Teal's face is makeup-free, but her lips has a slight shade of brown lipstick, and immediately they pecked Four, the lips appeared on his cheek, looking like a stamp mark—a claim.

Rough fury contoured Four's eyes, settling in the orbs before extending to his whole face like he just got touched by a plaque.

Teal balanced back on her two-inch heel, her tricky smile still twisting on her face. She's still holding his arms.

Four handed the letter to Sergeant Kash, and Kash had to catch it on his chest before it could fall.

"Handle it" he hoarsely told him without taking his eyes away from Teal.

His eyeballs are releasing fireballs—metaphorically.

"Sure sir" Kash replied, and then Four grabbed Teal by the wrist, so tight that she felt it in her wrist bones, but she didn't make a pained sound as he dragged her down the stairs.

"The hell are you taking me!" She ranted.

"You can either keep quiet and fuckin follow me, or keep this madness up and your uncles will have to pay for it!" Four threatened, and she instantly pulled her wrist away from his brutal hold.

"What do you mean my uncles?" She demanded with parted lips.

"They run a joint business in your hometown, don't they? They sell illegal guns and poisonous knives. Their rizzhouse is located at the underground of your Ranch in your hometown." He angrily replied, and this time...she couldn't stop her own eyes from coming wide.

The illegal business of her uncles have been veiled from the public for years. Only her and her uncles know about it—and their exclusive customers.

Even Rook—her best friend is unaware, so how...

How did this ruthless number Four find out?

"I don't have to leave this base, i only need to make one damn call and your uncles will be arrested by rogue cops, so just follow, or I'll hurt you so bad and you'll love it" he continued. His tone is sharper now.

He grabbed her wrist again. This time, she didn't fight—she didn't struggle.

She followed.

Immediately they left the field, the tension and shock in the air shattered, splattering on everyone.

Stormy is still at her initial spot, mouth wide.

Allegra is shaking, for real.

And Sierra? Her palms are rounded into small balls, and her burgundy nails are digging into her palm flesh.

"You're smiling? You knew about this?" Brent faced Rook.

"Yup, gist you later" Rook replied, and Brent shook his head, a large smile endowing his face.

Shannon and April stuck hands with joy, and the noise died down as fast as it came.

Amidst all the different reactions from everyone, Axel seems to be affected by something else entirely.

It's the first time he'd be hearing about the husband and wife shit.

Accepted.

Teal came back in a grand style after Four stepped her down.

Accepted.

The real ssue in his head right now is that...

When Four was leaving earlier, he handed over to Kash instead of him.

How the f+ck does that make sense?

He's the brother, not Kash, so why does Kash get to act in Four's place instead of him??

He swung his own fist to the wall, blowing it so hard that his knuckles bursted and bled deep red.

"Axe!" Allegra gasped, but he just rushed down the stairs, the blood from his knuckles forming decimal trails on the ground.

"Axe!" Allegra rushed after him.

Sierra's goth smile returned to her face, accompanied by a deep smirk as  she folded her arms on her chest.

"Husband? Wife? Seriously?"

Sergeant Kash opened the letter, and the silence in the field froze.

"Plaka, in the suburbs. There's a public primary school there for the less privileged, that's his next target" Kash read out.

"Less privileged kids? He's targeting less privileged kids this time? What!" Rook said, his voice a burning blunt of rage.

"Usman is a terrorist from the depths of abyss, they call him The Beast for a reason" Sergeant Kash retorted, his jaws clutching.

Obviously, he's angry too.

"He's attacking tomorrow by noon, so we have to be on the bus to Plaka early in the morning." He said, then he began reading out the names of squad members who'd be going...

Rook, Shannon, Stormy, Theo, Brent, Morgan, Abbey, April...

Immediately he called April's name, Axel came back upstairs, locking Kash by the collar of his uniform.

"April was my former squad member, what are you saying!" He spat.

Kash elbowed him away, and Axel staggered back. The blood from his knuckles already stained Kash's polo.

"Snowman collated the names, so if you need someone to fight, go fight him, shit!" He spat back.

Axel went back downstairs, his steps heavy and fast.

Sergeant Kash continued calling the names, and even after calling fifty names, Sierra's name didn't sound.

Angrily, she left the field too.

