"Emily!". Someone yelled from a distance and they broke the kiss and turned. It was brad.

.

Brad came running and Emily instinctively hid behind Angelo, he looked at her, then at Angelo.

"Emily, don't you miss your family?, It's been more than a month and you never showed up, even once, i thought something bad happened to you...for gawd's sake, your mother was worried sick about you....". Brad rushed.

"You were trying to get me married to Bryan when i told you that I didn't like him". Emily defended.

"We were trying to do what's best for you, Emily, can't you see?". Brad insisted. Slowly, Emily came out from her hiding spot and Angelo looked at her, she nodded quietly and turned to brad.

"No dad, i can't see it". She shook her head. "I can't see how getting me married to someone against my wish is best for me". 

"Look, i won't argue with you, just come with me, back to our family, we can start afresh, just like before and live happily again". Brad reasoned.

"I....i..

"There's nothing to think about Emily". Brad snapped and Angelo looked at him, about to say something when brad suddenly reached out to grab Emily's hand.

Angelo stopped him midway, grabbing his instead and twisting it painfully.

"Gelo... please don't hurt him". Emily mumbled.

"If you wish to die, then lay so much as a damn finger on her". Angelo said darkly. Brad gulped fearfully and withdrew his hand.

"You don't have the right to do this, she's my daughter". Brad said defiantly.

"And she's my fiancée, so lower your voice when talking to her, father-in-law". Angelo countered.

Emily's heart skipped when Angelo's Italian accent slipped in, it only did when he was annoyed and it was always so hot every damn time.

"Fiancee....what?". Brad muttered, his gaze falling on Emily's finger.

She's really engaged. To this demon. Oh gawd...

"That's not possible...". Brad shook his head, then suddenly looked up. "Emily, is it true?". 

"Yes I'm engaged to Angelo". Emily uttered and brad stumbled on nothing.

"Brad dear". Laura called out, Ava was beside her.

Actually brad had brought them to the park to relieve them of the stress but ended up finding Emily.

They came closer and Laura's eyes widened. "Emily!!!". She and Ava exclaimed and ran to hug her but Angelo raised his hand, stopping them from coming closer. Emily lowered her head, suddenly getting interested in the designs on the floor.

"We haven't had a formal introduction, mother in law". Angelo smirked. Laura furrowed her brows and looked at Brad, he had a distant look on his face. Ava looked really confused too.

"You three owe her an apology for everything you've done to her". He said and Emily's head snapped up, she lightly tugged on his sleeves but he only looked at her and shook his head.

What?.

"I don't have time to chitchat with you, so hurry the f..k up if you ever want to see your daughter again". 

"We're really really sorry Emily". They all said at once, bowing their heads slightly. Emily opened her mouth and closed it, no words seemed to come out.

They all looked at Angelo, but he remained stoic and nonchalant.

"Is that an apology?". He scoffed. "Kneel". 

"What?". Emily suddenly found her voice.

"You heard me". Angelo looked at her. Brad pursed his lips and made to kneel.

"Dad no". Emily snapped.

"You're going against my order". Angelo said slowly.

"Then punish me but they won't kneel". She shook her head, meeting his eyes.

Ava watched the exchange and couldn't help but wonder:

When did Emily become so brave?.

So much had changed since the first time they met.

Laura was biting her lip nervously while Brad just kept his head bowed in shame.

After everything they did to her, she's still here protecting them.

Emily refused to back off, even when Angelo's eyes turned cold as if those grey orbs were eating right at her soul. It's as if they were locked in a silent contest, the tension could literally be felt by everyone around them.

She knew she'd regret it but...

"Fine". Angelo conceded and she breathed out.

It was only there for a split second but a proud smile appeared on Angelo's face.

The fierceness and raw determination in her eyes earlier was something he'd never seen before. Just perfect.

Naturally fit to be his Donna.

Emily was talking to her family now and it was hella an emotional moment.

"Em, i don't know if you'll ever forgive us, we were so engrossed in trying to separate you from Angelo, that we didn't notice we were pushing you away, I'm really sorry". Brad apologized.

"I'm really the worst mother in the world, i tried to keep you from having your own happiness our of my selfishness, we even locked you up when you did nothing wrong". Laura added.

