Xander's POV
Xander
At the park
"Don't you just love the fresh air." Mia yelled running in the park, her hair flying up, her face glistering in the sun. This triggered some memory in my head.
Flash back.
"Li Jie, watch me run." Meun Soo yelled running in the wind, flapping her hand like a bird, her hair flying in the air.
"You are going to fall, if you keep on running." I yelled back at her, and she did end up falling with me laughing at her.
"Will you stop laughing at me, I said stop laughing Li Jie." She yelled angrily, cleaning her face with the back of her palm, at the same time wiping her mouth free of sand.
"Sorry Meun Soo, but I can't stop laughing, this is so funny." I said laughing out really loud.
"If you don't stop laughing at me then I want ever talk to you, ever again." She yelled getting up on her feet, at the same time dusting her clothes. She frowned at me and then stomped away, I chuckled.
End of flashback
"Come on Xander, stop sitting there and come join me, the wind feels so refreshing, when it hits your face." Mia yelled, "No thanks, I'm not interested in making myself look stupid, as you do." I yelled back at her. She stopped running, turned around and gave me the middle finger, after that she turns back around ready to continue running, only for her to fall flat on her face.
I covered my mouth with my hand, trying so hard not to laugh, but geez it was so hard to keep myself from laughing, so I did it eventually. "Will you stop laughing at me Xander, I said stop laughing." She yelled angrily, cleaning her face with the back of her palm, at the same time wiping her mouth free of sand.
"Sorry mia, but I can't stop laughing, this is so funny." I said laughing out really loud.
She glared at me then said, "if you don't stop laughing then I won't talk to you ever again." She yelled getting up on her feet, at the same time dusting her clothes. She frowned at me and then stomped away, I chuckled.
Okay..... That felt a little bit weird, it felt like I was reliving the past again. I shaked my head, getting up, maybe I'm just overthinking, and that's all.
I walked in the direction of where mia just took off, only to find her buying cotton candy. This was exactly what Meun Soo would got, after she stomped off. What the heck is going on.
"I hope you are not thinking I bought you cotton candy, cause I did not." She huffed, crossing her hands below her b**bs.
This was what Meun Soo said, when she saw me, why is this day weird.
Mia
I smiled seeing the look on Xander's face, everything I've been doing so far, I did it on purpose. I just want to spark up some old memories in his head, to remind him of who he was back then when we were kids.
"Yeah, whatever. Cotton candy are for kids." He drawled boredly, walking past me. "No they are not, I'm an adult, and I'm having a cotton candy." I argued, taking a huge bite out of the cotton candy.
"That only means you are kid and not an adult." He replied, "Hey! Take that back, take it back right this minute." I growled at him angrily, how dare he call me a kid. I'm not a kid, I'm a grown up.
"Why should I, because it's true, it's true that you are baby." He mocks.
"No! It's not true. If you don't take what you just said back, I'm going to! I'm going to! I'm going to, chase you around the park till you beg for my forgiveness." I yelled, and I start to chase him immediately, Xander yelled in surprise running away and i Increased my pace.
"Mia, mia, stop this madness right this minute, stop chasing me around." Xander yelled, still running away from me but I didn't listen to him, instead I kept on chasing him around the park, till we both got exhausted and fell down to the ground breathing so hard.
"Damn, you know how to run really fast." Xander said exhaling deeply.
"What can I say, I have to know how to run so well, to defeat the best." I replied smirking at him. He stared at me weirdly, shaked his head and then looked up at the sky.
"What are you thinking about?." I asks suddenly, chasing away the silence that has completely taking over.
"Nothing much." He said still staring at the sky, his hands behind his head.
"What do you mean by nothing much, I can clearly see you are thinking of something. Now tell me, what are you thinking of." I insist, probing him further, so he would talk. I know he is thinking of his childhood, the one he had with me. I've got to say, Xander has really grown to be a handsome, strong man.
"I.... was, just. Actually forget it. I have somewhere to go to." He got up from the ground, and dust his clothes. I equally got up staring at him shocked.
"We came here together, so why would you leave me here all by myself. Who is going to take me home." I uttered exasperated.
"I don't care how you go back home, Mia. You were the one who forced me to come to this stupid park, so I'm sure you can find you way back home." His voice was not only cold but really harsh. Without another look at me, he walked away.
Wow, a minute back there, I thought he would open up to me but I guess I was wrong.
Xander
I walked away leaving Mia at the park, I couldn't stay there with her anymore. I felt so choked up, like the park was closing in on me. Memories from my childhood swimming into my head. I'm no longer that innocent, sweet little kid anymore. I am Xander Clark, the assassin and that's the way it should be.