[Master Sergeant's Unit]

Four took Teal to his lounge, and his breaths are dragged but regulated as he let go of her.

Teal thought it was over, but it was far from it cos he spun her around and held her neck from behind, his chest pressing her back as his fingers digged into her neck skin.

"You should buy a belt for my neck, that'd be fancier than your hand. I hate when you touch my neck, but yunno what? Keep it up, I'm only allowing you cos it's the only thing you can do to me anyways" she said, and he harshly folded his palm on her throat, causing her breaths to zip.

"They weren't wrong, your arrogance is peaking, but try not to flaunt it in front of me. I don't like the sight of you, but with your pride combined? It's irritating" He blew up, and she swallowed, but the saliva didn't go down her throat cos of his chokehold.

"You think the sight of you is not disgusting too? I only came back as your wife cos I still wanna be a part of the squad, not because I actually want you, so if you're getting weird ideas, discard them to your trash. You're just a normal man to me, and the thing about my uncles? Go ahead, but yunno what? Even if the cops ransack the ranch, they won't find anything, my uncles are always guided" she said with a little smile.

Four let go of her with a push, and she lurched forward, but she was able to balance, taking off her heels and raising her lips corner at him.

Only two steps is between them right now, but none is ready to cross.

"And I won't ask why my parents paintings are in your secret room again, I'll find out by myself" she said breathlessly.

"You'll get badly scathed,...I'll hurt you so fatally, and you'll thank me for hurting you" Four promised, all his facial features scuffling.

Teal took one step closer, leaving a thin gap between them which looks like a world apart.

"I'm Teal Ambrose, I bow for no man" she whispered, and then she's walking out of the room, but she looked back at a point.

"Your parents already agreed that I joined the squad, and I was able to comeback thanks to them. Also, I'll be staying in the second suite at the Family Housing from now on. You don't have to join me, I'll live alone as a married woman, and when I finally bring the terrorists to their knees, I'll divorce you" she said, finally leaving and slamming the door.

Immediately she left, Axel came in, boiling like crazy.

"What do you mean April is in your squad?" He questioned.

"I wanna be alone, Axel" Four replied calmly, almost in a dead tone.

"April belongs to me! You know her IQ is 100, she was the most brilliant in my squad so I'm gonna need her whenever we get reinstated! Why must you take her into your squad when there's Sierra!" Axel yelled.

"She was the most brilliant in your squad, and you cherish her so much that you locked her boyfriend up in the pavilion since August?" Four glared piercingly.

"Skye worked with the terrorists! He was their informant!" Axel yelled again.

"And where the hell is your evidence! Bring me a damn evidence that he was their informant!" Four blew up again, his eyes madly red.

Axel went silent at this point.

"I wanna be alone" Four said.

"Bro..." Axel came closer.

"Get out!!" Four yelled, and Axel flinched. He bit his lip deeply, it bled, then he stepped out.

As he's stepping away, Sierra came in.

"Out" Four flatly said.

"Are you really a couple with Teal?" Sierra said.

"I don't have an answer for you, out" he moodily replied, and she scoffed.

"I hate you, like shit" she nodded twice and left.

Four entered his Peace room and shut the door on himself, taking his time to stare at the paintings on the wall, especially the big dipper painting.

It's his favorite.

He stood in front of the star painting and touched it with his right hand, caressing the strokes and inklings.

On every Ambrose family painting, there's their hidden signature—a black butterfly.

It's on every painting in this room, and as he stared.

He quit staring after he has calmed down a bit, then he dug out his phone and dialled his mother — Yulia.

"Hello, giant spider" Yulia's jocose voice boomed.

"Where did the permission come from? You know what I'm talking about" Four asked, walking out of the room with inched shoulders. He swiped his tongue over his upper lip.

"Her uncles gave her our contacts. Don't be surprised, she has your phone number too. She called some hours ago, saying you stepped her down, and she needed permission to go back to the base and move to the Family Housing second suite, and we granted her. She's our daughter-in-law anyways" Yulia replied.

"Are you starving for a daughter-in-law that bad? And it had to be her? I wanna strangle her, choke her to death anytime I set my damn eyes on her, and you had to chose her? Not in this world, not in the next, and not in the afterlife. We can't be." Four deadass said.

