” drop your guns or I kill her ” I threatened as I placed the knife nearer to her neck
” don’t listen to ” she couldn’t complete her sentence before she started coughing out blood.
” what did you do to me ” she fought hard to ask .
” I’m sorry love ” I said as I pushed her to one of the guys holding the gun.
I threw the knife to another and it got stuck in his head.
The remaining guys started shooting sporadically but I was swift to take cover in the spot where the guy I killed was.
I took his gun shot two out of the guys while the rest quickly took cover.
Sophia’s cough has increased drastically as blood was already oozing from her mouth and nose.
Seeing this, I quickly press a button on my shoe and gas emanated from it filling the room, I inserted my hand into my trouser’s rear pocket get my handkerchief but couldn’t find it.
My antidote was lost, and the gas released will swiftly aid the manifestation of the poison in my system.
I quickly ran out the same way I came in, got on my bike and sped out of the building as the gate was wildly opened.
I haven’t covered a long distance when I saw three black range Rover cars at my back through the rear mirror.
I increased my speed and the handlers of the cars also did to theirs.
The poison was already reacting in my body, I was doomed to die soon if I don’t get to the antidote quickly.
The road was free, there was no vehicle on the road except ours.
They were gaining on me, and I couldn’t ride faster again, I was trying to breath slowly and focus my attentions on a face which I’ve held unto since a long time ago in order to reduce the pace at which the poison was taking over my system.
Through my rear mirror I suddenly saw some guys brought out gun from the windows of the cars aiming at me.
I quickly swerve to another road which intercepted the one I was riding through.
The screeching of their car’s tyre was easily heard by me as they stepped on their brake and reversed to keep on the pursuit.
That wasn’t the first time I was entangled in a hot pursuit situation, so I’d enough experience to take them down, but that was my first time of being affected with poison and getting myself entangled in a pursuit.
The road I took was a narrow one ,making it impossible for two cars to thread it side by side.
I pressed a button on my bike and some things like tiny marbles fell from it , the cars taking the leading position in the pursuit stepped on it and booms, the marbles exploded, propelling the car up ,the other pursuant were fast enough to pass under it before it came down with a loud crash.
I let out a forced smile but it was cut short when a hit a dead end.
The road was blocked, because of an ongoing construction happening in the next street.
I increased my speed as I hit the weak woods that was used to block the road, I almost got caught up by one of the heavy truck used in constructing the road, I quickly swerved left driving through the midst of the engineers working on the road as they all propelled themselves to different directions to save themselves.
I suddenly heard a crashing sound, I looked back and saw the heavy truck I averted crushing one of the cars, it was the last car at the back, the first one was able to escape it but the last one got unlucky.
It wasn’t easy for me to ride my bike on the ground filled with granites.
My speed reduced but reverse was the case for the car, it overtook me and slowed down to be at the same level with me, a guy having on a dark glasses brought out an ak49 and aimed it at me I swiftly stepped on my break as he shot the gun which made him miss me.
I turned my bike,wrapped my hand firmly on its clutch as I whirled it as I propelled the bike forward with force as I raised the upper part of the bike up and rode on the rear tyre.
I hit all the road block sign which were still standing as I dashed out of the area with speed.
The car couldn’t speed much because it could only pursue me in a reverse mode, it was impossible to turn the car.
When I was about to get to the side where the accident occurred, I positioned my bike to be able to pass through the little space secluded out.
I jumped down from it as I quickly climbed the heavy truck, jumped on the crushed car, and gymnast myself on my bike which just made it out through the little space.
I smiled as I saw the workers rushing to get hold of the last car standing but it couldn’t make it out because of the truck that barricade the road.
I coughed intensely as made my way back to the university in order to quickly get my hand on the antidote.
It wasn’t easy for me as blood has started dropping bit by bit out from my nose.
I rode with immense speed as I was losing it little by little.
My vision was getting affected by the poison and my breathing was becoming ragged.
I horned impatiently as I got to the entrance of the school gate, one of the security took a peep at me and I forced out a smile in order to hide my pain.
I quickly wiped out traces of blood from my nose with my shirt.
” clarification ” the security screamed.
Right, he wasn’t there when I came in the morning and when I left earlier on the bike.
That’s when I noticed that all the faces there were different from the ones I saw earlier.
” clarification ” the security screamed again as I seemed to stayed on my bike unbudgingly.
I forgot to take my ID card with me, a custom I haven’t been used to.
” I’m a lecturer here ” I tried to scream but found out the words was barely leaving my mouth.
The urge to cough was growing violently in me, I knew a good amount of blood was also going to flow out of my mouth if I did, reducing my chances of survival.
I was sweating profusely as I battled for survival inwardly while I think of how I was going to prove my status to the securities.
I heard the sound of a car speeding towards me, I turned my head and I was surprised to see a black range Rover car heading towards me.
