It took few seconds before Lissa could move from her spot in front of the closed elevator door.
When she did, it was accompanied with a cursory laughter.
The kind of laughter villains burst into after realizing they've been fooled somehow.
Emma met her there.
"You have your biometrics registered on the door, you can enter," she said.
"No," Lissa faced her. "Leo said to not come here till after one hour, but I'll make it few days. I'm not stepping this estate anytime soon. I've been rash and uncalculated enough."
"I noticed, too." Emma said.
"Noticed what?" Lissa raised a brow.
"You changed since the appearance of Ivanna. Your emotions were all-over the place. It's time to snap back to the calculative boss I knew." Emma said.
Lissa looked at the elevator door again and sighed, not bothered.
"Any other important news?"
"Your father talked to Don Anthony, but it was unproductive. Don was determined." Emma said.
"I expected that, given the Don's personality. I'll go see father myself." Lissa replied and led the way.
"One more thing, Miss." Emma said.
Lissa turned around.
"Island the maid, she's fully awake at the hood," Emma said.

[Inside The Citadel]
Ivanna's little 'run Lissa mad' show ended when the elevator door closed.
After she ended hers, Leonardo started his own.
Even when she tried getting down from his arms, he didn't spare her the chance. Whenever she struggled, he either pressed her shoulder wounds or ribs to keep her obedient.
Till the elevator arrived at the top citadel,, she kept mumbling inaudible things, her arms refused to hold him.
The elevator opened, and he finally let her go. She wasn't prepared, so she landed on the ground.
Leonardo crossed over her body to the relaxation room where he stood beside the glass wall.
Hands pocketed, he stared into the city, eyes going from grim to grimmer.
He looks blue—deep blue.
If Violent Vera were still alive, she'd be clocking 56 today.
He stayed by the wall for over twenty minutes as if he already forgot he brought someone here.
After those minutes of silent staring, he looked back at Ivanna.
She's still sitting on the ground where he dropped her, pale as she stared around the room as if plotting ways to kill him and hide his body.
Leaving the wall, Leonardo want into his bedroom, opening that drawer.
He picked out a little ointment canister.
When he got back to the relaxation room, Ivanna was already on her feet, still looking around.
"If you're planning to kill me and hide my body, take your time to find a good spot then cos it'd be your body I'll be hiding. I'll hide it for a few days till you rot, then I'll scrap off your flesh and bury it. I'll keep your skeletal parts as memento." he said casually, throwing the canister.
She caught it, perfectly.
She read the label on it's body... Wound Doctor.
"Why are you giving me this? Yunno I'll never understand the concept of you beating me up or ordering people to beat me up, then you go ahead and give me ointments for it." She said.
"Cos it's fun," he shrugged, getting himself a cigarette.
When he lighted it up and began smoking, Ivanna quickly stepped back, avoiding the smokes.
She has been getting beatings since last night, so a little smoke would trigger her asthma right now.
Seeing her move, Leonardo picked another cigarette, lighting it with the first one, smoking the two at once to intentionally increase the smokes.
Ivanna had to hold her breaths.
He smiled, taking his eyes off her.
"Giving you ointment is to prepare you for the next beating. Don't get me wrong, I love battered bodies, wounds, but your skin already looks irritating enough" he said.
"If this is to really heal my wounds to prepare me for another beating, then, keep it—"
She walked to the nearest couch to drop it...
"Drop it, and you'll leave me with no choice but to screw you on the floor, teach you a bitter lesson." He said.
Ivanna slowly picked the ointment back, and he stood from the couch he's sitting on. He walked to her.
She backed up, plugging her nose with her fingers.
"You'll receive the tattoo later today, you'll take the omerta oath in the presence of father and the rest of us. After that is done, you're to come here and clean." He said.
"I still have to clean for you even after joining the mob?" She scoffed.
"You're my pawn, wonder woman. You're making me repeat myself, and things would go ugly if it happens again. Today's a special day, I planned not to spill blood," he whispered.
