[Same Night, Ryker's Bedroom]

The bedroom is larger than the whole one room apartment combined. Bed to the door feels like a country apart.

Lights are off except the bright spotlight above his bed, and that one did the bright job of shinning him as he lay in bed, clutching at a teddy bear.

He knows exactly how Shayla's breathings work. He knows the rhythm and how many breaths she takes per minute, so he had a technologist program the heartbeats into the bear.

The teddy breaths like her, and he has been sleeping with it for the past thirty years, always clutching it.

The flat screen in the room is on, but the TV screen is dimmed, measuring the amount of light reaching the bed.

His eyes are drowsy, and he's caressing the teddy's little ears as he watched the TV.

How he claimed her one thousand years ago in front of Frost H2O Headquarters is the video he has been watching repeatedly.

He's on the 250th watch, and it seems he's just starting.

That was the last time he saw her blush. That was the last time he saw her softness. That was the last time he saw her genuine beautiful smile.

In Luminaria, the last facial expression he remembers from her was when he stabbed her— disappointment.

That's what he sees whenever he closes his eyes to sleep.

Her blood.

The cries of their lost baby.

Her bloody confession.

He sniffled, hugging the teddy bear tight, the rhythm of the heartbeat slamming on his chest.

He kissed the teddy's head, grabbing the remote to replay the video.

He smiled when he saw how she smiled after he called her his dearest.

But thinking about how he stabbed her makes him think maybe he doesn't deserve her after all.

Does he really have the right to claim her from Caspian?

Her being beside Caspian is killing him. Her getting touched intimately by him is making him go crazy everytime his mind creeps there.

Her calling Caspian 'My Man' feels like the most bitter thing he has ever heard, but does he have a right to be bitter about it?

She doesn't even seem to be with her memory, and that's another pain.

Even if she's with her memory, she'd probably hate him more.

What's she doing with Caspian now?

Are they both in bed? Cuddling?

Are they...

He shut off the thoughts, and as a thin bead of tear fell from his eye, he wiped it with his thumb.

His phone buzzed beside the pillow, and he licked his lips, picking it up.

It's his Manager Feng Bao from the China branch.

The manager is dead, but his descendants kept taking over the managerial position, and this one is the eleventh descendant.

"Yes?" Ryker got off the bed.

He's still holding Shayla's heartbeats teddy bear to his side.

"We've balanced out the anomalies in the broadsheets. I managed to stretch it to the Russian headquarters too, and we kept everything confidential. We can resume work any moment from now." Feng Bao reported.

"I'd like a change of name, though." Ryker replied, lifting one of the blinds and leaning on the glass.

"That'd be cool. We'll just rebrand, sir. We're so back." Feng grinned.

"Instead of Frost H2O, we'll be FrostFire, and our comeback top jewelry will be RyLa, I mean the sapphire corner rings." Ryker said.

"Grabbed, sir. I'll send you the fonts before daybreak, right on it." Feng Bao replied, and Ryker sighed.

"Get to work,"

He hung up, throwing the phone back in bed before giving his whole attention to the teddy bear.

He kissed it again, and the imagination of Caspian with Shayla made him fold his left palm so much that his nails entered his palm, making blood drop on the white floor

[Cold-Hearted Harem, Shayla's Room]

Sitting in bed wearing her black nightie is Shayla.

Her long hair reached the bedsheet in her sitting position, and her legs are on top of each other.

There are shinny anklets on her ankles, one of Caspian's birthday gifts to her yesterday.

As she sat in bed, her mind went to the bracelet from the watermelon. She picked it up from where she had kept it under her pillow.

It's a crystal-bead bracelet, colour blue and gold.

After killing the guard earlier, she still picked up the bracelet.

She dangled it from a single finger, and her brows arched as she stared.

"Why does it feel like I've seen this cheap shit somewhere before?" She muttered.

"Who the hell makes bracelet blue and gold? Tacky" she made faces, throwing the bracelet away.

"Baby!" Caspian entered the room. excitdly, bubbling with joy.

He jumped in bed with her and pulled her legs.

