One second, Robert's fingers were still wrapped around Island's throat like a gift package.
Another second, Island regained her lost composure and slipped out of the death grip by simply blowing spicy air from her mouth into Robert's eyes
Unluckily for Robert, she had spicy sushi for breakfast, so the air made his eyes shake for a short second, and that short second was utilized.
Island knocked him away, backed the railings and held the edges, raised her two legs and pegged Robert's neck with her ankles.
With it, she threw him, and Robert fell off the staircase, crashing down to the right side of the railings.
Luckily, he was able to land on his two legs instead of his back.
He angrily started climbing the staircase again to go meet her, but Hilda stepped in quickly.
"This isn't good. You should be your sister's calming pill, don't become strong-headed too. No matter what happens here today, trust me you both are at the loose ends. Island wins, so don't make things escalate and just follow her." She said.
Robert looked up at the staircase where Island is still standing like a marchioness with a cocky smile on her villainous face.
Behind her, there's Ivanna who looks like she's holding herself back with everything in her.
It shows with the way she's slowly rubbing her key pendant necklace.
She does that a lot—to calm.
"You have your sister's temper?" Island suddenly laughed, descending two staircases so she's in the middle of the railings.
"Who cares about your temper? It's useless here, fool, cos no matter what you do, you'll be at the losing end! No one wants to hear your explanation, no one wants to be on your side, no one wants to defend you both cos no one gives a shit about you! In here, you both are prisoners, and the earlier you get that into your sawdust skull, the better!" She shouted.
Silence. There was silence after she said those words, just the harsh sounds of her breathings.
Out of the blue, she brought her phone out of her pocket and clicked camera. Using the camera, she viewed her neck.
There's Robert's fingerprints on it, so bold and clear from the choking he did. Her neck is all red.
"Very good, now see how I use this to my own advantage, you clowns!" She laughed again.
"Take us to the Donna," Ivanna said, and Island gave her a scornful stare.
She hates Ivanna's face the most, and she definitely can't wait for her to die.
Initially, Island counted herself as one of the top three hottest girls in this clan, but now with Ivanna here, she can't say that anymore.
Ivanna might be a thieving prisoner here, but she's still inside this clan, so she has to go as soon as possible.
What if Nino sees her and starts crushing on her? That'd be bad news.
Ivanna has to die.
"Follow me, prisoners and Hilda." She scoffed and jumped down the staircase, leading the way out.
Hilda followed with the siblings.
They were all led to the roses sanctuary where Donna Felicia sat behind a table.
She's with a tray of roses, and on her hands, there's a red taboo rose.
She's cutting the black thorns with pruning shears.
She didn't even look up.
"They're here, Donna." Island said with a eagar bow.
"What took so long?" Felicia asked, her voice syncing with the cutting sound of the pruning shears.
"I went to pick them up like you ordered, but getting there, Hilda said I shouldn't touch them, she said I was nothing but your errand animal, Donna." Island lied.
"What! That wasn't the case!" Hilda said in defence.
"But that wasn't all, Donna. When I spoke up in your defense, this Robert here said if I made him angry, he'd kill me! He said Hilda is old enough time to be your own mother! She even mocked your childlessness!" Island continued.
"You're a she-devil" Robert muttered in absolute shock.
"The boss of it all is Ivanna. When I tried to drag them forcefully, Ivanna grabbed my neck and choked me! Donna, the evidence is my red neck!" Island said.
"I'm the one who choked you! Stop fuckin lying!" Robert shouted.
"I'm not blind, and I'm not going senile! I know what happened to me so stop defending shit!" Island attacked, determined to ruin them.
"It was me who grabbed you, you're not gonna lie on my sister!" Robert shouted louder.
From her table, Donna Felicia threw her pruning shears.
It came straight for Robert, but before it could reach his tummy, Robert moved out of the way.
The shears hit one of the roses pot, and that pot shattered.
Surprisingly, Ivanna has been quiet. Even Hilda hasn't said a word.
Felicia finally looked up, and when she saw the pot that was shattered by the pruning shears, she shifted her eyes to Robert.
"That particular pot of 'Cardinal de Richelieu' rose costs 1.5m, and I don't care how you're gonna do it, but you're paying me back, Robert Cooper." She said.
Robert's eyes increased in width immediately. He gulped.