He bent his figure, lowering his blunts from his lips so their faces levelled, eyes striking.
He suddenly raised the two burning cigarettes and pressed it on her arm, burning her till the fire went out.
Ivanna stayed still. No squirms or whimpers. She didn't even blink.
After the cigarettes finished burning on her skin, he brought his thumb to that spot and touched.
Ivanna quickly moved back.
"Don't touch me!" she warned.
"Don't make me change today's plan, either. Keep laying low." He said.
Ivanna didn't break the crazy eye contact before stepped back again.
Her back hit the elevator door.
"Open up, send the pauper out!" Leonardo said.
The elevator, recognizing his voice, opened up.
Ivanna stepped inside.
Till the door closed, their eyes contact still didn't break.
After the door closed, Leonardo went for a shower in his bathroom.
He dressed up in a new, white suit which definitely costs a fortune. He touched up his hair and thick brows, jumped into equally new shoes.
He didn't leave the citadel though, he just went to a hidden private room.
The room's called Mommy Room.
He made few swipes on the electric door before he could open it with his heartbeats count.
The room's not too big, not small either. Dark in contrast with his white suit, but when he turned on the moderate lights, it was better.
A oakwood table stood in the middle of the room, and on top of it, there's a plate of cold refrigerated black chocolate with fork, and minimal packs of wasabi peas.
There's a bottle of rare aged wine, and on that same table, there's a brown coffin.
Fresh skeletal parts are inside the coffin, they belong to Vera.
Vera's flesh was buried in the mausoleum, but her bones stayed here with Leonardo.
Each year during her after-death birthday like this, Leonardo comes here to spend time.
He sat at the edge of the table, picking his fork and digging into the plate of black chocolate.
As he ate, a projection happened on the wall—a video played.
Video of his mother.
Vera never smiled. Leonardo never saw her smile for once.
She was always serious even as she sat behind the camera, recording.
Leonardo watches this every year.
"If you're watching this, Nardo. It only means I'm no more. I've always told you people who fear death are the most useless people to ever exist. I knew my deathday would come,"
She moved her double eyelids before continuing.
"Also, why fear death when I have you to carry-on with my legacy? You're my masterpiece, Nardo. You're like the doll, and I am the doll master. You can't fail me, and remember, You have the names of our enemies in hand, you can always kill your way to them."
She moved her eyelids again before continuing.
"Kill without remorse, it's never a sin. Hell is a gift you should be willing to take, and love? What did I tell you about that? It's the real sin. The day you make that fat mistake, then even my spirit will curse you from hell, you won't end up well. If having a child is compulsory in the future, have one with Lalissa, without falling for her or any other female. Don't forget, I made you to handle my legacy, you're my marionette!"
The screen went off, and Leonardo ate the tenth bite from the cold chocolate, smiling crazily.
"Aren't you such a cowardly diva, Vera? Imagine making all these rules, then dying. Shade seen, but look who's alive today?" He laughed.
He poured himself the wine and drank from the cup, standing to take a short stroll to the coffin.
He touched her skeletal parts inside it, grinning shortly.
"It would be more satisfying to stay alive and see me following the rules. I plan to impregnate Issa when I turn 30. I only need a baby boy from her, to check how my offspring would look..." He shrugged.
That shrug made him feel a shift on his chest from the bandage on the stab, and his mind nearly shifted to HER, but he blocked it.
He poured the wine in his cup on the ground as a flashback hit him.
<Age 10, Crypt>
The crypt is like the oldest place in the clan, rarely in use and rarely entered by anyone.
It's located beneath the estate chapel, and even the chapel isn't in use. No one goes to church here.
After Lissa suggested going to the crypt once, it became a secret place for her and Leonardo.
They go there and hide to eat ice cream, away from the eyes of Vera.
It's a rainy, cold afternoon, and Lissa has been in the clan since daybreak, receiving co-trainings with Leonardo.
She brought the ice cream pack with her when she was coming, but she hid it in her car trunk.
