Alice's POV

Alexander dressed up in his suit, preparing to leave with just a cup of coffee in his stomach.

Obviously, I didn't let him go. I forced him to eat the breakfast the maid prepared for me.

Can you imagine that the maid was already used to Alexander not eating, so when I told her to prepare for two people, she asked, "Who is the second person?"

Unbelievable, I know.

We didn't talk much during breakfast. It seemed like this was the first time in forever he had had breakfast with someone at a dining table.

I didn't pester too much either. I let him have his peace.

After he left in his red Audi A6, zooming away, I decided not to be bored. I would do everything to avoid boredom.

I spent my day watching movies and roaming around the house.

The house is a lot bigger than I thought. There's a garden with flowers at the back of the house, a pool, a greenhouse. There's also a small building on the rooftop of the house, but it was locked.

I later finished binge-watching The Vampire Diaries and took a long nap.

I was out of ideas for what to do next. What movie or series should I watch? I've watched The Originals and Legacies way too many times.

When I lived with my parents, I'd hide in a spot and draw or paint. My father didn't want me to pursue my dream in the arts, so I followed his dream for me—business administration.

I didn't like business administration, but I did it for the sake of my father and graduated with an honors degree. I could work in any company I wanted, but I didn't want to do something I never liked.

My father loves me; his love for me is sky-high. I know he loves me. He just doesn't want his daughter painting random stuff, his words, not mine. He wants something that will benefit me, his words, not mine.

All I ever wanted in life was to be free. All I want in my life is to get free. Free from my dad's hold. I want my dad to see my dream as something big and worthy. I want him to give me a "go-ahead."

Whenever I draw or paint, I feel calmness. The scenery changes for me, and I transport into my canvas or sketchbook. Drawing random stuff or playing with paints, my dad's words, doesn't give you anything.

I just want him to describe what I draw and paint as wonderful, beautiful. I just want him to be proud of me the way I am.

I don't think that can ever happen.

Pushing those thoughts aside, I stood up from my bed, walked to the bathroom, washed my face in the sink, and did a messy bun with my hair.

It wasn't the perfect messy bun, but at least it was messy.

I exited my room, humming a song to myself as I climbed down the stairs.

A girl around my age was cleaning and arranging the perfectly organized living room.

She's probably the other maid that Blair told me nothing about. I approached her, and she bowed her head.

What's up with the guards and the maids bowing their heads at me? I'm not Alexander. Did he tell them to do that?

Maybe. There's nothing he isn't capable of doing.

I beamed a friendly smile at her. "I'm Alice."

"Elizabeth," she replied with a polite smile on her face. "Would you like anything, Ms. Alice?"

She's a blonde, unlike Blair, who is a brunette. She has blue eyes, while Blair has black. She's tall, while Blair and I are of the same height. She has a French accent, while Blair and I don't have any accent.

"Yes," I said to her, frowning. "I'd like you to stop calling me Ms. I don't like that."

She opened her mouth to respond, and I could see she was about to refuse.

My frown deepened, my eyes devoid of the happiness in them. "Do you understand?" She vigorously nodded her head, and the smile returned to my face. "Good. Is there anything I can do in this house other than watch TV and sleep or swim?"

Her blue eyes dilated as she thought about it. "No, there's nothing."

I let out a loud sigh, disappointed. I shouldn't be, but a part of me thought that Alexander would be a little bit fun, and I was wrong.

"Do you want to watch a movie with me?" I asked her, hoping she wouldn't refuse due to fear of Alexander.

She did. She shook her head negatively.

"Sorry, Ms. Alice, but I can't."

I didn't force her; I couldn't. It was her choice, and I must respect it.

I am so bored. I've never been so bored in my life. I decided to go for a swim but didn't.

I sat in the living room on the sofa, licking ice cream while watching a romcom.

I'm a sucker for romance. I believe that my man is somewhere waiting to enter my life at the right moment.

Right from childhood, I enjoyed watching Cinderella, Snow White, The Princess and the Frog, Tangled, Ariel, The Little Mermaid, A Cinderella Story, The Princess Diaries, and so many other movies about love and a little magic. I became interested in vampires, zombies, and horror at thirteen.

I want my handsome prince charming to come into my life like a beautiful accident. Maybe when I'm at the cafe, and he will bump into me, spilling my coffee on me. Or maybe, we will meet at a friend's wedding. Or maybe...

"What are you daydreaming about, Minx?" I heard the voice I had been wanting to hear all day so close to me. I looked up and saw him—Alexander smiling at me with his suit in his hand and a bag.

I wonder what could be inside that bag. I wonder who gave it to him or who he bought it for.

"Nothing," I lied, shrugging my shoulders.

"I don't believe you," he muttered, lowly. "You weren't on Earth when I came inside."

"Where was I then?"

Did I really zone out, daydreaming about my future husband?

"Don't know," he muttered, shaking his head. Stretching the bag to me, I raised my brows at him without taking it. "I got something for you."

"What is it?"

My heart was jumping at the fact that mighty ol' Alexander Romano bought something for me.

"Take it and see."

I took the bag from him, inspecting it. Opening the bag, I brought out an iPhone—not just any iPhone but iPhone 14.

"I thought you would need it," he nonchalantly said when I looked at him with grateful eyes.

"Well, I do. Thank you."

"Sure. Everything is already set up, and my number is there." He informed me. "Let me go freshen up."

I brought out the phone from its package and turned it on. There was only one number in the call log, so that would be Alexander's number.

He already saved it as ‘Alexander’. What makes him think I'll save his name like that?

I edited the name, saving his number as “Hot Lips.”

I smirked at my mischievous. That's way better than “Alexander” right?