She giggled as she stayed under him, and he came on top, kissing her neck like he does. He gave her a bite, leaving a deep hickey.

"Stop!" She chuckled, pulling his hair behind. grinning and throwing her legs in a curve.

"Tell me what's going on first"

"We're launching our newest jewel tomorrow! It's the anklet I gave you." He said.

"The one on my ankles?" She bit her lip, raising her pale leg to place on his shoulder.

"Yes, baby!" He kissed her calves, and she smiled.

"We already sold ten branches with preorders, ten branches already! I'm sure by tomorrow after we release it properly, we'll be sold out within ten minutes." He said.

Shayla pushed him, tossed him and came on top instead, taking control.

"Yunno your success is partly because my parents invested in you, right? You were falling apart cos you were worshipping women, but then you met me, and my parents changed everything with just one investment." She whispered.

"I haven't forgotten, why are you suddenly reminding me?" He replied.

"Because you're mine, and if you try play smart, your life snaps like a weak hairband" she whispered again, lowering her lips in an attempt to kiss him, but he tossed her.

He came on top again, reclaiming control and avoiding the kiss.

"Two years, Pian. We've been together for two years, but you've never kissed me once. It's always boring neck kisses, leg kisses or forehead kisses! S+×? You haven't even tried it before! You don't even know what I look like down there! Earlier in the kitchen when I told you to kiss me you pretended that you really wanted to kiss me, but the moment that tasteless Ryker guy arrived, you took it as your opportunity to shove me away! Caspian, are you just keeping me around for entertainment? Do I look like a pet dog?" She ranted.

Caspian blinked once, then held her shoulders, but she's so strong that he can't even move her.

"Baby, you know I'm equally obsessed with you, so...."

"So kiss me! F+k me! Do anything! Strip me and do whatever! Just touch me idiot!" She tossed him, coming to the top for the second time.

She held his face, balanced down to kiss, and at the same time pulling his pyjamas pants.

Caspian pushed her off before their lips could touch, and she gasped as he got off the bed.

"I'll be right back, Katherine."

"As you're going out, have it in mind that the next time you enter my room, I'll kill you! I hate you!!" She threw her pillow after him, panting as he shut the door.

She got down from the ruffled bed and shoved her right hand in her full hair, the second hand untied her nightie rope on her chest.

She looked down at her br@less b👀bs, seeing how the n+ppl£$ are so painfully £r+ct, needing touches.

"Bastard...look at these pretty little babies craving for his touch but he chose to run again? At this point, I need to check is my fiancee has a d+k. Ugh!" She fell in bed heavily.

--

Getting to the hallway outside, Rivera was already waiting for Caspian with a bottle of spirit.

He snatched the bottle and gulped it down, letting it leak all-over his chin and chest, soaking his PJs before he dropped the bottle on the ground.

He punched the wall next, wounding himself on the knuckles.

"I finally got my dream woman, but I can't even touch her cos of fear of the hex that bastard put on her. Why the hell was she born with the hex in this lifetime too? Her primary school teacher died when he tried to touch her inappropriately. During her college days, guys avoided her cos her boyfriends always ended up dead!" He shouted.

"I've been looking for how to lift the hex from her body, but I haven't seen a capable witch." Rivera responded, and he grabbed the girl by her collar, locking her in place.

She chocked, but didn't move or try to escape him.

"It only means you're not searching well! She wants me! She wants me to f+k her brains out but I can't even do that! Do you know who's more scared of this wedding? Me? I plan to make the honeymoon unforgettable for her, but if the hex is still on her till then, it'd be impossible. What are we gonna be doing in our honeymoon? Hosannah?"

He removed Rivera's gun from her pocket, slamming the barrel on her head. The girl bled, staggering away to the ground.

She scrambled to her knees very quick, and her blood dropped quicker, covering her eyes.

"I'll search harder, I promise. If I don't get you a witch to lift the hex before the wedding, you can cut my wings and kill me." She said.

"And I'll be doing that, so you better scram!" He warned.

Rivera lifted herself from her knees, rushing out of the hall.

Caspian punched the wall again, grunting like an animal.

