Mary storms into their mini mansion angrily, ever since Scarlett left , the Reynolds seized all the properties that was given to them so this mini mansion was the only property they have left .
" Did the meeting with your friends end badly" her husband ken asks
Mary scoffs " I wish it did cause I would not be upset like this, I bumped into Scarlett outside the restaurant"
" What " he exclaimed in shock , he hasn't heard from his daughter in four years . To be honest he was disappointed in her behavior cause it cost them their reputation
" Mum what did I hear you say ! Scarlett is in this city ?? " Yvonne their younger daughter said ascending from the stairs
Yvonne is the last born of the family while Scarlett is the older sister (Two girls) . One look at Yvonne face you will know she is pampered, ever since Scarlett left all the attention was showered on her , Mary originally wanted to hook her up with Liam but he severed all ties with their family .
Before Scarlett lost her glory , she was the golden child of the family, her parents pampered her to the core especially when she started dating Liam . Yvonne was like an outcast so she never liked her sister at all but now Scarlett is gone all the attention is now on her .
" Yes darling Scarlett is in the city again even after I warned her never to set foot here " Mary said sighing
Yvonne folds her fist angrily, she knows her parents won't accept Scarlett back again but she's worried about Liam cause they might meet and fall in love again. All her efforts to make him fall for her will now be put to waste , her competing with his fiancee was hard enough not to talk of Scarlett in the picture.
" Mom do you think she's here to make Liam in love with her " she said
Mary scoffs " fall my foot , that is very impossible, Liam is with a fiancee so he won't even look at her , don't worry about her dear she's not a threat to us"
Yvonne nods her head hoping her mom was correct cause she can't bear to lose Liam to Scarlett again
MORENO VILLA
Camilla smiles dreamingly and seats on the couch, touching her lips , she can't get the image of her and Liam kissing.
It was hot and intense, he almost ate her whole, even though it wasn't her first kiss but it was totally the best and she is so going to treasure it forever, like finally he is opening up to her .
She sighs again and hugs the huge stuffed teddy bear, not noticing when her friend Kathrine sat at her front looking at the dreamy expression on her face .
" Girl what's with you " she asks confused cause she hardly see her like this
Camilla smiles and hugs the teddy bear more tightly, imagining it to be Liam " you won't believe it "
She sighs " just tell me , you know I believe whatever you say "
" Well... " Camilla explains everything to her not leaving out a single information
Katherine mouth drops open " oh my gosh , I never knew that stoned faced guy is a good kisser, damn baby girl.. I'll will be hearing wedding bells soon "
Camilla giggles feeling her face going red , she could imagine what it feels like being Miss Reynold, his one and only wife and damn it felt so good . She stuffed her face into the teddy trying not to scream from excitement.
KAIDE PENTHOUSE
Rylan is in his study preparing an email on his laptop, Liam needs it first thing tomorrow morning.
It is very obvious that he is a workaholic , it was as if he was competing the title with Liam because they're both good in it .
Rylan originally wasn't from a rich family but his parents weren't poor either , his intelligence made way for him through school years , it was in high school that he met Liam and they've been friends since then . Being the PA to the CEO of the most biggest Amazon companies in the world made him rich so yeah he can afford anything he wants without stress.
He sighs and sends the email to Liam holding back a yawn , living alone has its own advantage and disadvantage. He can work to his satisfaction without being distracted but he misses the sound of laughter and warmth of someone his heart won't stop aching whenever he thought of her .
Ariel winter was his girlfriend since high school, he had always thought he will end up with her but her betrayal shook him to the core . She was sleeping with another guy for a year and when he found out he was heartbroken, she didn't even denied it , she broke up with him and walked away .
Rylan stands up and heads to his bar downstairs drinking away his thoughts leaving his mind blank .