"What exactly is the problem? Have you met her before? Where's this dislike coming from?" Yulia questioned.

"Ah.." Four smirked, his chin doing the thing. "It's called knowing where you belong, and her? Our lines can never meet. I don't plan on getting married, so whatever I fuckin do to her, don't say I lack empathy in the future" he muttered and clicked red.

He calmly dropped the phone, peeled off his uniform and entered the bathroom, opening cold shower on his tensed muscles.

Maybe it's hightime he visited the pavilion.

--

[Axel's Unit]

Axel turned his Unit upside down already, and he's still on the spree.

His bleeding knuckles is one thing, but his bleeding lip is another as a result of the hard bite he gave it.

"GET OUT!!" Four's voice echoed in his medulla, and he flung the pillows away from the mattress, panting like he partook in a marathon.

Allegra came in, and her mouth circled when she saw the chaos.

She quickly held Axel's face with gentleness, nodding slowly at him.

He tried breaking away, but she held still...

"Look at me, Axe. Calm down, this isn't you" she said in a bid to calm him, but Axel rewarded her with a stinging slap, and she fell off him—to the bed.

"Calm down? Do I look like it? Do I?" Axel thundered, and she stood with a burning coloured cheek.

"You could have just said that instead of the slap, abusive bastard!" She swung him her middle finger and rushed out.

--

[Family Housing, Second Suite]

Teal moved in for real.

She brought her things straight from the car, arranging it in the bedroom in the style she prefers.

It's a couple suite, so there's still enough space even after she finished arranging her things.

Four's stuffs are meant to occupy the remaining space, but he's never gonna come, and she's even more comfortable with it.

At least, she'd have her alone time and have her own personal bathroom.

Heavy on PERSONAL.

She came back to the living room after she finished up, and as expected, she met the four.

Rook, Brent, Shannon and April.

"I'm still in shock" Shannon said.

"Me too, I can't believe you're actually Snowman's wife" April blinked.

"If it's a dream, then I wanna die here. I mean...if my friend is Snowman's wife, then he should be lenient with me, right?" Brent said, and Rook swat his arm.

"Don't be silly, they don't even like each other" he said.

"What!" Shannon and Brent chorused.

"What was that show for then?" April asked.

"I needed something to take me back here, so I used the wife card. I have his parents line, so I called for permission, and I went for a glow up at a random store, simple as sin" Teal shrugged, sitting on the couch.

"Love ain't involved? I'm disappointed" Shannon muttered, and Teal smiled without feeling it.

April's phone chimed, and after che checked her texts, she rushed out of the suite without telling anyone her destination.

"I'll go check on her" Shannon went after her.

"Now that the chefs will be bringing your own meals to this place, it'll be boring at the communal dinning without you" Brent said.

"I'll still come for my meals at the communal dinning hall, I'm not eating here alone" Teal replied.

"You're the best!" Brent gushed, and Teal grinned.

"See you later, Battery" Rook winked, then he pulled Brent away.

The smile on Teal's face fell off as if she knew someone sour was coming, cos Sierra came in instantly.

"Eyesore" she muttered.

Sierra looked around the living room, smirking before facing her.

"You know what's pathetic? The fact that you'll live here alone. Four has no plans for marriage. His ring isn't on your finger and will never be, so you might wanna bring down your ego. You're not his wife" she said.

Teal stood tall.

"The moment you ended up being Allegra's friend, I knew you'd be a greater problem. But i always have my way with problems, I'll weed you" she said.

Sierra chuckled. "You still came back with that pride?"

"The way everyone keeps saying I'm prideful in this place is entertaining, makes me wanna grow wings and fly" Teal smiled.

"Hello here!" Cassie came in, and Sierra rolled eyes.

"What are you doing here, Sierra?" Cassie questioned.

"Oh please" Sierra sneered. "Kash's wife is the only position you hold here, so don't even talk whenever I'm on! Or I'll kill you, and I won't give your poverty-stricken family the opportunity to see your corpse cos I'll gift it to vultures" she stated.

Shooting Teal a tearing stare, she finally left the suite.

"Avoid Sierra, she's bad news" Cassie faced Teal.

"I don't want to" Team replied, and Cassie laughed.

"My suite is at the back of this one, so I just came to say hi since we're not far from each other" she said.

