Island was going to serve Donna Felicia another cup of coffee before, but that sudden news made her halt.
Her ears were literally burning as she tried to process it, but then it's right in front of her—real with evidence.
The coffee mug shook in her grip, and some of the coffee spilled.
Donna Felicia looked at her, and she could clearly see the disappointment and shock in her eyes.
Don Anthony doesn't look surprised or shocked. He resumed what he was going to do before—sipping coffee.
But there's amazement in his eyes.
"It's been long since I had a good watch, this would suffice," he grinned. "Leo wasn't wrong after all."
Even the mobsters are loud...
• F+kin impressive, if you ask me.
• Dude, I underwent a brutal tutelage and still f+ked my first mission up. My punishment was spending a week in the Painhood!
• You're telling me the two of them made this victory with the few hours tutelage Nino gave them? Joke!
• I still don't believe they killed the governor's son without help.
• Ghost must have done something.
• They did it, they came back! They won! End of story! Y'all are so old!
Different takes and different speeches, but the siblings waited silently for Anthony's next orders.
Nino stood under a tree with some mob crowd, and as he stared at the siblings, he was smiling.
Island's eyes stayed on his face.
Seeing him stare at Ivanna with such admiration made her bite herself in the mouth till blood filled her mouth.
Why did they come back alive?
Lissa said she made the governor surround the hall with pollen so Ivanna would have definitely get asthma attack, and if that failed, she made her lower maids sprinkle devil's beans on their clothes.
One of the two should have worked, so why? Why is she the loser?
Her body trembled with anger, and she had to grab the balcony rail edge to hold. That place got wet with her palm sweat.
As for Felicia, she's already smiling, masking up her disappointment.
"Good job, you two. You just proved yourselves worthy of staying alive and staying in this clan" She said loudly, raising a toast with her mug.
Ivanna's death stare hasn't stopped. After Leonardo, she hates this woman next.
Fake people are the worse.
"I'm impressed," Don Anthony stood like a giant, smiling down at them. "Only a few of the mobsters here succeeded on their first missions, but you both did with inadequate tutelage. Congratulations."
With difficulty, Ivanna and Robert bowed their heads.
"Island!" Anthony hollered.
"Don!" Nino came forward in a rush.
"Get them food, I mean good food, and get the estate doctor to tend to their wounds." Anthony ordered.
"Wh...at??" Island stuttered.
"Are you f+kin deaf?" Anthony faced her immediately.
Island ducked her face to the ground, clamping her hands.
"I'm so sorry, Don. I'll get them done immediately." She said and rushed down the balcony.
Without being told, Nino ordered some mobsters to take the governor's son body away with the shaking wife.
Anthony looked at the siblings again, then he went down with Felicia too.
That was when Ivanna's death stare stopped. She held her throat, coughing out.
She might have fought the fatal asthma attack in the underground hall, but she needs her calming pills. Otherwise, she'd fall seriously sick.
"Joy," Robert held her throat gently, rubbing it for her.
"This is where the pill comes in, right? We don't have any." He muttered worriedly.
"Stop giving me all attention, you're wounded too. You lost too much blood and your face is pale. You need blood." She replied, touching his face.
"They called the doctor for us, I'll be fine but your pills..." He insisted.
"Welcome back, alive." Hilda appeared behind them.
"Hilda!" They both turned at the same time, smiling.
The woman hugged them at the same time, side by side.
"I couldn't sit throughout your gone moments. I was pacing around the estate restlessly. Thankfully, you're back." She said.
"It's all thanks to your ephedra hanky, I would have died in there. But how did you know ephedra works for asthma suppression when I didn't even know about it? Why did you give it to me as if you were so sure I'd get an attack?" Ivanna asked.
"I gave it because this place is too dark to take chances, and too many people want you gone, so they'd want to attack by using your weakness... asthma." Hilda explained clearly.
"Right, brilliant." Robert said.
"And about how I knew ephedra worked for the suppression, it's because the former Donna of—"
She was interrupted when Island came back with the estate doctor. A old grey-haired man who looks professional even at that age.
"Go with the doctor to the Healthood. While he treats your wounds, I'll have the maids prepare your meals." She said with a sour face.
Ignoring her sourness, Ivanna and Robert followed the doctor, and Hilda joined them.
Island folded her arms on her chest, unable to smirk or even scoff.