Felicia stood. "You mocked my childlessness? Said Hilda is old enough to be my mother?"
"I didn't say that! I never said anything like that!" Robert denied.
Felicia jumped over the table, professionally even in the flowing gown she wore. It was too clean.
Robert was the target, cos she broke few more roses pots to get to him, and she grabbed his hands, shoving the two into a thorny pot of dahlia flowers. The thorns entered Robert's palm so deep he cried out.
He nearly peed, cos as the big thorns entered his palm, they were prickling his heart as well.
Ivanna stayed chill, but her hands are wrapped as she tried to keep her chillness intact. This ain't the time to act temperamental.
If she does, she'd ruin things.
Hilda secretly held her hand, urging her to continue staying silent.
Island is smiling, loving Robert's cry of agony so much.
By the time Felicia let go of him, his two hands are bleeding profusely, and they have so many clustered black thorns hooked inside.
Robert sat on the ground, crying.
Felicia faced Hilda.
"I used to like you, Hilda. But seems I was wrong about you. Now you'll support prisoner thieves over your Donna? Huh?" She said.
Before Hilda could reply, she already punched the woman on the back.
Hilda cried like a baby, and her body trembled as she fell over another table, holding her back and wailing.
"Now on to you, Ivanna Cooper, the same thief who entered the reserve forest last night." Felicia faced her.
Ivanna didn't move.
"How dare you hurt my maid? Where did the guts germinate from? You dumb crap!" Felicia spat.
"Don't the Sinners Assembly have audiovisual cameras? Why not check the cameras for who's saying the truth here?" Ivanna said.
Sensing her lies would get exposed, Island quickly stepped into the scene...
"Are you saying I'm lying to Donna? Another offence! How dare you try to coerce Donna into checking cameras! Do you think you're that special?"
"Take her to the Painhood, open the smithereens room and make her kneel on top of broken bottles till Leo arrives. Leo will be the one to pronounce her verdict. It's hightime she went off." Felicia ordered.
Guards were called in.
One took Ivanna away, and the other one pushed Hilda and Robert out of that sanctuary.
Island instantly kneeled.
"I'll always be your loyal follower. Thanks for always having my back."
"Get up," Felicia dryly replied, and Island quickly scrambled up.
"Contact the roses shop for a replacement of the broken pot, and change the dahlia flowers too. I hate blood on my things." Felicia said.
"Of course! I'll do that, Donna." Island said, so full of herself.
"Donna!" A guard from Bobby's Suite came inside.
"Any chaos incoming?" Felicia gave him a scowl.
"Master Bobby is up!" He announced.
"Really?" Felicia happily gasped.

[Armando Mansion]
It's half past 10am, and Penny is still at home, not looking like she's going to work at all.
She's still waiting for Lissa to return from wherever she went, she's losing all patience.
She stood beside the luxuriously filled cellar, an empty mug of tea in front of her.
Her palm is resting on the table edges as she stared into space, imagining all possible scenarios.
Is Lissa really with a man?
Is she with a —
Her thoughts screeched when the maids escorted Lissa in.
She's back.
"Lalissa!" Penny slid out of the cellar to obstruct her.
Lissa looks the same as always. Organized, composed and perfect.
The usual i-don't-give-a-F look is installed in her eyes.
"Where did you go again, Lissa?" Penny demanded.
"To see an old acquaintance?" Lissa replied, going past her and moving to the staircase.
"We both know your only old acquaintance is Leo! You have no other friend except him and maybe Bobby, so tell me where you always go!" Penny yelled.
"Stop yelling, mum! This concept of raising your voice to add more effect to your strictness doesn't work on me, it only makes you look stupid so...stop! I don't have to explain my every move to you I'm nearing 30 for the love of Satan! Get off my case!" Lissa said.
She resumed going upstairs.
"Lalissa!!!" Penny screamed. "You can't be seeing any other man that's not Leo!"
Lissa stopped on the staircase, staring down at her mother with a snicker.
"You're so childish, and shallow. You think it's a man I always go to see? I'm going on a drive with Leo tonight if that convinces you. Gawd, you're exhausting for a mum!"
With that, she raced upstairs.
Penny took a deep breath, calming herself down subsequently.
"It's not a man? Thank gawd!"
