If the initial silence in the hall was deafening, this one is paralyzing.

The fall of a needle would surely be heard right now, and everyone looks deeply shocked including the other Sergeants, even Allegra herself.

Sergeants are respected like gods here, and the fact that Axel is the General's son makes him more feared, but now it seems like a lie cos she didn't only just disrespect him, she also belittled him.

"Repeat that, I dare you" Axel said, walking to Allegra and taking the belt in her own trousers too.

He joined it with his own belt, and the metal part of the two belts were dragging on the ground as he walked towards Teal who stood her ground without moving.

"Do you have hearing problem? I'm not wasting my energy to repeat any fuckin thing, but the belts you're coming for should better not be for me" she muttered defiantly.

Some of the new recruits gasped on their seats, covering their mouths with their palms.

Brent's eyes are the widest...she must be the Battery Rook talked about.

"Her fearlessness irritates me. She thinks she's special, i just hope she gets wounded today. This is not Kalynda where you have your useless uncles to save you, it's a military base, bî+ch" Morgan muttered from her seat.

"Tell me about it, the fact that she's close to Rook is even more irritating. I don't care if he's gay, I just don't want them around each other" Stormy muttered too.

By now, Axel is about to get to Teal, and she's still not moving or apologizing.

Rook quickly jumped over a table and ran fast steps to her.

"I heard he's the General's second son. Apologize and say it's a slip of tongue before he gets here" he quickly said.

"Slip of tongue? Do you see okra on my tongue? I'm not bending for him! Look what he did to your steel body! If it was ordinary belt, you wouldn't bleed, I'm sure there are metals in the belt and that's why you're bleeding! Apologize? Take my life instead" she firmly replied.

"Please...for my sake. Just go on your damn knees" Rook tried to push her to her knees, but she broke free, pushing him away.

At the same time, Axel got to them.

"Repeat what you said" he ordered, his expression acidic like he wants to set her on fire and take her ashes as morning tea.

"Make me" Teal replied, and Sergeant Kash sat in front of the hall, loving this drama.

"I'll kill that bî+ch" Allegra mumbled.

"Bi+çhes like you should never get the opportunity to step into this base. I'll make you bleed, then waybill your body back to your hometown" Axel said, raising the two belts at the same time.

Teal smiled joyously, expecting the belt to land on her skin. She'd make him bleed gallons.

Rook gasped, but before the belts could land on Teal's body, General Pedro entered the hall with several other Sergeants who're escorting him.

Axel's hand went down immediately, and Allegra stopped walking.

She was actually already coming to the front before the General came in.

They all stood at tension with the rest of the supervision Sergeants

"Welcome sir!" They saluted respectfully.

"What's with the two belts?" General Pedro faced Axel who's still sweating.

"It's nothing, dad. We were just about to start the exams" Axel replied.

"During duty, I'm your General, only call me dad when we're behind closed doors! Do I have to remind you about the rules always?" General Pedro glared.

"It's nothing, General. We were just about to start the exams" Axel corrected himself.

General Pedro looked around the hall, and when his eyes caught Rook's bloodstained shirt, he knew maltreatment happened.

He rolled his eyes to Teal, and he immediately recognized her as the betrothed wife.

He acted normal anyways, then he faced Rook again.

"Explain the blood on you" he said.

"Sir, it's nothing..." Allegra started talking, but Pedro raised his hand to shut her up, and she stopped.

"Sir"

"What's a Specialist doing in the exam hall? Last time I checked, only Sergeants supervise" Pedro said.

"Axel made her join us" Kash spoke.

"Make corrections, right now!" Pedro ordered huskily, and Allegra left the hall very fast.

"I'm still waiting for your explanation" Pedro faced Rook for the third time.

"We came late cos we had trouble finding this hall, and I explained to him, but he wouldn't listen. He lashed me with the belt" Rook simply explained.

Pedro faced Axel whose face is down, and the man came closer.

"And you're still not agreeing with me that Four is more capable than you? He'd never maltreat" he said.

"Yes he doesn't maltreat, but admit it. Four has no human feelings, I'm the better brother" Axel replied.

Pedro placed an hand on his shoulder.

"If no human feelings means he's unconventionally strong, then so be it" he said, facing Kash.

"Get the wounded one to the clinic after this exam" he said.

"Yes sir!" Kash replied, and Pedro left the hall with his escorting sergeants.

Kash gave the three latecomers their answer booklets and question papers, then he directed them to their seats...far from each other.

Brent in the front, Rook in the middle, and Teal at the far back.

Axel gave Teal a look full of hate, then he left the hall in anger.

