After all my hard work to get Riley’s affections and attention, some mysterious b+tch shows up and takes him away from me… To be honest, Christen is so bewitchingly beautiful.. She should be with politicians or wealthy business men, but a professor.. Something isn’t right about her… I won’t let her snatch Riley away from me.. He’s mine and mine alone.. I saw him first.
As the days passed, I felt nauseous and disgusted as I saw Riley and Christen together… They would always laugh and smile at each other as if they were the perfect couple… I tried all I could to get Riley’s attention but never for once did he give me a second look even when I dressed seductively.. I felt angered by this… What’s so special about that Christen? She’s just a woman like me.. And what’s even annoying is that, Everyone hates her but except Riley.. I’m sure he must have heard about her snobby attitude and her arrogant ways of snubbing people but he doesn’t seem to care, He just sticks to her like glue.. I was hoping one of this days, Christen would shun him but no.. She too was wrapping herself all over Riley… I just couldn’t watch this anymore.
So one afternoon, the rest of the lecturers and I began to discuss about Christen.

Titus ➡ Seriously? Do you see the way she’s behaving? As if she’s the VC of this campus.

Wale ➡ Hmm, you haven’t seen anything.. She’s even getting students attention as well, though they don’t like her but they say she’s the best lecturer in this department.

Daniela ➡ and speaking of Prof.. Don’t you see how she and Prof. Riley are… Like 5 and 6..

Titus ➡ Yeah.. Man that guy is having a good time..I’m sure he’s balls deep in her sweet pink void every night.

Amelia ➡ Shut up… Sex is all you men know.. Maybe she’s just using Riley for something else.. I don’t trust her.

In that moment as we were talking, we felt a gentle breeze behind us and as we turned around, we were shocked to see Christen smiling at us.

Christen ➡ Its surprising how the wind passes words around.. I was passing by when I heard you quacks gossiping about me.. It’s a little immature don’t you think? I mean you’re all adults…

Before I knew what was happening, I felt a resounding slap on my cheek, I was surprised to see it was Wale that slapped me.

Amelia ➡ (shocked) Wale…. What’s the meaning of this?

Everyone of us was surprised by what happened… After that Christen left and went her way, Shortly after that I confronted Wale for what he did.

Amelia ➡ You traitor, how could you embarrass me like that?

Wale ➡ Wetin happen? Why are you talking to me like that?

Tope ➡ Cheii… Weren’t you the one that slapped her?

Daniela ➡ Amelia now!

Titus ➡ Bur you just did.. A few minutes ago.. You even apologized to Christen on Amelia’s behalf.

Wale ➡ Shebi una smoke weed abi? If this is a joke better stop it.. Me I’m leaving I have lecture now.

Wale left the room leaving us all in total shock, he sounded so serious, and something was strange about Wale’s sudden behavior, he wouldn’t do something like that, something strange was definitely going on, and Christen must be behind this somehow.. Maybe there’s more to her than meets the eye, and I’m going to find out.

Ever since that night Christen and I reunited, life never seemed so good, Since then we’ve been hanging out in her place and around the Iroko tree catching up on things that we’ve missed, I even got reacquainted with Solomon who wasn’t pleased about our reunion.. It’s not that he hates me or anything but he was afraid of the consequences that might follow… In any case, Christen and I didn’t care about the consequences, what mattered was the love we shared between us.
Though things have been good between me and Christen, things haven’t been going well in Ibadan and around the campus as well, Death tolls have been rising up in the city and girls were also missing in the campus, The death tolls were cause by consistent arguments and fights over small issues, the Law enforcement authorities have tried their best to content the situation but then they too began to get caught in this fiasco as well.
As for the campus, Parents have been bringing in reports about their missing daughters and we couldn’t do anything else but send them to the Authorities, we had even made sure security was tight around campus.
One morning, Timothy and I arrived at the campus and went to our offices, on our way there we saw many posters plastered on the halls about an orientation program about Girls empowerment, In that moment, we saw Amelia looking at the posters as well, so we asked her about the stuff.

Timothy ➡ Morning Amelia.

Amelia ➡ Good morning sir.. And Timothy.

Riley ➡ What’s going on here? Who’s plastered all this posters?

Amelia ➡ I have no idea, I just saw it too this morning.. But this empowerment thing.. It’s a good thing.. It’s good if our lazy young ladies get to do something meaningful with their lives.

Amelia ➡ Today at noon.. It would be a good thing if we too went, after all they said everyone is invited.

I left both Amelia and Timothy and went to my office, upon arriving there, I came face to face with Khalid.