--
[Lissa's Room]
Lissa went straight to the bathroom, stripped herself off her clothes and sat on the bare ground of the bathroom wearing just her undies.
She leaned on the edge of the wide black bathtub, resting her chin on it and staring into the water.
She dipped her long hair into the water, then she pulled it out and wringed it to squeeze out the water.
She did that multiple times as if obsessed, and she suddenly wants to go fishing with Leonardo.
She picked her phone and dialled her maid Emma.
Emma entered the bathroom even before the call ended.
"At your service, miss."
"I'm going on a drive with Leo tonight, and I have no interest in wearing any of the bikinis in my closet. Call my wardrobe manager, tell her to send a new set of bikini. I want the pants to be complete net material, and the bra only has to cover my nîpples. I wanna feel naked when I wear it." She said.
"Copy that," Emma stepped back, leaving the bathroom.
Lissa finally had her bubble bath, and when she was done, she didn't bother wrapping towel to cover herself.
N+kedly, she walked out of the bathroom to her closet, standing in front of the full-length mirror to check out her own perfection.
Looking at it like this, she feels full.
The hips, the waist, the navel, the arse cheeks, full br+@sts, tempting p+$s¥, and the flattest tummy.
Small shoulders.
Beautiful grey eyes.
Aphrodite—the goddess of beauty would be jealous of her at this point.
She blew steam from her mouth into the mirror, then she wrote LEO inside the steam before stepping back.
She dressed up for work with the next one hour, and when she walked out of the room, Emma was already waiting to escort her downstairs.
"Miss, you said you wanted eggplant parmesan for breakfast. It's ready at the dinning table." She said as she walked fast beside her.
"I lost appetite, trash the meals." Lissa crankily replied, getting downstairs.
Penny is still waiting to go to work together with her.
"Did I just hear you're not interested in breakfast?" She asked, wanting to touch her hair..
Lissa moved back.
"What happened again? Tell me." Penny asked worriedly.
"You heard what happened last night? In the clan?" Lissa replied.
"How the thief girl entered the reserve forest? Everybody heard, but she was captured back, and Leo punished her, isn't it?" Penny said.
"She tied him up, beat him up, and Leo wouldn't even allowed me break her legs!" Lissa snapped.
"What! And Leo allowed her to touch him?" Penny gasped.
"He can't feel pains, you know that. His CIP is only getting worse, and he looks for pain with every slight opportunity. Do you know how many times he has jumped in front of enemy bullets during missions? I guess he thought her whippings would bring pains, but he was wrong. His skin peeled too much, and of course my mood got affected. You know how much I hate him wounded." Lissa explained.
Penny stayed quiet, and Lissa walked past her, going out of the house.
Emma quickly rushed after her.
Penny grabbed her phone from her bag, boiling as she dialled Donna Felicia's line.
Initially, she wanted to ask Lissa if she knew anything about the disappearance of the Cooper couple, but now isn't the right time.
She has to settle the thieves case first, maybe it's hightime they died.
"Penny?" Donna Felicia's voice filtered in from the other end.
"I have something to tell you, Donna." Penny said.

[Marionette Amusement Park]
As an abandoned park, it's as silent as a suburban graveyard.
The air is frigid, and it still carried the scent of blood from years back. The cries of a particular kid.
Every single ride is locked with rusty padlocks, but the carousel has several chains snapped around it like a cursed object.
In the middle of the chained carousel, Leonardo sat. One leg propped up and the other one rested on the chains, a cigar between his fingers and his lighter in his second hand.
The flipping sounds of the lighter impregnated the air, and the smokes from his cigar mixed with it.
There's dried blood on that chained carousel—Violent Vera's blood.
She died here, right on this carousel with Leonardo beside her on that bitter day, many years ago.
This park was locked since then. Leo had it locked, and not even a fly can come close.
A stubborn kid secretly entered and played on this carousel last year. Leonardo crippled him, and till now, the kid is living on a wheelchair.
He pulled his phone out of his suit pocket, checking his new texts.
Sandra: Bob is awake.
Felicia: I need you to come punish someone for me. The thief girl.
Lissa: I might hate you right now, but I'm not cancelling our drive tonight. I'll see you at 7, and you should look forward to what I'm gonna wear.
Anthony: I'm meeting with the Matador. If it fails to go well, then we'll have to kill him in Chicago.
