[East Palace, 10PM ~ Pool Room]
Xena is floating on the pool surface, her clothes ballooning around her and her lids tightly shut.
She had struggled for long before giving up a while ago. She looks totally dead.
The glass door opened with a forceful slam which hit the wall, breaking the glass away.
Ryker entered with his two knights—Cheyenne and Sage.
Ryker nearly jumped into the pool first, but Sage did it.
He jumped in roughly, his entrance sending water splashes across the room.
He pulled Xena out of the water, setting her beside the pool.
Ryker squatted neatly beside her, feeling her pulse with two fingers.
It's still pulsing.
He placed his right hand on her chest, sending some of his energy into her. Frosty blue light surrounded his palm, and his gaze stayed so sure as he expected her to jerk up.
"Those inhumane twins," Sage muttered angrily behind, dripping with water.
"My Lord can't even kill them, and that's enough to make me mad." Cheyenne said in an equally angry voice, her face unfriendly.
"Quiet!" Ryker snapped, causing their lips to snap shut.
Xena coughed back to life, water splurging out of her mouth, ears and nostrils.
Ryker's hahd left her chest, but he didn't stand. His eyes stayed on her.
Xena sat up, her eyes falling on Ryker.
"Ryker! You came for me." She gasped, wanting to touch him, but Ryker stood. Her hand missed him.
"Sadie said the pool water was poisonous." She stood too, brushing her wet hair back.
"I fused you with my power, the poison is out of your system already." Ryker hardened his eyes, his robe nearly crawling on the ground as he walked out.
The blood on his face is still there, though it's dried now.
Sage and Cheyenne followed him closely, and Xena ran after them.
"What did the twins make you do before letting you come get me? Huh?" Ryker...talk to me."
No answer, but Ryker's bare steps stayed perilous till he arrived at the kitchen where the old chef is.
His hand is still stuck with the fork inside.
The custard and pie on his chest already dried with his clothes, and his legs are shaking as he has been standing since then.
"Father!" Xena ran over.
Cheyenne removed the fork from his hand, and the old chef began checking Xena out quickly.
"Did they hurt you? Are you ok?"
As the questions fell out of his mouth, Xena began crying.
"Stop asking if I'm fine when you're the only one who's hurt here. Look at your palm." She sobbed, showing the wounded palm to Ryker who's still standing there with that gloomy gaze.
"Please...heal him." Xena begged.
"No." He firmly declared, going for the door.
"Ryker Morozov!" The old chef called after him, using his real surname.
Ryker stopped sharply on his tracks, anger settling deep in his marrow as he turned around with just one side of his face, staring over his shoulder.
The old chef received a chest lash, getting flung back. He fell on the kitchen floor, hitting his head.
"Father!" Xena knelt beside him, holding him by the shoulders. "Father stay awake! Don't pass out!"
But his eyes kept rolling in obvious pains, and he's grunting too.
"Stop it! He's our father!!" Xena yelled at Ryker, her tears continuing.
"Morozov?" Ryker sneered, his hate blooming out. "Don't make that mistake, ever again!" He warned, leaving the kitchen with his knights.
Xena gathered tissues, wiping the old chef's sweat with them.
"He'll come around one day, and you should stop calling him by our surname Morozov. It's death sentence for you if any of The Millions Family hear about it, and I don't want you to die yet." She said.
She also tied a bandage on his wounded palm.
"He has refused to heal you, meaning you'd have to wait for it to heal naturally. I'll get you capsules from the pharmacy later." She assured.
"You're too good to me, Xena." The old chef smiled through his tears.
"Of course... you're our father." Xena hugged him.
--
Ryker and his knights have barely left the kitchen staircase when Jude appeared, obstructing them.
Ryker's eyes rolled, obviously not ready to entertain anyone right now. Not even Jude.
"It's good to see you again after two good days. Who did you kill this time? I know you killed someone judging by the blood on your face. Or is it two people? Three people?" Jude smiled genuinely, wanting to touch Ryker, but Sage blocked him.
"My Lord doesn't appreciate touches from anyone, not even us, and you know it."
"Right, I forgot. But I wonder when I'll actually get a hug from you...Ryker." Jude sighed with a pout.
"Where were you when your twin siblings were drowning Xena in the pool?" Ryker questioned demandingly, his deep voice echoing with the need for an answer.
"What!" Jude blinked in disbelief. "Drowned Xena?"
"My Lord got a call, ordering him to come to the auction with enough cash if he wants to save her from everlasting sickness." Sage explained.
