"Who are you rooting for tonight?" Hailey asked,sitting on the floor beside Birdie before giving her one of the can drinks in her hand.
"Why asking?" Birdie asked,opening the can.
"I know you always root for Noah,but these days you keep getting closer to Waylon so I was wondering if you might be rooting for Waylon now" Hailey said.
"I want him to win" Birdie muttered.
"Who?" Hailey faced her.
"Noah" Birdie replied and Hailey turned back to the TV.
"Even after everything?" She asked.
"He didn't do anything,what are you talking about" Birdie said
"He doesn't seem to have interest in you tho,are you gonna keep on pushing and chasing after him?" Hailey asked and Birdie swallowed but then spoke up
"Thinking about it.....I'm not even chasing after him Hailey,I don't do things to impress him like other girls would do,but I think I should start doing it now" Birdie said and Hailey looked at her.
"Why?"
"Because I love him" Birdie blurted out.
Hailey said nothing more,she faced the TV back and it became silent.

🎙 LADIES AND GENTLEMEN,WELCOME TO THE 34TH ANNUAL CEO AWARD!!!
The guests screamed on top of their voices,clapping as the MC spoke up loudly.
The room was no doubt filled with billionaires,CEOs,businessmen and women,alot more.
"I'm nervous" Vivian muttered,she was sitting on the same booth with Noah who was busy with his phone.
The event went on and on for about an hour before the golden hour came knocking.
🎙 IT'S THE MOMENT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR,WHO IS GONNA TAKE THE AWARD HOME THIS NIGHT? THIS YEAR?
Waylon sighed out from his table,Reagan chuckled.
"Why are you pretending to look worried? Isn't it yours?" She asked and Waylon looked at him.
"Can you just stay away from me for a second?" He asked.
"I wish I can,but dad wants me here,show off I guess. Don't worry,I'm gonna scream out when he mention your name" Reagan smirked and Waylon ignored her.
Reagan's eyes shifted back to Noah and she sighed.
'How can he look so hot and unbothered at the same time?? Gosh' she whined inwardly.
🎙 THE CEO OF THE YEAR AWARD GOES TO!!!
Screams came from every angle,reacting to the suspense.
🎙 GOES TO WAYLON KAY EVERYONE!!!!
Everyone stopped for a second looking shocked but it was immediately covered with screams and claps.
"Congratulations brother!!" Reagan screamed as promised.
Waylon stood up as the claps continued.
🎙 THIS IS AMAZING,FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FIVE YEARS,WAYLON KAY OVERTOOK CHRIS NOAH TO GET THE AWARD! SHOUT OUT TO HIM!
"This is insane" Vivian faced Noah.
"How?" He asked.
"I just.....thought,you know....."
"I'm not the only one here Vivian" Noah cautioned and she sighed.
"I wish I can be as calm as you are right now" She muttered.
Noah looked up as Waylon started his speech,after the speech,Noah joined others to clap and the after party started.
"Are you gonna wait for the after party?" Vivian asked.
"If I leave,you know what the News will be like tomorrow" Noah muttered,taking his cutlery as the waitresses started serving their table.

Finally the party came to an end,and everyone could be seem in groups smiling and chatting,Noah was surrounded.
"It's so good to see you again Noah,we met here after one year" A lady said,shaking hands with him.
"Same here" Noah smiled.
"I enjoy everything from your company,I'm a top fan,I should get some award for that" A woman said and Noah chuckled.
"I will prepare a box of that for you then" He said and the woman hugged him shortly.
Alot more kept coming until his guards came in to usher him out together with Vivian.
"Boss,the reporters are more than twenty outside" One of the guards said.
"Just do your job then" Vivian snapped.
He was right,the moment the door was opened,flashlights from different angles almost blinded them.
They rushed toward him.

"The award is meant for anyone,not just me,so I didn't lose" Noah said.

His guards started clearing the way for him toward his car.

The reporters still followed till Noah entered the car,they turned back and rushed to Waylon also.

'That was unexpected" Hailey muttered.
Birdie sighed out and drank the remaining liquid in the can.
"Waylon deserves it,He's hardworking too" She said and stood up.
"Goodnight Hailey" She said and walked out,she went straight to their apartment and entered her room. She fell on the bed and groaned out.
"He's going to be okay right?" She asked herself and sat up again.
It's been a week since she saw him,he doesn't order anything so she doesn't get the chance to see him either,it's now more like she returned to her fangirling period.
"Is he still mad at me or something?" She sighed and fell back on the bed.
"He's really unbelievable,so unbelievable. He's going to forget about me? No,he's stuck forever" She scoffed.
She started thinking of what to do till she slept off.