"It's fine, I've already settled down. Thanks though" Teal said.

"I heard it's a loveless stuff, you and Snowman?" Cassie probed.

"Love is overrated, money is bae" Teal shrugged, and Cassie smiled awkwardly.

"I left Kash's dinner on the gas, I should return. And you should smart-lock your doors all the time, it's a tip" she said.

"Sure" Teal replied, and Cassie rushed out, leaving Teal in utter loneliness.

She fell back on the couch, staring up at the colourful chandeliers.

"Uncle Dave, Uncle Paul, your lady just got a temporary home" she mumbled, rubbing her fingers sleazily on the couch surface.

She suddenly remembered how April rushed out earlier, so she got up and left the suite in search of her.

--

[Sergeant Kash's Unit]

Cassie turned off the gas immediately she arrived at the kitchen, and she backed the cabinet, gulping as Teal's words burned her chest...

"Love is overrated, money is bae"

She pondered over it for minutes, then she took off her necklace and checked it out on her palm.

It's truly losing it's spark, and the wedding ring on her finger is starting to fade too—true to Axel's words.

She heard the door opening, and she rushed to the living room, smiling when she saw it's Kash.

"You said you were gonna be late preparing for tomorrow's mission" she said.

"I wrapped it up early, then I visited the store to get you a new necklace." He said, bringing a small box out of his pocket.

He opened it, revealing a thin necklace with a small diamond pendant—so small that it's almost invisible.

It's probably the cheapest in the jewelry store.

Cassie looked at him with a tight smile. "Thank you" she muttered, and he fixed it on her neck.

[Female Barracks]

The initial happiness of the Privates got robbed away, and the corridors are filled with ladies talking shit about the new development.

"It's not a love relationship, she's one delusional whore, Snowman hates her" Stormy said.

She's the boss of Teal's hate train in that barrack.

"Of course it's loveless, who'd love her? I mean... Snowman with that model-like face and s+xy legs—in love with her? Future impossible tense" a lady grinned.

"She moved to the family housing doesn't change anything. A whore is always a whore, and I swear she's crushing on Rook" Stormy said.

"Rook is gay and her bestie!" A lady gasped, and Stormy smirked.

"I and Morgan come from the same hometown as them, so believe anything I tell you. Teal is secretly in love with Rook despite knowing he's gay. She's highly delusional I'm telling you" she said.

"F+ck, she disgusts me" another lady mouthed.

Morgan entered the busy corridor at this point, but she's a hot mess.

Scattered hair, smeared makeup and swelled lips. Her skirt is stained with sp€rm, so it's damp in different places, and her breàsts are fallen cos she's not wearing a bra anymore.

Quentin destroyed the bra actually.

"Crap! Must she show everyone she got smashed?"

"Not gonna lie, that must have been one hard shag, I'm jealous of her"

To avoid further gossips, Stormy pulled her into their room and locked the door.

"Are you insane? Must you and Quentin do this everytime? Do you both have no self-control?" She said.

Morgan broke free.

"You're the one person in the world who wouldn't judge me, so why this sudden shit?" She rolled eyes.

"You're overstepping. You can't even take of your skirt before doing it? You smell like sp€rm!" Stormy chastised.

"Please...Stormy stop! Yes we have no self-control cos we love each other, ok?" Morgan glared.

Stormy took a deep breath to calm.

"Where is he? Where's Quentin?"

"He left with the ambulance when another sergeant drove it out, and by tomorrow, I'll be the one to go meet him in the city after our mission. I'll sneak out" Morgan replied.

"Do you know what's gonna happen if you get caught sneaking out of the base to the city? You didn't come to the field during emergency too and you'd surely get punished, you're not scared?" Stormy blinked.

"I can handle it, we have Allegra" Morgan replied, and Stormy gave up completely.

"You don't even know what's going on in the base right now" She said.

"What?" Morgan blinked.

"Snowman and Teal, they're a couple. She's betrothed to him" Stormy replied.

"What!" Morgan's eyes almost fell off their sockets.

--

[Allegra's Unit]

April actually got a text from Allegra, so she had to run over, and she met her in the small living room.

"What did you say about Skye?" She questioned.

Allegra faced her.

"Of course you'd come whenever it's about your dear boyfriend. He has been suffering in the pavilion for two months now, but he'd actually get killed cos of you if you fail to do the right thing" she said.

