Elora's face darkened as Alex stood up from the bed and moved to the closet.
"I can't believe you just did that," she said,
"If you need a leg massage, there's a maid to attend to you."
"And what is she? A princess?" she spat, her tone venomous.
"Elora, that's enough. She's not a maid in this palace, and you should know that."
With that, he wore his shirt and left the room, leaving Elora seething.
Meanwhile, Naomi and Mia sat in front of their apartment, chatting quietly.
"Why did she send for you?" Mia asked curiously.
"She needed a foot massage."
"How cruel can she be? There are maids for that. Why choose you? Doesn't she know you're not a servant but a palace worker?"
"Well, it's ending soon. I just have this week to end my mystery here and tolerate them."
"Was Alex in the room?"
"Yes, he was sleeping when I walked in, but when he woke up and saw what I was doing, he asked me to leave." They both sighed.
"So, have you received any phone calls for interviews in any of the companies we submitted our CVs to?" Mia asked.
"Not yet, I just hope I get a call from any of them soon."
Just then, Naomi's cell phone rang. She brought it out of her bag and frowned at the unfamiliar number.
"Hello?" she answered firmly, picking up the call.
Mia watched with interest as Naomi's conversation progressed.
Meanwhile, Mia's own cell phone rang, and she stood up, moving a little distance away from Naomi to answer the call.
Her eyes widened in surprise as she listened to the caller. "What?" she gasped, standing up quickly in excitement.
After hanging up, Mia rushed back to Naomi, who had also finished her call.
They turned to each other, beaming with excitement.
"I have an interview this weekend!" they exclaimed simultaneously, hugging each other warmly.
"Yes, finally!"Mia pulled away, her grin still plastered on her face.
"I'm so happy! Which company called you?"
Mia's smile faltered for a moment before she replied, and they continued talking excitedly.

Meanwhile, Nathan was on a phone call with his father's manager in the company.
"Thank you, I was planning on coming tomorrow, but unfortunately, I have something urgent to do tomorrow. Thanks for responding quickly," he said on the phone, waiting for a moment before continuing.
"Good, conduct the interview well enough and employ her immediately. Have a nice day."
He hung up and sighed, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. He sat down on the bed, his mind still reeling from the conversation.
Just then, there was a knock on the door, and his father entered.
"Busy?" he asked, his eyes scanning the room.
Nathan turned to him, shaking his head. "No, Dad." His father joined him on the bed "Is there something you need?" He asked, sensing that something was amiss.
"Yes, son, don't take this the wrong way, but I want you to get engaged to Princess Diva." He said, hesitated before speaking.
"What? Dad, I thought we talked about this."
"I know, but just hear me out. I figured out that when you get engaged to Princess Diva, it will boost my votes in the election. You know how much everyone loves the royal family."
"What does that have to do with me?"
His mother entered the room, a gentle smile on her face.
"A lot, dear." She said."It's just for your father's campaign," she explained.
"But I don't want this." He said frustratedly.
"Just for the meantime." His father said.
"Meantime? How many days are we talking about? A day, three days? A week? Or a month?"
"For six months." They said.
"Six months?" He sighed, feeling a sense of desperation wash over him.
"Yes, dear. After that, it will end, and you two can go back to your normal lives. Just so you know, the royal house is aware of this." She said.
Nathan's frustration boiled over.
"Please, son, for our sake," his mother implored.
He sighed tiredly, feeling trapped by his parents' expectations.

Diva and Elora sat in the room, chatting and laughing together.
"This is the best news ever! Finally, I'm getting engaged to Nathan."
"Why are you so excited? It's not a real engagement, it's just for his father's campaign." Elora said smiling.
"I know it might be fake, but it looks real to me. Who knows? Within the space of six months, he might end up falling deeply in love with me, and then we can make it real."
"You think? Do you have a plan for that?"
"No, but with my beauty and royal status, I have it all."
They both burst out laughing, their joy infectious.
"Well, I'm happy for you. Nathan is now yours."
"Exactly! I can't wait for the weekend to come quickly."
They continued chatting and laughing.

Naomi and Mia were both dressed in their professional attire, looking confident and determined. They had been preparing for this moment for days, and finally, the day of their interviews had arrived.
As they stood at the bus station, they couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. They had submitted their resumes to several companies, and this was their first interview they had landed.
After exchanging words of encouragement, they went their separate ways, each heading to their respective interview company.
Meanwhile, the engagement ceremony between Nathan and Diva was underway in the palace. Nathan was in Alex's room, sipping from his wine glass, his expression troubled. Alex joined him, his own glass in hand.
"Do I really have to do this?" Nathan sighed.
"It's just for your dad's campaign."
"But I don't feel like I want it."
"It's just for a while. I didn't agree with it as well." He took a sip of his drink.
"Alex, we're talking about six months. Do you know how far that is?"
Alex nodded in understanding, and they both stood there, sipping their drinks in silence.
Later that day, Naomi and Mia met at the bus station, beaming with excitement after their successful interviews.
"How did it go?" they asked each other in unison.
"You go first," Naomi said, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"Mine went well. I got the position of supervisor in the sales department."
"Congratulations!" She hugged her warmly.
"What about you?"
"I was made assistant manager in the office department."
They hugged each other warmly, their joy infectious.
"Finally, we got our dream jobs," Mia exclaimed.
Naomi pulled away, her eyes sparkling. "And we're free from palace chores."
"Let's go celebrate this. So lucky I just received my salary for this month."
"Me too."
They left the bus station together, arm in arm, ready to celebrate their newfound success.