After the first training session, she went to the trunk to get it, and they went to the crypt together.
They sat there and ate in each other's dark company.
Though, Leonardo is barely eating.
"Too sweet?" Lissa asked.
"You knew that, and you still coerced me into taking it with you?" He claimed with an head tilt.
"Coerce you? No one can make you do what you don't wanna do except your mother. She's the only one you truly fear and respect so don't say I coerced you. You're eating cos you wanna eat!" Lissa said defensively.
"I'm eating cos of our friendship oath that says we go through hardships together, everytime." He replied.
"So my ice cream is hardship? You're hard to deal with!" Lissa grinned.
She pulled up her gear from her wrist.
On that wrist, there's a Leo ♌ sign tattoo.
Leonardo opened his sleeves too, and on his own wrist, there's "Issa"
They both got them from the clan tattooist during their friendship oath when they were just seven, and since then, they've been inseparable.
They ate silently as the rain pattered the chapel roof, and then they heard a creaking sound on the floorboards.
They both stood, afraid Vera has caught them, but it was Bobby who jumped inside.
Eight years old Bobby looks as mischievous as ever with that smile.
He snatched the ice cream bowl from Lissa, eating instantly.
"You f+kin scoundrel!" Lissa glared.
"Get my brother some wasabi peas, he likes them. Mother forces him to eat cold dark chocolate too, get him those two instead of ice cream. Ask me for pointers Lalissa. You're his bestie, but I'm still the brother, much better than you." He winked.
"Wanker doesn't know when to shut down the hole on his face," Leonardo muttered moodily.
"If mother catches you two eating ice cream, death!" Bobby said loudly.
As if confirming his words, the top floorboards squeaked again, and the three looked up.
There, the merciless face of Violent Vera lay as she watched them.
"Mother!" Leonardo went stiff.
"Master!" Lalissa gasped.
Bobby continued eating the ice cream, smiling at Vera.
<Present Time>
Leonardo dropped his chocolate fork and picked a wasabi pea pack, sitting in the table beside the coffin.
As he ate one pea, he threw one into the coffin as if sharing it with Vera.
The memory of that day is still fresh. The day she caught her and Lissa with ice cream in that crypt.
She didn't only nearly kill him. She nearly killed Lissa too.
They both fell in coma that day.
Remembering everything made Leonardo smile as he ate the peas.
"Happy 56th after-death birthday, Violent Vera." He muttered.
Then he received a memo. He has a meeting with the president's secretary in an hour.

[Healthood, Island's Ward]
Lissa left the ward not long ago, and now it's just Island inside.
Her body is covered by the quilt, but it still wasn't enough to hide her skin.
A part of her leg is out, and the prints are so darn obvious.
They resemble leopard prints, but faint and bigger in comparison.
Island lay in bed, looking miserable and vengeful, face is greasy but her lips refused to stay same.
It's dry.
Her neck still has the wound from the smoothie spill.
"Island?" Donna Felicia entered.
She quickly sat up. "Donna..."
She tried to get down from the bed, but Felicia held her back.
"I talked to the doctor, but he told me flatly that there's no remedy. Leo intentionally did this." she said.
"I'm gonna remain this way forever?" Island gasped, shaking her head fast.
"No. That can't happen. I can't have these prints on my skin forever they have to be cleared somehow!!" She screamed, getting off bed.
"Donna you know I'm in love with Nino! Even without these prints, my face card wasn't enough to make him look at me, but now with these prints, I'm like an animal to him!"
"Island!" Donna Felicia spat.
Island hiccupped, wiping her tears and backing the wall.
"You want your skin prints gone? I'll make it possible even if I have to break the rules. You want Nino to be yours and yours alone? I'll make it possible too!" Felicia assured.
"I want the Cooper siblings gone, too. I can't land in this situation cos of them and then watch them stay alive!" Island barked.
"Listen to me, Island..." Donna Felicia held her teary face.
