"I missed you" she said, and a deep silence fell in the room.
"What!" he muttered.
"I mean...I missed your presence at work" she said awkwardly.
"Why will you miss my presence at work when I'm a nobody to you?" he asked.
"I'm sorry Everest, work for me again" she said softly, he looked away from her eyes but she quickly turned his face to her.
"I'm deeply sorry for hurting you with my words" she said sincerely.
"I got a..."
"Quit it, I will pay you three times of what they are going to pay you" she said.
He gave her an intense gaze before letting out a sigh.
"I will think about it" he uttered, and she smiled.
"Ok, bye" she smiled and walked out.
Everest fell on the chair with mixed feelings.
"She seriously begged me, I can't believe it, am I that important?" he whispered, thinking about what she said.
LUXURY RESTAURANT*
Sloane and Newton came in at the same time, and they faced each other.
"Good morning Sloane" he smiled warmly.
"Morning" she replied, and he started leaving. She was about to call him when Michelin came out of the kitchen, running towards them.
"Senior Newton" she called, and Sloane stopped herself.
"Mich" he shortened her name, and she smiled prettily.
"You came early" he said.
"I wanted to be the first person, I deserve an award right?" she grinned.
"You do, I got this for you" he said and gave her a strawberry drink.
"What!" she gasped, taking it from him excitedly.
"Are you a magician? How do you know my favorite?" she smiled.
"I saw it so I decided to get it for you" he replied.
"Aww, thank you" she said and he stroked her hair.
"You are making me feel like a baby" she said.
"You are a baby" he smiled.
"Senior Sloane" she called loudly and ran to her.
"Good morning, you are so beautiful" she said.
"Thank you, you are cute too" Sloane replied with a smile.
"You wanna have a sip?"
"No, thanks" Sloane smiled and started walking away. Michelin rushed after her, drinking from the strawberry drink.
THE ROYALS*
Myles came into the office and Kingsley came out of a room in the office, he saw Myles and he was a bit shocked but he composed himself immediately.
"Myles... Myles" he called.
Myles scanned the office before facing him.
"What are you doing in her office?" He asked with no friendliness in his eyes.
"Who are you to ask me that? I'm her secretary if you have forgotten" he said scornfully, and Myles came closer.
"I got my eyes on you, tread carefully" Myles said.
"What rubbish are you talking about?" Kingsley scoffed.
"I have warned you" Myles said and walked out of the office.
"That bastard, I will teach you a lesson very soon" Kingsley said and left the office.

"Gawd!" Paige groaned tiredly.
Plenty of work was left yesterday since Everest is around. The person she hired to act as her secretary is nowhere near Everest.
There was a lot of work on her table, she was getting tired as she worked continuously.
Vivian came into the office and bowed before dropping two files on the table.
"Copies of the HR analysis" she said.
"Okay" she said without looking up.
"Are you okay ma'am?" Vivian asked.
"I'm fine" she replied.
Vivian said nothing and left. She knew she wasn't okay but asking her more questions may lead to getting her angry, she knew the kind of boss she has.
"I seriously need Everest back, I seriously need him" she muttered.

Newton and Sloane came in the kitchen at the same time, and they tried to take the tray of a waiting order, their hands landing on the tray.
They turned looking at each other.
"Leave it, I will serve it" he smiled, and she reluctantly moved back.
He started walking out when she called him back.
"I'm... I'm sorry for pushing you that way, I was in a bad mood" she bit her lips.
"I understand, it was my fault, I shouldn't have hugged you like that, forgive my stupidity" he smiled and went out.
She folded her lips, taking it inside.
"He's making me feel more guilty" she sighed.
Another order came in, and she started attending to it immediately.
THE ROYALS, NIGHT*
Myles was waiting in the car when Jennifer came in.
"Anaconda" she called and he looked back.
"Are you accepting the name?" she teased.
"Your wish?" he replied.
"Take me to shadow star clubhouse, it has been a long time since I went to a clubhouse" she said.
"Ok" he said and drove out.
He got there after forty minutes. He stopped the car, and they came out at the same time.
"You are going in with me, you are my guard now" she said and he scoffed but said nothing again. He followed her in and she was allowed entry.
She went to the VIP with Myles, and he found a chair. He sat there and started watching her.
She started drinking and after taking three cups, she went to the dance floor and started dancing.
Myles was watching her while drinking from a glass. A girl suddenly sat beside him.
"Hi handsome" she said with a flirty smile.
