Mina's POV
I was all alone in the hotel thinking about CJ, he was really acting weird and I knew something was definitely wrong which he refused to tell me.
He promise to be back and I will patiently wait for him, maybe when he is back, I can tell him about what happen last night
I stood up from the bed when my phobia started ringing where I kept it.
I walked over to the shelf and picked my phone up
I looked at the caller and I was shocked
"Eric??
I quickly pick it up
"Hello Eric " I said but there was no response
"Answer me Eric, I thought you will never call me, I thought you are avoiding me " I said almost crying
Eric has been my best friend since childhood and I really don't wanna lose him, I knew I had hurt him but still I love him so much because he is like a brother to me
"Mina we need to talk" He said in a serious tone
"Of course yes, I hope it is not serious " I asked
"Not at all" He replied
"Okay, can you tell me where to meet " I said and he told me before hanging up.
I was extremely happy to hear his voice but I was also nervous
Why does he sound so serious??

Kayla's POV
I was sitting in the car while looking at the restaurant in front of me..
I was told that the restaurant belongs to Mina's mother and it was actually CJ that bought her a new restaurant.
If she is Mina's mother and my dad is asking her to give him back his real daughter then probably Mina is his real daughter " I thought and my eyes widened
"Then the owner of this restaurant which everyone believe is Mina's mother is my own real mother "
No No No this can't be
I ran my fingers through my hair as I could feel my head throbbing badly..
My phone suddenly beeps, I wanted to ignore it at first then my phone started ringing, I looked at who it was but it was a private number
I picked it and refused to say a word
"Hello Kayla " A familiar voice said
It was CJ
"CJ?? I whispered
"Don't forget our wedding is in two days time and the venue is going to be at Rim's hall in China so I will come pick you up in the evening" He said and I was confused and baffled at the same time.
"Are you drunk?? I asked
I believe he is drunk for him to be talking about our wedding
"Kayla, I am serious, I will be at your dad's house to pick you up in the evening so get ready, also I was told that they've sent you pictures of the different wedding dress so check and choose the one you like" He said and I couldn't alter a single word
"I'll call you later " He said and hang up
Wait... What is going on??
I checked my message and I was surprised to see beautiful different wedding gown pictures
My eyes widened and I was beyond shocked
I thought they said CJ lost his memory so what happened??
Has he forgotten about Mina??
I literally don't care about that, all I care about now is to have CJ all by myself and now it has been sorted out
I am getting marry to CJ the day after tomorrow
Mina can never have what belongs to me even her real dad which is my own fake dad
I will make sure she suffer and regret coming into this world
How can a whole Ryung Kayla, one of the popular model and goddess in korea be a daughter to a low class woman??
No that's not possible!!!.

CJ's POV
"Are you sure you will be able to do this?? Min ho asked but I just couldn't answer him as I kept thinking of Mina.
Will I be able to do this??
Will I be able to marry Kayla and forget about Mina??
I really need to do this because I don't want to hurt her in future and I think I am actually feeling guilty for trying to protect my parent who deserve to be punished for their crime
"Yea I think so" I replied
"Aish... She's really going to feel bad when she see you on the TV together with Kayla in a wedding attire " Min ho said and I could feel my heart beating loudly
"Min ho, you know I can't be with her even though I love her so much, we can't just be together " I said and Min ho patted my shoulder
"Yea I understand you but.... " He paused and let out a sigh "anyway it's your choice and it's not your fault " He said
Mina's POV
I was feeling uncomfortable with the silence that engulfed between me and Eric.
I was very much happy to see him but was kinda sad because i don't think he was happy to see me
The wind was blowing through my hair and I looked at Eric, he was not looking at me, his hands were in his pocket and he was looking at the sky
We were alone at the side of the mountain and I kept wondering why he brought me here.
"The view seem nice up here " I said trying to break the silence but he didn't say anything
"Eric, are you still mad at me?? I asked sadly and that is when he looked at me
He shook his head and gave me his brightest smile
"There's no need to ask how you've been cos I can see clearly that you're fine ' he said and he slowly looked away
"You see there's a lot I have been hiding from you and I think I am stupid for hiding it all because I lost you due to this "
"What do you mean??
"You know when we're still young, I always tell you about my first angel " He said and I looked at the sky with a smile on my face
"Of course I remember, you're so crazy about this lover of yours that you always talk about her, you even said your first song will be dedicated to her, the girl must be soo lucky " I said and he chuckled
"Mina you're so dumb " He said and I glanced at me, he was already looking at me
"Huh??
"The girl I was crazy about, my first love, my first angel was you Mina but you never noticed" He said and my eyes widened
The girl he always talk about was me??
"And that is why I said I am stupid for hiding it, I was really jealous when I first see you close with CJ and I was hurt when you slapped me because I tried to kiss you... I know you're in love with CJ and I hope you guys will forever be together " He said and trust me I could feel the pain in his voice
"Eric?? I whispered
"Wait... " He said and brought out his phone "give me CJ's number " he said but I just stood there looking at me
"Trust me" he said and I gave him number
He dialed his number and it went straight to voicemail
"Hello Rival" he said and chuckled "good morning, it is me Miles, I am actually with your girlfriend now and trust me she's beautiful with the white gown she's wearing" he said as he stared at me
"Mina has been my best friend since childhood and I really love her but you stole her away from me, I actually want to get revenge but I think I give up now, I give up.. The music star position is yours and Mina is also yours... But I have a request to make, pls don't ever hurt her because she's special and I hope you take good care of her " he said and cut the call
He smiled at me then brought out a bracelet, it was the bracelet I gave him when we were young
"Remember this?? He said
He pulled my hand forth and put it in my hand
"I think CJ deserve this now " he said and I could feel my heart in pain..
"Mina just know that no matter what I will forever love you.. " he said "also I think your birthday is the next three month, I already prepare a special gift for you because I know I won't be around "
"Where are you going?? I asked
"Somewhere far away where I can be watching you everyday " he said and I was confused