<MORNING~NH PREMIER>
"Seriously,are they still outside?" Maria asked the other staffs as she came out.
"Yes they are,I wonder when the boss will arrive" Sophie sighed out.
"I pray he comes with guards today,not alone" Another staff said
"Yeah I hope so too"
Noah's fans are outside the company's gate since hours ago,some were holding gifts and other things.
They came thinking of a way to make him happy after loosing the award last night.
Minutes later,two cars arrived and immediately the fans rushed to the one in front.
The door of the second car opened and four guards came out.

The guards opened the door for Noah,preventing the fans from getting closer to him.

Noah sighed out speechlessly,not knowing exactly how to react,he ordered the guards to collect the gifts the fans were holding and offering to him.
"Thank you all,I really appreciate your love. Thank you....." He said as he walked into the company.

"Love you to" Noah replied and waved at them,smiling brightly till he finally went in.
Birdie who was watching from the other side sighed out.
"He doesn't look sad as expected" She mumbled and returned to the restaurant.

Noah replied with nods as usual as the staffs kept greeting,he finally got to his office,opening the door,he found countless gifts on the table.

"Are they serious right now?" He sat down.
Vivian came in just immediately.
"Good morning" She smiled.
"Morning" Noah said
"Can you clear these from the table? Put them somewhere else" Noah muttered,shifting his eyes to the laptop.
"Did you slept well?" Vivian asked after she finished.
"Yeah...get me a cold coffee. Creamy" Noah muttered,not taking his eyes from the screen.
Vivian stared at him for a second before leaving

<KAY GROUP OF COMPANY>
Waylon walked into his office with a smiley face,his workers decided to celebrate his win for him and he just returned. But his smile disappeared when he saw Kay sitting on his seat.
"Dad...what are you doing here?" He asked.
"Congratulations,you won the award" Kay said and stood up.
"Thank you" Waylon muttered
"You should better buckle up from this moment,you won the award but Noah is trending more" Kay said and Waylon bite his lips.
"I understand" He muttered.
"Come home later in the night for dinner" Kay said and walked out of the office.
Waylon sat down with a loud sigh, he switched on the TV.
The first person to come up was Noah.
📺 THIS REALLY CAME AS A SHOCK TO NOAH'S FANS........
Waylon turned it off immediately and threw the control on the table loudly. He run his fingers into his hair frustratingly.
"Just.....why him?" He muttered.

<AXEL'S MANSION~7PM>
"You sound so good buddy" Axel chuckled,he was on a call with Noah as he entered the house.
"Yeah I just got home,when are you leaving the office?"
"Then,I will talk to you later"
He hung up the call and Evelyn showed up.
"Welcome sir" she bowed,trying to take his suitcase.
"Never mind" Axel said,taking the stairs.
"Sir,dinner" Evelyn said and Axel faced her back.
"Can you bring it to my room?" He asked.
"Yes sir" Evelyn replied.
"Make sure you eat also,I don't like the idea of preparing my food specially,what about you?" Axel said and went upstairs.
Evelyn blushed and went straight into the kitchen.

<NH PREMIER~NOAH'S OFFICE>
Vivian opened the door and Noah looked up from what he was doing,he was just about concluding his work
"I will call you when I'm done Vivian" Noah said
"That girl is here,I can't remember you ordering for anything" Vivian said looking pissed.
'Bug?' Noah asked inwardly and looked at Vivian
"Let her in" He said and Vivian raised her brows but she didn't say a word before going out.
A minute later,the door opened and Birdie came in,she closed the door slowly and their eyes met.
She walked closer to his table and dropped a wrapped gift.
"I'm here as a fan" She muttered.
"I was sad last night" she added.
"Take care,goodnight" She said and turned to go.
"Hey bug" Noah called and she faced him back.
"Come closer,not there" Noah said and Birdie raised her brows.
"Closer?" She asked and Noah nodded.
She bite her lips and slowly walked over to him like he said.
"Here.?" She asked.
Noah grabbed her hand and dragged her closer,she landed on his laps and a gasp escaped her lips.
"I'm sorry......" She made to get up immediately but Noah pulled her back on his laps and she faced him in shock. Their faces almost touching.
"I've not seen you for seven days" Noah muttered and Birdie gulped. She was literally breathless on Noah's laps but then it became hotter.
Noah wrapped his arms around her and hugged her gently.
"I missed you" He muttered and Birdie's heart skipped a beat.