Emily sniffed and looked at them.

"Mil, I'm really sorry for being so selfish, i wanted you all to myself and I hated the fact that you were in love with Angelo, i thought we would never go back to how we were, everything lost meaning when you weren't around". Ava hiccupped and Emily pulled her into a tight hug, soon brad and Laura joined in the hug.

"I'm really sorry too, for being selfish, i was only thinking of my happiness and not about you, that was wrong". Emily mumbled. 

"Are you still going to live with Angelo?". Ava asked quietly when they pulled away.

"Any objection?". Angelo scoffed and she bit her lips, shifting further away from him.

Emily excused herself and went to Angelo.

"C-can they live with us?, I...i mean the mansion is spacious enough and.... we can even pay you if you want". Emily muttered.

"Oh yeah?, How will you pay three hundred thousand dollars a month, hm?". He raised his brow and Emily gasped.

"I...i don't have that much money". She whispered.

"I'm kidding, do whatever you want. The mansion is yours, don't make me wait too long or you'll be screaming all night long". Angelo said and started walking to the car.

Emily's cheeks turned stark red and she took a deep breath and turned back to her family.

.... MAFIA HEADQUARTERS*

Kate took a deep breath and knocked gently on the door.

"Come in, may". His voice rang out and she pursed her lips but went in anyway.

May is a new recruit and she's very close to blade, much to Kate's displeasure but she has no say in it since she's not dating him or anything.

"May, how many times have I told you that you don't have to knock every damn time you want to....

Blade stopped when he saw Kate instead.

"What are you doing here?". He asked.

"I....

She stopped and locked the door before turning back to him.

"I'm really sorry for everything that happened...with Hades....with us". Kate mumbled, fidgeting with the sleeves of her shirt.

"You don't need to apologize anymore than you have, already". Blade said. 

Someone knocked on the door and they both looked at it.

"Blade?". She called out when nobody opened up. 

"Is something going on between you two?". Kate blurted out.

"No, you've apologized right?, You can go".

"You haven't forgiven me". She muttered.

"Blade?". May called again but none of them were moving.

Blade's expression was still indifferent and Kate sighed, biting her lips.

"If it helps, i didn't date Hades, I never did". She mumbled and turned to leave.

"Wait, what?". Blade blurted out before he could stop himself and she stopped but didn't turn.

"After the day you guys found out, he asked me to date him but i told him i loved you only". Kate explained.

"Why did you cheat on me then?". 

"I didn't mean to, i got carried away". Then she turned. "I love you blade, always have.... But it's too late, you love may". She said weakly.

"I don't love may, i love you Kate". Blade countered and walked over to her. They soon began devouring each other's lips, ignoring the world around them.

A MONTH LATER*

Emily walked into the picturesque Italian villa, surrounded by lush gardens and pretty lakes.

The weather was serene and everyone watched Emily walk with grace, she was dressed in a stunning, lace adorned, mermaid styled gown with a sweetheart neckline. Her long hair was loosely curled, the loose locks forming tendrils on her face.

She applied light makeup, a delicate veil, pearl earrings and a sparkling tiara.

Her father walked her down the aisle with a proud smile on his face. Dignitaries from all around the world were present there, Laura and lily sat in the front row and they cheered the loudest. Ava and alyssa were the maids of honour.

Angelo stood there at the alter, stunned. All that went on in his mind was something very unholy.

The dress looked stunning on her but it'd be even more when he discards and haves his way with her.

Oh....

...

"You may now kiss the bride". Carlos announced and Angelo grabbed Emily's waist softly, ravishing her lips like a sex starved person.

"Woah woah, get a room". Alyssa gagged, Angelo rolled his eyes and pulled away, Emily smiled at him.

Angelo took Emily's hand in his and they walked over to his stepmom, Lily, first, bowing lightly to her. She smiled brightly and blessed both of them, next, they walked over to Brad and Laura, doing the same. 

Laura pulled Emily into a hug and smiled, crying at the same time.

"My little baby is now married". She said emotionally. 

"Let's make this a real wedding people". Kate screamed and stood up from where she was, blade chuckled and she pulled him up with her.

"Later, man". Bruno patted Hades at his back and walked over to where Kate and blade were.

Alyssa was smiling widely, watching them.