If he has the mantle in him, the hex would mean nothing, but without the mantle, he dare not touch her.

Also, Ryker has no mantle in him too, so that bastard can't lift the hex.

"Darn, can't believe I haven't fucked for two years. Me?" He laughed.

"I'm going to run mad soon," he muttered, sitting calmly.

But then... everything started from Ryker anyways.

It's best if he kills him completely in this lifetime.

He ran away with Lilith earlier, but he knows where he lives.

His one room apartment.

[Monday, Wyoming Mansion]

Cheyenne was red-eyed as she emerged from her room, placing a palm on her forehead.

She spends almost every night searching for any lead to Ryker and Sage, so she barely sleeps.

It's a nightly routine.

"Here she comes again with her red eyes. There's no talking you out of your all nighters." Her mom—Mrs. Wyoming said from the dinning where she's eating breakfast with her junior sister Jenna.

"What's for breakfast?" She settled down beside Jenna.

"Salted tuna fish and pasta!" Jenna announced, dropping her drawing book to give Cheyenne a glance.

Cheyenne's eyes caught the drawing book, and she took it immediately.

There's a pencil drawing of a lady in the book, clear and bold.

"Who's this? She looks familiar," Cheyenne asked.

"Mum took me to Katherine's concert on Saturday did you forget? We weren't allowed to snap pictures so I had to keep her face in my memory, and I drew her. She's sooo beautiful, and she has a long wavy hair like me." Jenna smiled.

"This is... Katherine Pierce the ballerina?" Cheyenne swallowed, looking at the drawing book again.

Why is she seeing Shayla?

It's all she could see.

"Yes. That's Katherine. Your sister is good with drawings, yunno? She drew her well." Mrs. Wyoming said across the table.

"Mum,, please set me up with Katherine, I know you can do it! I know you have the ability to enter her agency, just set me up! I need to meet her soon. In fact, today!" Cheyenne said impatiently.

"Why the sudden interest? Last time I checked, you weren't interested in ballet" Mrs. Wyoming blinked.

"Don't ask questions! Muuum... please!" Cheyenne went to her and began massaging her shoulders.

"Can I go with you to meet Katherine?" Jenna asked.

"Mum?" Cheyenne pestered.

"On one condition. Promise me you'll never sneak out to the Jazz Bar to drum again. You're a girl, live like one! Pick modelling or fashioning, not drumming." Mrs. Wyoming said.

"Fineee. No more drumming." Cheyenne agreed without waiting.

"Good, I'll set up the meeting" the mother said.

"Yes!" Cheyenne raised a fist.

--

[Jazz Bar]

Sage has refused to go home.

It has been snowing since Saturday night,, but going home is still not part of his to-do list at all. He stayed in his car, in the cold, waiting for when Cheyenne's gonna show up.

He has made inquiries from the bar owner, and after he described her features especially her mean unsmiling face, they confirmed it was her, but the only thing they know is that she's Cheyenne, nothing more.

She just comes to drum.

With this limited info, he could only wait, and he has been doing just that.

Even his guards waited with him when they couldn't get him to leave.

Thanks to the fact that his parents are on a business trip, he's somehow free.

At 7am, Soren's car crossed his car in the front, and he came out of the car to meet his brother.

"You've been here since Saturday night, and this is Monday, bro. What exactly are you after? Soren queried.

"Is this your way of scolding your elder brother?" Sage replied.

"Do you see me smiling? The weather is too cold. You haven't had good food since Saturday, haven't had your bath too, please go home." Soren said frankly.

"I'm not going back home till I see her. She'll come soon." Sage replied.

"Who are you talking about?" Soren rolled eyes.

"She's the drummer, and —"

"Yunno what, bro? Keep waiting. I'm going to the Foxx, and I won't be late cos of you. I'll take pity on you and send food over. Congratulations on your new vigilante job." Soren interrupted, getting back in his car.

"He's somehow heartless in this lifetime too," Sage smiled after Soren drove off.

[Foxx Ballet Group Center]

There's only a little difference between the center and college.