LUX MOTEL
Scarlett is on a video call with her aunt and Aiden
Aiden : so when I visit you mommy
Scarlett: *smiles* immediately I rent my own apartment okay
Aiden : *pouts* I still don't know why you won't let me come tomorrow or are you hiding another son there
Scarlett: *laughs* baby, you're my one and only honey pumpkin. Nobody can replace you
Aiden : *grins* I love you mommy *blows her a kiss*
Scarlett: I love you too baby
Shelby : *ruffles his hair* alright dear we have to end the call now , your mom has a big day tomorrow
Scarlett: I promise to call okay
They say goodbye and hang up
Scarlett yawns and lies down on the bed , she stretches on the bed hugging the pillow.
The image of her mom slapping her was still clear on her mind , she bites her lips and try to ignore the pain in her heart when she remembers that Liam is now engaged.
" So he never trusted me uh , I blame myself for falling in love with him, now I'm alone with a son he denies being the father while he has found the love of his life " she mummers crying silently.
FLASHBACK [8 yrs ago]
A younger version of Scarlett probably in her late teens skipped happily on the pedestrian lane in the busy streets of Toronto.
" Today is so going to be a good day , I found this good luck coin " she said grinning and pauses waiting to cross the road , without even looking at the traffic lights she dashes into the road. A car screeches and stops , almost bumping into her
She gasps " hey are you blind or what ! You almost bumped into me "
The car door opens and a handsome boy in his late teens stepped out frowning, his handsome features were so obvious, Scarlett gulped trying to ignore it .
" You just popped out of nowhere brat , didn't you look at the traffic lights before crossing" he said coldly
Scarlett scoffs,rich kids of nowadays.... They always think they're the one in control " well fuck you and your stupid car " purposely bumps into him and kicks the boot of his car with her shoes and storms off
Liam looks at her in shock " what the fuck , did I just encountered a patient that escaped from the psychiatrist hospital...
END OF FLASHBACK
Scarlett wipes her tears but more where still pouring out " I wish I never met you Liam Reynolds, you have hurt me so bad that even time can't heal the wounds "

Nxt day
Liam sighs as he listens to what Rylan was reading to him about the company 'Bluestone limited ' they're having a meeting with anytime soon . Their reputation wasn't so bad but they're still not up to his high standards infact all the company they work with can't even reach half of his company.
" So Liam , that is all from what their secretary sent to me " Rylan said closing the file he was holding
Liam drags his gaze to him " why is your voice sounding like that and your eyes are somehow red , don't tell me you spent the entire night drinking"
He smiles nervously, no matter how hard he tried to hide it , Liam will always find out and it's somehow creepy. " Not really I just wanted to forget someone"
Liam scoffs not pressing on the matter anymore of course he knows the someone he is talking about "Don't throw up anywhere near me "
The door opens slightly and a beautiful lady steps inside, she is his secretary, her appearance alone makes men chase after her but not for Liam or Rylan .
" Sir the bluestone CEO is already in the meeting room " she said in the sweetest voice she could form
Liam ignores her totally, his eyes on his laptop, it was as if she was not even in the room
Rylan sighs already used to his behavior " you can leave indigo, inform them the CEO will be arriving soon "
She bows and leaves her heart aching from the snobbish attitude he just displayed.
Who won't see Liam and fall for him immediately, his cold hazel brown eyes alone sends shivers to your spine not to talk of his own muscular features, his biceps were still visible in his work suit , He is a perfect definition of prince charming.
FINANCE DEPARTMENT
Scarlett smiles nervously as the manager leads her into their department, her heart could not stop pounding madly, it won't be a surprise of she has a cardiac arrest. Different thoughts of her bumping into Liam or his PA following in her mind .
" Okay everyone, this is Scarlett blackwood she will be working with us as from today " the manager said getting their attention
Scarlett waves anxiously, their eyes on her were eating deep on her " nice to meet you all "
" Same " they reply smiling
" Okay Scarlett, that side is your cubicle, your own Mini office, all the things you need to do are already on the desk so you can start right away " manager said pointing to the place and leaves even before she could say a word.
Scarlett makes her way to her cubicle trying ignore the curious stares of her co workers , her beauty was drawing eyes to her like magnet .