"Wait...the twins are the reason you came to the auction to bid a whooping 150 insane billions for the Shayla slave?" Jude's eyes widened.
Ryker whizzed past him, going down the staircase.
"I swear, Ryker. I didn't know!" Jude ran after him. "Believe me Ryker... I'll never lie to you. I like you more than anything!"
"Stop using that word, it's upsetting. Don't like me. Just hate me like everyone else, it's easier." Ryker crankily replied with a glare that could cut through stones.
He used the exit door, but Jude still went after him.
"Ryk—"
Cheyenne blocked Jude this time, giving him a slight bow.
"You should stop here and let him be, Grand Prince. Don't provoke him further." She said and left.
Jude took three steps back, muttering...
"Those evil twin siblings of mineee"
He rushed upstairs, two steps at a time.
--
Ryker didn't leave for his tower immediately.
He went to the lone hall at the end of the castle rooms, standing behind the door with dull expression for a while.
"Here's it," Cheyenne handed him a sheathed dagger.
Then he opened the door and went inside alone. Cheyenne and Sage stayed by the door.
This room is blue, and it the blue light isn't from bulbs.
There's a triangular black tray on top of a dark oakwood table, and on the tray, there's a shiny, glittering orb, distributing blue ray of light across the room, so bright that it might blind the weak.
It's the FrostOrb, the main reason why the Millions Family are more powerful than any family in this city.
It's the one thing that empowered them to be able to snatch the city away from the Spectres.
The orb must stay bright everytime to supply power to the family, and to stay bright, it drinks blood. Not just any blood... it's always Ryker's blood.
Ryker unsheathed the dagger, brandishing it with the blue light while staring at the blade through his lashes.
He cut the middle of his palm with the dagger, slashing through the flesh and peeling it apart.
Blood erupted, falling on the FrostOrb in large droplets. The more the blood dropped, the brighter the FrostOrb light turned, till the brightness reflected in his eyes.
"Finally decided to come back?" A thick voice spoke behind him.
He didn't have to turn before knowing who it is.
That's the Grand Supreme Zeke, and he's probably with his wife Azura.
Ryker dropped enough blood on the orb, making sure it reached the brightness limit before taking his bloody hand away from it.
He turned around, and it's really Zeke and Azura, both looking power-druk and evil as always.
"You know well that you can't be far from the orb, right? Your blood is the oil, meaning you can't go far from the castle! So tell me...where the hell have you been since two days ago?" Zeke demanded.
"Why bother ask when you know? Didn't you send spies after me? You know I've been looking for her, and I'm not sitting still in this rotten castle without making a move!" Ryker glared.
"How dare you glare like that!" Zeke spat out in anger, sending him bone-cracking strikes with two fingers.
Ryker vanished from that spot, appearing on top of the orb table with unshakeable balance.
The strike hit the wall instead, leaving two deep cracks.
Ryker raised his hand to strike back, but Azura stepped forward, laughing.
"You're gonna strike back? Do it if you have the balls. Your sister's lifeline is with Zeke, remember? One pull, and she'd die. So go ahead! Strike back and you'll receive Xena's dead body in return!" She threatened.
Ryker's hand went down, his fingers shaking so much but not with fear.
It's rage.
Boiling rage which made deep frosty blue colour settle in his two eyes.
"You might be revered and feared outside this palace, but always remember you got that fame from this family! People fear you cos of The Millions surname, not because of your crazy powers! Everything you have belongs here!" Azura continued.
Ryker's fingers went closed, balling up. He's trying too too hard to contain his anger. Else, he might lose it, combust and ruin things.
"We know you've been searching for her, but the time you always spend looking for her, use it to look for the marked one instead, time is running." Zeke said authoritatively.
"Congratulations on buying your first slave though, but know that she doesn't belong to you. She belongs to the slaves camp and she'd work for the Family." Azura declared.
And with that, she left the room with Zeke, their steps fading off.
Ryker exited too, walking past Cheyenne and Sage by the door.
The two exchanged glances, knowing something happened inside with the Grand Supreme and his wife.
Each time those two meet Ryker, his anger grows.
Ryker is always angry, but they have a way of making it swell, especially if they threaten him with Xena's lifeline.

[Starr Balcony]
Fluorescent lights hit the bodies of the thin glass cups on the table, sending glosses across the walls and table edges.
Sadie and Soren stood beside the table, and it was Soren who poured the wine into the cups.
They carried their cups at the same time.
"To more wins!" Sadie beamed.