"Hey bitch.. You're not going anywhere, we will forever be together and always stick together no matter what " I said and quickly wrap my hand around his waist and hugged him tightly
Not too long he started coughing..
Dry cough
He quickly pull away and looked away
"I need to go now " he said and was about going
"To where?? Let's go together .. after all we both came here together "
"You can't follow me, I already call someone to pick you " he said and ran away leaving me all alone
What is wrong with him??
Why is he acting weird??
I adjusted my dress and that is when I see red stain on the shoulder of my dress..
It look like.....
Blood???
How... Where??
Eric??
My eyes widened as I started running as fast as my leg could carry me
What is wrong with Eric??

Mina's POV
When I got to CJ's apartment, I was surprised that it was locked, I brought out my phone and tried calling but his number wasn't going through
What happened?
I hope everything is okay...
I recalled how he left me in the hotel, he look sad and devastated before leaving making me think something isn't right and now his apartment is locked.
Something is definitely up and also Eric
I need to figure out what is really going on??
Eric's POV
(Hospital)
"It is really getting worse and I think you just have limited hours to live " The doctor said and I looked away sadly
"There's one last thing I want to do doc. " I said but the doctor shook his head in disapproval
"I am sorry, you can't... It is dangerous for you to go outside,.. First your breathing is 0.56% proper, you refused to come back for your nose surgery back then and it will really affect you" the doctor said and I tried hard to fight back my tears but I just can't.
I want to go to Gwanju, I want to show my mom the real me now, I want her to be proud of me
I don't want her to be ashamed of me anymore
I want her to see the best in me
I want her to know that I have finally achieve my dreams
I want her to know that I am no more the ugly dumbass that she use to call me
I want her to know everything but I just can't
I started coughing badly and the doctor quickly call the nurses
"Eric!!! Someone called
I slowly turned my head... It was Eve
She quickly ran towards me but the nurses slowly pushed her off as they load me onto a stretcher and hurry me out of the room.
Eve ran after me and I was extremely surprised to see her crying.
I felt her small arms around mine and saw the tears that stained her cheeks.
I watched her mouth move, but couldn't hear any sound.
I felt her hot tears fall on my arm.
How did she manage to trace me to the hospital??
"Eric, you promise to protect me, you said you hate when you fail to fulfill your promise so pls stat safe for me" she said
My head began to throb badly as my chest was really hurting me, everything was now getting blur as I began to breathe heavily....
I started to recall about my painful past
Flash Back
Eric was in his room when he heard his mom shouting on his dad calling him different names
"You this stupid good for nothing drunkard, all he know how to do is to drink and sleep around with young girls..." She yelled but Eric father did not care as she pushed her away
Eric quickly rushed to his mother to see if she was okay but His mother pushed him away
"Get lost you dumbass boy, all you and your father ever give me is shame, I am not proud to be his wife nor am I proud to say you're my son " She said and left the room and follow her husband as she kept abusing him

Eric was given the award of the best student in school in front of everyone, he was asked to call his mother on the stage
He was happy and quickly went to where his mother was sitting while everyone was looking at him
"Mom " He called sounding excited "let's go" he said as he held his mom hand but her mother jerk it off
"How many times have I told you that you shouldn't disgrace me in public?? " She whispered as she looked at everyone whose eyes were on them
"Hahaha I am sorry but he is my younger sister son... I am not his mother, he is mistaken " She said and left the place in a hurry

"Mom.. I have pain all over my body, my head hurt, my tummy hurt " Eric sadly said
"And what is my business with that??
"Take me to the doctor " he said " I think I am really sick"
"And where's the money??
"Mom I am sick " he said and began to cry
"Aish.... This is why I don't want to give birth in the first place... I hate kids" his mother complained bitterly