"You'll get anything you want. Everything. If I fell from that staircase during my miscarriage, I'd be dead by now, but you saved me, so it's only normal to cherish you."
Island sniffled, nodding before hugging the woman tightly.
"I trust you, Donna. You're the only one I have now."
Felicia hugged her back fondly.

[Bacardi's Planet]
Robert has been here since last night.
After he came to ask for help with Ivanna's release, Bacardi had him trapped, promising him her safety.
She didn't make him dance, he just sat with her like a captive.
Bacardi obviously looks like she's bothered by something, and that sad mood started at exactly 12am.
She has been drinking and drinking.
Her phone ding made her jerk, and after she read the text, she smiled slightly, downing another cup of strong alcohol.
"I told you to stay calm. Your sister got released already," she said.
"Seriously?" Robert shifted closer.
Bacardi looked at him and smiled drunkenly, leaning to his face.
"Is today...a remembrance of someone... special?" He muttered.
Bacardi raised the wine bottle, then she opened his mouth with her second hand. She poured wine inside till it drained on his chest.
Robert drank it all, and she chuckled, eyes so incurably drowsy.
"It's mother's birthday today... she'd be 56 if she were here..." She muttered.
"Was she murdered?" Robert asked carefully.
"Are you a stranger here in this city? You didn't hear the story of the murdered Donna at Marionette Park eighteen years ago?" She frowned.
"Oh..." Robert said awkwardly, recollecting. "I do. Just didn't know it was her, I'm sorry."
"I should be the one saying that, considering the fact that you don't even know if your parents are alive or not, and your tiny little sister has been killed by my dear brothers!" She laughed derisively.
She wanted to drink from the bottle again, but Robert took it.
"You're drunk..." He muttered.
"So what?" She snatched the bottle from him, pushing him off.
"I know I'm still gonna meet my parents again sometimes in the future. I and Iva will receive the tattoos today, and after that, we'll get permissions for visits..." Robert said.
"Go on your knees and pray to gawd to let Leo allow that! He likes challenges, and your sister did that too many times. You haven't even seen his devilish side yet...I pity your sis..." Bacardi laughed again.
She raised the bottle to chug, but it's over. There's no more alcohol.
"F+k it..." She grumbled, dropping it and slumping.
Her body went to the side, and Robert quickly shifted closer, catching her.

[Penthouse]
Don Anthony is still in his gazebo, since last night.
He hasn't moved, just that he's now with Sandra, and Sandra's head is on his shoulder.
On Vera's after-death birthdays like this, each member of the family have their ways of mourning, and this is Don Anthony's way.
In this gazebo.
Sandra mourns with Bacardi in her Planet, but since Bacardi warned her not to come, she stayed here.
She's drinking Anthony's Budweiser with him.
"Mother, or mum?" She asked.
Anthony looked at her.
"Mother is Felicia, mum is Vera. I'm asking you to choose!" Sandra said.
She sounds tipsy.
"Your questions got sillier, Sandra." Don Anthony replied.
Sandra sighed, resetting her head on his shoulder.
"As your youngest baby, you shouldn't make me suffer before receiving answers..." She muttered.
Don Anthony received a call from Nino immediately.
"Speak" He picked.
"I know today is mournful and I shouldn't call, but Sir Leo wants me to drive him to meet the president's secretary at the Lux Hotel." Nino said.
"Approved," Don Anthony replied and dropped the call.
Sandra was already asleep on his shoulder, so he just picked a tobacco stick and fired it.
As he smoked, he stared at the oakwood table in front of him.
Vera made him love oak. It was her favorite furniture wood.
Felicia stood behind the gazebo, watching him silently.
"Mourning Vera when I'm your present wife is so not fair, Thony. So unfair..." She muttered hurtfully.
--
[Cooper Siblings Apartment]
Ivanna had her bath when she got back from the Citadel, and she creamed, using the ointment he gave.
It's really Doctor Wounds cos she felt relieved immediately she used it, just that she's still feeling pains from his cigar burn.