Only five Sergeants are left to supervise, and they're more than enough.

Even if it's only Sergeant Kash, he's more than enough since he's incredibly smart.

The exam finally started, and the pen of everyone began moving on their booklets as they wrote.

For the first several minutes, Teal wrote nothing.

She's busy staring into space, but there's a battle inside her head.

Should she write? Or should she not?

She has read all the questions, and the answers are playing in her skull, she only needs to write.

If not because of anything, but because of Rook.

Rook is strong. In fact, he's almost as strong as her cos he was trained by his parents, but he's big on this respect shit.

His morals is too much, and he's not the type to disrespect seniors, so if she leaves him in here, Allegra and Axel would ruin him.

She has to stay, for him.

She has to pass this exam and protect him from the two villains.

She took her pen and opened her answer booklet, then she began writing.

No break, no stop, till she filled up that answer booklet.

"Extra sheet!" She shouted, and Sergeant Kash passed one to her.

Within another fifteen minutes, she filled up that one too.

"Extra—"

Before she could say sheet, Sergeant Kash already placed another answer booklet on her desk.

"Thanks" she said, returning to writing.

Rook looked back at her, smiling when he saw how serious she is.

Did she finally change her mind?

Why?

'What's that bî+ch writing?' Morgan thought as she dropped her pen. She has finished her own work.

'Acting like she's the only one in here' Stormy thought, glaring at Teal as she dropped her own pen too. She's done.

The exams ended ten minutes later, and their answer booklets were taken row by row.

"It's the end of the activities for today. This batch is the last batch of recruits for this year" Sergeant Kash announced.

"Thank gawd!" Rook massaged his own shoulder.

"You can have the rest of today to yourselves, but today might be the last resting day you have, cos as from tomorrow, things gets more chaotic, starting from trainings" Kash addressed again.

"Sir, but we're all trained already" Brent stood.

"You know how to detonate a bomb? You know how to use a machine gun? Grenade?" Kash replied with a glare, and Brent sat back.

"Sorry sir" he muttered.

"You all are only trained on physical toughness, so you'll receive three days additional training on weapons, durability, and escapism, starting tomorrow" Kash said.

"Fair enough" Teal spoke.

"Ladies with long hair, hit the salon and have them cut tomorrow" Kash addressed again, and Teal spranged up with wide eyes.

"What!!"

[Master Sergeant Unit]

As expected, the unit is big as fûck, and it rivals a suite cos it's very much furnished and designed with sleek colour brown.

Starting from the living room, to the small kitchen, to the bedroom, to the bathrooms...it matches.

On the kitchen cabinet, a wet pile of coffee bean sat on top of a sieving machine, and warm coffee is dripping from it into the cup below the appliance.

Four entered the kitchen, disposing the bland coffee pile and carrying the brown cup of coffee.

He was sipping with his other hand in his pocket as he walked out of the kitchen, and he wasn't amazed to see his father just entering the living room.

Pedro has a smile on his face, and he hugged the young man tightly.

"I knew you're already here, I could feel your presence" he said.

Four broke the hug and sat, gently dropping his cup of coffee.

"Have you seen her in person? Your potential wife?" Pedro asked, sitting too.

"Walked past her on the lawn, that's all" Four replied, and Pedro inched closer.

"So what do you think? Beauty with power, right?" He said, but Four stayed neutral as usual.

Pedro adjusted back on his seat.

"I guess I can now announce her to the armies as your betrothed. She should be respected, and you should move to the Family Housing with her. Take her out of the barracks" he said.

"Funny how you think I want a wife" Four replied, pushing the cup of coffee away with a his index finger and allowing it to shatter on the ground for no damn reason.

The brown coffee flooded the ground, and Pedro frowned.

"What do you mean?"

Four's chin lifted like it does when he's trying to express something icky.

"I came here to eliminate her and dominate her nightmares, not to take her." He calmly said, standing and going inside.

"Geez" Pedro stood, exiting the unit.

Getting to his office, he dialled Yulia's line...

"My General" Yulia's lively voice boomed.

"Love at first sight my foot, there's nothing like that" Pedro replied.

"Seriously?" Yulia gasped.

[Specialists Quarters, Allegra's Room]

Allegra and Axel are in front of a laptop, both searching through the list of new recruits, and they both look restless.

They didn't stop tapping the poor laptop buttons till Teal's profile and info appeared on the screen.

Teal Ambrose from Kalynda.

Dead parents,

Two Uncles,

Started training at 6,

Strong fighting techniques.