She's muted.
She pulled her phone and dialled a number—the programmed robot in charge of the surveillance cameras.
"Check the footage of the Cooper siblings holding room this morning, and tell me, who and who did they meet before they went for the mission?" She commanded.

[Voss Mall]
Bradshaw has been waiting for an hour and some minutes now.
He arrived late cos the drive to this place from the underground hall was long. He hasn't seen anyone who looks like Ginny since his arrival.
She specified in the text that she'd be here in the morning, and this is already half past 12pm, but who knows? Maybe something's holding her down in the goddamn clan.
The mall is bustling with crowd who came for the fair, loud with the promo music and their chitchats, but thanks to his suit, he's not receiving scared stiff stares.
He sat beside a tower of tissue paper packs, eagarly waiting.
At quarter to 1, he checked the time on his phone again, but he still waited as if spelled.
He got a new pack of cigar out of his suit pocket and was about to pull out one to light up when the mall LED started airing a breaking news.
~ The notorious House Of Esposito criminals were on the loose again an hour ago at the underground city hall, disguised as a part of the orchestra. The wedding, which later turned to a bloodbath is now an unforgettable function in the Chicago governor's family as his only son was killed, and the governor himself is in the hospital, fighting for his life...
Bradshaw stood from where he sat, throwing down the cigar.
"F+k! Moona failed?"
"And you're about to experience a lot more than failing, Bradshaw." Bacardi's voice came from the far top of the tissue tower.
Bradshaw stepped back from the tissue packs, looking up to meet her unhinged eyes.
She sat there like a monk preparing for her evening prayers with two black basketballs in her hands.
"You must be thinking you're great after the whole mosquito bite show. Too bad, greatness doesn't even belong in a cave like yours," Sandra said from behind a skincare shelf.
Bradshaw turned again, slowly getting the intensity of the situation. Sandra lowered the hoodie covering her head, leaning lazily on the shelf.
"Ginny?" Bobby talked, coming into the mall through the front door.
Bradshaw turned for the third time, and he froze when he saw Bobby's dramatic entrance.
He's chewing gum, smiling, and again...he's wearing one of Leonardo's jackets. He's obsessed with stealing them.
"Your sweetheart Ginny is probably rolling in hell's ashes right now. I know you miss her, which is why I came here to kindly send you to her" he laughed, popping his gum.
"Ginny can't be dead! She can't be F+kin dead!!!" Bradshaw shouted, calling the attention of several people from the mall fair.
"Ginny is f+kin dead m0therf+ker!! You dare touch me with your mosquito? Ginny is only just the start, I heard you have a mother in New Orleans so after killing you, I'll send your mother over too!" Bobby shouted, spitting out his gum.
"Stop f+kin talking and get Ginny out! Where is Ginny!" Bradshaw screamed madly, picking a tomato pack from a shelf to throw.
He could only throw, it didn't get to Bobby before Bacardi thew one of her basketballs from the tissue top.
The ball hit Bradshaw on the nose, and the impact plunged him back to a shelf forcefully.
Everything on the shelf fell on him, both heavy and light, but it was only just the preamble cos Sandra pushed the shelf itself.
The metal shelf fell on Bradshaw.
He quickly blocked with his leg, slipping out.
The shelf fell on the bare ground, but he didn't totally escape cos the shelf sharp edge touched his arm, tearing his flesh in a long line.
Immediately he rolled out, he rolled out to Bobby's hands. The two punches he threw, Bobby avoided by bending, then he slammed his elbow into Bradshaw's chest.
Bradshaw stumbled back, falling on another shelf.
Bacardi jumped down from the tissue tower, landing her knees straight on his chest too.
Bradshaw bled, nostrils and mouth. His lips split when Sandra hit him in the mouth, and when Bobby smashed his head against the mall LED, the LED shattered, and his head caved in.
Bradshaw slipped away again, picking the vacuum cleaner stick from the ground.
He swung it forward, and he was able to get Bobby's arm with it once. Bobby didn't make a sound, he only smiled his menace smile again.
Bradshaw's hand went in his pocket, pulling out his gun and aiming for the three in rotation.
"How predictable, not interesting." Bobby tilted his head.
Bradshaw fired bullets without waiting, and the Esposito siblings switched routes.