"I never thought she'd make him so lovestruck like this, i mean, look at Angelo, he looks so whipped". She chuckled, Carlos laughed too.

"I always knew she would". He said proudly and turned serious.

"What's wrong?". Alyssa asked, noticing his change in expression.

Carlos cleared his throat and took a deep breath before facing her.

"Will you marry me?". He knelt on knee and brought out a very pretty ring.

"Oh my gosh, yes!!!". Alyssa screamed, he slid the ring into her finger and kissed her passionately when he stood.

"Guess it's us left then". Blade whispered to Kate.

"That can wait, for now, we're gonna have fun". She said.

Angelo and Emily were away from the crowd, she was eating her cake and Angelo was just staring at her.

"A bite?". She offered when he didn't look away.

"I don't do sugar". He shrugged.

"Angelo!". Carlos called out and gestured for him to come.

"Get ready for tonight". Angelo winked, before leaving. Emily gulped, then someone shook her from behind.

"Ava". She acknowledged.

"We're about to take a family picture, come on". Ava said and started dragging her before she could respond.

"Say cheese". Bruno said and they all smiled, Angelo's hand was around Emily's waist, the same for Alyssa and Carlos, Kate and blade and Brad and Laura.

Ava rolled her eyes.

"Let us breathe, yeah?". She scoffed.

Bruno chuckled and their eyes locked, she quickly looked away.

"Cheese". They all repeated.

10 years later*

The car parked and 8 year old twins came running inside with huge grins on their faces.

"Slow down". Alyssa cautioned, she was reading a fashion magazine.

"Auntie". They greeted her and continued running.

"These kids". She shook her head and continued what she was doing.

Another car parked and soon, Angelo and Emily came in too.

Emily is now a successful doctor and is doing well managing her normal life and also being the donna of the entire Italian clan.

Angelo is the don and has even grown more, global wise. Katherine also finished her sentence and was brought back to the clan, she really changed.

Their kids, Liam Andrei Gerald and Luna Andrea Gerald had already searched the entire mansion, and their targets were just walking in through the front door.

"Momma, Papa". They chorused and ran downstairs. Luna ran to Angelo while Liam ran to Emily and they jumped on them.

"You didn't come to pick us from school". Luna glared and Emily burst out laughing at her cuteness.

"I apologize for not coming, i had to treat a very sick old lady". Emily explained, Liam nodded understandingly.

"Papa, what's your own excuse?". He asked and Angelo face palmed.

"Your uncle kept me busy". He explained.

"Keep Carlos out of this". Alyssa yelled from the couch.

"Baby carrier, i wasn't talking to you". Angelo sneered.

Alyssa tried hard to resist the urge to shoot him in the balls right there.

"Come have lunch, I'll get your food". Emily said to the twins and they nodded, coming down and rushing to the dining hall.

At the same time, Angelo's phone rang and he excused himself. 

"Dear, you're back". Laura exclaimed from upstairs.

"Yes mom". Emily nodded.

Suddenly, Liam and Luna started arguing about something and Emily groaned.

"They're at it again". Brad shook his head and continued reading his newspaper.

"Emily, go and rest a bit, I'll take care of them". Laura said, Emily just nodded, not having the energy to do anything after a long day at work.

Anna was preparing the food in the kitchen when Laura came, they talked a bit, then she took the food tray.

Coming out, Liam and Luna were nowhere to be seen.

On the terrace*

Angelo was busy on his phone when Liam and Luna started attacking him from the back. He ended the call and picked them with one hand. Liam giggled and Luna laughed loudly.

"Aren't you hungry?". Angelo asked them.

"No". They screamed.

"Then, what do you want?". He asked them.

"Down". Liam said and Angelo put him down, Luna jumped down from his hand on her own and they dragged him to the nearby chair.

"Papa, sit, I have a story to tell you". Luna urged and Angelo sat down.

"A boy told me to be his girlfriend". Luna started.

"What?". Angelo raised his brow.

"Liam told him to leave me alone when he won't stop following me and he beat him up". She said. Angelo looked at Liam, then back to Luna.

"That's not all that happened". He already knew.

"I never said that". Luna smiled.

Angelo knew that grin.

"He's in the hospital, with broken hands and legs". She said proudly with an innocent smile.