Khalid ➡ I wanted it to be a surprise…

Riley ➡ Come on in.. Let’s get inside and talk.

Khalid and I went into my office and we began to catch up on things, it was good seeing Khalid, He’s never a boring guy, he always has something interesting to liven up the mood.
As we were talking, Another surprise visitor came into my office, it was Tina. I was shocked to see her, despite being quite old and mature, she still maintained her gorgeous look, as she approached me and Khalid, I rose up from my seat and we hugged.

Tina ➡ Riley look at you.. Mr. Prof himself. You look good and fit, unlike Khalid here.

Riley ➡ Tina, it’s so good to see you.. You look stunning.. So how’s the trip?

Tina ➡ It was manageable.. Khalid and I arrived yesterday, I decided I would pop in later, I was exhausted from last nights palava.

Riley ➡ I see.. Come on have a seat we have lots to talk about.

I knew something like this would happen.. These two! They should just marry each other, they both suit one another, it’s like they’re meant to be.

Riley ➡ So Have you guys seen the new Ibadan?

Yesterday, when Khalid and I arrived at the park yesterday, The taxi waiting to park our loads were fighting over who’s going to park our load, one had to smash his friends head with a stone.. God.. The sight of blood made me shiver..

Riley ➡ Hmm, that’s what had been going on.. Nobody knows the source of this chaos. Even here in the campus we’re facing our own problems.. Female students are getting missing mysteriously… Its like some kind of evil has spread over the city.

Khalid ➡ Anyways, May Allah help us all.. In the mean time.. Me and my madam here are going to have the best time of our lives.

Riley ➡ I’m sure you will. Just don’t over do it.. Besides why don’t you guys get married?

Just as Khalid and Tina were about to leave, an old man bursted into my office, looking sad and weary… He rushed to where I was and knelt down before me as he wept. All of us were surprised by what happened.. Amelia soon followed in as well.

Amelia ➡ Sir, I’m sorry for the intrusion, this man here wanted to see you about his missing daughter but I told him you were busy and the police were the ones he’s supposed to meet not you but he sneaked passed me and somehow found his way here.

Riley ➡ Its okay Amelia, I’ll handle everything.. Just go back to your work.

Immediately Amelia left, I grabbed hold of the old man and gently raised him up to his feet consoling him the best way I could.

Riley ➡ Its alright sir.. What’s wrong?

Old man ➡ Oh my son, I’m sorry for interrupting you but I need your help.. My daughter Mary is a student here in this department.. She talks highly of you and considers you her role model… She’s been missing for two days… Please… My son.. Help me find her.

Riley ➡ I’m sorry sir.. I wish there was a way I can help but I can’t.. You should report this to the police.

Old man ➡ But my son I already did.. They told me that they’re too busy to start looking for my daughter… Please my son.. She’s the only child God has given me in world.. Please I beg you.. Help me.. Look for her.. Please…

My heart felt heavy when I saw the old man cry.. Its sad really.. But what could I do? I’m just a academic scholar not a detective… Well, I’ll just have to try and do something.. Even I myself I’m tired of all this mysterious kidnappings.. What kind of a heartless being would do something like this.

Old man ➡ Thank you my son.

The old man gave me his contact number and left after that, as soon as he was gone, Christen walked into the office, Khalid and Tina were surprised when they saw us kiss.

Riley ➡ Splendid but it would have been more exciting if you were with me.

After Tina and Khalid left, I asked Christen why they couldn’t recognize her..

Christen ➡ The day the council erased your memories, The supreme witch Orisaye made a powerful spell over Ibadan wiping out the memories of anyone who had contact with me, or anything that would make anyone remember about me.. And that included your friends.

Christen ➡ Enough talk of the past.. I’ve missed you.. Do you want to do something fun? If you like I could teleport us to America or Japan.. Anywhere you want to go.

Minutes later, Christen and I arrived at the VCs office and as we got into his office, we saw him talking with some policemen. They all turned around when they saw me and Christen especially her, I heard one of the policemen whistling. F*cking idiot.

Abegunde (VC) ➡ Prof Riley.. To what do I owe this visit?.. And Mrs. Christen, my dear you look stunning.

Christen ➡ Thank you.

Riley ➡ Afternoon sir.. I’m here to talk to you about something.. Its about the missing female students sir.. Their parents are heartbroken.. Sir, there must be something we can do… I think the kidnapper is in this school..

Abegunde ➡ Yes but you see Mr. Riley, as we can see we can’t do anything.. We’ve sent the parents to the police to lay their complains and as you can see here are the police. They too are busy with the situation ongoing on in this city.