This time, it was Sandra who climbed the tissue tower, but as she climbed, Bradshaw shot the tissues, tearing them off with bullets.
Sandra fell on her feet to the other side. Bacardi went to the door to close it, and Bobby went to the fallen shelves to stand on top.
Bradshaw wasted his bullets on the tissue tower, but he pulled out a second gun immediately.
Empty barrel. No bullets too.
He threw away both guns and dabbed his bloody face with his palm, looking at the cruel siblings again.
"In the House Of Esposito, we weren't taught to waste bullets, but we were taught how to make enemies waste them," Sandra smirked.
Then, the three of them pulled their guns simultaneously, aiming for Bradshaw's vital points.
Chest. Forehead. Neck.
Bradshaw hitched, awaiting a miracle as the three pulled the trigger
Luckily for him, a miracle happened.
A power bike bursted into the mall through the glass wall.
The wall crushed to grains as the bike forced it's way in, and the glasses scattered around the mall.
The Esposito siblings had to cover their faces with their arms to block the shards.
It's Moo on the bike, and Bradshaw jumped on the bike with her.
As Moo drove madly out of the mall, the siblings raced out too with their guns intact, but they didn't shoot.
It'd be useless cos the gangsters have already gone far.
"Hands up if you expected this to happen," Bobby said, throwing another bubble gum in his mouth.
"Should that even be a debate? Enemies dying early isn't much fun. We need Monika out of her hole, not them." Bacardi sighed.
"And did the Cooper siblings just win the bet?" Sandra swept her hair back, remembering the news.
"I won't believe shit till I get back to the clan and see for myself," Bobby replied, walking to the car.
Sandra followed him, but Bacardi stayed back for a while.
"Good. It'd have been tragic if my stripper boy toy died," she nodded before following them.
They drove off on the same car, and the mall people who have been hiding in the premises finally came out, all running in different directions.

[Triad Rendezvous]
When Leonardo came back, he wasn't expecting the Matador to be out yet, and he was indeed right.
His guards are still sitting in the waiting room. No Matador in sight.
He checked his wristwatch. It's been 3 hours max, and the Matador is still playing dumb games?
He directly picked the bottle of bourbon from the table, and he was about to crack it on the wall when he noticed the guards aren't complete.
He left five guards here, but there are four of them now.
Also, the four are just sitting, they aren't moving at all.
With two fingers, he touched one of them, and that one fell from the couch to the ground like a boneless scalded chicken.
He's still breathing, but he looks lifeless—as if drugged.
The other three are the same—drugged.
Seems they were injected with the dr&g during a fight, cos now that he studied the room very well, the portraits and emblems on the wall are all in irregular positions, different from earlier.
Also, the Triad guards are gone too.
The rendezvous feels empty like he's the only living thing present.
He heard footsteps in the hall, and he scanned the door till the fifth guard entered, wounded.
"Sir!" He ran in.
"Talk, and make it clear." Leonardo replied, looking around the room once again.
"The Triad knew they couldn't rely on their skills to face us, so after you left, we were served another round of beer which we rejected. I think they spiked the beer, and when we refused to take it, they started a fight without a reason. We killed a handful of them but we couldn't escape their drugging. They injected us with a strange drug during the fight, and we lost all power," he explained.
"So why aren't you down like the rest?" Leonardo asked, giving him an experimental stare.
"I wasn't dr&gged cos the Matador wanted me to relay a message." He replied fast.
"You saw the Matador Chenxi?" Leonardo asked, squatting and feeling the pulse of one of his fallen bald guards.
"Yes, and he told me to tell you that the goods in Hong Kong will never reach the hands of the Outfit. He said...." The guard stopped talking.
Leonardo looked up without talking, demanding continuation with his hard eye roll.
"He said the goods will be taken by the Triad, and the next time any of the Outfit comes to his rendezvous, he'll not only drug us, he'd kill us in our own city." The guard said.
Leonardo laughed shortly as if he had just heard the funniest jibe.
As the laughter turned to a dark smile, he stood.
First, his father—Don Anthony came here, but the Matador sent him back saying he wanted the son.
Now he came here, but he dr&gged his guards and even sent a warning with the last one?
He smiled again, dropping his weight on one of the chairs.
This so-called Matador is scared, and that's why he doesn't even have the balls to kill his guards.
He could only drug them.
Why would someone be in love with death to the point of kissing it?