Oh shit.

"That wasn't right". Liam said quietly.

"You also beat him when he touched me". Luna snapped.

"Okay, okay, that's enough". Angelo said.

"Mommy has told you it's wrong to fight, hasn't she?". He asked and they nodded.

"He disrespected me, he said I'm a bad girl but I'm a good girl". Luna pouted.

"I'ma good boy too". Liam nodded. Angelo smiled at that.

Liam was an exact replica of Emily in behavior, he was calm and quiet but was brutal when you hurt those around him. He also loved art like Angelo.

Luna on the other hand was strong headed and strong willed, she was short tempered like Angelo and hated people getting on her nerves but she loved science and wants to be a doctor when she grows up.

But when really provoked, they both automatically behave like Angelo, smash and destroy everything that annoys them.

They'll get trained when they turn 15 but will only step into the mafia world at 18.

"Daddy, i painted you and mommy for your anniversary". Liam said and rushed off to get his work.

"I got you something too, i told uncle Carlos to take you to a fancy place". Luna said.

Just then, Angelo's phone chimed, a message from Carlos, containing the address of the place Luna had booked.

It's the exact place where Angelo already planned to take Emily to.

They really think alike.

Liam came out with something behind him.

"Close your eyes". He told Angelo and Angelo sighed but shut his eyes anyways. "You too". He said to Luna and she scoffed but also closed her eyes with a pout.

"Open". Liam said and Angelo slowly opened his eyes.

The portrait was of him and Emily when he was helping her fix her earrings, they were standing just beside his car.

"You too did well". Angelo praised and they smiled widely.

"Now you better take mommy or she'll think you forgot about your anniversary". Liam said and Luna nodded, then looked at him sharply.

"I wanted to say that". 

"Okay, bring her down here". He told them and they quickly ran off. Angelo watched them, a smile forming on his face as he watched his little angels.

They weren't going to have more kids coz he didn't want Emily bearing that kind of labour pain ever again.

Five minutes later, Emily was downstairs with Liam and Luna pulling either sides of her hands.

Emily was standing directly in front of Angelo, he walked over to her and smiled playfully, then brought something from behind him.

A blindfold.

Emily's eyes widened and she furrowed her brows.

"Trust me, okay?". Angelo said and she nodded, letting him go behind and blindfold her.

"Love you momma, love you daddy". They said.

"Love you too, my babies". Emily smiled back.

Liam and Luna laughed mischievously and waved at them before going inside.

Angelo guided her to the car and soon he sped off.

An hour later, Angelo guided her out of the car and removed the blindfold.

Emily gasped.

Emily Adams Angelo Gerald was boldly written on a cheque that was signed in her name.

Angelo bought the f..king villa in her name.

"Gelo....

She didn't even know what to say, her mouth opened and closed.

"I don't know what to say....i love you so goddamn much". She finally said and stood on her tiptoes, kissing him.

"It's our 10th year anniversary.....this is.... it's too much....it probably costs billions". Emily mumbled.

"You deserve so much f..king more". Angelo said seriously and took her hand, leading her to the seat. "You gave me everything just by being in my life, and giving me Andrei and Andrea, you've been with me no matter how many times I screwed up, you didn't leave". 

Emily intertwined their hands together and smiled, Angelo was standing behind her.

"It's impossible for someone to not love you, after seeing the real you". Emily muttered.

"Even before that, you were still with me". Angelo said.

"I guess I fell in love with you, way before i realized it". She laughed.

"You made me believe in love, you made me want to protect someone other than Lyssa and Carlos, you gave me the best gifts in the world, our little kids...".

They both smiled.

"And I'll always be beside or behind you, when you overcome hurdles". Angelo promised.

"You won't fight them for me?, That's what people normally say". Emily raised her brow.

"No". Angelo shook his head. "Coz I'll be too busy letting you burn the world and watching you do it". 

Emily's heart skipped and soared at the same time and she just leaned upwards.

"I'll never be able to express how much I love you and our kids, you mean even more than the world to me". Emily uttered. "I love you, Angelo Gerald". 

"And I love you, Emily Adams Gerald". Angelo uttered too.

The next second, they were claiming and marking each other, the world around them melting away as they got lost in each other.
