Crystal was rooted to the ground in shock, her heart was beating rapidly she felt like crawling into a hole and never coming out.
" Oh my gosh girl you're still alive " a voice said from behind, she looks back to see employees with their phones videoing... They have been videoing right from the moment crystal gave Rylan that letter.
🗣️ If I were you I would commit suicide *people laugh*
🗣️ Like hell this is not the first time Rylan is turning someone down but this is the most cruelest I've ever seen

Crystal covers her face in shame and runs away ....they continue laughing at her
LIAM'S OFFICE
Scarlett is rounding off the budget incomes on her laptop , she has been working on it since morning.
*Ding*
A notification enters her phone and soon hundreds were coming in at once, the ding sound was loud and clear .
Liam frowns slightly, he was in a zoom meeting with the managers of branches across the globe .
" So when are you submitting - *ding*
He groans and stands up ..
Scarlett grabs her phone and struggles to put it on silent but her trembling fingers wasn't doing anything cause Liam was heading to her desk and that freaked her out
" Are you deliberately trying to piss me off right in my office" he said leaning dangerously close to her , his face few metres away from hers .
She shakes her head vigorously, her heart was beating fastly and she was sweating . " N-No "
She could feel his hot breath on hers and swear to God she was already getting wet ...
" Hmm I see "
He scans her through his thick lashes , his gaze lingers on her br+asts that was moving up and down because of her fast breathing.
Liam heads back to his seat and resumes the zoom meeting.
" That was close " she mutters looking relieved and checks her phone , all those notification was from the company's group chat . She scoffs and taps on it , her breath caught in her throat as she reads the messages before the clicking on the video .
° I told her not tell him anything yet shit ° she thought and leaves the office hurriedly
" So you're saying the stocks are increa- * a loud slamming of the door was heard * .
Liam sighs and runs his forehead and continues the zoom meeting .
Scarlett enters the finance department panting, she looks around but she could not find Crystal... She notices everyone there was talking excited and pointing to Crystal empty seat .
" Great" she mutters and leaves .
At the restroom, Scarlett found Crystal curled up like a ball on the floor crying.
" Oh " she said and goes to hug her
Crystal seats up and hugs her back crying " it's my fault, I wished I listened to you "
" Calm down it's okay , it's not like he's the only guy in the world anyway "
She sniffs " yeah but he's the guy I gave my virginity too "
Scarlett mouth drops open
" How ?? I mean when "
Crystal explains everything to her still crying
" Crystal! " She said shaking her head " you should know that he was drunk , why did you allow him to sleep with you "
" I was lost in the moment and I thought we had a connection" Crystal said hugging her again
Scarlett sighs " now you know there's no connection and Rylan is a RED flag "
She nods clenching her fist " if I ever see that his stupid face next to mine ever again I'll punch it "
" I love that spirit, I hope it's still there when you hear people mocking you " Scarlett said carrying her up
" Yeah " Crystal mutters sighing " I'm ready to face that too "
" I hope you took pills to prevent pregnancy, you do not want to be in my situation"
Crystal smiles " of course I did , that was the first thing I did "
" Good "
They leave the restroom
RYLAN'S OFFICE
°I was too harsh on her ° he though leaning back on his seat sighing, ever since that incident he has buried himself in work trying to forget about it but it was impossible, her hurt expression still lingered in his mind .
He closes his laptop and reaches for his phone but pauses mid way
" I don't even have her number and why the hell do I think that she will even pick my calls "
The door bursts open .
" What the -- "
Scarlett storms to him and slams her fist on his face ...
" How dare you sleep with my bestie and then dump her in that cruel Manner " she yells
Rylan stands up shocked , holding his aching cheek " are you crazy, gow dare you barge into my office and lay your hand on me , do you want to be sacked "
She scoffs " you want me to get crazy ? *Removes the band tieing her hair in a pony tail and her hairl falls freely on her shoulders * Okay I'll show you crazy "
Pushes the flower vase on his desk to the ground and empties the bottle water nxt to his laptop on his work book ..
" F+k ! " He yells shocked , he has forgotten how crazy Scarlett can be when someone she loves is harmed
" Okay I'm sorry stop all this madness"
Scarlett smirks and drops the water dispenser she was planning to push on the ground back to it's position.
" So you slept with Crystal and rejected openly in front of everyone, that is your number one offence . Because of you everyone one is mocking her that is your number two offence and the third one is you ignored the fact that she is still naive and has no experience in love and played with her feelings making her fall for you "
Rylan sighs and shifts back not wanting another punch from her " look I'm regretting it and I'm sorry "
" Wrong "
She ties her hair back into the high pony tail " I'm not the one that is supposed to hear all these .... Anyway, the video of you rejecting her is trending on the company's group chat , do something to it "
She leaves
He slumps on the chair still stunned. Liam won't believe if he tells him all this cause Scarlett is always acting meek and fragile at his presence
CAMILLA APARTMENT
She is sitting down on the couch, scrolling through her phone and Kathrine joins her .
" So have you told his mom "
She sighs " I'm tired of reporting every single thing to her , I want to handle some things myself to prove that I'm capable of becoming Mrs Reynold"
Katherine nods switching on the tv " your right, reporting Liam to his mom everytime will make you look immature so handling things yourself will do the opposite"
" Yeah " their attention shifts to the tv
Tv host : Canadian armies are currently rounding up the war with the terrorists that has taken place for more than twenty years .. it has been reported that the most of the terrorists has surrounded while the rest are in hiding
" Imagine, a war that has been on since I was born *sighs* anyway how do you plan to handle that Scarlett of a girl "
Camilla smirks and seats up " well it is risky for me but I'm willing to give it a try "
" Fill me in bae " Kathrine said
BLACKWOOD APARTMENT
Mary is going through her jewelry box looking for something less valuable to sell .
" Gosh why didn't I save any money when we're still rich *groans* I'm sure this loan Ken went to get from the bank won't be granted to him
Her eyes widens as she sees a real diamond pendant, it was boldly carved S on it , her hands trembled slightly as she remembers how she got it
[FLASHBACK]
Mary heavily pregnant was watching tv when the door bell rings
" Uh who could that be " she mutters and drags herself up and opens the door
There was nobody there , she hisses and was about to close the door when she heard tiny cry of a baby on the front porch.
She freezes in shock ....
" Ken!! "
Within a minute he rushes downstairs
" What happened" he said rubbing her stomach
She points to the carton on the front porch " I think I heard a baby cry from there "
Ken looks at her surprised, the cry came again and his eyes widens
" Bring it here , what are you waiting for "
He gulps and goes to carry the carton.
Mary opens the carton and gasps in surprise, right there in the carton was a little baby girl about 2 months crying...
" My God , we need to call the police" ken said shocked
" Wait a minute " he adds bringing out a pendant and a piece of paper from the carton
Mary jaw drops open " that is a real diamond!!!! "
He nearly chokes as he scans the pendant " we're going to be rich "
Ken unfolds the paper excitedly and reads out why was written there