He invited him here just to do this?
"Get your co-guards to any hospital around and tell them to administer zoldipem on them. They need to sleep off the dr&g or it'll muddle their senses." He told the guard.
One by one, the guard carried his colleagues out of the rendezvous, leaving Leonardo there alone.
He retrieved his phone, checking the news, and as expected, he met the news of the ruined wedding.
The hospitalized governor and his dead son whose body was even taken.
She took the body?
He smirked, pausing his thumb on the phone screen.
"This particular pawn is interesting. A whole lot." He muttered, minimizing the news and dialling the line of the Outfit spy in China.
Yeah. The clan have capable spies in every important country.
"At your service, Ghost" A obedient but cold voice filtered in.
Leonardo stood, walking out of the rendezvous as he talked...
"Remind me, Matador has a daughter... doesn't he?"
"Yes, but she stays in a fortress in Britain, no one has seen her before. No one knows the location of the fortress too." The spy explained.
"Call the British spies. I need the location of the fortress before tomorrow morning, and by tomorrow, I want the daughter's head without her eyes, nose, mouth or ears. Deliver it to me in a gift box. Matador deserves something flavorsome." Leonardo replied curtly.
He hung up, and another car arrived to take him away.

[Hayden's Vet Clinic]
After feeding Dusk the second round of lunch, Hayden went back to his evaluation table where he has been sitting since daybreak.
He learnt one or two hacking steps from Ginny, so he used it to gather the number of top police officers in this city. He has been calling them one by one including the lieutenant.
None of his calls were picked.
He took a large bite from a sausage roll before dialling another line.
He was chewing as the line rang, and he jumped down the table when the line connected.
He spat the sausage away.
"Hello commissioner! This is Hayden Woods, from street 129, my friends were kidn—"
The call was cut, and he threw the phone, grabbing his head tightly before screaming out frustratingly.
Even Dusk was so scared of his scream that she hid under the table.
Tears poured out of his eyes, and he leaned on the table as water ran down his nose too.
Things has been weird since they went missing, and he can't even point at anyway forward.
When Dusk got pregnant, Ivanna was the happiest. She couldn't wait for the cat to give birth and was even counting the days.
Now the cat will soon be due and Ivanna and her whole family disappeared completely.
And then a mad lady came here, called herself Moo from Crimson Cave and gave him an offer to join her godforsaken gang?
The gang led by the merciless Monika Crimson? No way.
That same Moo killed Penny's secretary here and took his body away to gawd knows where.
That same f+kin Moo threatened him that if he doesn't join her gang, she'd turn his life upside down.
She's the same person who said Ivanna and co were taken by the notorious Outfit mafia.
He gulped, hitting the table and wiping the tears in his eyes, not knowing what to actually do.
"Vanna, I miss you. I miss you like crazy it's killing me." He dipped his face in his laps.
--
[Crimson Cave]
When Bradshaw and Moo arrived, they knew they were in for a lifetime of sufferings today despite the wounds on their bodies.
Monika never forgives, she acts.
She's sitting on her high throne, and they're both in front of her, kneeling on the sand with their heads down.
Monika is brushing her hair with a thorny brush, and even as the thorns affected her scalp, she enjoyed it.
With soft eyes, she stared at the two offenders in front of her.
She suddenly dropped the comb and put on her earrings. She then released a sigh and pointed a finger forward, her nails are bloodred.
"Bradshaw, when you came to me crying about Ginny, your ex. You told me to send you into their clan to get her, what did I tell you?" She asked.
"Leader,, it's—"
"Tell me anything that's not the answer to my question, and I'll eat your heart!" Monika growled.
"You told me to wait, to be patient, that there was still time to act." Bradshaw replied shakily.
"And you, Moona, my dear Moona. What was the mission I gave you both?" She faced the lady.
"Go to the wedding, kill the governor's son before the Outfit dies!" Moo replied sharply.
"And when Bradshaw the lover boy left you alone in the mission, what were you supposed to do?" Monika asked again.
"Kill the governor's son straight and call it a day" Moona replied.
"Then why!!!" Monika thundered and stood suddenly. "Why did you resort to fighting Ivanna instead of killing the governor's son when you had the damn chance!"
"I thought I could have a little fun thrashing her before killing the governor's son, and trust me I was almost there! I almost stabbed her to the ground but a bastard punched me! If the punch hadn't happened, I'd have been the one who killed the son!" Moo explained.