Cardi: Where you at? You can't just disappear like that.
Leonardo got bored of the unending messages and just tucked the phone back in his pocket.
He actually left Bacardi after they took the debt from the Mayor's wife, and he came here alone.
Now he has had enough alone time, so he finished his cigar and jumped down from the chained carousel.
He walked out of the park, the sounds of his lighter followed him out like a jinxed melody.
Below the chained carousel, a broken inhaler lay trapped in the middle of green thorny shrub.

[Randolph Street]
With a water view surrounding the rendezvous, it's the best place for dark meetings.
The house stood in the middle of the waters with the Triad guards standing at tension around it.
The Triad is the Chinese mafia, headed by the Matador Chenxi.
Months ago, the Outfit had a dangerous bet with a popular Chinese gang over a death duel.
It was Leonardo who went to represent the clan in Hong Kong, and of course he killed the five opponents he entered the ring with.
Their win package is the shipping of nicotine and tobacco into Chicago, but that was when the Triad stepped in, claiming that so far the Chinese mafia is still in operation, there's no way the Outfit is taking shipments out of the country.
Since then, the goods has been stuck in Hong Kong, and maybe it's intentional or not... Leonardo hasn't been doing anything about it.
Smoothly, Nino drove Don Anthony was driven into the water view house through the underground park.
Nino quickly rounded the car to open the wide door for Anthony, and the bulky man came out with the air of dangerousness shrouding him.
Together, they approached the steel door which is also decked with deadly Chinese guards.
"Inform the Matador that I'm here," Don Anthony instructed.
"The Matador doesn't want to see you. You have no appointment, so go back, Anthony." The guards replied.
"You damn swine!" Nino wanted to strangle that one on spot, but Anthony raised his hand.
Nino stepped back.
"You were specific, the Matador doesn't wanna see me. So who does he want to see?" Don Anthony asked.
"Your son, Leo." The guard replied.
Anthony smiled, turning his back and returning to the car with Nino.
"Don, this is something we can settle with a few bullets here and there. These motherf+kers are tough, but the two of us are enough to take them down. How dare he say he doesn't wanna see you after we journeyed here for half an hour on helicopter and car? And later when we retaliate, people will say the Outfit is evil?" Nino said angrily.
"Calm down, Nino." Anthony removed his shades. "He wants Leo? He gets Leo."
He returned his shades after saying just that line.
"Drive," he ordered.
Nino drove off.

[An Animal Shelter]
Before Ivanna and her family went missing, Hayden often came here with Ivanna to volunteer, and as a place with lots of memories for the two of them, Hayden has been coming here alone.
He just finished treating the sick chicks, and he was washing up in the bathroom when the shelter owner spoke up behind him.
"Your girlfriend still hasn't been found?"
Hayden stood straight, facing the plump low-haired woman.
"Yeah, we're still on it, and she's not my girlfriend for now. We're on a break remember?" He said.
"It doesn't matter. You both are on a break, not break-up. If she didn't go missing, I'm sure you both would be back to your dating era already. You were both adorable." The woman said, and Hayden smiled.
He left the shelter after getting some cereals for Dusk, and he rode a taxi back home, but entering his clinic, he knew something was amiss.
No, everything's wrong.
He left the lights off, but they're currently on.
He left his equipments room door open, but it's closed now.
Instinctively, he dropped his cereal bag on the couch, grabbing his phone to call the cops quickly, but he was knocked from behind, and the phone flew off his hands.
He fell.
A glass cup of water was thrown at his head on the ground.
He groaned, twice and painful before his blood trickled down his temples.
When he saw the blood, he groaned again, wanting to stand. A strong leg was placed on his chest, pressing him down with force, then the face of the intruder came to view above his weak body.
It's Mrs. Penny Armando's secretary. A lanky but criminal-looking man.
"Where are your friends parents? You took them from the hospital, didn't you? Where did you keep them?" He demanded with rough gravelly voice.
"I..." Hayden started, groaning again. His skull is vibrating. "I... don't..."
"Where is the Cooper couple!!" The secretary yelled, raising another glass cup to shatter on his head.
From behind, he was stabbed with a long curvy combat knife.
The knife came out of his chest, and his blood splashed Hayden's horrified face on the ground.