"Sergeant Axel said he wouldn't kill him, what the hell are you saying? There's no evidence that he worked with the terrorists yet, so why would he die?" April exasperated.

"Cos I said so" Allegra replied.

"What!"

"Yup, leave Snowman's squad, and Skye will live" Allegra replied.

"Why would I? I've been useless in this base since our squad got cancelled. You and Sergeant Axel locked up my boyfriend and made sure I got dragged. You even did as much as sending me back to the barracks. I get disrespected by juniors on a daily, and no one shared a bunk with me, but now that Snowman came and made me feel seen again, you want me to throw away that opportunity, using my boyfriend's life as the price? Are you for real?" April sniffled, almost crying.

"If you're gonna cry, then sit down and cry, and I still won't change my mind. My Axe is crashing out cos you're in Snowman's squad, so if the only way I can calm him down is to make you leave the squad, then so be it" Allegra replied.

"You heard her, leave the squad" Sierra said, coming in like a witch.

"You both are...mad" April shot, leaving the unit.

Shannon was waiting in front of the building when she got out, and she finally let out the tears she has been keeping.

"Come here" Shannon pulled her into a hug, and her tears poured with a fountain intensity.

"They're... they're gonna kill my boyfriend if I don't leave the squad" she said, and Shannon broke the hug.

"What! Kill? In the military?"

"Being here means your life belongs to the government, so if anyone dies, he or she would be reported as... Died In Service, that's how it works" April sniffled again.

Shannon swallowed hot saliva, but then she pulled April far away from the unit.

"What if we take your boyfriend out of the pavilion? Tonight...you both can escape this base" she suggested.

"You think I haven't thought about that severally?" April wiped her tears. "Since I was sent back to the barracks, my gun was seized, so I don't have a defense weapon. Also, the pavilion remote is always with Sergeant Axel or Allegra, there's no way" she said.

"What if I can open the pavilion without remote? I'm good with breaking in, so far I have a stethoscope and hairpins. Your fighting skills are good, so is mine. We can manage" Shannon said.

"Stethoscope? We can get one from the abandoned ambulance at the park" April said.

"Good" Shannon pulled her away.

A second after they left, Teal came out of her hiding place beside the block, a lot of thoughts in her head.

--

[Male Barracks]

It's past 9, and the Privates are just returning from the communal dinning hall where they had dinner, but they're not going to bed yet.

The ones in the squad are all preparing for their mission tomorrow. Most of them are outside, discussing possibilities.

Rook, Brent, Abbey and Theo are the major males, and they're all gonna be riflemen tomorrow, except Brent who's gonna be a grenadier since he's the weakest.

"Why do I feel like we're gonna defeat the terrorists tomorrow?" Brent said.

"Are you a dreamer? Stronger squads have been tackling those bastards for years, but the bastards always win. You better say your last prayers before getting on the bus to Plaka tomorrow, cos not everyone is coming back. I heard first missions are always extra bloody" Abbey replied, smoking.

"They might be strong, but we have strong people on our squad too, I believe we'll do a number on them" Rook shrugged.

"Here comes the optimistic fool. Optimism doesn't work here, bro. Military is pure luck" Abbey smacked.

"Stop talking, you sound like a rot"

That statement came from Theo, and they all turned to him in shock.

Theo actually talked??

"Did you just call me a rot?" Abbey stood.

"Yeah, you're a wimp" Theo replied, and Abbey picked a large stone from the lawn.

He nearly smashed Theo's face with it, but Rook kicked the stone away, and it landed back on the ground, rolling down the grass.

Theo stood and entered the barracks, Rook went after him.

"It's hard to tolerate you" Brent told Abbey, then he left too.

Abbey growled, kicking the pillar beside him in rage.

He hung his cigar in the corner of his mouth and backed the pillar, then he fetched his phone, going to the recorded videos to play a video...

"Ohh... Quentin... yeah daddy! Yeah!"

Morgan's moans filtered out of his speakers as he watched the recording, and he smiled.

"At least, something to keep me entertained for now. Morgan you're in for it"

--

"Theo!" Rook hollered as he rushed after him in the wide corridor full of male Privates.

Theo didn't stop, so Rook double-crossed him, blocking his way while catching his breaths.