"Endless feats!" Soren smirked, their glasses coming together in a soft clink before they had little sips.
"I bet Winona and her siblings are crying as we speak, I wish I could collect Winona's tears in a fuckin bowl and make a hot cup coffee with it." Sadie smiled, taking her seat and mounting her legs on each other.
"C'mon, don't be too cruel. We've done enough tonight." Soren chuckled.
"Stop talking like you're not thinking about the same thing, twinnie." Sadie shrugged, and Soren's chuckle darkened.
He picked his phone with his other hand, swiping up and down.
"As it should be, we're trending on the Dark Room web again. Ballet School is gonna turn hot tomorrow." He announced, showing Sadie his phone screen.
"Take it away from my face, you know how much I hate phones and cars! Human technology just pisses me off." She rolled eyes.
"What have you both done!" Jude bursted into the balcony.
"We made the bastard buy the slave for us," Sadie stood.
"And for the hundredth time, he's Ryker, not bastard!" Jude barked.
"He's a bastard! Everyone calls him that so why are you trying to be different! Why always defending him when he doesn't even like you! That bastard likes no one so why willing to die for him! We're your siblings, not him!" Sadie yelled.
"And that's why you drowned Xena his sister in the poisoned pool?" Jude muttered.
"Yes," Soren stood. "And we enjoyed it."
"You f+ckin parasites!" Jude lunged towards them, but before he could even take three steps, their eyes shared the faint glow, and Jude automatically slipped.
He fell from the balcony railings with a loud scream.
The twins leaned on the railings, staring down at him from there.
Jude landed on the ground, breaking one of his right leg bones.
He sat there, groaning and unable to stand as he looked up at them.
Sadie pulled out some nyx notes from her bag, throwing them down at him.
Note; Nyx is the Luminaria currency.
"Your healing powers will take at least ten minutes for the bone to heal, but you might not wanna wait, so go treat yourself." Sadie laughed as the money landed on Jude.
"You're interested in the incoming slave Shayla. You and Winona like her? I mean...that dirty, smelly thing?" Soren laughed too.
"More reason to make her beg for death. We'll feed her pains like food, and we'll make you watch. That'd be your punishment for chosing the bastard over us." Sadie said.
Then the two of them left the balcony.
Jude grabbed his broken leg, groaning out.
They were right.
He's gonna have to sit here for at least ten minutes till the bone heals before he'd be able to stand.
He has to find a way to separate the twins and have his revenge.

[Heartless Tower]
The heavy scent of doom with a hint of frozen ice oozed from the walls, floors, pillars and everywhere noticeable in the tower.
The tower is almost as big as the main castle, but the luxury here is much more.
Everything is either in crystals, sapphire, gold, or jade.
It's like a land of honey, decked with enough richness to build several cities and capitals.
Ryker's demigod aura is in love with richness, so the tower shines with unbelievable wealth always.
He's madly rich, and it's one of the qualities he intimidates the Millions Family with.
They might know everything about him, but they don't know the source of his wealth.
Maids don't work in this tower.
He hates maids. He hates servants or chefs. In fact, he hates everyone.
He does his things himself, and he's comfortable like that.
He's currently sitting on his throne-like chair in the center of the icy tower. Several blue flames burned brightly beside the dry ice walls.
He's relaxed on the chair, his back pressing on the soft structure.
Again, the bloodstain is still on his face. He might be obsessed with blood on his face.
Cheyenne and Sage are in front of him, reporting...
"We gathered twenty females from the city again. They'll be in the palace tomorrow and will be directed to the Bamboo Groove so you can check for the mark." Cheyenne said.
"The new slave will be here tomorrow, but My Lord, are you really gonna let her work in the slaves camp for the Millions instead of working here? I thought you bought her for yourself." Sage asked.
"She's to stay at the Slaves Wing and work at the labor camp. I don't need a slave, or a servant. Keep that beggar as far away from me as possible." Ryker stated.
"Yes, my Lord." Sage stepped back.
He left the main tower with Cheyenne, both retiring to the tower quarters where they stay.
They're the closest to Ryker as his knights, and his richness even reflects in them.
They never wear cheap outfits. They're always in brand suits, and Cheyenne in particular is always wearing hats... expensive hats.
Ryker is more than enough to protect himself in this wicked palace, but they're his biggest extra protectors as they carry insane powers too.
--
[West Palace]
The castle is silent, except for the sound of Winona's harsh breathings.
She's in the lobby with the whole family, and they look bereaved like they've just lost someone.
