Sofia struggled with Troy. "Shawn!" she cried out, her voice hoarse from screaming. She freed herself from Troy's grasp and ran into the burning building, her eyes scanning the smoke-filled room for any sign of Shawn.
Troy's face was panicked, his eyes wide with fear as he called out to Sofia. "Sofia!" he yelled, but she was already gone, disappeared into the inferno.
The fire was spreading rapidly, the flames licking at the walls and ceiling. Sofia's eyes scanned the room, her heart racing with fear. And then she saw them - Shawn and Smith struggling with each other, their faces twisted in a fierce battle.
Sofia's eyes caught sight of a gun on the floor, and she quickly picked it up. "Shawn! Catch!" she called out, throwing the gun towards him.
Shawn's eyes was fixed on Smith. He pushed Smith off and grabbed the gun from the air, firing a shot at Smith's forehead. Smith fell to the ground, his eyes wide and unseeing.
Sofia rushed to Shawn, running into his arms and sobbing uncontrollably. Shawn's face was weak, his eyes filled with exhaustion, but he held her warmly, trying to comfort her.
Outside, everyone was waiting anxiously for Sofia and Shawn to emerge from the building alive. They had defeated Smith's men, but the building was still burning, and they feared the worst.
And then, they saw them - Sofia and Shawn emerging from the building, Sofia supporting Shawn on her shoulder. There was a collective sigh of relief, and everyone's faces lit up with joy.
But just as they were about to reach safety, the building exploded behind them, sending flames and debris flying everywhere. Shawn quickly shielded Sofia with his body, protecting her from the blast.

Days passed, and Lucas was getting better. Shawn was also recovering from the gunshot and bruises. Lucas was preparing to be discharged from the hospital, and Sofia had volunteered to prepare food for them, excited to showcase her cooking skills for the first time. She had been practicing and was eager for Shawn to taste her meal.
Shawn was in his ward, wincing slightly as the doctor unwrapped his wound. Diana wheeled Lucas into the room, their mother following closely behind. Everyone turned to greet them, their faces filled with warm smiles.
Troy's brow furrowed with concern. "How are you feeling, Mr. Lucas?"
Lucas smiled weakly, his eyes still sunken from the ordeal. "Very well, thank you."
Troy nodded, "That's good to know."
Shawn looked up from his bed, his eyes polite but curious. "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be resting before your discharge?"
Lucas's smile faltered, and he looked down, his eyes welling up with tears. "Well, I still have till evening before my discharge. I heard you are already discharged."
Shawn nodded, "Yes."
Lucas took a deep breath, his shoulders squaring. "Once again, I came to thank you for everything and to ask for your forgiveness."
"It's okay, the real culprit has been brought to light, so I don't blame you because I know it wasn't your fault."His face softened, his eyes filled with compassion.
The room fell silent, everyone's faces filled with emotion. Lucas's tears spilled over, and he sniffled, his shoulders shaking.
"Thank you," Lucas whispered, his voice cracking with gratitude.Hid eyes locked onto Shawn's, "I am so grateful, and I wish I could turn the hands of time...but, anyway, I will be turning myself to the police."
Troy's eyes widened in surprise, his face mirroring Shawn's shock. "Why?" Troy asked, his voice laced with concern.
"It's what I want to do, so I won't feel the guilt anymore. Let me also face the punishment for my action."
The room fell silent once more, everyone's faces filled with a mix of emotions - shock, concern, and admiration for Lucas's bravery.
"Is that what you want?" Shawn asked.
Lucas nodded resolutely, his jaw clenched. "Yes, it's the only way."
"Okay, I will send my lawyer to you in order for your sentence to be lesser."
The room fell silent, everyone's faces filled with surprise and relief. Grandma's face lit up with gratitude, her eyes shining with tears.
"Thank you so much," Grandma said, her voice trembling.
He smiled warmly, his eyes crinkling. "It's okay, you're welcome."
Meanwhile, Sofia entered her father's ward, looking around curiously. She couldn't find them and placed the food flask on the table, wondering where they had gone. The door opened, and her family entered.
"You're here," Diana said, smiling.
Sofia's brow furrowed, her eyes narrowing. "Where did you all go to?"
"To see Shawn, he's getting discharged. I just wanted to thank him for everything." He said.
Grandma's face beamed with joy, her eyes sparkling. "And I guess what? He has forgiven your father, and everything is fine now."
The family smiled, their faces filled with relief.
"But I have told him that I will turn myself in, and he said he will send his lawyer to me for my sentences to be lesser."He said.
Sofia's eyes widened, her face filled with surprise. "That's nice." She took the food flask, "I guess it's time to make things right. I haven't been able to see him for the past three days since the incident. I hope today things change."
The family smiled, their faces filled with encouragement.
Diana's eyes sparkled, her lips curving. "It will. I guess he's dying to see you too."
Sofia smiled, her face lighting up. "Sure, I'll be right back. That's your meal on the basket." She left, and the family smiled after her, their faces filled with warmth and love.
Sofia's face beamed with excitement as she approached Shawn's room. She was about to open the door when she heard Shawn and Troy talking. Her curiosity got the better of her, and she stood still, listening.
Troy's brow furrowed, his eyes narrowing. "Now that you have forgiven her parents and everything is settled, will your relationship with Sofia still stand as before?"
Shawn sighed, his eyes gazing downward. "I don't know."
Troy's expression turned incredulous, his mouth agape. "What do you mean you don't know? Don't you want her anymore?" Shawn hesitated, his eyes avoiding Troy's. "She loves you, and you two need to bring back your relationship where you left it."
"I am trying to process it, I guess I need space to heal my wound first."He said
"So, you are going to tell her you need time to process?" He asked surprisedly.
Shawn nodded. "Yes, a lot has happened, and I need to cool off a bit."
Sofia, who was listening, felt a pang of sadness and heartbreak. Tears crawled down her face, and she quietly turned around, leaving before Shawn could noticed her.
"Are you sure about this?" Troy asked.
Shawn nodded, his eyes fixed on the window. "Yes, I hope she understands." He stared outside, his eyes filled with a deep sadness, as if he already knew he was hurting Sofia.
Sofia returned to her dad's ward, tears streaming down her face. Her family's eyes widened in surprise as they saw her crying. They immediately stopped eating and rushed to her side.
Diana's brow furrowed, her eyes filled with concern. "What happened? Why are you crying?" she asked curiously.
"Shawn doesn't want me anymore." She sobbed.
Her family's expressions turned shocked, their mouths agape. Diana quickly pulled her into a warm hug.
"It's okay, stop crying now," Diana said softly, trying to comfort Sofia.
Sofia's body shook with sobs as she buried her face in Diana's shoulder. "I don't want to go away from him," she whispered.
Grandma's face filled with empathy, her eyes warm with understanding. "He will come around, don't lose hope," she said, placing a gentle hand on Sofia's back.
They nodded in agreement, their faces filled with concern and support. They surrounded Sofia, offering words of comfort and consolation as she cried.