Seems the ointment doesn't work for burns at all.
There's a half-broken full mirror in the bedroom, so she stood in front of it with just her brown provided towel around her scarred body.
Every single scar and wound is caused by him.
Every single pain, both physically, mentally and physiological.
And when she's strong enough to pay back, she'd do it.
For now, she'd lower her head and gather strength.
A phone buzzed in bed, and she moved back, shocked.
How did a phone get here?
Nonetheless, she picked the strange phone and opened it.
No password.
A message sat on the screen.
★ Our deal...how about we make it today? A car is waiting for you at the park with one of my personal guards. Go there, he'd drive you to the state political summit. Kill the counselor.
"Bobby..." Ivanna muttered after reading everything.
Instantly, the door opened, and Nino peeped in.
"Shit! I'm sorry!" He cussed, seeing she only has a towel on her body.
He shut the door and stayed behind.
"Where's Robert?" She asked.
"He's with Miss Cardi. I'll be out for a while, need to take Sir Leo somewhere. But I'll be back before 1 for your initiation." Nino replied.
"No problem... I'll see you when you arrive then," Ivanna replied.
She heard Nino's footsteps as he left the apartment, and when it faded, she dressed up too.
Plain black.
She left for the park, and just like Bobby said, a special car is waiting with Bobby's guard inside.
She hopped in, and the guard threw a gun at her which she caught.
No words exchange. The driver rolled the car out of the estate.

[Sub State Prison, Chicago]
Even in prison, hierarchy exist.
The prison guards are busy shoving the lower prisoners around, beating them, separating fights and clashes.
Another set of prison guards are organizing club sessions for the middle-class prisoners.
But there's only one person on the upper-class prison here.
Thaddeus Armando.
He owns the only suite in this prison, and despite being a prisoner, he still kills inside this place.
Human lives is equivalent to rats population, to him.
In his suite, there's a golfing field behind, and he's currently in that green field with a dozen rottweiler dogs surrounding him.
The Prison Warden is with him.
In uniform, the corrupted man is cheering Thaddeus up.
Thaddeus is muscular, tattooed and veiny. He's a baldhead man, but he's got a thin line of moustache.
Instead of a golf ball, he's golfing with a human—one of the prisoners.
He raised the golfing stick, bringing it down on the prisoner whose eyes are already crushed.
The stick pounded on the prisoner's stomach, and Thaddeus grunted.
"I missed. I wanted to hit your pènis..." He muttered.
Raising the stick again, he hit the prisoner's d+ck.
A mix of urine and blood rushed out of the d+ck, and Thaddeus nodded.
"That's more like it,"
"A visitor is here, sir!" A guard announced by the door.
"I do not want a visitor, you damn—"
Thaddeus stopped talking the moment he saw the face.
Lissa.
She walked in with Emma, but Emma stood by the door, and Lissa came in fully, heels stabbing the grass.
"It's my daughter!" Thaddeus' eyes brightened. He faced the Warden.
"It's my f+kin daughter!"
He hugged Lissa tightly immediately, but then... Penny entered.
"My wife too?" Thaddeus laughed.
"Penny!"
"Been a awfully long time since I visited, Thaddeus." Penny said.

[Crimson Cave, 12~noon]
Hayden has fetched enough water to run him mad, and now...his life feels like it's missing from his chest.
He has filled eighteen barells alone, and there's still two more to go, but if he tries,he might just pass out.
He slept on the ground of the top pavement, staring at the cloudy sky.
It's like a forbidden act cos the gangsters came for him immediately.
They dragged him up and were about to shove his face into the water again when Moo came up.
"Enough of the welcoming ritual, Leader just summoned him."
Hearing that, the gangsters left, and Hayden managed to look up.
Moo gave him an hand,, but he ignored and got up by himself.
"Too egoistic for a newcomer," Moo made faces before slinking away.
Hayden dragged himself tiredly, following after.

