Alexander's POV

The doors opened, and Alice came in with a frown, accompanied by one of the security guards.

"Leave," I said to him, leaning on my desk.

"Yes, Sir," he replied and promptly left the office.

"Sit down," I looked at her, folding my arms.

She shook her head negatively. "I don't want to."

"Sit down," I repeated, losing my cool.

She responded defiantly. "No, you can't order me around."

Gritting my teeth, I snapped, "Sit. Down."

She stared at me unfazed, rolling her eyes. "I'm not going to sit down."

I slammed my hand on the table, and she jumped, startled. "SIT DOWN, ALICE!" My voice reverberated through the corners of my office. I was fuming. I haté it when someone didn't do what I demanded. But seeing Alice's frightened face, the anger vanished. "I won't repeat myself."

She avoided my eyes, sitting on the sofa far away from me. Her green eyes appeared brighter with tears in them.

I can endure that, I think.

"What are you doing here, Alice?" I demanded, tapping my fingers on the desk I was seated on.

"I figured you didn't eat breakfast and you wouldn't eat lunch either, so I came to give you your lunch." Her voice sounded somewhat quaky as she looked everywhere but at me. "But obviously, you had lunch, haven't you?"

I ignored her second statement, taking a few steps toward her. "Why did you bring me lunch?"

"Just because."

"Just because what?" I insisted on knowing the reason for her action.

She was being snappy for no reason. I wanted to know what was the reason for her snapping.

"Will you please stop interrogating me?" She chided me. "Can I leave now?"

"No and no." I sat on the desk in front of the sofa she was on. She shifted backward, avoiding my touch in every way possible.

"But I want to leave, Alex."

Her pupils kept dancing in her eyes but never met mine, which was waiting for them. "Are you jealous?"

Her mouth fell open, and she closed it back, standing up on her feet. "What? Of course not. Why would I?" She refuted, rushing her words.

"Exactly my question. Why would you be jealous when we aren't in any sort of relationship that demands commitment?"

Her eyes finally met mine, staring blankly at me. With a scoff, she said, "Yeah, who would want to be in any sort of relationship with you that demands commitment?" She pointed her index finger at me. "This should be the question you are supposed to ask instead."

Her beautiful face still beautiful with the stretched scorn on her face. Her lips pressed in a thin line.

I stood up from the table, taking a few slow steps toward her. She attempted to walk away, and I drew her back, pinning her to the glass wall. "Just because I'm being friendly with you doesn't mean you should talk stupídly to me." Her eyes snapped to mine, and her stubbornness evaporated while fear replaced it. "I'm entitled to do whatever I want to do with my life. No one, especially you, will dictate that for me, so stick to the friendship you forced on me instead of poking your nose into my life. Understand that, Alice?" She gulped wordlessly, and I tightened my grip on her forearm, and more tears filled her eyes. "Understand?"

"Yes, yes," she quivered, closing her eyes. "You are húrting me."

As soon as those words left her mouth, I felt something in me snap, and I let go of her hand. "Alice..."

"I want to go."

I pinched her jaw with my index finger and thumb, lifting her head up to mine. "I'm sorry; I didn't mean to húrt you." Alice hiccuped, tears flowing down her eyes, and on autopilot, my hand went to her face, wiping her tears away. "Do you know that you are pretty when you cry?" A little smile tugged at the side of her lips.

Did I just wipe a girl's tears? I've never done that before.

"Does that mean I should cry more often?" She asked, teasingly.

"Absolutely." I lied, teasing her too.

She nudged her elbow into my stomach, pouting angrily. "Jérk."

Strands of hair covered the side of her face, almost entering her eyes. My hands automatically tucked the hair behind her ears.

Maybe I should tie my hands; that way, I won't do things I am not supposed to do.

Her eyes finally locked with mine, filled with surprise. Those pretty orbs glistened in mine with her beautiful smile.

On second thought, maybe I shouldn't tie up my hands. I wouldn't be able to touch her if I do that.

I saw her teeth attacking her bottom lip as she bit on it. Why does she do that? Why is she doing that when I'm so close to her? This should be illegal.

The urge to press my lips on her was too much for me to resist. But this is considered my first kiss, and my first kiss with Alice. I wouldn't want the kiss to result in what I actually want in my office, where I just had sex with a slút.

Alice isn't a slút but a ray of light, blindingly sunshine. Bright yet poisonoús.

Her vénom has traveled all the way through my body without stopping, and I couldn't stop it — I can't stop it.

She is Sweet Poíson that I hunger for.

Involuntarily but readily, my head leaned in to claim her lips, her eyes fluttered closed. But before I could join my lips with hers, she turned her head, and my lips landed on her cheek.

"I'm not a whóre, Alex," she says, wetting her lips with her tongue. "You just finished having sex here at your office; you can't kiss me."

"You're right; you aren't a whóre, and I never thought of you as one." I replied, backing away from her. "What lunch did you bring? Let's eat."

"Sure." She nodded, walking over to pick up the lunchbox, dropping it on the table. "But first, what did you save my name as?"

"Why should I tell you that?" I asked, folding my hands.

She ran to my desk, picking up my phone. I let her do whatever she wanted to do. Bringing out her phone, my phone rang shortly, and her face went curious.

"Alexander, is that Italian?" She asked, showing me the screen of my phone.

I smirked, striding to her. "Yes, Kitten."

"What does Dulce Veleno mean?"

"Not telling."

"You know I can Google it, right?"

"Yeah." I nodded my head, sitting on the sofa, unzipping the lunchbox. "If you remember what you saw."

My Sweet Poison rolled her eyes, glaring at me while I smiled at her. She is so cute, twitching her lips like that.

There I thought that my day would be horrible, but it isn't. Alice always works magic, and she just did.
