Subtitle; {Between Love and War}

Alexander's POV

After choosing between yes or no with the seductive Alice, we headed downstairs.

"Let me go get water, I'll be back," she said, attempting to leave the living room.

I held her wrist, and she stopped, facing me with a quizzical stare. "Stay here; I will go get it. You hurt your toes, just sit."

She beamed her bright smile at me. "You're acting nice, I like that."

I hope she didn't smile at other guys like that in the past. I've never gotten anything I wanted, and when I do, I don't want to ever share.

I shouldn't be surprised that she has kissed a lot of guys. I mean, this girl is literally a princess with an appealing body and beautiful pair of eyes.

Everything she does is enough to bring the strongest man to his knees. Her smile is the brightest smile in the world. The stars would be jealous of her dazzling green emerald orbs. Her hair is long and cascading over her back.

I want to kiss every part of her body, I want to kiss her into oblivion, and I want to hear her scream my name. I want this girl so much.

"Don't let it get to your head; it won't happen twice," I told her, but the smile remained on her face.

"Yeah, sure," she sarcastically replied. "I'll make sure it doesn't get to my head."

Walking away from her, I entered the kitchen after a couple of steps. I took a bottle of water and a canned soda.

Before I could return to the living room, she had chosen a movie.

Alice was seated on the sofa with a pillow on her lap, watching the TV intently.

Stopping in my tracks, I watched her watch the TV, grinning at the characters. I was pretty sure I wouldn't be watching the TV tonight but Alice.

Sitting down on the sofa, I stretched the drinks toward her, and she took them with a mutter of "thank you."

"This movie is really good. I've watched it so many times," she chimed, happily with a little too much enthusiasm than expected for a movie. "You'll love it."

"I doubt it."

"Why is that?" She asked, opening the bottled water with a frown on her face for me. "You don't think that you'll love the movie; should I choose another?"

"No, it is fine," I muttered, resting my head backward. "I just don't think I'll love a romantic movie."

"Why?" She asked, taking her gaze off the TV and facing me. "You don't like romantic movies? What kind of movie do you like?"

"Definitely not romance."

"You don't have the right to say that without watching one first," she said and gulped down the water. "You shouldn't be such a robotic human."

She got comfortable on the sofa, hugging the pillow to herself with her focus on the TV. After staring at her for a creepy amount of minutes, I averted my gaze from her to the TV.

The movie was about a girl and a boy on a big ship. I think the girl is the rich one, and the boy is the poor one, at least they weren't cliche. She was named after a flower, and he was Jake or Jack, I don't know, but it's one of the two names.

As the movie went on, Alice made this squeaky scream or high-pitched scream; it was so weird, but I enjoyed watching her.

"Why can't she just leave that bastard?" I inquired, getting annoyed at the movie.

"Just watch it, Xander."

Xander? She made it her agenda to turn me into her puppy.

I don't like when my name is shortened, and my family knows that. This girl makes me like her every action and every word.

"I don't like the girl's mother," I dropped my opinion, and she nodded.

"I don't like her too," I'm glad she agrees with me. "She looks like a villain... or a wítch."

Jake or Jack and the girl named after a flower seemed to love each other even though they hadn't known each other for long.

Alice sipped on her soda, her eyes intently fixed on the TV.

"Want a sip?" She asked, stretching the can to me without sparing me a glance.

"No, I'm alright," I said, folding my legs and hands.

Okay, so I was wrong. The movie was kind of interesting, and I was enjoying watching Alice watch it.

At the end of the movie, tears were spilling from her eyes, and I was stunned.

"I can't ever get used to Jack dyíng; they deserved so much better," sobbing, she cried out, covering her face with her hands. "Titanic is the best heartbreaking movie to me, and it breaks me every single time."

"You're overreacting, Princess," I muttered, watching the ending. She looked at me, dumbfounded. "You shouldn't waste your tears on senseless things like this; it's stupid."

She jumped on me, using the pillow to attack me continuously. I blocked the painless hits with my hands, but it didn't stop.

"You're a huge jérk; you're just a big douchebàg," hít after hít after hít, she snapped, sobbing. "Why would you say that?"

I flipped us around, and I was the one on top now. I took the pillow from her grip while she pouted sadly.

"Shh, it's just a movie, and you should admit it; your tears don't change a thing," I told her, and she rolled her eyes, looking everywhere but at me.

I tilted her head to face me, and she heaved a sigh. Her eyes stared into mine, and she sighed softly.

It was then she realized that I was on top of her, as her eyes traveled over my body hovering over her. Her lips parted open, and I looked at them.

My dessert.

Her lips would be my first kiss... I don't count the one I had when I was fifteen; it was an arrangement.

I wasn't a saint, of course not. I had sex; I had lots of séx with women of my choice but never kissed them.

Kissing someone irritated my skin from the fifteen-year-old me, and I never did it again.

Alice is making me want to do it. Her lips look so appetizing and sweet.

As I leaned in further to close the gap between our lips, a commercial popped up on the TV, blocking our ears with the loud music.

First, it was my freaking phone, and now, this dàrn TV. I hate my life.

I'll have my dessert sooner or later, and when I do, she'll be sóre for days.