She seats down and turns on her computer, feeling somehow overwhelmed, of course why won't she feel that when she was in Liam's territory.... Someone taps on her desk snapping her out her thoughts
The lady smiles and waves , she was about her age or younger and damn her beauty was top notch.
" Hi newbie, I'm crystal lane nice to meet you " she said extending her hand for a handshake
Scarlett smiles and shakes it , at least someone is willing to be her friend unlike the rest that was throwing occasional glances at her
" Scarlett blackwood ,nice to meet you too " she said
Crystal smiles and leans closer , this lady seems nice and she likes her already " I thought I will be the young staff forever but here you are "
" That's how life is ... So can you tell me more about here " Scarlett asks
Crystal claps in glee " of course, first thing you need to know is that our manager is always trying to please the CEO so if he turns his back in you just to please him don't be surprised and also as for the CEO *sighs* he is the devil himself, cold , rude and doesn't give a damn about anyone, it's a surprise that he has a fiancee*groans* I hate that lady she's like a white lutos , always pretending to be innocent but she's pretty that I won't deny that aside let's skip to the main part , his PA Rylan kaide *sighs dreamingly* he is everything a girl can dream for ... And he is not cold or rude like his boss rumours say they're best friends and last but not the least is the annoying persky CEO secretary, indigo*scoffs* she thinks she's the boss and a big miss - I - know - it - all .
" Wow " Scarlett mutters, these are part of the obstacles she will face working here
Crystal sighs " it's surprising right *she looks at her watch her gasp* two hours to lunch , I still have a mountain of income statements to type , bye scarl "
She goes to her own cubicle
2 hours later
Liam steps out of the meeting room surrounded by bodyguards and Rylan by his side . He rejected to partner with the company for no genuine reason .
Rylan sighs adjusting his glasses " this is the third contract you're rejecting this week Liam "
" Don't start your lecture woman " he said nonchalantly
His eye widens in shock " Liam for the last time I'm not a woman , why will you call me that , did you see boobs and huge ass on me "
Liam puts his hands in his pockets ignoring the employees that bowed immediately they saw him " you nag like a woman *pauses* and oh gosh do have large ass"
"W-what " Rylan stops I'm shock , the bodyguards followings them had no expression on their face , this wasn't the first time they have seen these two men tease each other
He unconsciously sizes his butt wondering where Liam had that thought from .
Liam stops dead and looks around in shock , he heard a laughter that he can recognize from anywhere even if he's asleep " what did I just hear "
" Hear what " Rylan said still frowning
" I heard that slut laughter " he replied
Rylan looks at him surprised, he knows the person he's talking about but her being here was impossible.
At the same place but with a little distance, Scarlett and crystal heading to the cafeteria... Crystal suggested they follow here cause it is the shortest route to the cafeteria.
" Oh my gosh I can't believe your feet is small, awww how cute " she said smiling
Scarlett groans slightly embarrassed " my feet are not small *stops and bends down to check the size* "
Crystal laughs at her reaction and continues walking she stops suddenly and her face white in shock, she could see bodyguards surrounding someone, no fortune teller need to tell her who that is .... bumping into the CEO was a nightmare she was still recovering from . She dashes back and drags confused looking Scarlett to the only room in the hall way and slams the door .
Liam looks at where the sound came from , that increased his curiosity and he heads there.
Rylan instructs two bodyguards to follow them while the rest stay back ,if the cause of that noise was from the person he think it is then she is so doomed , the expression on Liam's face could kill someone at just one glance
At the room , Scarlett looks at crystal still confused " what's going on , why are we hiding
" Shh " she said pressing her back on the door " I saw stone face CEO at the front, if he sees me I'm doomed cause I've not submitted the paperwork he asked for this morning.
Scarlett looks at her in shock, she started finding it difficult to breathe, she knew that she will have to face Liam but she was not expecting it at the first day of work .
" Oh my gosh I hear footsteps coming this way " crystal groans slightly trembling but her fear can't even match Scarlett's own cause ahe is white like chalk and sweating profusely.
The footsteps keeps approaching and it was coming with speed
Scarlett covers her face with her hands , she did not even know when she started saying her last prayer .