It's as large as one, and there are various departments of ballet, but Dark ballet is the most populated with the most talented members.

That's Xena and Faye's department.

They came out of the locker room after changing to their first outfit, both spaced out till they settled on a metal bench in the long crowded hall.

"I'm still in awe," Faye muttered.

"I haven't been sleeping since Saturday night," Xena muttered.

"How bad were you?" Faye asked.

"I called her a hunt dog, and I did worse to Ryker," Xena covered her eyes with her palms. "I'm such an animal!!"

"You're really an animal," Faye nodded.

"You both went to the exclusive concert on Saturday, why not tell us what it looked like?" A girl suddenly appeared with her groupie.

"Is Katherine really as beautiful as they say?"

"Can you both duet her dance moves?"

"Is her hair really the longest and healthiest in this city?"

The questions kept coming, but none of 'em are ready to chat, obviously.

"I also went, to the concert!" A arrogant voice said from the downside of the hall, and everyone left Faye and Xena.

Sadie walked into the hall, shoulders high and lips tight till she arrived in the middle.

Faye and Xena stood, but they don't look shocked cos Rumi already told them she saw Sadie at the hospital.

Obviously, she has no memory of Luminaria.

"Hey, girlies." She waved a finger, stealing all attention for herself.

"I went to the concert, too." Another golden voice muttered from the second downside.

Soren walked in, coincidentally wearing the same colour as Sadie.

Girls went gaga immediately.

"He's hot!"

"Raww!"

"Never seen him before!

"Never seen the girl before too, and what's this air of arrogance between the two of them!"

"They must be new!"

"You really came," Sadie smiled.

"I never go back on a deal," Soren replied simply, pulling her to his side.

"Soren Harland here" He waved.

"Sadie Robertson" Sadie added.

"We're both new, and we're ready to make friends" Sadie announced.

"Don't crush on be though, I don't date. Also, I and Sadie are besties from now on." Soren added.

Sadie chuckled, and she ballerinas shrouded them immediately, asking questions about the concert which they started answering.

They stole the spotlight totally.

Xena fell back weakly on her bench. She hasn't been breathing since Soren entered this hall.

So she saw right last night during the concert.

She really saw him at the arena.

"Are you ok? Your crush from your last lifetime just appeared with his evil twin, and they're automatically besties in this life!" Faye asked.

"Don't talk to me for now. Just let me think." Xena said, sweating so much.

She got her small electric fan from her shoulder bag and turned it on to cool down, standing awkwardly.

Coincidentally, that was when Soren and Sadie were also leaving the hall.

Xena bumped into Soren, and her small purse fell from her bag.

"I'm...I'm... sorry.." she quickly shifted back, losing her breaths.

"I hate when girls throw themselves at guys in form of bumping. I don't like you." Soren replied, and Xena felt like entering the ground immediately.

"She doesn't look bad, actually." Sadie said beside him.

"I don't like her," Soren repeated glaringly, picking Xena's fallen purse from the ground.

There's a keychain inside which has Rumi's picture.

Soren stared at it for a while before throwing it at Xena with the purse.

"If the blonde in the keychain is your twin, tell her someone's crushing on her. I like her." He smirked, leaving with Sadie.

Xena was already crying as she ran out of the hallway.

"Xena, wait up!" Faye followed.

[Russia Origin Museum]

The museum is pulsing with life from young school kids who came to have a feel of history, and home kids who came with their parents.

Shayla sat somewhere in the middle of the museum, watching them with a ice cream cone to her lips which she's  eating like a model.

She loves sweet things, but at the same time she hates her love for it.

How could a grown woman like her not be able to do without sweets and candies and ice creams.

She threw the ice cream away, but she opened her bag and took a candy, unwrapped it into her mouth.

Yeah, that's how bad the obsession runs, and it's crazy at this point.

She likes coming here to watch kids from afar too, but she hates getting too close to them.

Whenever she gets too close, their presence always seemed to be choking her, and she hates that feel.

Her phone rang in her bag, but she didn't bother to pick.

It's definitely Caspian, but who's gonna pick his call after he left her hanging last night?