[Lux Hotel]
Still in that white suit with a turtleneck under it, Leonardo was escorted into the hotel white room where the President's secretary sat with the team he came with.
"You must have waited for long. I was paying respects to my mother," Leonardo said with a sly smile, sitting
"Mourning in a white suit?" The secretary said, snapping his fingers.
A team member poured their drinks.
"Black is too beautiful to mourn in." Leonardo replied.
The secretary smiled lightly. "Of course, only you would say that..."
Leonardo hasn't replied when his phone began buzzing, but he ignored.
"If you called this meeting cos of the governor's son operation, then it's useless. I already sent his body to his father," he talked.
"Yeah, you sent it in a plastic coffin, and vultures already ate half of his body parts cos you...hung it in a tree?" The secretary said.
"We got a contract to kill him, and we did. Whatever we do in The Outfit has never been the public or governmental issue," Leonardo replied casually, ignoring the wine.
"People are scared, Ghost! The citizens are living in total fear of you and your crime family! Lately, your operations has been blowing up! Bodies were found at Panda Port and the President is in a dilemma!" The secretary shouted.
"Pipe down, I don't fancy noise today, else, your body would be found at Lux Hotel too.." Leonardo warned.
The secretary pressed himself back into the red chair.
"And the bodies at Panda Port belongs to our enemies. Your blind investigation team didn't see their Crims+n tattoos?" Leonardo said.
"Two civilians were killed!" The secretary said.
"Collateral damage," Leonardo shrugged, taking his lighter out to start flipping.
The secretary frowned.
"We made a deal with the government. Anyone who has the dragon tattoo belongs to us, belongs to The Outfit, and whatever we do will be OUR issue. We do not kill blameless civilians except unfortunate collateral damages. This meeting is a waste of time, I hate time wastage.." Leonardo muttered.
"Human lives? Collateral damage?" The secretary shook his head, then he spread his palm back.
One of his team placed a tab on the palm, and on it, a video played.
There's an ongoing political summit at a guesthouse currently. The guesthouse is madly guarded.
No space to infiltrate, but somehow, there's an intruder.
Inside the guesthouse, there's Ivanna!
She's there, acting as one of the baristas, service coffee at the summit.
"She was at the governor's son murder, wasn't she? I assume she's important to your clan, but without the tattoo, no one can take her from the government if we get her. She'll be our own collateral damage too..." The secretary said.
Then he stood and marched out of the room with his team.
Leonardo stayed on his chair, but his face was glitching as his phone buzzed repeatedly again.
He got the phone out.
It's Bobby.
--
[Hellfire Brothel]
It's noon, but the club is alive as if it's nighttime. Courtesy: Bobby.
This is his own mourning location yearly. He erases his grief with alcohol and noise, so the club music is pulsating louder than usual today.
N+ked ladies, dangerous men who're running mad as they tried out the new xax dr%g, molly and bong.
Courtesans and escorts who're getting f+ked in rooms. M+ans, gags, chain rattles, whippings, shoves and grunts.
The mixture of every iniquitous noise gave Bobby the needed cover.
He's currently high on xax, but he's still very active.
A courtesan knelt in front of him, sucking his dîck, and his phone is to his ear. He's grinning.
"Finally picked my call, big brother!"
"What did you f+kin do!" Leonardo demanded.
"I had a deal with her, and also...I promised her I'd have my revenge for killing Wendy. I'm killing two birds with one stone. I sent her to that guesthouse cos I knew it'd be heavily guarded. She hasn't gotten the tattoo yet, so if she gets caught, not even you can save her." Bobby laughed.
He hung up immediately.
"Woohoo! Start the fun mother! Rest in foreboding peace!" He yelled, downing another bottle.
"Choke my, daddy!" The courtesan sucking him moaned.
Bobby grabbed her neck immediately, choking her to death.
--
[Back In Lux Hotel]
Leonardo walked out of the white room and rushed over to the park where Nino is waiting in the car.
"Already over? I guess the secretary didn't have much to say..." Nino said.