"I sent you on a mission to kill, but you decided to have fun with the opposite side?" Monika grinned, taking a mirror from the desk and viewing her face tentatively.
"You seem to have forgotten the rules of this cave, Moona. I'm willing to remind you."
Moo gulped.
"And to you... Bradshaw! You seem to be having a brain rot, leaving my missing for an ex? I'm willing to reset your memories and bring everything back to normal," Monika said.
She clapped her hands twice, and a gangster brought in a tray containing two small vials.
Small but dangerous.
It was placed on Monika's desk, and she picked the first one.
"Bradshaw, this one's for you. The moment you take it, your manhood stays down forever. Let's see how you'd be able to dream of being with a lady for the rest of your life" Monika said calmly.
"No...no please. Leader...no don't do that to me! Leader!!" He yelled a loud plea, but that was like a dog's bark.
Monika picked the second vial, swinging it towards Moo.
"This one's for you, my Moona. When you take it, your heart will only pump one drop of blood per hour from now till tomorrow morning, but you won't die. You'd just be in terrible pains, beg for death, cry for pardoning within those hours, but you won't get any mercy. That'd be your punishment for disappointing me." she said.
Moona held her breaths.
"Now, I want you both to crawl to me here and take your sweet poisons one by one," Monika ordered.
That was it.
They crawled to her, took the poisons, and each swallowed.

[Armando Constructions Company]
The issue of the dead secretary has just been mildly resolved.
His body was thrown to his family, and Penny made sure to specify she knew nothing about his death.
Avoiding problems is her specialty.
She knows this came from Hayden, but how is Hayden so strong to the point of killing a human?
Penny read his bio after sending the secretary to get him, and he's not supposed to be a bloody killer, so what happened??
She's currently in her office, staring at the knife the secretary was stabbed with and trying to figure out the origin, but she got nothing.
"Why does this feel familiar? Is there's something I'm failing to get?" She asked herself.
"Ma'am! Have you seen the news about the governor's son?" Her manager entered.
"Chicago news is not my cup of tea right now so get out!" Penny barked.
"But Miss Lissa has been silent since the news aired. The Outfit killed the governor's son and —"
"What did you just say?" Penny faced her immediately.
"The Outfit... killed..."
"Oh no," Penny muttered, not allowing the manager to finish before running out of the office.
She met Lissa at the hallway of that top floor.
She's already leaving the company with Emma, her maid.
"Lalissa, you saw the news, right?" She asked breathlessly.
"Am I supposed to start shaking cos the thief won?" Lissa replied with a cold, murderous smile.
She walked past her mother, and Emma followed her in a rush till they entered the elevator.
They rode down, and Emma quickly unwrapped the umbrella, covering Lissa's head with it when they stepped into the covered park.
Till they got to the car, Lissa was silent, but when they entered the car, she brought lipstick out of her bag.
"Ivanna... you're one interested girl, a bone who's desperate to get crushed." She muttered, moving her head sideways in slow motions.
She started painting her lips red till she nearly used all the lipstick.
The harder she thought about Ivanna's win, she harder she rubbed, till the lipstick broke into two.
One part fell on her laps, and the other part rolled under her skirt, touching her clît since she's not wearing any underwear.
She relaxed on her chair.
"Drive me to the clan," she ordered, and Emma moved the car.
--
[House Of Esposito, 7pm~ Roses Sanctuary]
"I swear on my life, Donna. I had five maids sprinkle devil's beans on their clothes. The evidence is the swollen bumps on their bodies, but I dunno how they were able to fight the itchiness. It's beyond me!" Island explained to Felicia who's sitting like a statue on her comfortable chair.
"I still refuse to believe they went on the tough mission and won just like that, something is wrong somewhere," Donna Felicia muttered.
"I detected something though," Island said suddenly.
Felicia looked up.
"I asked the surveillance robot to give me footage, and I saw Hilda. She gave an hanky to Ivanna before they went for the mission. I heard there were pollen flowers in the hall, and Ivanna covered her nose thanks to the handkerchief." Island said.
"Don't tell me...." Felicia stood with a deep frown of disapproval.
"Yes, Donna. Exactly. It's ephedra." Island said.