She left the harem without telling him or taking any of his guards with her, so he'd worry till he starts crying

Her second phone rang, and she picked that one. It's her manager.

She has a separate phone for her agency actually.

"Yeah?" She stood.

She used her black shades, taking her bag and walking down the lane on her heels as she talked on phone.

It's about her dinner with her agency tonight. She almost forgot.

"Katherine!" A kid called behind her, and she stopped, amazed.

Why would anyone recognize her???

She kept walking.

"Katherine! I know it's you!"

The kid ran after her, and she quickened her pace, but the kid was in front of her in a whim.

"Get away, I'm not Katherine!" She pushed her crankily.

The kid fell, hurting her knees badly and started crying.

Shayla sighed "Kids will always be annoying,"

She turned back, seeing the kid's bleeding knees.

"Is the ground that rough? F+k, you shouldn't be persistent like that, kiddo. Now you're hurt." She said.

"I went to your concert with my mum, and I drew your face, so don't try to deny. I know it's you." The kid said, bringing out the drawing.

"Your name is Jenna Wyoming?" Shayla scoffed, seeing her cute little signature on top of the drawing.

"Yes. I have a senior sister Cheyenne, and she wants to badly see you." Jenna smiled.

"Don't care about your sis, but who came to this museum with you?" Shayla asked.

"My mum, she went to the washroom when I saw you," Jenna explained, holding her hands.

"I love you so much, and I want to be a ballerina like you when I grow up."

"No you can't. I'm a killer, I've killed too many. Just be yourself, don't be me." Shayla quickly glared.

"But you're beautiful, and you have long hair." Jenna said.

"That's all?" Shayla replied, glaring harder.

Jenna swallowed, suddenly realizing how scary she looks with the glare.

Shayla chuckled eventually.

"You're cute, let's get you to the museum clinic, your knees needs treatment." She said.

But before she could get up with Jenna, a blindfold covered her eyes from behind.

"Katherine!" Jenna shouted when she saw hoodlums, but she was blindfolded too.

Shayla sent her punch up, twice and hard and brutal as her adrenaline rushed to her arms.

Those two punches sent two hoodlums to the ground, but it wasn't enough, cos the third hoodlum sent Shayla's head to the metal railings.

Shayla dropped unconscious.

Blackout.

--

[Jazz Bar, 7PM]

Cheyenne terminated her promise of not coming here to drum again.

Her mum couldn't set up a meeting for her with Katherine.

Katherine's agency declined, so she's left helpless.

Tonight, she's going to drink and drum till the jazz tears, that's the goal to ease this hotness in her head.

She stepped into the bar, scrolling through her phone.

Caspian's company released their latest anklet jewelry today, and it sold out within eight minutes in all branches, topping the chart of treasure keepers.

"He should enjoy it while it lasts," she muttered, hissing out.

She was about to pocket the phone when she got a call from her mum, and she swiped green so fast.

"Is it set? Did you later arrange the meeting with Kath—"

"I can't find Jenna! I can't find her anywhere in the museum! I've been looking for her since 6!" Her mum's voice came.

"What!!" Cheyenne's body went cold.

"Stay where you are! Wait for me, and please tell me you already called the cops, I'll be right there!"

She turned around to get out, but she was slammed against a familiar body.

Her phone fell from her to the neon ground, and her gasp was very loud when she staggered.

An arm went curved around her waist, pulling her back to safety.

Her heartbeats picked up race.

[Ryker's One-room Apartment]

"Last week Saturday, we were both in the harem, getting beaten, but suddenly you stood and took me out with a run. I passed out, and I woke up to meet myself here! How?" Lilith complained, pacing around in front of Ryker who looks focused on what he's doing on his laptop.

Lilith hasn't been able to stop talking about that Saturday, and he's not ready to tell her he actually teleported.

She'd probably faint, judging by how dramatic she is, or she might think he's running insane.

The two options are off.

"Wait...you didn't teleport, did you?" Lilith suddenly asked, and his fingers stopped on top of the laptop keys.

"Are you a superhuman?" Lilith said again, and Ryker looked up.