He fell like a weak block, crumbling so heavily, his head broke the floorboards.
He crashed into the woods.
Moo's smiley face came to view, her hands red with the secretary's blood.
She wore armless this time, and now... Her tattoos are clearer.
Crimson—with plus sign in place of the O (Crims+n)
In spite of the pain coming from his head, Hayden's eyes widened.
"You're... you're a part of the Crimson Cave.... you're..." He gasped.
"Welcome, to my world... Hayden." Moo squatted beside him, touching his bloody head with a finger.
She brought the bloody finger to her mouth and licked slowly.
Hayden fainted.

[Crimson Cave, Bradshaw's Room]
After several mulling over Monika's words, Bradshaw finally decided to visit the underground news hub.
The hub is an information exchange hub for top gangsters, mafias and people who can afford it.
He stood in the middle of his dark room and typed "HOUSE OF ESPOSITO RECENT THIEVES"
The pictures displayed on his screen immediately, and his eyes dilated when he saw the picture of their junior sister like Monika mentioned.
"Ginny? No...how? How did I..."
He stopped talking, threw the phone and left the room with wide steps.
He was pushing the fellow multitude of gangsters who're drinking at the concreted corridor out of his way, and they're all giving him the "what's happening" look.
He jumped the last brick wall and landed in Monika's turf.
He entered her court, meeting her on seat, arranging guns from the armory.
"With the shocked look on your face, I take it that...." She looked up. "You finally checked out the junior sister's identity."
"Ginny, my ex girlfriend." Bradshaw replied, going on his knees.
"Please...Leader, please send me into their clan. I have to get her out. I don't care about her siblings, but Ginny has to be with me again."
Monika smiled, dropping the gun she's holding.
"Don't rush, there's still a whooole lotta time to act."
--
[House Of Esposito, Bobby's Suite]
Bobby isn't just crashing out, he's legit mad at everybody and doesn't even want to see anyone at all, but as hard as he shoved them off, they stayed.
Sandra and Bacardi and Felicia stayed, but he's not to be coaxed.
"Injecting you to coma was dad's idea, so get yourself together and stop being a prick!" Bacardi snapped.
"You should have stopped him!" Bobby pushed Bacardi away.
"You should have stopped him from injecting me into coma!"
"It was to make the poison flush out of your system cos you were in too much pain! Look, you're awake and you're fine!" Sandra shouted.
"Do I look like I wanted to escape the pains? I am not a coward, never been a coward! I love enduring whatever life f+kin serves! Bradshaw succeeded in infecting me with the pain mosquito, and you dared sent me to coma for 24hrs? Do I look like a damn child??" Bobby glared.
"Bobby," Felicia touched his forearms gently. "Leo was against it, but your father couldn't bear to see you in pains, and—"
"Of course my Leo would be against it cos he's not as pea-brained like the rest!" Bobby cut her off.
"Bob don't talk to mum that way!" Sandra cautioned.
"Then tell Mama Esposito to stop trying to calm me down! I'm not in the mood for peace! I wanna kill!!!" Bobby yelled, his anger ballooning.
"There's a lot more important things that needs attention in the clan right now, and this isn't the right time for your hysteria. Tone it down." Bacardi said seriously.
"I'm not in the mood to partake in anything at the moment, I have to see dad and tell him just how unneeded his move was!" Bobby insisted.
"Leo returned Wendy's body to the orphanage, for your information." Sandra said.
"Simple, I'll just go get her back, cut her to parts and put it in the dogfood timetable." Bobby shrugged, bringing out one of Leo's stolen shirts from his closet. He put it on and left the Suite.
Felicia went after him.
"You're not interested in anything at the moment? Even if it involves killing the thief girl?" She said.
Bobby turned, and their eyes met.
"She committed another sin, and her death has been scheduled for 6pm at the Sinners Assembly. It's some minutes to 6, we should go now. You said you wanted to kill someone, she's available for the kill." Felicia smiled softly.
--
[Sinners Assembly Quarters, 6PM]
Just like the other time when Ivanna and her siblings stepped the quarters for the first time, it's full again.
The mob crowd is always so tight, and loud. Just like now.
Ivanna was brought into the quarters with handcuffs on her wrists, and her knees are bleeding so much.
She was made to kneel on broken bottles for hours, and her knee bones have been probably affected.