Kasia and Astor are standing over the kids, both looking disappointed.
"Winona, I don't think you should be as angry as this. You're not even a student of the Ballet School so your mockery will be limited. I'm the only redhead in the school so let me feel all the anger!" Blaise stood.
"I'm Faye, of course everyone knows I'm Sadie's biggest enemy, so I'm the center of mockery tomorrow." Faye stood too.
"I didn't say that for you to follow up, stepsister." Blaise faced her, his hatred so obvious.
"I wasn't following up on you! I only said what's on my mind you pest!" Faye shouted.
Blaise nearly blinded her with his red hair flash, but Kasia stepped in.
"Blaise!!"
"Marrying Astor is like throwing me into a well. I hate him, and I hate his daughter more!" Blaise yelled, storming out of the lobby.
"Oh you think I don't hate you too? You think I like your mother too? Come back here cow!!" Faye went after him.
"Faye!" Astor yelled, but it's a lost cause. She's already out.
"I was wondering why they haven't fought since daybreak, turns out they were only saving it for tonight." Kasia muttered, sitting down.
"You know the most annoying part of the auction? We nearly won! I bet 60 billions, my life savings, but that bastard had to step in and ruin things with his 150 billions shit!" Winona held her head.
"Calm down, Winona." Astor patted her shoulder.
"I can't calm down, stepfather. I like that slave." Winona shook her head.
"Why the hell would the bastard suddenly come for the auction? He has never been a fan of the Dark Room. That demigod hates everyone so why did he appear in public tonight?" Kasia wondered aloud.
A servant entered the lobby, holding out a white card.
"From the East palace," he reported.
"Leave," Kasia told him after taking the card.
"Yes, Grandmistress." The servant took his leave, and Kasia tore the envelope open, reading it with Astor.
"We got invited to a meeting at the East palace tommorow night. It's to discuss the feast. Grand Supreme Zeke sent this invite himself." Astor announced.
"To the East palace? I'm definitely following you. Mother, stepfather, you don't object, right? I really need to see the slave again." Winona said desperately.
Kasia sighed, uncertain.

[Next Morning, East Palace ~ Bamboo Groove]
Apart from Heartless Tower, the Bamboo Groove is the second place of peace for Ryker.
Located at the back tracks of the palace property. The area is swamped by bamboo trees, and you can't even see the sky once you're inside cos it's shadowy and dark.
No one else is allowed inside except Ryker himself, then Cheyenne and Sage on official duties.
The two are ushering in twenty females right now, and the females are in a straight line as they head to the middle of the Groove.
Some of them are smiling with excitement, and some are shaking with fear cos everyone knows his history.
Each time he checks females for the mark, he always ends up killing one or two of them just to get blood on his face.
Ryker sat in the middle of the Groove, wearing another robe that's different from last night's, but still colour black with decorative jade treasures.
The sprinkles of white in his hair is now gone, but it's still messy, and he's wearing light shoes.
For most of the ladies, it's their first time seeing him in person, so their eyes came wide at the beauty. Even the ones who were scared forgot about their fear for the moment, lust taking over their souls.
They lined in front of him, and his eyes stayed unsettled.
Cheyenne and Sage turned their backs to the scene, and the females followed the usual protocol.
They began taking off their clothes, down to their panties and bras till they all became stark naked.
Ryker took out his dagger and cut his arm easily. He bled out.
The mark is supposed to shine on the marked one whenever he bleeds.
The females turned around one by one, presenting themselves for his eyes and waiting for when he's gonna announce that he found the mark on one of them.
But nothing came from him till he finished checking the twenty of them.
"Get out." He ordered, the deepness of his voice causing them to flinch.
Some of them couldn't even wait to wear their clothes. They gathered the fabrics and ran out.
Most of them forgot their panties and bras right there.
They ran out till it's just one of them left inside.
That one has refused to wear her clothes back, and she's smiling slyly walked to him.
"My Lord, maybe we only have to become partners first and the mark will appear on my body?" She said boldly, and that boldness was the end of her.
A raise of two fingers from Ryker, she froze in place.
The anger he couldn't vent to Grand Supreme Zeke and Azura last night, he released it all on her.
She froze from the insides.
Her lungs, blood, flesh and bones became ice, and her skin got covered completely with ice too.
She couldn't even make her last sound before she shattered to pieces.
A portion of her non-frozen blood splashed on Ryker's face, and his smirk was soft as he felt totally refreshed.