Mary sighs and puts the pendant back into the box
" I'll wait for you to come for your daughter so I can get my own share of gold cause if I don't get any I'm selling this damn pendent"
EASTERN QUEBEC (DEEP FOREST)
General John Macgonnel sighs and leans on the desk , his sharp eyes looking at the huge world map on his desk .. he was thinking of the best strategy to attack the remaining terrorists that refused to surrender.
Macgonnel wanted to call of the mission since he had personally killed the terrorist who shot his pregnant wife during an attack making her start labour early but he remembered the oath he took to end the all terrorists and that held him back .
A soldier enters the tent and salutes
" Greetings General! The location of the remaining terrorists has been found and we are ready to attack "
Macgonnel nods the soldier salute again and marches out
" Don't worry Rina I'm coming for our daughter " he mutters rubbing the familiar diamond bracelet on his wrist
CRYSTAL APARTMENT
She sat lazily on the couch stuffing her mouth with chocolates , her eyes was glued to the TV...
Scarlett flops next to her and changes the station
" You're supposed to be watching something different not a romantic movie that won't lift your mood "
Crystal groans " it's not my fault all the station I put is just showing harlequin romance movies infact what am I supposed to be watching anyway "
Scarlett switches the chanel to SpongeBob SquarePants
" Really "
" Yeah it's better than you watching that movie "
Crystal rolls her eyes " anyway when last did you speak to Aiden "
" I did this morning and gosh i feel like appearing in his front and hugging him tightly " she said sighing
" I understand girl, you said he's coming here when his school is on holiday right?"
Scarlett nods " yeah but I have another thought in mind "
She tells her about Liam's coming trip to Calgary and her plan to convince him to take her
" Scarl it won't be easy at all " Crystal said sighing
" Yes I know that's why I'm going to try my best to convince him "
Crystal hugs her " don't worry things will work out "
" I hope so "
CASPIAN VILLA
He is lying down dejectedly on the bed , Scarlett rejection still hurt him and he had a feeling that Liam had something to do with it.
" I hate that jerk more and more , I'm sure he told her to avoid me that's why she has to cook up ridiculous stories to reject me , can you imagine..."You are reading from www.mhiztaemy.com.ng " Who would believe that a beautiful lady like her has a son already"
He seats up and takes his phone from the lamp table, what he is about to do is his only triumph card and he hopes it works out well...
Scrolling through his phone he finds a picture he took with Rylan during highschool graduation, his mom forced Rylan to snap with him amd that is the only photo they have together.
" I hope this works " he mutters and posts it on his Instagram page with the caption ^SWEET MOMMENTS WITH MY COUSIN ^ and he tagged Liam's page.
Caspian smirks and leans back on the bed , I can't wait to see the look on his face.
Within few seconds his post was reposted everywhere, people were shocked and there was a lot comments.

" I suggest that you pay a visit to the company you bought there , an unannounced visit will be good" Rylan said
Liam nods and looks at his face , his eyes not missing the swell on his left cheek " will you tell me who hit you there "
" If I tell you *scoffs* you would think I'm crazy "
" I've always thought you're crazy so you were really not crazy " Liam said
Rylan scoffs " stop being sarcastic, anyway any updates from Milla "

He shrugs " you know when am I hearing the wedding bells "
Liam eyes him " go to church and you will hear the wedding bells"
Rylan hisses and picks another file
Liam smirks and picks up his phone to check the time when sees the trending headlines .... The room temperature dropped immediately and a scowl forms on his face .
" Yo what's with the aura " Rylan said noticing his mood
He hands him his phone quietly, too quiet.
Rylan heart literally stopped beating for a second when he read the news ...
" Look I can explain eve -- "
he starts to say but Liam's punch on that his swollen left cheek sent him flying across the room.
Rylan saw nothing but stars