It took a lot of energy to suppress her temperament, but she was able to do it and not make any move that'd put Robert in trouble again.
As she was made to kneel in the middle, the chatterings of the mob cobbed her ears, and she had to block out their vile words.
She's seeing Robert who's standing beside Hilda somewhere in the middle of the mobsters.
His hands are bandaged, and Hilda is holding him as if protecting him.
They both look too scared, so Ivanna gave them a small smile despite the fact that death is smelling on her.
Donna Felicia entered with Island, and till they got to the judgement seat, Island was smiling.
Sandra, Bobby and Bacardi entered too, and they all stayed at the door wordlessly, just staring at the crowd and awaiting the show to commence.
When Donna Felicia relaxed on her chair, the mob noise stopped.
"Ivanna Cooper didn't only choke my maid, she called Hilda old enough to be my mother, she entered my sanctuary without permission, she broke a pot of my favorite flowers," she said.
"No..." Robert wanted to talk, but Hilda covered his mouth.
"That's not true... Ivanna didn't do any of these things...she didn't..." Robert whispered, shaking his head.
"If you talk now, you'll just escalate the whole thing. Stop, please..." Hilda whispered back.
"But my sister is..."
"Shhh..." Hilda shushed, and he bit himself on the tongue intentionally.
"Last night," Donna Felicia continued. "She didn't only escape into the reserve forest, but she captured Leo and whipped him, tied to a tree."
The mob chatterings broke again.
• The heck!
• How's that possible!
• Holy crap! It's insane!
• Death!
"Of course Leo allowed it cos of his pain tendency, but still...it's unforgivable..." Donna Felicia continued.
"Then the highest sin, is calling me childless. She mocked me with childlessness!"
• Death!!!
The mobsters yelled again, the quarters growing so hot.
• Kill her!!!!
• Kill her!!!!
• Kill the bîtch!!!
Ivanna remained there, not even opening her mouth to talk cos it's highly useless.
What would she say when it's the so-called Donna of the clan talking?.
Would they believe her over the Donna? Nah.
Her eyes met with Robert's again, and Robert swallowed emptiness.
She saw his throat bobbing nervously.
Hilda is still holding him down.
The Esposito siblings by the door aren't talking yet, too.
It's like they planned not to talk tonight, cos it's strange.
Island is the happiest in the quarters.
Finally, Ivanna is going.
"I order death for her under the guillotine blade!" Donna Felicia said authoritatively.
"Eat back your words, Felicia." A accented baritone voice boomed in the quarters as Leo entered with Lissa behind him.
The mobsters went silent again, and Donna Felicia's lips twisted.
"I informed you about this over the phone, I told you what she did!"
"Did I say yes to your request? Felicia?" Leonardo glared, eyes raw with corrosive resentment.
The mobsters couldn't even look him in the eye.
"I don't think your yes is very much needed, considering the fact that this is my husband's clan! Anthony Esposito is the current Don, and as his Donna, I have as much authority! And you might refuse to call me mother, but I am your mother!" Felicia clapped back.
He looked at Ivanna's angle, and Ivanna's loathsome look clashed with his unfiltered spite.
"I'm making her pay a blood debt for the whippings she did in the reserve forest, so unless I give the order, no one kills her." He delivered his words like a finished verdict.
"Like I said, this is my husband's turf, and you do not qualify to order me if you can't call me mother!" Felicia insisted, the tension getting worse.
The fall of a feather would be heard in the quarters right now. Too silent.
If silence could ruin a building, the quarters would crumble.
"Mind your words, Donna Felicia." Lissa said, getting mad too.
"This is a family matter, Lissa. Stop fuckin talking!" Felicia said.
"And how the f+k are you family?" Leonardo raged, facing her.
"The only thing deceiving you is that damn ring on your finger, and the hard f+ks father gives to you nightly on his bed without condom. But despite the bowlfuls of c+m inside you, you don't have a child."
Felicia's eyes widened.
"You said she called you childless, did she lie? Where is the lie?" Leonardo continued, not minding the blade-like sharpness of his harsh words.
Felicia's veins popped.
"Leo!" She growled,, balling her palms and hitting the judgement table loudly with them.
"Come here, call the name of your child, let's see if anyone will answer, barren giraffe!" Leonardo exploded.
TBC.