"You actually said that to Abbey cos of me? I mean... it's hot" he said.

"Cos of you?" Theo's left brow lifted.

"Yeah...he called me an optimistic fool, so you talked" Rook smiled.

"I don't give a shit about you. You're in fact an optimistic fool like he said" Theo replied, and Brent appeared.

"Snarky-tongued bastard!" He wanted to grab Theo's collar, but Rook dragged him back.

Theo left the corridor, and Brent faced Rook.

"Liking him doesn't mean you have to be a fool, he's not a god"  he said.

"But he is—a hot one" Rook replied, and Brent shook his head.

"You're crazy"

--

[Enclosed Pavilion]

At 10pm, Shannon and April arrived at the building.

None of them owns a bike nor a car, so they had to trek, and it took long.

Shannon got the stethoscope and the pins immediately, and while she started trying to crack the door lock, April watched the surroundings for any danger.

The breaths of the two of them came out heavily and fearfully, and April in particular is sweating.

The pins kept moving between the door holes, and as Shannon twisted it, she placed the stethoscope on the door, listening to the change in sounds and positions in her ear.

A soft creak followed a sharp one, then a click, and a snap.

"I got it!" She said as the door slid open.

"Oh my gawd!" April gasped, pulling her in.

They both turned on their flashlights, and it wasn't hard to locate where Skye got cemented at.

"Skye!" April squealed, and the guy's eyes struggled to open.

His ears recognized her voice, and his split lips parted.

"April?"

April started running to him, but before she could get there, the pavilion lights came on, swallowing their flashlights.

The two ladies froze, and a loud ridiculous laughter sounded from the other side of the wall.

April and Shannon turned around, quickly.

They were astounded to see the two witches—Allegra and Sierra.

Sierra is sitting on a stool, eating a green apple.

Allegra is standing not far from her, holding her gun with finesse.

April gulped, and Shannon quickly moved back.

"I knew you were gonna make this move, April. And I must commend your door breaking abilities, Shannon." Allegra said, her laughter continuing.

"Because you're Cassie's sister, you think you can actually run mad?" Sierra stood, discarding her Apple.

"Your coming here tonight is a bloody mistake. Shannon is dying cos I wanna see Cassie's tears, and Skye will die too cos April is gonna cry too" She said heartlessly.

"Who should I shoot first? Shannon, or Skye?" Allegra played with her gun, laughing hard as her tattoo glittered with the lights under her combat uniform.

"Skye should die first, it's a suggestion" Sierra sat back.

"No!" April shook her head, and Skye grunted in pains inside the cement.

"Shoot" Sierra faced Allegra.

"Yeah baby" Allegra curled her index and almost pulled the trigger when the lights in the pavilion went off—as if possessed.

In the dark, someone snatched the gun from Allegra.

"What the hell!" Allegra voiced, and then the lights flashed back on, shinning them.

Instead of four ladies, there are five now.

There's an addition—Teal.

She's holding Allegra's gun, playing with it on her palm like some kid toy.

"I don't know much about guns, but I know it kills the people you're tired of seeing" she said casually.

"Damn you...!!" Allegra yelled and began coming for her with a thudding run, but Teal quickly angled the gun towards Sierra.

"Keep running, and i'll blow off her brains, easily" she said, pushing Shannon and April behind herself.

Allegra stopped running, and Sierra smiled antagonistically, standing from her stool.

"Are you really pointing that gun at me? Like me... Sierra DeVille? The General's daughter? You're not even on uniform, and you're aiming a gun at me?" She said cockily.

"So...if I'm on uniform, I have the right to shoot you, isn't it?" Teal replied, her voice cutthroat.

"I burnt your uniform, bro" Sierra chuckled.

"I'll get another,... right now" Teal ominously replied, and the chuckle died in Sierra's throat.

Teal changed the aim of the gun from Sierra to Allegra, and Allegra shifted back with two steps.

"Undress, and hand your uniform over" Teal ordered Allegra.

"What the f+ck?" Allegra couldn't believe her ears.

Meanwhile... from the open pavilion door, a dark figure stood, watching them in silence.

Teal fingered the gun trigger, slowly.

"Strip, and hand over your damn uniform. Allegra Dunbar!" She spat.