Police man ➡ Yes.. That’s why we’ve come to tell you people not the send anymore parents to us.. If their children are missing they should deal with it.

I couldn’t believe I heard that, I couldn’t keep quiet after I heard his nonsensical statement.

Riley ➡ What do you mean by that? You’re a police officer, it is your sole duty to look after the welfare and safety of the people…

Police man ➡ We know that Prof. But our hands are full and besides the parents should learn to keep their children indoors during times like this.. We can’t be dealing with small matters during a time like this.

Riley ➡ Are you really saying this? These girls are human beings.. And speaking of kidnap, one can be safe in his house and still be kidnapped… If you can’t do your jobs I suggest you quit your jobs. You’re of no use to the society.

Police man ➡ Watch your mouth Prof.. You’re talking to an officer of the law, I could arrest you right now for disrespecting an officer.

Abegunde ➡ Please let’s all calm down.. Riley forget about this matter..

Riley ➡ Sir, this are our students.. We can’t just sit down and do nothing.

Abegunde ➡ Look here Riley… You’re a Prof not a detective.. If you want to be a detective or a hero, I suggest you quit your job and do that, we don’t have to meddling into worthless affairs that doesn’t concern us..

I felt angry when I heard those words…. I can’t believe this men are suggesting we do nothing.. Is it because their own daughters or loved ones are not among.. I wanted to say something but as if Christen was reading my mind, she cooled me down before I could do anything.

Christen ➡ Please don’t be offended by Riley’s ideals.. He’s just been under pressure lately.. It’s not easy.

Abegunde ➡ I agree, Riley listen to Christen, may you need some time off.. Take a day off, go home and relax.

After that Christen dragged me and we both left the VCs office, as soon as we were outside, I had to confront her about what she did in there.

Christen and I went to the parking lot, as soon as we got there, Christen asked me to keep an eye out for anyone coming, while I was doing that, Christen went close to a tree and touched it, murmuring some spells.

Christen ➡ Demons of creations, Makers of false reflections, make a copy of myself to fool the eyes of those who can’t see the truth of reality.

After that, The tree branches began to transform into a human feminine form and seconds later, there were two Christen’s standing behind me.. I was so shocked and speechless… There was no way I could who was the real or fake Christen, they both looked alike.

Riley ➡ Jesus Christ!!! Christen.. What did you do?

Christen ➡ Relax, I made a clone of myself..it can imitate whatever I can do and it has my memories as well, except my powers… Nobody would know this is fake me.

Christen ➡ A few years ago.. Okay now lets go before anyone sees us..

After Christen’s clone made its way to the department, Christen and I entered my car and we drove out of the campus.
The place where Christen wanted to go was outside Ibadan, so I filled my tank with enough fuel and drove to the place.
As we were driving, I couldn’t help but stare at Christen lovely profile as she faced outside looking at the view, She looked so beautiful. As If she noticed I was looking at her, Christen told me to focus.

Christen ➡ Eyes on the road.. You’ve been staring at me, for the last 30mins.

After that, Christen kept quiet looking outside again, I sensed as if something was bothering her, so I reached out and placed my hand on soft thigh rubbing it slowly.. Christen reacted by smiling a little, she turned around and stared at me.

Riley ➡ You look disturbed, what’s wrong?

Christen ➡Jusy thinking about us… I’m worried Riley.

Riley ➡ Babe.. Don’t be.. I won’t lose you this time… I told you didn’t I.. Where ever you go, I’m right next to you.. Nothing will keep us apart this time. I promise you.

Christen smiled at me as I said that, she reached to where I was and sat on my thighs kissing me, I couldn’t see where we were going but Christen had already handled the situation.

Riley ➡ Christen.. I’m driving.

Christen ➡ Don’t worry lover.. The car is under my spell, just sit back relax and put your hands around me.. Just enjoy ourselves.

After that, I grabbed hold of Christen’s hips and kissed her as the car drove itself, thanks to Christen’s magic.. We spent the rest of minutes doing nothing but kissing each other romantically.
An hour later, we arrived at our destination, after parking the car, we noticed there were some cars parked as well, as I got a close look at the cars, I recognized some of them.. They belonged to some of my colleagues working at the ( A. I. S), in that moment, Christen and I gasped as we saw one of the girls that was kidnapped, she was pulled out of a boot of a car and her hands were tied and she looked messy and to my surprise, the girl was that Old man’s daughter, Mary.
The questions in my mind was, how did the (A. I. S) get involved with these missing girls? And what were they doing with them?