"So this is all she has? She's not from affluent families like the other recruits? And she's as arrogant as that? What exactly is pushing her?" Allegra said, shutting down the laptop.

"Calm down, dad will have a month off from the base once Four shows up, and by then, she'd crawl" Axel replied.

"Can I really wait till General leaves the base? F+ck, I can't stand her...I have to do something" Allegra muttered, chewing her nails impatiently.

A knock sounded on the door, and she went to open up with a glare.

It's Cassie, standing there with a glare too, and she's with Shannon.

"Slapping my sister should be your last mistake, Allegra. Display your lunatism somewhere else" Cassie said.

Allegra folded her arms on her chest, scoffing.

"Oh... I see how it is. She's your sister? And you didn't tell her makeup and earrings aren't allowed here?"

"She's a newbie, and she takes corrections! You could have just corrected her softly and she'd listen! But slapping her and making her kneel for hours? So uncalled for. I should have told Kash, but I know he hates you and hell would break lose, so I'm gonna keep it low. Be warned" Cassie replied, and Allegra laughed.

"Who do you think you are? You're not a specialist nor a sergeant or new recruit. You're not part of the army at all! The only title you hold here is Sergeant Kash's wife, and you think you can bash me cos of your slutty sister? Huh?" She went closer.

"Slutty?" Cassie went closer too.

Axel stepped in at this point, pulling Allegra back.

Shannon also pulled Cassie back.

"Sis, calm" she muttered.

"She's sorry, ok?" Axel told Cassie.

"Bull" Cassie rolled eyes and pulled Shannon away with herself.

Axel watched Cassie's backside—the ass, for one long minute before going back inside to meet Allegra.

"Did you just say sorry on my behalf? When did that stupidity start?" She said.

"Look, i've had enough headaches for today, I was only preventing another!" Axel snarled.

"Oh you think you're the only one with headache? My head is literally pounding cos everything is pissing me off, but at least I have someone to vent my anger on" Allegra replied, leaving the unit.

Axel followed her, and they left that vicinity completely, going to the enclosed pavilion at the far end of the base.

They had to take Allegra's bike since it's far from the main buildings. The base is too wide.

Getting to the enclosed pavilion, Allegra didn't bother taking off her helmet before starting to walk towards the iron gate.

Axel followed her.

"You're not gonna go see your so-called brother?" She asked through her helmet, opening the pavilion gate with a pocket remote.

"So-called? Watch your mouth, and I'm gonna go see him tomorrow morning" Axel replied.

Allegra sneered, and they entered the pavilion together.

--

[Cantonment]

Cantonment is the area surrounding the military base, and there are civilians who stay there to attend to the needs of the armies.

Small boutiques, salons, clinic, mall, grocery stores, Bazaar supermarkets.

Every ancillary service you can think of is available.

Rook came to the cantonment to get treated at the clinic, and it's already done, so he's currently returning to the base with Brent and Rook.

"I can't believe you actually faced off to Sergeant Axel earlier, that's massive" Brent said in admiration.

"And you just stood there shivering despite your muscles. Are you sure you have a d+ck at all?" Teal replied.

"Big one" Brent replied, and Teal rolled eyes which made Rook laugh.

His laughter seized again when he saw Theo...the guy he saw at the barracks earlier.

He's walking alone, looking wrapped in his hoodie.

He was about to go meet him when Brent pulled him back.

"I told you...he doesn't talk to anybody, you'd only disgrace yourself" he said.

"Wait... Rook likes him?" Teal stood in front of the two.

"Why not? He's hot" Rook replied, and Teal began walking to Theo.

"Battery!" Rook gasped.

"Oh..no" Brent turned his back.

Teal blocked Theo, pointing her gloved hand forward.

"Hey...my best friend likes you. His name is Rook. Rook Fletcher" she did the intro in full, pointing at Rook.

Theo just turned around and left the other way without looking at Rook.

"He's hopeless, uncrush your crush on him if there's a word like that" Teal said, joining the guys.

"Our Intelligence exams results will be pasted tomorrow morning, then the ones who pass will receive their uniforms and rulebooks, and we'll have a bonfire welcoming night where the squad members will be introduced to the Master Sergeant. We're meeting Snowman tomorrow and I can't fuckin wait. I already admire him without seeing him" Brent said.

"Ladies with long hair are also cutting their hair tomorrow" Rook stylishly said.

"If you're referring to me, then no one is touching my hair" Teal replied.

It was already late evening when they arrived at the barracks, but it's empty.

Both the male and female barracks.

They got a tip that everyone already went to the communal dinning hall, so they made their ways there.

As expected, It's so full, and the armies are 400+.

