made her way to Nathan's office. She knocked on the door, and when she heard his voice, she slowly opened the door and stepped inside.

Nathan was leaning against his desk, his eyes fixed on the door as she entered. Mia stood near the door, her eyes fixed on him.

"You sent for me, sir," she said, trying to compose herself.

"Why are you standing so far away? Come closer." He said calmly.

Mia hesitated, then took a few steps forward.

"Mia," he called, his eyes locked on hers, but she avoided eye contact.

She pushed away from the desk, and Mia took a step back, her heart racing.

"Is there something you want, sir?" she asked, trying to sound calm despite her nervousness.

"You wanna tell me what's wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong." She said and Nathan tried to move closer, but Mia pushed back, her eyes welling up with tears. "Sir, please," she said.

Nathan stopped in his tracks, taken aback by her words and the sadness in her eyes.

"Why are you stopping me from coming close to you? Are you scared of me? Am I making you uncomfortable?"

Before Mia could respond, the door burst open, and Nathan's family walked in, shouting

 "Surprise!!!"

However, their excitement quickly turned to surprise as they spotted Mia standing in the office, looking just as shocked as they were.

"Mia," Anna exclaimed, her voice filled with surprise.

"What are you doing here? Do you work in my son's company?" Mrs. Adams asked, her eyes narrowing slightly.

"Good day, ma'am. Yes, ma'am, I work here." Mia said nervously her face bow to the ground.

 "Really?" Josh said.

"Please, I'd like to be excused." she hastily left the office, leaving Nathan and his family staring after her.

"Son, why didn't you tell me she works here?"

Nathan's eyes followed Mia's retreating figure before turning to his family.

"What are you guys doing here? Why didn't anyone tell me you were coming?"

"We wanted to surprise you."Josh grinned mischievously.

 "She works here?" Anna asked.

 "Yes, she's new here."

"Oh," Anna's response was a simple

while Mrs. Adams's face remained a mixture of unhappiness and calm.
