A love story that just started can't go down the drain like that ,.
The corps and medics arrived on time as the cleared up the place .
Lisa and drey were placed on a stretcher but strangely enough their fingers were still locked so tightly that it could not be separated .
This is to show that nothing can ever come in between their love for each other.
They were taken into the ambulance like that since their fingers could not be separated.
I drove behind them , as my heart beat increased rapidly .
I would make sure nothing happens to them even if it means flying them outta the country.
We arrived at the city hospital shortly , I came outta my car as I started shouting at all of them .
All the doctors came rushing out as they helped move them inside the theater .
I wanted to go with them but , the head surgeon stopped me saying they have everything under control.
I moved back and forth impatiently waiting for the doctor to come out and tell me they're okay.
I groaned inwardly as I thought about Maurice , I should have been the one to kill him .
The clock was ticking and I haven't heard anything yet.
The nurses kept moving around hastily and none refused to tell me what's going on.
Am seriously scared for the both of them especially the little infant .
I sat down on the lobby chair for good three hours but still nothing yet.
I stood up again as I paced around impatiently soon the surgeon came outta the operation room with a long face I didn't wait for him to come closer as I rushed to him .
"How are they doing doc?" I asked the moment I got to him . He signed and looked at him.
" Kindly come with me to my office" he said as he walked towards a office just down the hallway , while I followed suit.
We got into his office as he ushered me to the chair infront of his desk.
"You haven't answered my question doc how's the patients" I asked with a cold tone.
" Hmm all my years as a doctor in training till I became a head surgeon I haven't seen anything situation like this " he said Calmly.
" Tell me what's going on" I asked.
" They're outta danger for now ,turns out Mr Audrey took four bullets but fortunately none of his organs were damaged .how ever there's a problem , he slipped into coma while we're trying to control his blood pressure ."
" The strangest thing is that we couldn't seperate their fingers had to do the operation with her bed besides his because we has to options he was losing so much blood. The bullets were removed successfully but am afraid medically we can't do anything at the moment let's just pray to God for a miracle."
" For the young miss she and her child are in deed fighters . With the way she had lost so much blood it was nearly not impossible for her not to lose the pregnancy."
" The fetus is fine and healthy same goes to the mother. For now we sedated her to place her under observation she's gonna be up soon" he said .

" Where are they now?" I whisper audibly.
"They're in emergency room 0569 with hands on each other " he added.

He nodded and led me to their ward ,. I wasn't allowed to enter so I stood by the glass door and watched over them.

"I promise nothing is gonna happen to both of you and gonna make sure of it " I muttered to myself.
Their fingers as locked pretty good . All my life I haven't seen anything like this.

"Prayer is the key to any problem" the doctor said behind me and walked away.