Author's POV
"Mom I don't know why you hate me, if only you took me to the hospital back then... I will be fully okay " he thought as he close his eyes
Eve could see the tears in the corner of his eyes as he was quickly rushed to the ER
She tried to follow him in but was stopped by some nurses.
"You have to stay out here." One of them said just before rushing through the door to help.
Eve stood there for a minute looking through the small window on the door. She could have stood there all day watching them work on Eric , but felt nothing but pain as she dropped to a squat and burst out crying
Kayla's POV
"What do you just say?? My dad or should I say my fake dad asked looking shocked
"CJ is coming to pick me up very soon, our wedding is in the next two days and it will take place in China"
"What!!! He exclaimed
"Yes dad, aren't you happy for me?? Your daughter is eventually getting married to the guy of his dream " I said and he looked away
I know he is not happy with it
He want CJ to get marry to his own real daughter.. How selfish
"But what of....
"Are you planning to say Mina?? I said cutting him short and he slowly nodded
"It seem CJ just use her as one of his one night, CJ only love me and I think the girl is too dumb to notice " I said and I could see how he clenched his fist
I scoffed then my phone peep
"I gotta go now.. I think CJ is at the gate " I said
"Let him enter, I need to talk to him"
"No dad, you need to rest and besides we're in a hurry "I said and was going but I suddenly stopped and looked at him
"Also dad, after our wedding, I promise to give you the best gift ever " I said and quickly walk away
My spirit keep telling me that he will want Mina to be the heiress to the company but I won't allow that, it's either he die or I become the heiress

I ignored all the maids and guards as I walked downstairs to meet CJ..
I open the car and was about sitting in the front next to him but I was shocked when he asked me to sit in the back
"Sit in the back" he said and my eyes widened
"But why??
"Just sit in the back " He repeated and I obeyed him..
I don't want anything that will make him change his mind of not marrying
I emerged into the car and sat at the back
I thought he is madly in love with Mina so why is he suddenly marrying me??
Did Mina break his heart or was he forced by his sister??
I don't really care as long as he is getting marry to me, there is nothing to worry about
"Err... I love the wedding dress, they all look so beautiful that I really find it too hard to choose one" I said but he turned on the music and put it in a high volume
Mina's POV
I had tried CJ's number countless of time but it wasn't reachable
What ia going on??
I tried Eric's number too but it was switched off, I quickly log in to my weibo account and got a message from an unknown user
I checked the profile
It was Eve
I opened the inbox

I need to tell you something urgent, I think something will happen at the concert tonight

Mina, I just found out that Eric is suffering, he needs your help, he has leukemia, he can't fight this alone

Suddenly I got another message from an unknown person it was a video, my hand was shaking as I clicked on it
It was a video of a pregnant woman, she was smiling as she rubbed her tummy
"I can't wait to give birth so that I can name her Mina " The lady said
"Mina?? Do you think the unborn baby is a girl? Another voice was heard at the background
"Sure, she's definitely a girl and I will name her Mina "
The video ended but Mina couldn't think straight as everything was like a dream...
Who is she??
"Eric?? Eric??
Hospital??
She quickly call a cab and was shaking profusely

When Mina got to the hospital, she started asking different nurses about Eric but none of them seem not to know whom she is talking about.
She ran her fingers through her hair
She definitely knew this is the hospital where he is, she had tracked Eve's location and this is exactly the hospital
She was about to walk away when she see nurses pushing the stretcher, someone was lying down on it and the person was cover in white.
Then she sighted Eve who was crying profusely
"Nooo... Nooo.... You promise to protect me so wake up" She yelled
Mina ran to the scene
She felt numb.
She just feels something is dead inside her that will never
get alive. She can't see or hear anything.
Just aimlessly looking at the body that was covered in a
white cloth.
They say it was Eric but she laughed at them how can they even think like that......
"Eve what is it?? Why are you crying?? where is Eric??
Just then one of the nurses removed the cloth and her whole life shattered in front of her.
She took a step back and her heart keep beating fast
She walks slowly toward Eric who was laying peacefully like he is sleeping. She touches his soft skin that was too pale for her liking.
She rubbed his cold skin to bring back the warmth he always had whenever She touches him
She starts breathing fast and touches Eric head
"Eric"she whispered
But Mima gets no response. She felt her own heart- stopping like Eric did...
No no nothing can happen to him, he doesn't deserve this, he don't after all he has gone through so much, he doesn't deserve
this death, he deserves all the happiness that he never got
Mina got angry and yelled
"Eric open your eyes,, open your eyes... Or else you will regret what I am going to do '
One of the nurses tries to calm her
"Stop it. He is dead ...accept this'
She pushed the nurse hand by force
"d on't ...don't say thi.. he is fine to call the doctor they will wake him
Eve eyes filled with tears as he looked at Eric lying down helplessly
Mina was still so shocked to accept this she runs to Eric
"Eric pls don't do this... Stop this acting and wake up,... " She yelled as she break down and fall on the floor
Someone run to her but Anna was uncontrolled she was shaking and then she screamed
"Eric.....PLEASE COME BACK PLEASE COME BACK IM SO TIRED TIRED'
A doctor also runs to her.
'She is in shocked we need to give her relaxan " The doctor said as he took out the injection