"Shut up if you've ran out of words,"

"But I'm curious! How did I get home that Saturday? Did you carry me in your arms?" Lilith sat beside him.

"Wait...boss, you don't have a crush on me, right? I have a spec, for your information. You're madly handsome, but you're broke, so stop crushing on me if that's the case. You're not my type." She said.

Ryker pushed her away from that couch, and she fell on the ground.

"Stop using your mouth inappropriately, it's boring," he muttered, returning to his laptop.

But the door bursted open, and Caspian bursted inside.

"Mr. Caspian Yusluv? Oh my gawd!!" Lilith quickly hid behind Ryker.

"It was so easy to find you, Ryker. Your apartment is one of the top 3 smallest cages in this country, so it was a piece of peanut." Caspian smiled, widening his arms.

"You must have heard about my feat today. I became richer with my new jewelry, sold out across all branches. For your information, the first pieces of the anklet are on Katherine's gorgeous ankles. I should be happy now, and tonight should be a night of good fûck for me and my woman, but you had to go ruin it with your stupid hex!" Caspian yelled, picking the laptop from the table.

He threw it at the wall, breaking it and sending keys everywhere.

Lilith held her breaths, and Ryker remained silent, but his eyes are surveying the scattered keys on the ground.

"Today, I'm here to kill you." Caspian drew a gun suddenly like a prize, and Lilith fainted.

"You habitual bastard!!" Pearl yelled, coming inside with a barrel gun too.

Caspian faced the door, shooting at the same time with Pearl.

Their bullets went into their shoulders, and blood splashed.

They groaned agonizingly, their painful whimpers darkening the night as they staggered, feeling the weight of the metal in their bodies and the blood draining.

Ryker still stood there, unmoved.

Today isn't for Caspian. Caspian's day isn't even now at all.

Rivera rushed into the house.

Seeing what's going on, she only gasped for a second before rushing to her master to report.

"My lady left the harem without guards when you weren't around, and we got a report that she got kidnapped with a kid at the origin museum! It think it was done by your ops." She said breathlessly.

"What the f+k! My Katherine??" Caspian's eyes widened, his bleeding shoulder meaning nothing anymore.

"I wasn't around when she left, I was looking for a witch to lift her body hex like you instructed." Rivera said.

"Stop talking, and take me to her location with your wings! Use the tracker I planted in her anklet" Caspian ordered, and Rivera quickly flapped her wings, going down.

Caspian was about to climb her back for the flight when Pearl stood, holding her bleeding shoulder with a shrill laughter.

"Someone is faster than you," she said, looking at Ryker's spot.

Caspian's eyes went there, and truly, Ryker is gone.

Caspian's eyes widened again.

Ryker actually... teleported?

Meaning...he has the mantle?

Dafuq!

He literally jumped on Rivera's back, the the fae girl flapped her wings out of the house.

Lilith is still unconscious on couch when Pearl stood, smirking...

"Seriously, Ryker? You're going to give her your all in this lifetime too? While I'm here?"

--

[Wide Express]

Immediately Shayla woke up without the blindfold, she knew she was in a car. A madly speeding car reeking of smokes and drugs.

But the part that hit harder is that Jenna is also in the car with her.

She's unconscious though.

Seems the smokes induces weakness, cos right now she's at her weakest.

Moving a finger feels like a task, talking feels harder.

She was able to tilt up a bit though, and she had a glance at the driver in front. Leader of the hoodlums.

"You're obviously after me,, so let her go. She's just a kid." She said, almost not hearing her own voice.

"Her mistake was being there with you, so she's bound to perish with you, sister. You have no idea how long I've been planning this day." A husky voice came from the hoodlum.

He glanced at Shayla, grinning and flashing his set of rotten teeth.

It's Kade.

"Last lifetime, Caspian killed me cos of you, and I promised to make you pay the dues. This lifetime, I reincarnated as an orphan and found myself grown in an orphanage with my memories intact. But you, you dared to reincarnate as a rich woman? A popular ballerina? You deserve every bad thing I have in mind!" He barked.