"Clean up her shatters before they melt away, and take them to her parents. Tell them I killed her, and describe how I did it. Make them listen to the details till the end." He ordered, standing.
"Yes, My Lord." Cheyenne and Sage chorused.
"No marked one among them again?" Sage muttered.
"I'll be at the Spring Pool." Ryker further said, walking deeper into the Bamboo Groove, his robe swirling gently with the air.
--
[8AM]
Shayla's steps were shaky and unaligned as she stepped into the East palace grounds with the auctioning committee chief.
She's wearing tattered shoes like her clothes, and her arms are closed over her chest as she walked as fast as possible, following after the chief so she won't get shouted at.
She didn't even bother looking around at the luxury of the palace. Why would she look when she's here to suffer?
The luxury doesn't matter, she's doomed for life.
She got sold to the wickedest man in this place, and that's enough to shatter her more than she already is.
Her eyes stung with tears as she tried hard to keep up as the chief is walking too fast.
The heavy chains are still on her ankle, so it's hard to walk.
She managed to look up once, and she saw Sadie and Soren at the wide park.
Both are about to enter their car, ready to leave for their Ballet School.
Their eyes met hers, and their smiles are crueller than poison.
"So...what are our plans for this slave dog?" Sadie asked.
"Mercury deserves to see the way we make her see hell." Soren said.
Mercury is their one and only friend.
"We'll bring her home from school to join us then, the fun starts tonight. But first, let's go experience the school fame." Sadie smiled.
They got in the car, driving out.
Shayla's toes hit a edge, and she fell, getting wounded.
"Get up, wench!" The chief yelled, and she quickly got up.
"I'm... sorry." She muttered, voice gentle but as beautiful as her face.
She ran after the chief, but she felt eyes on herself, so she looked up again.
It's Jude.
He's standing beside his car at the second park. He's about to leave the palace for official duties, and his eyes stayed on her wounded toes as she walked past.
With a bow, Shayla looked away from him, concentrating on her walk.
The chief took her to the Slaves Wing, then he left her to enter by herself.
She stepped into the hall, and at first, fear gripped her.
There are multitude of slaves in there, and there are beds, though they're flat, but they're still beds.
She stayed in the Dark Room cage all her life, so she has never slept on a bed. The need to fall on the mattress and sleep almost overwhelmed her.
She batted her lashes to stay awake, looking at the hall again. Her fear is gone already, so she's looking at everyone too, staring back.
They all have heavy chains to their ankles like her, and they look as shabby and underfed as her, too.
They're currently eating breakfast of pie and custard.
She has heard that's what slaves and maids eat here.
"It's the 150 billion slave!" A short lady appeared, smiling up at her.
She's almost a dwarf.
No. She's actually a dwarf, but she looks cheerful, and judging by her looks, she's a slave too, just that she looks well-fed than the others.
Also, there's no shackling chains on her ankles.
"I'm Lilith" she spoke again.
"Shayla" Shayla's small voice replied.
"I know, everyone knows the 150 billion slave. Even me the most popular slave here was bought for 10 million. No one was bought for a billion, but you raised the stakes." Lilith said loudly, rounding her.
"You're the most popular slave?" Shayla asked softly.
"Listen... When a Luminaria mates with a human, the human gene suppresses the Luminaria gene, and that's why their child is always powerless, but in rare cases, the Luminaria gene suppresses the human gene, and the child is born with certain powers. My father was a Luminarian, my mother was a human. My father's Luminaria gene suppressed my mother's human gene, so I was born with little powers, one of its kind." Lilith explained.
"Oh..." Shayla nodded in understanding.
"I'm treated better than the rest of the slaves cos of my little power, and I even got the post of a janitress." Lilith shrugged, walking out of the hall.
Shayla followed her, though her mouth is itching to eat pie and custard.
"I happen to like you, so I'll explain how things work here for you." Lilith faced her.
Shayla blinked her long lashes.
"In this palace, avoid the evil twins if you wanna live long. Avoid Grand Supreme Zeke and his wife. And also, don't call Lord Ryker a bastard whenever Prince Jude is around. He loves Lord Ryker like a brother, so he'd kill you if you try it." Lilith explained.
"Lord Ryker? My buyer?" Shayla asked.
"Lord Ryker might have bought you, but you're gonna be working at the labor camp for the family. You're not gonna be working for him. You might not know, but Lord Ryker hates slaves." Lilith cleared.
"Really?" Shayla felt peace instantly, though it won't last, but hearing that she won't be working for Ryker is a blessing.