The crowd is choky, and the noise is even louder than it is in the rooms.

"This base has to be the worse, can't they have like two communal halls?" Teal muttered.

"Togetherness, remember?" Rook replied.

"Togetherness" Brent said, and Teal scoffed.

"I'll get us flatbreads" Brent said, joining the queue for flatbread.

"By the way, I'm dying to see your potential husband...Snowman" Rook said.

"I'm not married. I don't have a husband. I only came here to join the military, not marry a number. He can go to hell wherever he is" Teal replied.

"I'll get us stew and chicken" Rook said, joining a different queue.

"I'll get the drinks" Teal joined the drinks line.

"Hey!" A familiar voice hollered, and she turned around to see Sierra, the snobbish-looking lady from her barracks room earlier.

"You should join the tea line instead. The warm winter tea here is good" Sierra smiled, then she left.

"I don't like her" Teal muttered.

Juice is already finished when it was her turn, so she got the tea instead.

Using texts on her phone, she located Rook and Brent, and the three settled on a table.

No table is empty, so there are already some people on that table, but they sat anyways.

"You were talking to Sierra" Brent said.

"You know her?" Teal blinked.

"She's Sierra DeVille. Daughter of the General, but Lady Yulia isn't her mother. She's from a different mother" Brent explained.

"You know too much for a newbie" Rook said.

"I just like making researches"  Brent shrugged.

"Whatever, I don't like her. She's kinda annoying" Teal said, drinking from her tea.

The energy tea is really good.

"If you think she's annoying, then you haven't met Abel. Abel is the arsehole of this base" Brent said.

"Interesting" Rook nodded, and Brent suddenly stood.

"I'll do a quick explanation of hierarchy here, so listen good, I'll only do it once" he said.

Teal and Rook looked up at him as he climbed the table.

"The General is the boss here, followed by the Master Sergeant Snowman who's still unknown, then the Senior Sergeants like Axel and Kash... followed by Specialists like Allegra and April" he explained.

"Then followed by we...the junior new recruits. But by tomorrow if we pass the Intelligence exams and get uniforms, our title changes to Privates... I can't wait to start getting called Private Brent" Brent continued.

Teal and Rook just stared at him like he's spitting shenanigans.

"And there was a squad last year, led by Sergeant Axel" Brent said and jumped down before continuing.

"But they all died in the terrorist attack, only four of them escaped, and the four are... Sergeant Axel, Specialist Allegra, Specialist April" he explained.

"So who's the fourth person?" Teal asking.

"He's suspected to be working with the terrorists, so he has been locked in the enclosed pavilion where he suffers like hell everyday in the hands of Allegra" Brent replied.

"Can we just eat? I need to sleep early" Teal said.

"Fineee... I'll stop my gist, let's eat" Brent sat.

"You really look like someone with a small D" Teal teased.

"It's big, you wanna see it?" Brent spranged up.

"I don't have to see it. Small D guys are easy to recognize" Teal replied.

"Teal!" Brent glared, and Rook laughed.

"So am I the only small D guy here? Point out another" Brent said frustratingly.

"Next male to sit on this table has a small one" Teal replied.

"Ok" Brent said, and the three concentrated back on eating.

It has barely been a minute when a male sat with them on that table, but he's not with a tray of food

He's with a small bottle of gin which he's sipping, and he looks normal in his casual mufti and brown cap.

If there's anything noticeable about him, it's his buff ripped arms... he's huge, and so s+xy.

His lips are wet as he sipped from the gin again.

"He's the one with the small d1ck?" Brent asked loudly, pointing at him.

"It's obvious" Teal replied, drinking from her tea, but she could smell cigarettes and Tom Ford in the air.

Is he the same guy who walked past her at the lawn?

He covered his gin, and his eyes met with hers when he looked her way.

He's highly unreadable, like he's keeping a lot inside and his eyes are the gates. So secretive, yet spiteful.

"Small c+ck?" He spoke, his voice holding a edge of rasp.

"Yeah, you fit into the category... you're welcome" Teal mindlessly replied, and he stood, walking off.

His back view is just like the one Teal saw earlier, meaning it's him, but who cares?

"You should be careful, what if he's one of the special ops?" Rook said.

"Special ops my foot, with his mufti?" Teal replied.

Rook and Brent just went silent.

--

[Next Morning, Female Barracks~Room4]

The loud barracks bell woke Teal up, and she snuggled deeper into her pillow instead of standing up.

The bell continued sounding, so she covered her ears with her pillow, hating it so much.

After dinner last night, she came to sleep straight as she was tired, but now it's only 7am and the bell is already clanging?