[Leonardo's Citadel]
Wearing just his blue bathrobe and black slacks, Leonardo came out of the bathroom.
He was drying his hair with a small black towel as he walked to the perfectly set living room
His hair was still very slick when he received a mail from the British spies.
★ Matador's daughter fortress found. We're entering now.
They even sent a footage of how they're entering the fortress.
Almost instantly, he received another message. From Nino.
★ Sir, the Don wants you in his office. Your siblings are already there.
The third message followed. From the estate doctor.
★ Sir, I rendered the help I could render to the prisoner girl through my treatment, but you used your whip on her, and only you have the soothing ointment. Also, her asthma attack must have been brutal, she's still suffering from the aftereffects, and she fell sick. She needs THE pill.
"I swear to gawd, any other message after this, I'm starting a war." Leonardo muttered.
As if testing his patience, another message popped up... from Lissa.
★ Been long since we boxed together. I'm currently in the clan, and I'll be waiting for you at the Boxhood.
He switched off the phone and threw off the small hair towel.
He went back to his bedroom and opened the drawer behind his pillow.
He pulled out a box of extra large condoms first, then a box of s+×ual energy pills, a bottle of lube followed.
After that, he pulled out the last two bottles. One is an ointment, and the other one is THE pill.
The in capital letter.
He left the citadel in his bathrobe and slacks only, finding it stressful to change into real clothes.
Even under the cover of darkness, the mobsters recognized that walk, that scent, the full hair.
They were bowing, stepping out of the way, stopping their chatters and lowering cigars from their lips.
Every hallway, every corridor, every tree base and balcony.
No single word from him to reply their greetings till he arrived at the Cooper siblings holding room.
He met both Hilda and Robert inside.
Robert quickly went to block him.
"She won, don't hurt her again... please. She's sick." He said.
"Out. Of. My. Effing. Way" Leonard snarled, hotter than volcano stream.
Hilda quickly pulled Robert out of the way, and Leonardo moved to the small camp bed where Ivanna lay soundlessly on her stomach.
Even without touching her, he could feel the hotness of her temperature, oozing from her skin.
No clothes covering her upper body, just the br@ alone, and the br@ hooks are obviously pressing her wounds down, worsening the situation.
He sat beside her, and a glare from him sent Robert and Hilda out.
First, he picked a single pill from the pill bottle, then he forcefully opened her mouth, but before he could put it inside, her painfully red eyes opened.
She pushed his hand away, and the pill fell, rolling under the bed.
"Don't touch me! Stay away! Who allowed you to even enter! I finished the mission, so there's no reason for you to stick around!" She snarled.
Leonardo's sinister eyes paused, then he rode them back to her, meeting exactly what he expected—mad hatred.
"I will step anywhere I wish in this estate. I'll touch anything I want and stick wherever! I do not care about your aliveness. In fact, your death tops my cravings list, but you can't just die yet. You're paying for the whippings soon, and till then, you'll stay alive and breathe!" He said
In another minute, he rolled another pill out of the bottle.
He made to forcefully open her mouth again, but she raised her hand to slap him.
He caught that hand and threw it away. Her forehead came to collide with his own, but he pulled her hair, dragging her head back.
Before she could recover, he already held her chin and forced her mouth open for the second time.
He threw the pill inside, and it went down her throat since it's very tiny. She swallowed it without meaning to.
She started coughing to spit it out,but he picked a cup of water from the chair and poured it all on her face, stopping her from doing that.
Afterwards, he pressed her bandaged wounded knees very deep, and she groaned, falling back in bed.
"Even in your fine state, you'll never be a match for me, thief. Now that you're stupidly sick, why not stop wasting your energy?" He said, roughly pushing her to the bed.
She fell on her stomach, and his hand went to her bra hook.
With one savage pull, he tore it and dragged the bra away from her body.
"Animal! Wait for karma. I'll kill you so brutally, make you beg for mercy and make you bark!" She ranted, fisting the bedspread.
She kept her chest on the mattress, not making a move cos if she mistakingly raises her body, he'd be seeing her b👀bs which she can't risk.
"Karma is a bî+ch," Leonardo stated, bringing out his lighter. He set the bra on fire and threw it in the room corner where it burned brightly.
"And so am I." He finished the statement and opened the ointment.
He sat back beside the bed and started rubbing the ointment on her bruised back with his own fingers.
TBC.