"Drive, to the guesthouse. I don't give a flying f+k how many people you have to crush on the road. You have two short minutes to arrive" Leonardo ordered with tight jaws.
Nino didn't wait. He awakened the car engines, driving out of the park like a running squirrel.
Leonardo opened a tool space in the car, bringing out a tattoo gun.
--
[House Of Esposito]
The ballroom is set for the initiation.
Every single mobster is in. The mob crowd is large as usual.
It should have started at 1, but today being a mournful day pushed it forward to 1:30.
The fireplace is ready, the blades and black cards are ready.
The oath is ready.
Sandra, Bacardi, the Don and Donna are ready for the start too, but Ivanna is nowhere to be found.
Robert stood in the middle of the hall, nervous as he watched the patience of everyone running thin.
"Your sister chose the initiation day to run errands for Bobby? It doesn't matter, Robert. She could have come to tell me about it first!" Don Anthony snarled suddenly.
Robert quickly kneeled.
"She was—"
"No. You do not get a chance to talk! Initiation cancelled!" Anthony said.
"No!" Bacardi stood. "Dad, no!"
--
[Political Guesthouse]
Despite the heavily guarded environment of the guesthouse, entry was very easy, and that was the first thing that got Ivanna on edge.
She easily disguised as one of the baristas too, and she has served coffee with the others twice.
She was sent to kill the counselor, but the counselor isn't even in attendance.
She heard from some f the baristas that the counselor is currently out of the country.
Did Bobby set her up intentionally?
After serving the second round, she retrieved her phone and went to the nearest washroom.
You're reading from www.mhiztaemy.com.ng
She dialled the only line on the phone—Bobby's, but it wasn't connecting at all.
She dialled again, but immediately she placed her phone on her ear, cops barged into the room, seizing the space completely.
It happened so fast, as if pre-planned, as if everyone's following scripts.
"Hands on your head!" The order came, echoing.
Her eyes widened, but she was smart enough to use the sprinkler tube laying on the zinc bowl.
Using the fastest number on it, she sprinkled water on the cops, but that didn't hinder them from firing.
It could only do little.
Their bullets slammed the walls and zincs. Obviously, their goal is to kill her, so she pulled her gun.
She pulled the trigger, but nothing came out.
No gunshot. No bullet.
It's empty.
Her eyes widened again.
"Bobby what the f+k how could...damn it!" She took the sprinkler again, but water finished.
Another palaver.
She threw down the sprinkler, surrendering and placing her hands on her head.
There are more cops in the room now, and they're all in for her kill or arrest. She stayed calm.
Her nervousness stayed buried.
Handcuffs were suspended, and they were about to snap then into her wrists when another commotion came from the summit room.
Endless sounds of gunshots.
The cops split. Half went for the summit room, and the other half stayed with her.
As they snapped the handcuffs into Ivanna's wrists, another cop entered, and before the cops could get that he's not one of them, he already shot the four of them with tranquilizers.
They fell asleep in various funny positions, and Ivanna buckled her wrists, looking up in fright.
It's Leonardo, disguised as a cop.
He locked the door and came for her, pulling out the tattoo gun immediately.
Her cuffed wrists saved him from further talks, so he just pulled her hair, tilted her neck to the right and raised the gun.
"Stay still, or you'll bleed. Sounds intriguing, but I don't wanna see blood today." He said, coldly and impactful like a threat.
"You're really trying hard to keep me alive," she voiced out.
"Your life isn't yours anymore, it's mine, down to the bones." He voiced back, thickly.
Ivanna stayed still, her red eyes glaring and her lips smirking.
Then, he started drawing the tattoo.
The silent hum of the tattoo gun filled the corner, plug his loud breaths.
It took more minutes than it should, and before he could finish, the other cops were already trying to break the door from outside.
The dragon he drew on her neck is cutely small and darkly bold, but there's another thing...
In the middle the dragon tattoo. He drew something else...
The Leo ♌ sign.
