The slaps kept coming and more tears poured out of Ceres's eyes till Jennifer stopped.
Her cheeks were so reddish like tomatoes, Myles released her and she staggered with a teary face.
"Learn to stay away from me, I don't like you too, it's not my fault that I'm better than you in everything, now get out if you don't want more slaps" Jennifer snarled, drawing closer to her.
"You both, I promise, you will all regret this" she shouted and stormed into her car.
"Please, try and use ice on your face, we are deeply sorry" Myles shouted as she drove out.
He started laughing and when he turned, he saw Jennifer staring at him, he stopped laughing and she cleared her throat awkwardly.
"Did you just call me boss twice?" she asked.
"Did I?" he retorted, flashing her an innocent look.
"I know it wasn't real, you call me by my name like we are age mates" Jennifer said, and he came closer, he placed his hand on her forehead, and she looked at him.
"What?"
"Your body is not hot, you are definitely fine" he replied.
"Meaning?" she asked.
"Only a sick person will say this, we are both 26" he replied.
"What!"
"Don't be surprised, let's go" he smiled, and entered the car.
Jennifer got back in the car still staring at him.
"I'm going to meet up with Paige in a cafe.."
"You already told me that" he cut her off, and started the car.
She started smiling as she remembered how Myles grabbed Ceres's hands and how he was hailing her.
This night could pass as the best.
She suddenly leaned closer to him.
"I didn't know you had this craziness in you" she smiled prettily.
"She deserves it" he replied.
"I thought you hated me" she muttered.
"Maybe I hate her more than you" he replied flatly, and she moved back.
She continued smiling till he stopped at the cafe.
Paige's car was already parked there.
"Care to come with me" she said behind.
"No, I'm fine" he replied.
She came out and walked into the cafe.
Myles took his phone and started chatting with Everest.
Jennifer met Paige on the table, sipping from the coffee.
"You are here" Paige smiled.
"You look cute, baby girl" Paige said, and Jennifer smiled.
"Thank you" she said, sitting down.
Another cup of coffee was placed on the table as Paige gave the signal.
"You look tense, what is it?" Jennifer asked.
"Everest got a job as a manager at Silver bird" Paige replied.
"What! Your rival company, so what are you going to do?"
"He's not picking my calls, I may be harsh and cold to him but there's no one near that guy, Everest is a genius" Paige said.
"For real?"
"I made sales I haven't made in my entire life since he started working for me for days, he got this extraordinary ideas in his head"
"You can't lose this guy babe" Jennifer said.
"I need to get access to him, I don't mind going to his house, I want to beg him, I don't mind hurting my ego, I can't" Paige said, and Jennifer smiled.
"Only my crazy driver can help you, they are friends but prepare yourself to face frustration from Myles, he's so fond of Everest.
"I don't mind" Paige muttered gently, and Jennifer smiled.
LUXURY RESTAURANT*
Sloane was walking out when Michelin ran after her and tapped her. She turned and saw her smiling at her.
"I'm Michelin, I have been trying to talk to you" she said cheerfully.
"I'm Sloane" Sloane smiled.
"I like you, it's nice talking to you, you have a sexy voice" she winked.
Sloane was about to say something when Newton came out.
Her eyes went to his arm and she saw a patch there. She looked up and their eyes met but he shortly look away.
"Good night" he muttered with a smile, and started leaving.
"Senior Newton" Michelin rushed after him, and grabbed his arm.
"I told you to stop calling me senior" he smiled handsomely.
"I hate calling people above me by their name" she said and he touched her hair.
"You care for coffee?" he asked, and she giggled happily.
"That's my favorite, I want it creamy" she said, and he smiled.
They started walking out and Michelin looked back, waving at Sloane till they went out.
Sloane maintained a firm expression on her face as she walked out of the restaurant.
CERES'S MANSION*
Ceres was placing ice on her cheeks with a livid face, cursing Myles and Jennifer in her mind.
"That guy is crazy" she said disdainfully.
"I hate him so much" she said, almost throwing the ice away.
She touched her face and screamed.
"F*ck!!" she shot, groaning.
"Was she planning to disfigure my face? I'm going to get back at the two of you" she said determinedly.