"Also you'll need to know the reason why Lord Ryker is answering the Millions surname instead of his real surname, why his father and sis are maids in the royal kitchen, and why he stays in that rich Heartless Tower even though he's not a royal." Lilith continued.
"But not now, I'll tell you the story when we're back."
"Back from where?" Shayla asked.
"Slaves Labor Camp opens by 9, but you have to go somewhere with me before then." Lilith smiled.
"Where?" Shayla asked again.
"You'll know when we get there. You're my favorite person now, so when we return, I'll get you the largest portion of food, then you can eat and we'll go join the others at the camp. Wait for me I'll be right back." Lilith told her, rushing inside.
Shayla stood there, thinking about what she just heard.
Lilith looks friendly, and she has never made a friend all her life, so she's kinda happy, slightly.
Her eyes caught her toe that was wounded earlier, and she was surprised to see the wound is gone like it was never there.
The hell?
She's very sure she hit her toe earlier before she saw Prince Jude at the park, so where did the wound go?
"Careful, don't trust Lilith too much." A new voice said beside her, making her look up from her toe to see another female slave.
"She uses people and dumps them when she's done. She'd ruin you." The female said and left.
Shayla was still wondering what it meant when Lilith came back for her.
"Let's go!" She pulled her along.
Shayla looked back, but the slave is already gone from that corridor.
With a pure chaste mind, she followed Lilith.
Lilith took her to the Bamboo Groove, entering through the shadow of the leaves.
"Where are we?" Shayla asked as they tiptoed under the darkness.
"Shhh!" Lilith placed a hand on her plump lips.
Shayla blinked once, then they continued their journey.
She could feel the iciness of the Groove. It wrapped around her like a nest of snakes, and for no reason, she's scared.
Something is telling her that this journey is dangerous, but Lilith seems too bold, so she followed till they got to the back of clustered bamboos where they both hid.
From there, they peeped out to see a Spring Pool in front of them, and in the middle of the pool, Ryker sat shirtlessly, steam rising calmly in the ambience surrounding him.
His back is on them.
"Lord Ryker!" Shayla gasped, turning away.
"Shh, just watch. That's my crush, don't ruin my picnic." Lilith whispered.
"But this is wrong. He's got sharp hearing like I heard, and I'm sure he knows we're here. I don't wanna die yet." Shayla shook her head.
"I told you I've got little powers, right?" Lilith smiled. "My little power can block noises from others, so he definitely can't hear us, trust me. Just look at that divine body. I want to touch him so bad."
Shayla peeked out from behind the bamboo clusters again, unable to blink as she had another look at Ryker's back view.
He's still sitting still in the pool.
His body is clean—white as snow, but his back has a tattoo in the middle.
The tattoo of a frozen sword.
"See that frozen tattoo?" Lilith whispered.
Shayla faced her.
"His partner has it on her body too, but her own would be a burning sword instead of ice. He has been looking for that partner for years with no success." Lilith explained.
"Partner? So... they'll get married?" Shayla asked.
"Darn, 150 billion. You're really naive." Lilith sighed.
"What do you mean naive? Isn't he meant to...get married to his partner?" Shayla softly said.
Her leg mistakenly hit a small stone beside her, and the stone fell, making a loud rolling noise.
Ryker's blue eyes snapped open in the spring pool, and the girls gasped.
"Darn!" Lilith pushed Shayla out.
Shayla landed on the dried bamboo leaves on the ground, then Lilith ran out of the Groove, escaping alone.
Shayla's chest thudded with irregular beats, bursting with fear and breaking at the taste of Lilith's betrayal.
She struggled to stand up, but the moment she stood, she was lifted off her feet by an arcane energy that definitely belongs to Ryker.
She levitated, and her body slammed up against the bamboo shadows
One of the stems pierced her tummy.
"Arghh!!! Wait please it wasn't...I didn't...come here on my own!!" She cried out, legs struggling frantically in the air.
Her rag shoes fell off her feet, and her blood wet the bamboo.
"Pleasss...I..I'm..."
Ryker stepped out of the Spring Pool, his feet bare.
Long white transparent pants hung low on his waist, and his well-built body flexed with the water which rode down his showing v-line.
He paused after few steps,, his head tilted threateningly.
"It's the beggar," He muttered, looking utterly unimpressed.
"Since you love death so much and even came here boldly for it, I'll gladly give it to you."
He raised that hand to strike, and Shayla's eyes popped in terror, widening beyond their sockets.
"No no no.... Please don't kill me! Please don't... please!!!"
TBC.
