King Luke III ascended to the throne at just twenty-five after losing his father. He married his betrothed and they were blessed with two children, Prince Alexander and Princess Diva. The royal family was beloved for their kindness and generosity. They improved the city's infrastructure, provided free school buses, and helped young people secure well-paying jobs.
Everyone was grateful for the lovely king and his son, who shared his father's kind heart. However, Princess Diva had a grumpy demeanor and a hot temper, taking after her mother, Queen Lala, who disliked people with dark skin. Queen Lala was known for her pride and haughty nature, making people fear approaching her. Instead, they preferred to seek help from the kind-hearted king.
Naomi attended the same school as the royal children, but she had no idea they were royalty. Prince Alexander and Princess Diva were a year ahead of her, and even when Naomi visited her father at the palace, she wasn't allowed to enter the main palace. She would wait for her dad at the gate, minding her own business.
★KING'S PALACE ★
The royal family sat down to a mouthwatering meal, surrounded by maids and guards.
"Hope you're enjoying your meal, son?" King Luke asked, his eyes crinkling at the corners. Alexander nodded "And you, Diva?"
"Yes, father."Princess Diva smiled sweetly.
"Hurry up with your food, so you can go to bed early." Queen Lala said.
The children nodded obediently, continuing to eat their meal.
King Luke spoke up again, his voice filled with excitement. "Son, get prepared for tomorrow. We await a special guest."
"Guest? What guest, Father?" Alexander asked curiously.
"Actually, son, they are your guests. You will be meeting your betrothed tomorrow." She said.
The children's eyes widened in surprise.
"Betrothed? What's that?" Princess Diva spoke up.
"It means the lady chosen to be Alexander's wife in the future." King Luke said.
"Wife?" Alexander asked confusedly.
Queen Lala nodded. "Yes, son. You will be meeting her tomorrow."
"Is she royalty too?" Diva asked.
"No, dear. She is the president's daughter. She was born to be Alexander's future wife." King Luke said.
"Why is that, Father? I'm only seven. Why choose a bride for me already?"
"It's a tradition, son." She said
"Were you betrothed to Mother, Father?" Diva asked curiously.
"Yes, your mother was betrothed to me. When I first saw her, I liked her immediately."
The children smiled, intrigued by their parents' story.
"Trust me, son. You're going to like her. She's an epitome of beauty." Lala said, smiling.
"Okay, let's wait till then." Alex said.
The royal family continued their meal, looking excited.
Later that day, Naomi played happily around the security post, her new toy clutched tightly in her small hands. Her father had just bought it for her, and she was thrilled. He had gone to the main palace to answer the king's summons, leaving Naomi to wait for him. As she played, a voice interrupted her.
"Hey."She looked around, trying to locate the speaker. "Over here," the voice called again.
This time, She saw a boy standing between the gate and the main palace building. He smiled warmly at her, and Naomi felt a sense of curiosity. She moved closer to him, her toy still clutched in her hand.
"Hey, who are you?" He asked politely.
"Um..." She hesitated.
"Are you new here?" he asked. She shook her head. "Why are you here? I've never seen you before."
"Who are you?" She asked, her curiosity getting the better of her.
"I'm Alexander, but you can call me Alex. What's your name?"
Just as Naomi was about to respond, a voice called out from the palace.
"Alex!"
Naomi's eyes widened as the she turned to leave. "Wait!" He called out, but she was already gone.
Alex turned back, wondering where the girl had disappeared to. He was about to search for her when his mother, appeared beside him.
"What are you doing there?" she asked, her voice stern.
"Nothing, Mom. I was just taking a walk around the palace."
"Don't you know you're not allowed to be left alone? Where is your guard?"
"I told them not to follow me around. Besides, I'm just inside the palace."
"That's no excuse. Next time, don't wander off. And who were you talking to over there?"
"Um..."He hesitated, unsure of how to respond.
"You're not allowed to speak to anyone. Now, let's go inside."
As his mother dragged him away, Alex turned back, hoping to catch another glimpse of the mysterious girl.

The next day, during free period, Naomi sat alone at her desk, scribbling in her book. The rest of the students were busy chatting with one another, their laughter and chatter filling the classroom.
Just then, a sudden commotion erupted as everyone rushed to the window. She wondered what was causing the excitement, but she didn't bother to get up and investigate.
As she glanced up from her book, she noticed that everyone's gaze was fixed on something outside. Prince Alexander and Princess Diva being escorted to their classroom, surrounded by guards and maids.
The students' eyes were wide with admiration, and they whispered to one another, wishing they could get closer to the royal siblings. But due to security concerns, only a select few students from high-ranking families were allowed to interact with them.
Prince Alexander looked wistful, his eyes scanning the classroom as if longing to be like the other students. He yearned to eat with them in the canteen, play with them on the field, and do silly things without the burden of his royal status.
Princess Diva, on the other hand, looked haughty and uninterested. She was a princess, after all, and she knew she had to maintain a regal demeanor.
Naomi, still oblivious to the royal siblings' presence, remained calm and focused on her book. She didn't let the commotion distract her, and she continued writing, her dark skin and blue eyes a stark contrast to the excitement and chaos around her.
★KING'S PALACE★
Later that evening, at the palace, a grand welcoming ceremony was held for the president's family. The palace staff had prepared a sumptuous feast, with an array of mouthwatering dishes that filled the air with savory aromas.
As they sat down to eat, the two families chatted lively, their conversation flowing effortlessly. Princess Diva couldn't help but notice Elora, the president's daughter, who possessed a beauty that was understated yet captivating. Elora's skin was as pale as snow, her dark brown eyes sparkling with warmth, and her golden hair cascading down her back like a river of sunset hues. Her V-shaped face was a picture of elegance, and her smile could light up a room.
"I must compliment your beauty, Elora," Diva said, her voice sincere.
Elora smiled back at Diva, "Thank you, you're beautiful too." Her British accent was music to their ears.
"Were you born in Britain?" Alexander asked politely.
The parents watched with delight as the children interacted, their faces filled with warmth and interest.
"Yes, I've lived there all my life," Elora replied. "I just came here to spend some time with my parents. My other siblings are still in Britain."
"That's cool," Alexander said, his deep grey eyes sparkling with interest.
As they continued eating, the introduction ceremony began. Elora couldn't help but notice Alexander's handsome features, which rivaled those of a Korean pop star. His deep grey eyes glinted with warmth, and his perfect oval face was a picture of elegance.
Meanwhile, Alexander excused himself and slipped out to the gate, searching for Naomi, the mysterious girl he had met the day before. He scanned the area, wondering if she would show up again.
"Was she a ghost or something?" he thought, sighing tiredly as he realized she was nowhere to be found.
He returned to the palace building, his heart still wondering about the enigmatic girl he had met at the gate.