Everest was waiting for Sloane with a smile as he couldn't wait to taunt with his new job. She told him that he won't get a job so easily but things turned out so fast for him.
The door opened, and he looked up immediately.
Sloane came in, and he stood up. He rushed to her and hugged, he started swaying her.
"Everest, what are you doing?" she started smiling.
"I just got a new job" he replied and put her down.
"You are joking right? How?"
"I got a job from Silver bird as a manager"
"I can remember you submitted your CV to them first"
"I got called today, I'm resuming tomorrow" he said excitedly.
"Are you done with elite group of company?"
"Do I need to tell you, I already got a job"
"Congratulations kiddo" she smiled and hugged him.
"Go and freshen up, I prepared something special for you" he smiled, and she broke the hug.
She went to her room, and sighed, she was actually holding it.
Her mind went to when she pushed Newton, and she started feeling guilty again. She has been feeling this way even at work, and he did his best to avoid her.
"I don't even know why I did that" she said, sighing repeatedly.

"Eat more" Grandma Patricia said, stroking Myles's hair. He was smiling as he ate.
"Baby" he called, and she smiled.
"Yes, my boy" she replied.
"You should eat" he smiled.
"I'm full watching you eating, when are you introducing your girlfriend..."
Myles started coughing immediately, and grandma Patricia passed a cup of water to him, he took it and drank immediately.
"I'm sorry" she said, and nodded.
She looked at his innocent face and smiled happily.
"You are the most handsome guy in the world"
"My woman" he called.
"Someone might mistake me for your girlfriend" she laughed.
"You are my girlfriend" he smiled, and she stroked his hair.
"Should I add you more rice?" she asked.
"No" he replied.
"What about meat?"
"Add me a thousand" he said, and she chuckled.
"I know you won't reject this one" she smiled and started adding more meat to his rice.
Myles got to his room and was taking his clothes off when his phone started ringing on the bed.
He checked his phone and his eyes widened when he saw BRAT. That's how he saved Jennifer's number on his phone, he's sure she saved his own worse than his own.
He couldn't believe she was calling him, maybe it's something important.
He picked up the call.
"Hello Myles, have you gotten home already?" she asked in a soft voice, and his eyes came wide again.
"I.. this is a wrong number" he said, and hung up.
Jennifer called again, and he rubbed his eyes before picking the call.
"You are such a mood spoiler, I just call to check if you get home, don't take it as anything" she said with a scoff.
"I didn't expect it from you so I thought you wanted to say it to someone else" he said.
"Good night" she said, and hung up.
"Is she okay?" he muttered before he continued taking his clothes off again.

Jennifer dropped her phone on the bed and sat down, palming her face. She released breaths in her palms before looking up.
He's the most annoying guy she has ever met.
"He's so annoying"
"He's right, I shouldn't have called him, he's just my driver" she said but she felt bad immediately she uttered the last sentence.
"Gosh!!" she said.
"I haven't been nice to any of my workers like this before, what's so special about him?"
NEXT MORNING, EVEREST'S PLACE*
Sloane left the house before Everest as he was still preparing for work. He came out of his room after a while, looking so handsome in his fashion design.
He had a simple smile on his face as he walked to the door. He twisted the door and opened it but immediately he stepped out, he stopped on his tracks as he saw Paige's car in his house, just arriving.
The door was opened for her, and she came out. She started walking to him immediately, their eyes on each other.
"What are you doing here?" he asked coldly, and she almost flinched.
"I..."
"How did you know my house, I don't remember stating my home address in my CV?" he cut her off, and she swallowed.
"Myles, it better not be you, cos I will kill you"
"I'm leaving for work" he added.
"I'm sorry" she muttered gently, and he looked at her with wide eyes. Did that just come from her? Did she just say sorry?
"I know I haven't been good to you, I'm sorry, work for me again, please" she said softly.
"I'm sorry I got another job and I think I love it more"
"I will triple your salary, please Everest" she pleaded, staring into his eyes.
He stared at her without saying a word, and they started staring at each other without breaking the lock.
She was feeling nervous, and it wasn't really easy saying sorry.
"I can't work for you again" he said with hostility.
"You just spoil my happy mood, leave" he said coldly, and turned to go into the house but he was surprised when Paige entered.
"What do..." she stood before him before he could complete his sentence.
"I missed you" she said, and a dead silence fell in the room.