Gawd!!

She pushed the pillow away from her ears when the bell wouldn't stop ringing, then she sat up in bed, seeing all the ladies are already in their towels, rushing out of the room with their toiletries bag.

Teal got her towel from her bag and went down the bunk using the short staircase.

She stripped and tied her towel around her chest.

"By tomorrow, the bell will start ringing at 5am, and it'd grow worse" her lower bunkmate said, and she frowned.

She's there? The bad luck Sierra talked about?

Teal bent her body to look at her, and she was surprised to see it's April, the second Specialist.

Why is a Specialist living in the barracks and not in the specialists unit like Allegra?

"Hey, toughie" April smiled.

"Yeah" Teak replied awkwardly, grabbing her toiletries bag and leaving the room for the bathroom.

Getting to the bathroom, it's another scenario.

Ladies are bathing together too.

There are so many people in the bathroom...one wide bathroom!

Teal is seeing various b00bs and pussies, different shapes and curves.

She couldn't believe her eyes.

"I've had enough of this shit!" She stepped back and was about to leave when Sierra blocked her nakedly.

"It's still better now, it's not even that crowded yet, so it's better you take your bath now" she said.

"It's still better now with so many ladies in here? You've gotta be kidding me" Teal replied.

"Believe me" Sierra smiled, and Teal faced the full bathroom again.

Hardening her bones and cringing, she choose a corner where she boldly took off her towel, getting baked.

She opened the shower on herself, then she got her facial and body wash, but the moment she rubbed the facial wash on her face, her hair was grabbed from behind, and her head was slammed on the wall.

For the first one minute, Teal couldn't process anything since there's lather in her eyes, so she can't open the eyes. Pains shot through her skull.

"Get out everybody, and shut the doors!" Allegra's voice ordered, and that was alone to wake Teal up.

She came all the way from her unit to the female barracks bathroom just to fight her?

Everyone ran out of the bathroom, and Allegra pulled Teal away from under the shower so the water won't wash the soap lather away from her eyes.

"In this base, after the General, fear me!" Allegra shouted, wanting to slam Teal's head on the wall again, but Teal resisted hard.

She pulled back, and Allegra punched her in the stomach twice. Deadly killer punches which made her trip, topple, and fall.

Fine... Allegra is insanely strong, but she probably hasn't heard about her.

Allegra picked the bottle of body wash and slammed it on Teal's head before kicking her in the abdomen.

Teal's n@ked body rolled down the other side of the bathroom, and she smiled, opening her eyes despite the peppery soap sting.

She jumped to her feet, swinging her hair back before nodding.

"You're strong, I'll give you 2 over 10, no shades" she said.

"Biich, you think a hillbilly like you can come here and germinate? Nah, I'll trample over you again and again till you die with your pride! I am what you should fear" Allegra replied, bolting towards her again.

Teal stood her ground, unshaken.

She shifted her gaze to Allegra's legs, silently calculating her steps.

She's taking three steps per seconds, meaning it'd take four seconds and twelve steps to get to her.

She didn't make any move till Allegra took the eleventh step, then she shifted back a bit, giving herself some space before raising her leg up.

Her n+kedness helped, and the leg stretched to the toes.

Allegra didn't see it coming, till Teal's skillful toes slammed on her throat, and it forced blood out of her mouth.

Allegra staggered back, falling on the bathroom ground and slipping over.

The toes slam will make her weak and powerless for three minutes, so Teal wasted no time.

She pulled her up and slammed her head callously on the wall just the way she did to her, but she gave her generous bonuses cos she slammed it thrice.

Allegra screamed like a bî+ch, shaking the bathroom stall so it's foundations and roots.

Teal punched her in the face many poisonously unhealthy times, and all Allegra could do is...

"Urgg!! Urgg!!!"

She could only groan.

Teal suddenly let go of her, then she tied a wet towel to herself.

She picked the body wash bottle and dragged Allegra's body to one of the doors.

She opened it and threw Allegra out to the crowd of ladies in the corridor.

Every eyes dilated, and mouths equally came wide.

Especially Sierra's and April's.

Teal stepped out of the bathroom too,  soaked and dripping with the shower waters. Steam is oozing out of her skin, and she looks lethargic.

"Y'all didn't pay for this cinematic experience, but consider it a gift from me, and if anyone has Sergeant Axel's number, call him to come join the fun" She said with a loud smirk.

Then she opened the bodywash bottle and went on a knee beside Allegra's body.

She forced her mouth open and poured the body wash liquid inside.

EVERY F+CKIN DROP.

TBC.