"I dunno what you're talking about..." Shayla groaned, and Jenna stirred.

"Of course you don't, your stupid self didn't reincarnate with your memories, but it's ok... Your life's about to be over." Kade laughed, stepping on the gas when they got to the main highway.

The car sped up again, buildings whipping past them like ants and the breeze so terribly cold.

Jenna woke up.

She started crying when she saw what's going on.

"Are we gonna die? Are we?"

"No. Never" Shayla replied, pushing herself up forcefully without minding her breathing limbs.

She locked Kade's neck from behind, choking him with the leather backrest of the driver's seat.

"Then... let's go to hell together, you motherfucker! How dare you try to kill me with a kid!!" She screamed, squeezing his throat.

Blood stopped rushing in his body, and he nearly went rigid, but his hands didn't leave the steering.

He kept driving on the bridge.

"You f+kin...bi+c...

"Katherine! Bridge! The bridge!!" Jenna screamed, and Shayla's head went up, fast.

Kade actually drove to the bridge edge as it's an uncompleted bridge still under construction.

The car crashed into the bridge rails, breaking it completely.

The water below is dark, wide and vast. It's the coldest in this continent, and surviving inside is impossible.

Shayla's eyes widened as her life flashed before her.

"Let's go to hell together like you want!" Kade remarked, letting go of the steering as the car fell.

Shayla let go of his throat, holding Jenna in her arms.

The little girl closed her eyes, and Shayla did the same.

But a minute before the car lands in the dark ocean, the ocean changed form, going from liquid to blue ice.

The car landed on the frozen ice, and the hard impact made the girls lose their consciousness.

Their heads slammed on the windows, and the glasses broke, tearing their facial flesh.

A glass pierced Shayla's chest, her blood soaked Jenna's body.

The car fuel pipe bursted, and the fuel poured out to the car body.

Ryker landed on the ice breathlessly, tearing the car door open.

He got Shayla out first, laying her on the ice very far from the car, then he went back to get Jenna.

Immediately he took the little girl out of the car, the car blew up, burning even on his hard ice.

He set Jenna down and went back to Shayla who's not even breathing anymore.

Seems the glass pierce on her chest reached her heart and grazed it, cos the bleeding is much.

Carefully, he removed the glass and tried healing her, but her body didn't even respond to his healing.

It refused to heal.

She refused to breath, and that scared him so much.

Is it because of her resentment? The resentment she has for him in the last lifetime must still be so strong that her body rejects his healing.

She just lay there, like a corpse.

He pressed two hands down on her bleeding chest, sniffling.

"Please... please, Shayla. Please, can you just let me heal you? Can you breath back to life? Please..."

He tried again with blood soaked hands, but it's still the same.

"You haven't hated me enough. You need to come back and hate me more. You still have more slaps to give me, and more wicked things to do to me. Please... just..."

He paused, remembering something.

This is the human realm, and she's currently human without her powers, so she should respond to humanly resuscitation ways.

He tilted her up from the ground, and at the same time, Caspian and Rivera landed on the ice.

Caspian jumped down from Rivera's wings, and he started running forward.

"Katherine!" He shouted fearfully, seeing all the blood.

"No. It's always been Shayla, and will always be." Ryker replied, lowered his bent figure to Shayla's tilted body.

He opened her mouth with his tongue, then pressed his mouth down on hers, breathing inside.

"Shayla...."

Caspian watched the tongue going in, and his head exploded.

"F+ker! I'm going to kill you!!!" He growled, furiously snatching a gun from Rivera.

He shot once, twice, thrice.

The icy ground shook with the deadly quake of the gunshots, and the three bullets entered Ryker's upper body, tearing into his shirt and penetrating into his skin, but he couldn't even feel the darn pain.

He kept his mouth sealed on Shayla's mouth, breathing inside again, whispering...

"Shayla......"

Caspian cocked the gun once more, ready to release bullets again, but he could only go one step close before the unexpected happened.

The fire tattoo on Shayla's back glittered dangerously, and the fire flash carried Caspian, throwing him back in a brutal backflip.

His head pounded the ice.