"Why are you sitting alone?" she asked seductively and tried touching but his cold eyes fell on her, and she shifted back.
"Not interested" he said coldly.
She hissed and walked away.
He resumed watching over Jennifer when suddenly a guy came to her, and started dancing with her.
Myles's hand tightened on his cup but he kept watching, Jennifer was smiling and dancing with him, she even started rocking.
Myles swallowed hard looking at them.
The guy started touching her @ss and she was giggling. Myles lost it and stood up, dropping his drink. He walked to her and pushed the guy away.
"Who are you?" the guy glared.
"Touch her again and I swear you will lose your front teeth" he said sternly.
"Myles" she turned and started smiling.
He took her hand and started taking her out angrily.
"What are you doing Myles, I'm dancing?" she shouted but he didn't stop till they got to her car. He faced her with an angry look.
"I want to dance more" she said tipsily, staggering a bit.
"What came over you? You were allowing that guy to touch your butts" he yelled angrily.
"What? Why are you shouting at me, I'm your boss" she said.
"I'm taking you home" he said and before she could resist, he pushed her into the car and entered. She started blabbing words but he drove out.
He got to her castle and came out, he helped her out of the car in his arms, and took her in. He met Monica in the living room. She was sleeping before they got home.
"Handsome driver" she rushed to him.
"What happened to her?" she asked.
"She got a bit drunk" he said and she nodded.
"Take her upstairs" he said and she took Jennifer from him.
"Good night" he said and left immediately.
NEXT MORNING*
Jennifer woke up and when she looked at the wall clock, she gasped. 9am.
"What happened to me?" she asked herself, rubbing her forehead.
The memories of last night started coming to her head.
"I got drunk yesterday, f*ck, I allowed a random guy to touch my @ss" she frowned.
What came over her?
She got down from the bed and went into the bathroom. She came out after using thirty minutes in the bathroom, she quickly dressed up, and left her bedroom.
She descended the stairs and met Monica in the living room.
"Who took upstairs?" Jennifer asked straight.
"I was the one" Monica replied.
"Oh!" she mouthed.
"You came home drunk"
"I don't want to talk about it, I'm going to work" she said and without waiting, she left.
She got outside and met Myles beside the car. She almost smiled but seeing the look on his face, her smile faded away.
He opened the door and entered. She sighed and entered the car.
"I woke up late..."
"I didn't ask, you are the boss after all" he cut her off.
"What is up with the harsh tone?" she asked.
Without replying, he started the car and drove out.
No communication took place in the car till they arrived at the company.
"Follow me to my office" she said, and came out.
He came out and followed her into the company. They entered the elevator which took them to her office.
They met Kingsley there waiting.
"Good morning boss" he said.
"I will call you later" she said and entered her office. Myles and Kingsley glared at each other before he went into the office.
She took her suit jacket and hung it on her chair, she sat down, facing him.
"Why did you ask me to follow you to your office?" he asked
"Are you angry at me or something?" she asked, looking at him.
"Why would I be angry at you?" he asked.
"Then why are you cold towards me" she asked.
"I'm not cold towards you, I will excuse myself if you don't have something important to say" he said and turned to leave but she stood up and blocked his way.
"Tell me, why are you like this?" she asked but he looked away.
She started coming closer and he started moving back.
"What are you doing?" he asked, moving back.
"Trying to know why you are this way" she replied, still coming closer.
"Stop coming close" he said, and she smiled.
She moved closer and he shifted back but he hit the couch behind him, and he fell on the couch.
Jennifer came over him, trapping him underneath with her hands.
"Just tell me" she said seriously.
"You allowed a random guy to keep touching you in the clubhouse, I expected high of you, what if I wasn't there, what if...I don't want to imagine it, if you know you are not tolerant to alcohol why were you drinking it? He f*cking touched your @ss" he scolded.
"I know you were watching me that is why I keep drinking, about the guy I was out of my senses" she said, and smiled.
"What is funny?" he frowned, looking away.
"Why are you avoiding my face?" she asked.
"We are in the office and this position we are in isn't convenient, someone might come in"
"This is my office and my company" she smiled.
He tried to push her away but she held his hands and pinned it down on the couch.
"You look so handsome nagging, I love it" she said, bringing her face closer.
" What..what are you doing?" he blinked.
"What do you think I'm doing?" she asked, bringing her closer.
Myles started blinking nervously as he stared into her eyes.
She smiled and brought her lips closer to his ear.
"Have you ever kissed a lady with these glossy pink lips before?" she asked whisperingly.
