“Why do you look so surprised to hear what I just said?” Alpha Marcus asked without any remorse as he walked towards the shocked Natalie.
She sniffed hard. “I'm the one who is engaged to you, Marcus. Do you expect me to be happy after hearing what you just said?”
Alpha Marcus scoffed. “I know that she wronged you, and for that reason, I care for her a very brutal punishment. Ever since Alison came into this Pack, I have always done anything and everything I do in your favor, disregarding the fact that she is my mate.”
“No, Marcus. You were doing all that because he just wanted us to be jealous. All you wanted was for her to beg for your love, and you obviously loved her.” Natalie broke into tears.
She was cut off immediately by the furious Alpha. “Shut your f****** mouth. She is my mate, and my wolf yearns for her. That is one thing that you can never do, don't you understand it?”
“I'm willing to do anything, and everything, just to satisfy you, my Alpha. We grew up together, Marcus. You and I are a perfect match for each other. I'm the only one deserving to be your Luna.” Natalie sobbed.
Heaving a sigh, Marcus replied. “We grew up together, yes! But that doesn't mean that we are mated to each other.”
“She tried to kill me, Marcus. Are you really going to search for that girl and bring her back into the Pack house? Who knows how much harm she would cause me if she comes back here? I'm worried because my life is at stake. Allison will kill me, Marcus. Is that what you want?” Natalie burst into tears.
Alpha Marcus yelled at her, causing her to flinch. She didn't believe he would scream at her just because of a slave. “I said shut up. Allison won't be able to do that. I still doubt that she even poisoned the knife she used to stab you.”
Upon hearing that, Natalie's eyes popped out in shock. He was even disbelieving her because of Allison. “Marcus, I…”
She was interrupted by Alpha Marcus. “Shut up! This conversation is over. Get out of my office now.”
Blinking her tears back, Natalie stormed out of the office, crying helplessly. Even without the slave, she still doesn't have a place in Alpha Marcus's heart.
As soon as she left and slammed the door, Alpha Marcus heaved a sigh of relief. The Gamma, who had been quiet all along, spoke up. “What do we do now, my Alpha?”
“Send out some Pack members, search for Allison and bring her back to the castle.” He ordered.
Bowing slightly, the Gamma replied. “Yes, my Alpha.”
“No matter what, make sure Allison is brought back to the Night Wind Pack. My wolf needs her.”
Meanwhile, at the Cold Moon Pack house, inside the Alpha's chambers. Alpha Atlas slowly opened his eyes. His vision was blurry, but he caught sight of someone beside him.
Jerking up from the bed, he rubbed his eyes tiredly. “Allison?”
I was fast asleep on the foot of the bed. Actually, I fell asleep while massaging him. His lips curved into a smile as he peered into my face like he hadn't seen me before.
On feeling a warm breath on my face, I quickly opened my eyes. Likewise, I saw him looking at me, and was startled. I gave out a loud scream in fear as I quickly got up from the bed, adjusting my flimsy dress.
“I'm… I'm sorry, Alpha.” I apologized immediately as I tucked my hair behind my ear in fear.
He smirked rather coldly at me, and that got me more afraid. Was he going to punish me for daring to lay in the same bed with an Alpha like himself? I was visibly shaking. “Is this your way of giving me a massage?”
“No, Alpha. I'm deeply sorry, I didn't know when I fell asleep. Please punish me, Alpha.” I went on my knees right in front of him. I was waiting eagerly to receive my punishment from him.
He cleared his throat. “You can leave.”
My eyes widened in shock. I wasn't expecting him to let me go without a punishment, I raised my eyes at him. “Yes?”
“Haven't you had enough of me? Do you still wish to sleep with me?” He asked with a grin, and I choked immediately.
Shaking my head, I quickly got up from the ground that I was kneeling. “No… No, Alpha. I will leave immediately.”
I stormed out of the room with my heart beating faster. A smile crept into my face… I can't tell why I was smiling, but I really prefer Alpha Atlas to Marcus. Actually, Marcus made me almost believe that all Alphas are brutal, until I met Alpha Atlas. He seemed hard on the outside, but softhearted inside.
Furthermore, I was walking down the hallway when I met the angry looking lady, glaring at me with disdain. It was Harper.
Without hesitation, I tried to walk away, but she blocked me. Raising my head up, I said. “Please, I'd like to go to my room.”
She scoffed, and mimicked me. “Please, I'd like to go to my room. Arrant nonsense! Who the hell told you that you have a place in this house?”
Ignoring her statement, I replied. “I just want to go to my room. Please, I really do not want any trouble.”
“You scheming witch! Are you saying that I'm the one who wants trouble? If you really don't want trouble, what are you still doing here?” She snorted at me.
I heaved a sigh. “Alpha Atlas bought me. It's only right for me to be here because he's my new Master.”
“Shut up. You little wretch! Stay away from Atlas, I'm his only Luna. Don't think you can actually seduce him because I'll make life miserable for you, and you'll regret ever getting to know him.” She yelled at me, and I shivered in fear.
